It was our first time eating at this restaurant and both my husband and I love it! We had the vegan cheeseburger and waffle fries it was delicious. The service was great, too.

Crab burger..Fries and donuts are good but they are always out of something they literally have been out of crab burgers for a month as well as when there in the season of doing lemon donuts they are always sold out and its not even close to closing hours

Let mw start out by thanking the people there. My 1st time so I had to try the food first. The food was excellent. We had a vegan shake, vegan pizza,and vegan wings. Polite, quite, clean environment. Just like I like it. I dont like over stimulating environments loud music, loud people. Anyway its perfect for your vegan journey.

We eat here about once a week. Its always a challenge to find a vegan kids menu and that is a huge bonus for us. Theres a good variety of vegan options (its easy to order off the Green Ghost menu at the same time) so we never get tired. And there are some good omnivore options if you have a mixed group. My favorite dish is the Hot Honey Nashville Chicken (they have a non vegan version too). I will say I hesitated to give it 5 stars because they consistently seem understaffed, but I think that is more of a reflection of the current job market. They do seem like they are trying really hard and always have a positive attitude so I can let it slide if my order isnt ready when it is supposed to be.

Ive been wanting to go here for a long time. Ive heard that the vegan options are delicious; and its true! Plus you can grab a doughnut or flavorful coffee. I wish that it wasnt raining so I could have eaten outside. The outdoor seating area would have been perfect minus the rain. There was no indoor seating. The food was delicious. The vegan dog, the cajun fries, the old bay fries, and lavender honey coffee were all very tasty. Ill be back for more.

The best donut burgers Ive tried. Delicious Fluffy donuts with amazing beef patty. Added bacon and got all of the topping. The special burger sauce was delicious. Waffle fries were good aswell. Service was quick and efficient.

The Luther burger, old bay waffle fries and soma milk shake was great!!! If you go make sure you do not eat any sweets for a whole week before you go. Overall great meal, fast and friendly service.

I had the Nashville Chicken sandwich and I can honestly say it was good. I literally had 7 waffle fries and the majority were half slices so I was a tad turned off by that because the fries are $2.50 alone. They apparently dont provide napkins. There was a tall, very slim woman who was delivering food that had a very cold and nonchalant energy about her. She didnt seem to like to bring the food out to customers for sure. Maybe she doesnt like her job. Im not certain, but she forgot my lemonade and when she brought it out the cap wasnt on the cup properly and drink spilled all over my driver door. I decided to not bother with asking for napkins since she had such a negative air about her and had walked off so quickly anyhow she probably didnt notice what happened. All in all, I enjoyed the meal and would revisit, but the woman I just spoke on brings down the pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant because the woman in the booth was lovely and very helpful with her reviews on menu items. The guy who answered the phone was pleasant as well. They almost have a Chic Fil A customer service atmosphere so hopefully, the woman receives more customer service training to not deter customers. This was my first time at the restaurant and that employee and the 8 fries is the reason for 3 stars. But the taste of the food wouldve been 5.

This was the best restaurant burger I have ever tasted. It is obviously not “preformed “. I may never get a hamburger from anywhere else.

Overall in summary, a disappointment. I so wanted to love this place since I live right down the street and could’ve come back every few days.What we have here is basically the top end of the fast food spectrum. OK 1/4 pound burgers, well done, with basic topping choices, but on crushed and abused buns (see photo). My daughter’s burger was cross-contaminated with onions, not ordered as such. No allergies in this case but just sloppy prep.Service was average. Waffle fries were flavored by salt toppings and were OK. The concept has huge promise but fell short for us. Won’t return.Edit: if you want a burger on a donut as the bun, the signature style, ask for “Luther style”. This is not remotely explained on the menu or by staff. I discovered after dining.

I had a beef Luther Burger with four delicious patties and dragon fries on the side. It was amazing. It was a lot to eat but the burger:patty ratio was perfect. Very good turkey burgers and the various flavors of fries. The burgers arent very big, but for the price, its a good value. Defintely worth the trip especially since they are connected to Sugar Shack donuts.

