My daughter wanted to switch from playing the trombone to playing the flute after a year of having the trombone and we were able to trade her trombone for a flute. The owner made it very easy with no stress involved and they always have quality instruments. I will definitely be bringing my guitar in for repairs.

I brought an old beat up guitar to them that I wanted to fix up. Its not the best guitar but its special. They worked with me around some pretty serious damage to cut down the price and still put the guitar back in great playing condition. Very happy with the value and level of communication/honesty.

During quarantine, the pickup selector on my PRS went out and I was crushed! I tried frantically to find a place that was open and safe to drop my guitar off at. B Natural Music came up and after a conversation with Steve I decided to drop it off. The hand off was CDC approved and at no point did I feel at risk. The best part is the repair only took 1 day and came in way under budget. Matt even said he could load me up with all the guitar essentials I needed to last out this pandemic! Wife told me to get a hobby so I decided to finally learn how to play this old guitar I’ve been dragging around for years. Didn’t know where to go but I saw the reviews for this place so I decided to give them a shot. Matt went through my guitar for me, tuned it, replaced strings, and fixed other misc. ailments I didn’t even know about. Quick turnaround time on my guitar and Matt was real easy to deal with. Since Matt was great on the repair side I figure I’d give him a shot on the teaching side. I’m only a couple lessons in but I have to say Matt nails it. Easy to talk to, listens to all my questions and has a great way of explaining things. Great guy to work with.

Friendly staff! Brian and Matt are easy to talk to and inspiring. They provide GREAT service and you can tell music is their passion. Everything you could need. You can buy beautiful instruments. The fixed my ukulele and are currently fixing my Dulcimer. They do music lessons too, and the people that work there are super sweet!

These guys offer a bunch of great services and a decent selection of gear. Lessons as well but are limited due to popularity and theyre pretty booked up. Gotta get on the waiting list.

The shop itself is small, but they have or can get just about anything. Steve is awesome. We go in regularly and hes always helpful, trying to help us find the best solution or best price. Theyve worked on both of my boys trumpets and its always done well and usually much faster than we expected.

Buyer beware. Bought a guitar here and should have taken it outside to view in the sunlight. It turned out to have a patch at the bottom of the neck and a crack on the base of the back. None of this was disclosed and ended up paying full price for a broken guitar.

I have been going here since my freshman year. Prices are great and even though they have a small shop they will have everything you need. If not they will order it for you and they never have charged shipping for me. They remember you... And your instrument which I find very nice. The owner goes out of his way to really help people, especially the high school band students. I will never go to anywhere else for anything because they have everything right there :)

When I first moved here and saw their website I knew this was going to be my music store. then when I walked thru the doors it only further convinced me. No accountability of their billing. Charges accounts without notifying customer that the item being charged is ALREADY PAID IN FULL. Their excuse, are you ready for this, they are better than another company. Great. Id recommend taking your business somewhere else if you know whats good for you or at least keeping really good tabs on what they do and make sure that their contracts are detailed, because they hide behind everything like a used car salesman.

The only thing that I have to say is bad (this music store is very far from bad) is that I was renting an alto saxophone and they lost all of our information but they werent charging us. They said my sax had been returned 6 months ago but I still had it at my house. I would highly recommend this music store to anyone who needs a quick repair or a neck stap or something.

Took my Taylor in today to get fixed with a fret buzz problem. I figured to spend around 100$ or so because I figured thats what guitar center would charge. Not only were the staff nice and friendly, they gave me a call the same day and told me it was only 18$!!!! The price of the strings! Great people will definitely take my guitars for all the needs there from now on and will only buy strings from there. Awesome people.

I moved to BL in September of 18 and needed a new local guitar shop to buy strings at and have an escape. I went in to the store and was underwhelmed by the guitar selection (as if we buy guitars daily...) until I realized, this is a store for established musicians. Rentals, repairs, supplies, lessons. THIS is what I needed. Not another GC that still doesnt have what I need.Matt is the owner and he runs the store with his brother-from-another-mother, Steven. They are both super kind guys that are deeply knowledgable about their instruments, craft, and music. Whether youre soft spoken and reserved or loud and obnoxious like me, they will make you feel comfortable when youre in the store.Ive been playing guitar for 13 years and while Im competent as a player, I am not where I want to be. I started taking lessons with Matt (also the owner) on a whim to give myself weekly structure again. A few months later, Im getting over a decade-long plateau in one part of my knowledge base. Something my previous and more expensive teachers were unable to do. (I took a week at Berklee and it did more for my creativity than my actual mechanics). Matt is a FANTASTIC teacher. Honestly stop reading my review and go ask him for a lesson. Not only has he rejuvenated my playing but I feel Ive made a lifelong friend. If I moved out of BL, I would still come here to see Matt, have a lesson, and pick up the things I need. Matt is also a fantastic luthier and does all the setups on my guitars with a fast turnaround time if you ask for it. If there is something Matt can order that you cant get in another store as well, Matt generally beats the free shipping times from GC and Sweetwater so unless youre millennial-level-impatient (Im born in 91, Im allowed to say that) hes a one-stop shop. He even referred me to someone who winds custom pickups!Needless to say, dont let the lack of 9 million poorly made Gibson Les Pauls on the wall distract you from the fact this is the best music store in Pierce County.P.S. Check out the Tetons that he carries. Theyre made in Idaho and sound awesome!
