The salted caramel cheesecake was the best damn thing I have ever eaten. It was heavenly.I also got the carrot cake as my birthday cake, salad mix, pretzels, molasses cookies and oatmeal cookies. I was expecting the molasses cookie to be amazing but it fell a little flat for me. I think it needed a bit more spices in it.I would drive the 3 hours there from my house just for the salted caramel cheesecake… too bad it was only available in August.Edit: just found out the cheesecake is staying for September. I drove 3 hours out of my way to get a slice… 100% worth it.

We used stick boy catering for a small (24 people) wedding. Everything was correct with our order, it was all delicious and we highly recommend them! We had sandwiches, quiche, fabulous salads, sticky buns ( or course) bagels, marinated veggies, and drinks. You can’t go wrong with stick boy!

We purchased our wedding cake from Stick Boy Bread and it was delicious! We went with the classic naked option and added some flowers and a topper ourselves. Everyone raved about the raspberry filling. It was perfect for a summer wedding.

Exceptional food, especially considering the price. My husband had the chicken sandwich and he said that was the most incredible one he’s ever had. The bacon they serve is glorious thick cut yummy bacon! Smoothies are super good too. Yoghurt based ones taste like fresh kefir. Morning service when owner is there is incredible. Little slower/confused in the afternoon.

Such a quaint bakery. Definitely a spot where you can get in trouble with your waistline but oh so worth it. Life is about indulging and we sure did. We ordered their cream cheese cinnamon roll and the everything cookie. Ordered a molasses cookie too but I think there was a mix up and we got a different cookie instead but still all delicious. Had a simple drip coffee to wake me up and my friend had a smoothie which was a little too tart for her liking. Other than that, it is worth a stop if in the area. It is right across the street from the Appalachian University. The cashier/workers were beyond sweet to us out of towners.

The company is very community oriented, is local, and supportive of the environment so be sure to patronize them. Staff is great and helpful for whatever your needs are. A definite recommend.

I have never been a customer of this place yet still a recipient of its lovely items. Today my sister brought home a lavender lemon cake. This cake was perfectly moist and elegantly stacked and then layers and I was told it was vegan after I ate it . I have also had a lovely blueberry bread which is not sweet at all just tasty and Al dente she brought home today also along with that elegant cake a loaf of whole wheat bread which was completely dense and felt like a brick I cant wait to sample it tomorrow morning for toast

Stopped by for some coffee and pastries to start our mountain trip.The service was fast and friendly. We split the mushroom and cheese flat bread and a cream cheese cinnamon roll 🤠When we finished I had to go back in to grab a bag of coffee beans and a loaf of bread. The bread made for some delicious sandwiches and Im still enjoying the coffee.I would definitely go back next time Im in town.

Wish you still had the salted caramel cheesecake with the Carmel on top. Not Im pressed with the cheesecakes u carry now or how u mix the caramel in the cheesecake instead of pitting it on top.

Amazing Boone staple. This bakery/coffee shop has the best ingredients and people to help you pick the best things possible. I recommend the magic 🍪 cookies, molasses cookies, chocolate nut smoothie, any of their 🥖🍞 breads, ☕ coffee is great and the specialty 🍰 cakes are delightful. If bread is what you are into, try the cranberry pecan french or pumpkin bread for a slice of heaven in your grill. Seasonal products all year. They also do amazing wedding cakes that are sure to impress. They also have a new take and bake section for their cookies and scones. They also have ♿ handicap accessible parking and restrooms.

We have loved this place since it was a tiny bakery. The cheddar spinach scones and the cream cheese cinnamon rolls are our favorites.

All pies and breads we tried were so fresh and delicious! The service was exceptional and along with the establishment which is very cozy and pretty. Very friendly service received although I didn’t catch her name- but, amazing job!We tried: Cherry pie, pecan pie, carrot cake, chocolate cake, and apple cheese cake. The apple cheese cake 🍰 was beyond my expectations making it my favorite one of them all. Seriously go try that and thank me later. 🤯🤤🤩From the breads we tried (ALL FRESHLY MADE) baguette, sourdough, and pumpkin bread, the sourdough bread and pumpkin spice bread are our two favorites!And so... went back for a second time to buy more pie 🥧 and bread 🍞 to bring back home! Oh, and the house coffee ☕️ was also great!