The Luther burger wasn’t cooked correctly. The milkshake seemed melted and made with little care. However the staff at the front was very nice. I feel like sugar shack should just stick to donuts and ditch the burger idea. It wasn’t that good.

This place is a world wind of variety, from vegan donuts, to vegan and angus burgers, to pizza and all under one roof. Only downside was that the chicken tenders were wing spun in sauce instead of a dipping sauce on the side, so when we got home, one of my kids only ate fries. But the fries, were parmesan cheese fries, and how do you go wrong with that.

The staff helped customers who clearly came in after us and was standing behind us. No one acknowledged that we were there to be helped. When they asked the other customer what they would like to order she had to LOOK over us because we were directly in front of the counter, where you would be standing to place your order, in front of the register. I am grossly disgusted by the behavior of the staff. To have a person look past you to help another patron standing directly behind you like you dont exist was something that I hope no one else of color experiences. I would give 0 stars if I could.*edit* after reading other reviews I am not the only patron that has had terrible service from the tall slender waitress. She is extremely rude and I would like to say it was just her, but when asked why she would skip over us while we have been waiting, her coworkers watched her nonchalantly say, oh she thought we were helped. I am disgusted because it seems to be a behavior that is acceptable at their location towards patrons of color. I refuse to allow establishments to treat people like this to go unscathed and will be personally contacting your management to understand why this is acceptable behavior in 2021 and in Virginia. If this is the treatment that patrons of color will be receiving then others need to know so they do not fund this despicable practice.

Well, what can I say?The teenaged staff was friendly, yes.The menu was pretty clear.The crab burger was meh at best. The regular burger was okay. The waffle fries were lukewarm.The floor was filthy. There was a serious leak of some sort in the bathroom. But the staff was too busy chatting to address the housekeeping.I wont be back.*** Thanks for responding Luther Burger. We arent interested in a refund. We had our food, we didnt die, we wont be back. Our curiosity about Luther has been satisfied. Judging by your positive reviews, you do fill a niche for some people.

First time visiting, I tried the Luther Burger with the dont buns. Unfortunately, I was not blown away by it like everyone else. It was a well made, quality burger, however, the sweetness of the donuts pretty much overpowered all other flavors. I couldnt really taste the flavors of the meat, the special sauce or any of the toppings except the onions. The fries were waffle fries with your choice of toppings. I tried the white cheddar, which was pretty good. I do plan on returning and trying a regular burger or possibly a crab burger. I will update my review at that time.

We ordered a burger fries combo and a pizza the order was 20 minutes late but that is okay with todays world glad they had some people working. I guess we got someones else burger combo because the burger did not have what we ordered on it and no seasoning for the fries that we ordered. The delay on the order was for the pizza but once we got home expecting a really good pizza I was disappointed. The pizza was very dry and crunchy it lacked sauce and possibly over cooked.

Best vegan burger hands down! I honestly for a moment got worried I had a beef patty. My first experience with the impossible burger was a good one I’d say. The fact that they also have vegan milkshakes blows my mind. Everything was amazing.

I was so excited to go by and get curbside service. I ordered a beyond burger w/lettuce & cheese and cajun fries and both were so good.They had a really great organized curbside process and just as soon as the wait seemed to get long, someone knocked on the door with a free box of donuts for the long wait. This was such a nice gesture. The best part was we are vegan and she didnt mind at all when we asked if we could swap for vegan donuts instead. And low key....Those donuts were really delicious too.I look forward to going back soon.

Waited awhile for food while all others were served (I believe orders got mixed up). Fries were spilled all in the bottom of the bag and not labeled, and the old-fashioned donut was raw in the middle. Very subpar quality of service and food.

Try just a burger for the first time. The staff were friendly and the food was definitely worth it. I had always made my own donut burgers and did not know of anywhere near to get. Their burger and fries are amazing but maybe a little too much seasoning on the fries I tried the Old Bay seasoning it was good but a little too much. Next time I will ask for like seasoning or seasoning on the side. The burger was so juicy and the donuts were fresh. I had never had a donut burger with two Donuts always one Donuts cut in half and sauteed. But it was really good. Great place to take the family. Seating opens to the outside. And of course Sugar Shack is attached to the building.

