Incredible hardware store. If you dont see what you came in for, its in the basement! Personalized, fantastic service- staff not only knows the neighborhood but remembers you and your house! Excellent suggestions, relatable problem solving ideas, hometown feel. This is the store old timers always mean when they mention the way things used to be!!Prices reflects reality not buying the power of corporate overseas big box monopolies.
Really cool old hardware store. The employees are always friendly and helpfull and will find pretty much anything you need. Claims to be the oldest continually running hardware store in Illinois and celebrates this with lots of antiques, old photos, and a train that runs around the store.
Right after graduating high school I worked there for about two and a half years. It was and is still most likely awesome. Wish I could revisit but I live in Peoria now. Maybe someday. I learned a lot there and got good exercise. Thank you Stanley, Ethel, Art, Ed, etc.
Unfortunately I stopped by during their, Going out of business sale. This seemed like a very nice store. I wish them the best of luck in the future.
This place is highway robbery! You can find what you need at Menards, Home Depot, or Lowes at half what youll pay at Jebens. I know the appeal for supporting the mom and pop businesses, but I just cant pay Jebens prices. Even if they were in the ballpark of the big box hardware stores I would still be willing to spend my money at Jebens, but its not even close!
You can exactly what you need. A little pricey. But you can buy what you need exactly and nothing extra.
Nice old fashioned hardware store. They have it all. Dont try selling you something you dont need. Staff very knowledgeable.
More intimate than the big box stores. Workers actually know what they are talking about and dont ever tell u thats not my department
I am sooo sadden that they are closing this is my home store they are unique and if they dont have it in the store Judy will get for you.... This store is a landmark and has a lot of memory for the Blue Island community...I am devistated
They always have what i need.Nice people working in store also. Better thanbig box stores.
Always friendly, knowledgeable staff help you find whatever you need. Suprisingly large inventory and a wonderfully crafted front window with all sorts of vintage items and nostalgia.
It was great. They always have what Im looking for.
Great service! I love the enviroment. Judy rocks!
Needed a few lengths of black pipe to hook up my dryer, came in late afternoon the day before the 4th of July - Big John had my pipe ready in less than 15 minutes while Jonathon gathered the elbows, valve and flexible connector - all at a great price. Menards and Home Depot cant beat that kind of old-fashioned service!