I love Stick Boy with all my heart! They always have a great selection of dairy-free bread. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that they don’t offer any vegan desserts or gluten-free offerings of any sort. Awesome, friendly staff, and implementing great COVID protocols. I love the shaker squash, true grit and sour dough loaves the most!

One of my favorite parts of coming to Boone is stopping here for a pastry or treat! The staff are always kind and helpful; even with lines out the door, its never a chore to wait and the staff works hard to keep everyone moving. Besides the amazing bread and sweets (I’m partial to the almond croissants), they also stock coffee, veggies, cheese, and many other local offerings. Def recommend coming here!

Usually the coffee is really good here, but I ordered an iced stickboy latte & watched the barista pour a steaming, regular latte over a cup of ice. My coffee was lukewarm and watered down. The food is great, I just wouldn’t get coffee unless you know the barista!

Stick Boy is definitely somewhere I would come back to again and again if I lived locally. All the employees were very friendly and made great suggestions, the pastries we tried were fresh and delicious, and the breads looked yummy! When I’m in the area next, I’ll definitely be stopping by to try something new.

I know they are a Boone staple and have a lot of character and good menu items. I liked them until once, a little while ago, I got a tea at an event catered by them (yes, the tea was theirs). There was a bug in the tea.Just hoping they clean the kitchens up. I get that these things happen and where there is food pests will find a way, but it was a real turn off to eating.Best of luck to them.

Staff are always AMAZING and super kind, the food is so good and the coffee is always perfect, at the end of the day the pastrys are little hard but so i reccomend going in the morning, but love it!

I was visiting Boone for a week and stopped here on a whim. I was so pleased with the experience that I went back four more times during my vacation, including a stop on my way out of town that added 30mins to my drive home! Needless to say, Im a big fan.I got their seasonal gingerbread drink and an assortment of pastries each time. The chocolate hazelnut galette is so rich and satisfying (and huge! definitely shareable or a eat over 2 days endeavor).The scones were a less sweet, but just as delicious option. And the almond croissant was sold out on two of my visits, but I was lucky enough to snag it on my other two visits. The pastries were all fresh and clearly made with love.The staff was friendly and helpful, and the store seemed to be covid compliant, only allowing 5 customers in at a time. They asked me to wait outside a couple times so they could keep things moving.I will visit here every time I come to Boone and I recommend you do the same!

Stick Boy Bread Company is a great bakery. They split their establishment in two, selling coffee on one side and pastries/bread on the other. I have been several times, and they always have different options for their pastries. I have never had one that I thought was bad. The staff here are very knowledgeable and always nice. They always seem to give consistently good service, no matter how hard they are working or how busy they are. It is also in such convenient spot for people living on campus or near east side of campus.

Good. I like scones a little moister and sweeter. The focaccia was really good. Prices are good.

Delicious breads, pastries, coffee and fruit beverages. All fresh, made “at home”. Their scones are out of this world. Although not inexpensive, it is probably the best place in town for fresh bread and pastries.

This establishment deserves 5 stars however its success is its own undoing. This place gets slammed with customers for breakfast and lunch resulting in very long single service line, excessive wait times and a lack of seating exacerbated by customers who wish to linger. The food, coffee, baked goods, etc. are all 5 stars. All the staff is very polite and beyond competent. I just wish they would move to a larger place and redesign the workflow. Dont get me wrong, its a great place with wonderful food and beverage. Just be prepared to wait and possibly get your order to go.

Disappointing. Used to love this place. Checked the menu on Wednesday to see what breads they would have. Drove up from Johnson City to get aCRANBERRY PECAN FRENCH. They didnt have it. Had a sample of a wonderful Winter Stollen. Took one home for $17+. Opened it and it was stale.

Went to Stick Boy Bread Company today for the first time. It was awesome, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The selection was great and we got there at 4:30 pm. How many places have that great a selection so late. This may have been my first time, but not my last. Go and taste for yourself. Did I mention they have a coffee bar also!