My first time here ordering a vegan cheeseburger and waffle fries. I would have given them 5☆ but the food was unacceptably cold. Both fries and burger..it wasnt even hot enough to melt the cheese. Also the bun felt like they had just taken it out of the fridge. Otherwise had it been hot it would have been perfect. It was good but could have been better hot. I will give them another chance at a later date.

This pains me to write because I’ve been a loyal customer since Luther Burger started, but the service has drastically declined.After waiting 30 minutes for my burger and fries that was already ordered online 30 minutes before arriving- I finally said screw it and asked for a refund.If you can’t have a burger made and out in an hour you’ve got some service issues.

I love Luther Burger and Sugar Shack. Good classic American food at a decent price with lots of vegan options. I have a dairy allergy and Sugar Shack has allowed me to eat donuts and milkshakes and all kinds of things I can never order at other restaurants. I love it and I’m glad it’s near by.Unfortunately, since COVID and delivery has been more prominent my orders have gotten messed up multiple times. Regular milkshakes instead of vegan, burgers with the wrong toppings, that kind of thing.Four stars overall.

It sounds like a great burger, it looks like a sweet treat, and it is filling with fries and a shake. But... it is far too sweet and the flavors just don’t go well together. Better off going with a donut or a burger, not both. If you’re anything like the 4 of us that had it, you might be feeling sick afterwards. Not worth it.

Chose the vegan burger (taste was pretty good, doesnt look like the photo) wasnt feeling the diced onions and the burger fell apart. Kids meal waffle fries were loaded with too much salt. The donuts were slim picking and I think they have changed up the ingredients. Seems cakey over doughnut air fluff. It was ok, but not worth the long drive- if planning a night out.

I will start off to say, my coworkers and I love this place. We tell everybody about it! However, today was very disappointing, I dont know who is in the kitchen today, but its not their best day. I usually ignore small mistakes, things happen, but come on, was the ticket even read. Out of 3 orders, 2 paid extra for bacon, neither person received it. 1 person did not get their drink. Another did not get any seasoning on their fries as submitted. Anothers crab sandwich was like mashed potatoes. And no one received the side cup of sauce for their fries, thats a complimentary signature. May I go on?

I am about 10 visits in with Luther Burger. If I rated them on today alone, it would be one star. However if I rated them on my very first visit and first couple visits, it would be five stars.Overall, Luther Burger has great potential but they are steadily getting worse. They started out with juicy burgers that were correctly made. Now, everything is dry and wrong.Today I went for a bacon cheeseburger with tomato and onion and I received a burger with no cheese no onion and only one slice of tomato.The donut as a bun is a novelty and its worth trying but comparing apples to apples, especially for me who usually gets a lettuce wrap, Im just going to go to Habit from now on.Again, great potential. if you havent tried it and you want to get a donut bun go for it... Otherwise, just go to Habit.Also, every single time I get ketchup packets from this place they are always sticky and gross!

Burgers and fries were tasty, especially the waffle fries. Wait time was a longer than expected since we ordered ahead for pick up. They have the parking lot coned off into a carside pickup queue with sugar shack which is a little abrupt when coming around a corner off a busy street like Huguenot and tight driving while in the parking lot.

I had a chocolate chip cookie milkshake (that they made entirely non-dairy to accommodate my allergy to milk), a regular burger, carne asada fries, and even got a free mudpot donut texted to me immediately after ordering! For a $5 burger, its fantastic. The beef is well seasoned and the potato brioche buns are really soft. The carne asada fries were just okay. The donuts are always good.

In one small roof burgers and donuts, the burgers are big, well cooked and juicy. I like the variety of waffles potatoes seasoned. The parking lot is small but worth it.

