Beautiful decor, very cozy & inviting. Professional and accommodating, providing a nice glass of wine & water. My pedicure was fantastic, water was a bit hotter than I prefer, but easily fixed. I absolutely LOVED my experience at Artricia’s Salon. I moved to Richmond in January and it’s taken me almost 6 months to find a nail therapist that takes the time & has the expertise that she does. I appreciated her explaining each step during my manicure and educating me about the health of my nails. She made me so comfortable and she is beyond personable. I searched for days for someone who had the knowledge to do colored acrylic nails and it seems she is the only one in not only Richmond but tidewater as well and my nails are absolutely beautiful. Looking for someone who can do it all and who does an EXCELLENT job? If so, Artricia is your girl! She is amazing not to mention kind, patient, educated and keeps you informed throughout the whole process. I first went for an eyebrow wax and tint and it was by far the best and most thorough experience I’ve ever had. My tint stayed on for over 3 weeks and Artricia is helping me accomplish my “brow goals”. Now she’s doing my gel manicures, pedicures (which are by far the best pedicures I’ve EVER had. My feet look and feel awesome!) and tomorrow she’ll be applying my first eyelash extensions. Artricia is someone who cares about what she does and it’s evident in her work. She puts in time and makes sure you are completely satisfied. Do yourself a favor and book her for one or more of her services!! You won’t regret it.

Ive been to Artricia Balenci Salon and Spa twice and both times that Ive been I walked out feeling great. Im transitioning from relaxed to natural and its been a struggle until I came here. I love that the salon is peaceful, clean, and very relaxing. I also love that Im not sitting in the salon all day. My time is valued when I enter the salon. I have an appointment scheduled next week cant wait, to see how my designer cut and signature blowtique will be. Thanks for a job well done.

Terrible experience and customer service before I even got to the door. I recently moved to Richmond and had purchased a Groupon voucher for a mani/pedi. I called to schedule my appointment and was told that the salon would not honor my purchase because they “no longer work with Groupon.” There were no apologies for the inconvenience and the receptionist did not invite me to the salon to book another appointment. My view is that the salon’s staff is unprofessional and uncaring and they will not receive my business in the future. (Disclaimer: I have professional experience working for a top-ranked salon in northern Virginia and have a leg to stand on when giving this opinion.)

So I purchased an Groupon for an manicure and pedicure and scheduled an appointment the beginning of April for Tuesday. The owner calls the day of my appointment and tell me she will have to reschedule because there were issues with Groupon. So I had to cancel because I was leaving to go out of town that Thursday. I contacted Groupon and they told me I couldn’t get an refund or credit. Fast forward til today, I attempted to another appointment and an hour later it’s cancelled. The person is saying “Appointment cannot be accommodated with Artricia Balenci Salon and Spa on Thu, May-03-2018 due to: I am no longer working with Groupon. Unfortunately I cannot accept your Groupon voucher or honor the money you paid for the voucher because Groupon has not paid me. You can get a credit from Groupon that you can use toward any deals they offer. This is what customers are doing so they dont lose their money completely. Thank you”. Then on top of that she was upset that I refused her discount after she canceled my second appointment so she decided to try to attack me and try to place blame on me. I never asked for free service, she was very unprofessional.It’s sad that neither company will accommodate me, whatever these companies have going on between each other shouldn’t effect an customer. I was recommend to go to this salon but now I will never step into this shop.Money wasn’t the issue it was her attitude about the situation which was the problem. She definitely need to work on her customer service skills!!!

I have been searching for someone who was local that could take care of my hair and make sure that the breakage stops. I found Artricias post on facebook about her Blowtique Cocktail special and made a phone call ASAP. When she answered we scheduled my appointment, deposit was paid and I arrived the day of appointment nervous for it to be my first time. Not only did Artricia make sure that my visit was comforting and that I left feeling great about my hair. She explained everything I needed to do to make sure that we got my hair growing and on its journey to becoming natural. She explained every product she put in my hair and why she was using it. Definitely an experience Im glad I had. I will be returning and I am glad I found her.

I was referred to Artricia by one of my girlfriends whos hair I could not stop complimenting; 2 days later I booked an appointment and was completely satisfied! I received a haircut and her Signature Blowtique Cocktail. Artricia was wonderful and the atmosphere of her salon is perfect!

Bought a groupon for gel mani + pedicure. Made an appointment. mentioned Id need soak-off. they told me theres a $10 charge for soak-off. I mentioned that no one has ever before charged me for soak-off and was told that they dont usually charge for soak-off either, but since I was getting such a discount with groupon they were going to charge me. Kind of missed the point of groupon, as far as im concerned. I canceled the appointment and will cancel the groupon as well. Watch out for hidden charges with this place.

I visited Artricia Balenci Salon and Spa on yesterday and received a Blowtique Signature Cocktail. I was very pleased with my entire experience. Artricia is very knowledgeable. I was skeptical to go there because Im natural and was unsure of how well shed be able to manage it. She completely exceeded my expectations. My hair was left softer than it has ever been, and full of body. She also gave me a nice healthy cut. Artricia Balenci Salon and Spa is a warm, welcoming, comfortable environment and a great place for naturals!! Will definitely be going back.

I had a wonderful experience at Artricias salon.I had the pleasure of actually having Artricia herself service me with a blow out, health trim and manicure. Firstly, there was NO wait time, she is punctual with her appointments! In her salon, she has refreshing drinks (infused waters, flavored lemonades, cookies, coffee, you name it!) the shampoo was phenomenal ! She takes her time and massages your head, neck, temples and finished with a hot towel. I almost fell asleep! Being a licensed cosmetologist myself Ive had plenty of bad experiences from so-called master stylists; Artricia is not one of them! Any question you have she always has an educated and well thought out plan for your hair needs. I recommend Artricia for anyone with ANY hair type. Artricia is the TRUE definition of a MASTER stylist!
