Very helpful, even after they were officially closed. Other stores would have been telling us every 5 minutes at the hour prior mark that they will be closing soon. But they were so gracious and helped us out without making us feel like a bother. Thank you!

I am fairly sure this store has a great inventory of useful stuff, but its hard to tell in the over-crowded store.

This is a great small town farm and ranch supply store. The staff are very knowledgeable. I have never walked in without a personal greeting from the desk staff. If they dont have it they will find it for you. Store can easily feel a little crowded since they got so much in there.

The stars are for over all retail establishment rating. Generally prices are reasonable, staff are courteous to customers, even though there are quite a few customers who come in on the daily and treat the employees poorly in one way or another. I know thats how retail goes, but theres lines in the sand to be drawn as far as checking attitudes at the door and such IMO. Common sense. On the other side, Ive worked for this company and so you can make an informed decision if anyone is considering working at the Boone, IA store, I urge you to think carefully. Im a very blunt honest person and I dont sugar coat. I fully get it that in retail, staffing needs are important, but when my significant other was recently admitted for surgery on an urgent basis, upon call-in absent that day, I was met with the most uncaring and uncompassionate response to such a situation and employee need by one of the managers. This is the reason I resigned. When I went in to do so, upon explanation of my decision and why, management had the gall to try to turn it back around on me. No acknowledgement of their actions being inappropriate or so much as a fake apology. Makes me wonder how an employee of the store would be treated if their loved one was facing a terminal health crisis or acute event like stroke or heart attack. Now I didnt have spotless attendance but the couple times I did have to call in, I did so regrettably and with as much possible notice given the circumstances of each time. Its very sad it took my quitting because of how I was treated for it to be expressed the store level managers hope my significant other is doing OK. Would have been nice to hear that over the phone when everything was actually transpiring, rather than the response that I DID get. Oh well I dont have to live with it on my conscience. As the saying goes, you never quit a company, you quit the management.

Quaint little farm store. Aisles were a little crowded and the staff wasnt overly concerned with helping me with my questions. Not a bad place mind you but I expected more.

I bought the product I needed but the staff at the Boone location is less than desirable. Lazy and stupid for a lack of a better term. My experience today makes me never want to go there ever again.

If youre in a pinch and you need something quick that will do until you can get to Des Moines not a bad place
