We are new to SWFL fishing and he helped us pick out all the hardware and bait to successfully fish the Gulf.Also had the opportunity to meet his wife and baby daughter, who where in the store. Beautiful young family with an entrepreneurial spirit. They have my highest recommendation and hope you can support them.

I try to stop in every time Im vacationing in Naples to update some fishing gear and pickup a t-shirt or koozie. What a pleasant surprise to find out ownership has changed! Staff was super friendly and the shop was looking great. Cant wait to come back in next year and check out the new merchandise and bait offerings!

I was absolutely blown away by my experience at Master Bait & Tackle. Clean, organized, and SUPER friendly. What impressed me most is the time the owner spent walking me through what to use and when to use it. I’m a Midwestern with moderate saltwater fishing knowledge at best, and his advice had me on fish all week! This will be my first stop every time I go down to SWFL now.

Always a stop by the store for bait, although not a fisherman I got my guys some really great things - love the variety and gifts they have for every fishermans needs!

I just bought 2 dozen of shrimp today(first timer there), I thought the shop smelled worst than all the other shops I visited in Naples, I made a mistake not looking at the bucket when I got it. When I got outside and looked at it, the water inside was the murkiest water I have ever seen from bait-shop. After I got to the fishing site(15 min later) and freshened the water, I saw why. Even there were definitely more than 2 dozen of shrimp inside the bucket, 2/3 of them were dead and decomposing... Dont recommend to anybody for live bait unless you are regular so they know you.

Theyll have everything you need for inshore and offshore fishing. Pretty standard bait shop with a great name. They do NOT sell fishing licenses there. I guess its pretty common in Florida but I didnt know that before I got there.

Brought my boys to gather the correct fishing supplies necessary for pier fishing. I was relieved & grateful the man knew his stuff & took his time to teach us about fishing too. :)

I had a smile on my face before I walked in, and left with an even bigger smile. I was purchasing my apparel and the guy noticed from my liscence I was from michigan, hes like the guy behind you is from michigan also. We were both YOOPERS. You cant get much further north-south just incredible. I bought everything I could. Hats, stickers,shirts. Amazing experience and very friendly atmosphere, even had a guy on the beach ask me about my hat, he had been trying to get one in that color.

Ive been here a few times, only when desperate for bait but not anymore.I found another and much better bait shop just a block away, heading west. Even thought this is a smaller place it has everything to include good customer service.Master bait is the nastiest business Ive ever encountered!Not only I got old product, like the kind fish wont eat but also the bait that falls off the hook as soon as it touches the water!Besides, they dont have an inkling on the importance of good costumer service.In synthesis, skip this horrible place and bring your business to whom deserves it.

Every fishing community needs a Master bait and tackle..unlike most they have expanded to starting a school. Master bait U..reasonably priced can coolers available ..you cant beat their bait

What can i say, the guys that helped us out were great, and pricing was actually on point, considering most bait shops tend to be on the high side of things. Only down fall was the lack of goods. Sure, they had the necessities! But i had forgotten a few things at home and if it had been more of a one stop/shop it wouldve been perfect.

One of the guys is rude and has very poor customer service. He is always there and clearly hates it.Never will I purchase bait from this place again.I go to Fish Trap Marina instead, which is 1/4 mile west from this shop, also on Bonita Beach Road.The 2 gentlemen at FishTrap are friendly and helpful, and they have better prices, give them a try!

Our favorite bait shop!! Master Bait and Tackle has all the fishing gear you need to catch some fish. If you need a good laugh visit with the guys they will tell you all about Master Bait....and the Tackle 🤣

We had flown to Florida, so I had none of my fishing gear. Master Bait and Tackle rented me a nice, complete surf fishing outfit, including a Carolina Rig terminal tackle for only $10/day.The shop is clean and well stocked for its size and they also offer frozen shrimp or my favorite, frozen sand fleas for bait.It is owned and operated by a very gracious and young US Marine vet.This shop is worth a visit !

They do not accept payment with credit cards for any purchase under $10. Even if you bought $300 dollars of merchandise there the day before.

Yes it is a real bait shop. And yes the guys know their stuff and are very very helpful. Prices are fair and they have a solid inventory. If its not there its likely because it wont catch fish. The rent tackle as well as sell it so vacationers that want to get a line wet this is your spot.

If you are a northern retard, id recommend going some place else for your fishing needs. This bait shop is more along the lines of get what you need then go fishing. If you have a bunch of questions, or just looking around, get in the way of others (like snowbirds are notorious for) may I recommend Ace Hardware just down the street.

They were very friendly with me. All I bought was a license, some bait and a terminal tackle rigs. I am not all that familiar with surf fishing or salt water fishing. The man was very helpful showing me how to rig my tackle and telling me where to fish.

I went to master bait with my wife. We both enjoyed the experience and would go again together or on our own.

Master bait is nice, but I hear that master bait beats up some of his customers with his fishy meat. on the other hand their bait is some of the master quality and it can tackle on almost anything. one thing they need is, protection from penetration (into the fish). I WOOD like to CUM here for my morning pleasure looking at this master bait.