Luther Burger is great for many reasons. My whole family can eat here, veg and gf people, and the food is really good - best waffle fries ever. They love all kinds of people. And they love helping people. Its definitely a place you can feel good supporting. Price is right too :)

Id been meaning to go here for close to a year and happened to be in the area so I dropped by. I of course got a Luther. I didnt find the actual burger patty to be all that impressive but since Sugar Shack is providing the donut portion it redeemed it somewhat. The fries were good as well as the service. Ill probably try again later.

Waited 15 min in line to order (I believe we were 4th or 5th in line). Waited additional 40 minutes for food to arrive. Sodas were flat, Burgers were decent, but not worth the money. My kids grilled cheeses were flat and hard as bricks. Bathrooms were gross. Do not plan on going back

I wish I found out about Luther burger sooner. I no longer eat beef, but the vegan burger did not disappoint! They have waffle fries and they were actually better than Chikfila honestly. And of course I had a donut as dessert. I cant wait to return to try the crab burger and another type of donut. Im a new forever customer!

I purchased the vegan sausage breakfast biscuit combo. And....wow. These things are amazing. I bought 5 extra to share with the family and everyone was shocked at how awesome the taste and texture was. Im sure they make the patty in house as well. Worth the 1+ hour drive for me.Not to mention the staff at both Luther Burger and Sugar Shack were very professional and patient. 👏👏

I bought a double cheeseburger with bacon on a potato bun. It was delicious! I think next time Ill order a single burger because the patties were a good size, so I really only need a single. I had the crab burger at a previous visit and there was a lot of crab meat and it was so tasty. The prices are very reasonable as well. I think Ill try a donut bun on my burger for my next visit.

Its good, a nice place for lunch but maybe not dinner. Burgers are simple smash burgers (unless you get the donut buns, which I didnt try) and are tasty. Not too expensive. Fries are waffle fries with lots of seasoning choices, but the seasoning is too light and inconsistently applied to matter much. The restaurant is definitely not fancy.Just a good straightforward burger joint.

Food was not good. Ordered 2 little burger meals for my kids and a turkey burger with cheese and bacon for myself. The burgers were tasteless flat and overcooked and the bacon was burnt. The kids waffle fries had so much salt they were unsuitable for children and as much as I like salt it was too much for me too. They did have white milk and gogo apple sauce which the kids and I appreciated. We ate in the dining room at a table across from the donut case, its sad when my oldest who is 5 makes a come t about the dirty floors. With small kids you know you will get to visit most all public restrooms which is where I drew the line. The restroom reminded me of one in a dive bar in the city, ewe. The sign on the door was laughable please let us know if this restroom is in need of attention really like you dont know the toilet paper holder is broken?

Terrible system. Ordered online and I tried calling the store to let people know which parking number and was told to go back in line and tell the person in the booth. Ive been waiting here for 25 mins this has been the worst buying experience. My suggestion is just copy chik Fil a model for curbside pickup and provide good service. Cant wait to eat my soggy burger and cold fries.Responding to the owner - your system is NOT effective. What is the point of ordering online? So I can go through the line and wait another 10-15mins? Yea your ability to take feedback and look for ways to pivot/adjust to your customers needs tells me a lot about your company.

Ordered around 1:38p today and when i arrived at 1:55 and pulled in the order was ready. Efficient service. I ordered a vegan burger w/potato bun special sauce and parm garlic waffle fries and a chocolate shake. Ordered my son a kid’s meal. It was our first time trying something different and I’m glad we did. It was freshly cooked and delicious.