This is hands down the best bakery and coffee in Boone. Unfortunately no real seating, but their coffee is the BEST. Breads and pastries are also delicious and always fresh. You can’t go wrong with Stick Boy Bread.

Ive been to Stick Boy on two occasions. Coming from a large city with lots of bakeries, I was pleased to discover one here in Boone. The service is impeccable. The young people who serve as counter help are all really informative and helpful. The pasty is good. Not fabulous. But perfectly fine. The bread is a disaster. The sourdough is perhaps not proofed correctly, as the holes in the bread are so large that the pieces will barely hold together when sliced. Each loaf has also been scorched on the bottom. I cant help but wonder if the baker thinks this is some signature element? Even if the rest of the bread tastes delicious (it doesnt...it tastes like any bread you might buy in an upscale grocer: better than Wonder Bread, but not incredible), it is ruined by the blackened bottom. I would steer clear of this place...Panera has perfectly acceptable bread.

Made the wedding cake of our dreams for very reasonable price and when we returned a year later for an anniversary cake (the original didnt make the trip home) they surprised us by detonating it to match the original perfectly!Delicious, affordable, and top notch staff! An extra thanks goes out to Brandon for giving us these cherished memories!

Stick Boys Bread, etc is delicious, but the service is what inspired me to take the time to write a review. It is HARD to find a restaurant in Boone with consistently good service. Stick Boys employees and the service they provide is superior!

Brandon made our wedding cake and it was perfection!! He made it exactly to our specifications and it was more than delicious!! The Italian buttercream was divine and perfect. Our guests didnt think the cake was real. So much so that someone poked it with her finger to see. :) the cake was so moist and had a delicious chocolate flavor with just the right amount of apricot preserves and vanilla pastry cream. I couldnt have asked for a better cake. My husband and I plan on getting the same cake every year for our anniversary from Brandon. Oh and he squeezed me in at the last minute one week before the wedding. So accommodating and the best cake EVER!!! Thank you!!

A good place.Having enjoyed the other Stickboy location in Boone, I visited this one on a whim, and my experience was positive. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and my order came out quickly and correctly. There were some tables on the patio, and so I sat out and relaxed for a while with my purchase, basking in the lovely mountain autumn. In a nut, I was pleased, and I think I might drop in another time.My only complaint: no bathroom (or, at least, the only one I saw was labeled employees only). I love Stick Boy so much. Their focaccia bread is always outstanding and makes a great lunch. Their sticky buns and cinnamon rolls are the best Ive ever had, and their coffee is consistently great. Its always a treat to go to Stick Boy.

Brandon worked with us to create our wedding cake. He met with us in advanced for a tasting and provided us with many cake options but was still willing to create flavors based on our fall themed wedding. He made a naked cake look gorgeous and was even willing to decorate the cake last minute with the flowers when he brought it to the venue. I was really worried about the transport of the cake to our remote location but it got there with no probably and our guests loved it. We had originally predicted 70 guests and Brandon assured us his cakes accommodated large serving sizes and so we ordered a 65 serving cake. 64 people were in attendance and we had PLENTY of cake leftover even though we didnt plan to save any for our one year anniversary. CHEERS!

I got some french bread in here. $2.87 for the loaf and it is HUGE. Not to mention absolutely delicious. I will be coming back every week for fresh baked bread in the fall.

Brandon created an amazing rehearsal dinner cake and wedding cake for my clients this past weekend. I am a wedding planner based in Charlotte, NC, and he came highly recommended from the Eseeola Lodge. Definitely did not disappoint! The rehearsal dinner cake was a permit fish next to a yeti cooler and guests marveled at how uncake-like they looked while still tasting delicious. The wedding cake was a beautiful square cake with gold dusting and was delicious as well. I hope we have the chance to work together again soon!

Love this place. We are so fortunate to have an excellent local bakery. We stop in regularly, keeping their multigrain bread at home for breakfast toast. Other family favorites are their sour dough breads and winter AND summer stollen!