I step up to the counter and of course no one was there while the young girl who was supposed to be at the counter had her back turned flirty talking with some older guy I guess was the cook. This is par for this area in most faster food restaurants where children are hired who want to concentrate more on their phone than the customers.The burger was flavorful and quickly prepared although a very small patty for the price.Condiment packs are given on the side, but they may might want to make sure those little packs are clean before they put sticky ones covered in old ketchup from busted packs in your bag. Not quite sanitary Id assume.The Crab Burger was blah, and was more like loose Special/backfin grilled hard then packed onto a bun, and with the only condiment being cocktail sauce, which was promised but omitted from the to go order, and no tartar sauce available, which I prefer, it was bland and lacking and a bit burnt on the outside from over-grilling.I didnt try the fries since they are Frozen and pre-packaged and just dusted with flavoring from powders that include god-knows-what preservatives, anti-caking agents and chemical flavoringsWith better burgers at the $5-6 range available, and no good memory of the crab sandwich, I have little motivation to come back, but I will to try the other sandwiches and milkshakes, despite some poor reviews, before giving a final updated assessment.They really need to Beef It Up here imo

First visit to Luther Burger, was greeted as I walked in. I allowed another customer to be served so to check the menu. Ordered the crab which was flavorful; a bit mushy more than I cared for. Waffle fries were tasty and not overly seasoned. Received a coupon by text which inspired me to try them. Will go again at some point.

Glad they still have a vegan option. Used to be the Impossible burger; now its the Beyond Meat burger. Still very, very good! Fries also good.The place is a little small, with small 2-seat tables, so if you roll up with 6 or 8 guys, like we did, its a little challenging to sit together. But the service was quick and friendly.

The burger I had had no taste at all what so ever...seems like the meat was already cooked and just sitting out dry as hell. Will never buy one again... However the people there was super nice and friendly

The food was delicious as always (you HAVE to try the Luther burger), but the service was terrible. We had never been to this location, and although COVID-19 restrictions were in place, the staff seemed to have a good system going. We ordered our food, parked, received the food and left. As we approached home we noticed they charged us an extra donut, which we werent too bothered by. They at least included it in our box. But we also noticed they forgot to include a different donut we ordered. We were charged for it though. Our friend drove back to the store to get our missing item. When he returned, we checked our bag again and realized they also forgot an order of fries that we were charged for. We should have checked our bag more thoroughly, but it was still a huge disappointment.

Two items were left off of my order and my hot dog had raw onions on it instead of caramelized onions. I cant eat raw onions, only cooked onions, because of a food sensitivity, and they were all over the hot dog so I couldnt eat my food. When I called, the young lady who answered the phone was very rude and basically said, Were short staffed and slammed with customers so oh well.Ill never get food from here again.

Was looking forward to this for a while, but really really disappointed. every table was dirty, the floor was covered in crumbs, and the bathroom was gross. fries were room temperature and seemed air fried. vegan burger was pretty good, but not 9$ good. 2/3 orders were incorrect. girl at the counter was friendly and apologetic. if you care about atmosphere and enjoy hot food then i would pass this place up.

Bad service. We ordered curbside pickup and then sat there for like a half hour and they just never brought it out. After we went in to get it, they forgot part of the order. At least they gave us a free doughnut. Food was pretty swell.

I got a burger, fries, and a shake while I was here and everything was awesome. Nothing over the top about the burger it was just exactly how a burger should be. Fries were crispy but not crunchy and the seasoning was top notch stuff. I loved the milkshake because it was smooth and the flavors they have are great too. Definitely going back next time Im in town, doesnt hurt there inside a sugar shack too 🤷‍♂️

My best friend and I regularly eat here. So regular, we are remembered by staff. We love your food, and most of your service! Love being able to bring my little dog with me! But. We came in last night 15 minutes before you guys closed. Understandably, yes it’s a bit late. But you guys saw him come to the door. Didn’t acknowledge him. Laughed at him instead. The cook and the woman mopping.Needless to say, we went to Panda Express a couple of minutes before they closed and we weren’t ignored.I understand closing restaurants, I’ve done it before. I understand mopping, I know you don’t want people walking on top of your clean floor. We don’t understand the rude laughter. We don’t understand why you ignored us. We will be coming back in to talk about this.As much money as we throw into your restaurant we do deserve respect, all of your customers do really.

It was okay. I tried a Luther Burger and it was okay. Service was fine. Prices were okay. I just wasnt blown away by anything. Fries were nice to pick the different seasonings that could go on top.
