Nice place, super friendly folks here. Range prices were reasonable and included a free target and use of hearing and eye protection if you didnt bring your own. Range ammo was reasonable as well for these days. Will definitely come back again when in town.

Been in DavTac numerous times. Always a pleasant experience. Great staff, great ownership, very knowledgeable and helpful. It’s a one of a kind type of place here in the Shreveport-Bossier area.

Had several guns worked on and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Prices are reasonable (especially for exceptional work) and the guys are super friendly. Not sure why everyone says diff. I was greeted immediately and asked if I needed help - as were all the other customers who walked in while I was there.

A Marine walked in knowing what he wanted: a Springfield Hellcat.The specialist directed me over and presented me with one. We spoke about; its advantages, comparison with the Sig 365, the Optics Ready version vs. the Holographic Equipped version, and improvements over its predecessors, while he advised the holo-sight provided was second-rate compared to one higher end.When it comes to protection, regarding myself & my family, second-rate equipment is something I do not compromise on. I opted for the recommended Holosun holographic sight and their gunsmith installed it while I awaited background check.When shopping local, dont listen to nay-sayers, go see the professionals at DavTac.

I took the CCW class here. Joey is very good and informative. It is an interesting class, and very well done. Mickey is great too. They tell you everything you need to do, provide everything you need to send to the state and explain the entire process with honesty and clarity. The range is really nice and I look forward to being back for more practice.

Nope.... nope.... nope! My safe was sent to Dav Tac to then be delivered and installed. Ok so turns out Dav Tac doesnt deliver or install safes no problem. Well sadly they dont deliver or install customer service or return phone calls either. 2 weeks trying to contact them, finally had to get manufacturer involved who had to cancel and send a save to another dealer.

The conceal carry class with Mr. Joey was AWESOME! So informative and interesting. If I could take the course again without paying, I would! I highly recommend. You will have a great experience and will not regret.

I took the women’s intro to gun training course on 04/06/2021. I can only say great things about the trainers and the class. Joey and James did a phenomenal job in teaching and showing the proper use of a handgun. I was so excited to come home and tell my husband all about it, he was very much impressed when I showed him what I learned. When this place first opened I really liked it. I dont like it anymore. It doesnt seem like they could care about the business anymore to me. I dont get customer service or timely care. It is a big shame that they hire who they have hired and charge what they charge. Totally unhappy with their business as it is. Sorry I will not call on yall again.

Called around to find a specific type off ammo and when they answered the phone I was told they had two boxes. He could t hold it for me but said they could only sell me one box. After driving an hour to get there after we walked in we had to ask for help and the guy behind the counter said they didn’t have what we were looking for and point led to an empty shelf. After I saw the two boxes I was told about on the phone the guy said you don’t want that they don’t work. They won’t even shoot 5 feet. After a little back and forth it was obvious that he just didn’t want to sell to me. Apparently I didn’t look like someone he wanted to sell to and would rather keep those on the shelf for a better customer. Well, hope one of your regulars enjoy them. I won’t be back. Clarks is way better service!

Very clean and professional. I took their Womens Firearms class. Joey is very informative and patient with what we wanted to learn. My goal was to feel comfortable with a firearm and that course did just that. Im very excited to be comfortable enough to go shooting on my own. Highly recommend.

Very sad, I always want to support local businesses, however this has been one of the worst experiences ever. I saw the reviews and thought maybe they were wrong. Buyers beware, they are not, customer service is horrible. But make your own mind up. Pending further actions will update once situation is resolved.

This is the only place you need to go, for anything Gun related. These guys can set you up with anything you need, theyre nice & friendly, & know their stuff. Weather its basic gun safety, every day carry, custom gunsmith work. Save yourself some time & money, and see these folks first...

They do good work if you want a gun worked on and have a decent range. However, their customer services is poor. Everytime I visit them they look at me (and others that Ive talk to) like outsiders not worthy to use their facility. Its a very bizarre environment, the one who perpetuates this the most is one of their gun smiths who is a larger, bearded fellow who looks at everyone like he smells something bad. Even the owner and other employees give off a very unwelcoming vibe. They even charger too much for their range, theyre multiple other facilities in town with a range as good if not better for free or cheaper. Save your money.

Not very much for personality thats for sure, very hard to actually hold a conversation when the people there wont even look you in the eye. They may know what they are doing, and that is great, but some personality goes a long way when dealing with customers. I get it that its not everyones Forte, and that is fine, but atleast make an attempt to do so and you may not see so many reviews for the same exact issue thats been going on since the business started.

I just took their Concealed Carry class Saturday. I highly recommend it. They were thorough and kept our attention the entire day. Joey is an excellent instructor. It wasnt just a day of someone reading slides to us. They had real experience and are devoted to making sure we understand the seriousness of what were in class for. I left there thinking anyone who even owns a gun would benefit from that class. Great job, DavTac! Thank you.

Very knowledgeable staff. I love the selection that is always on hand. If there is anything you need to know, just ask. I also saw the staff race great care of someone that was not knowledgeable about the products. Unlike most places, these guys took the time and explained everything in a judgment free way. I have to say, one of the best shops I have ever been in.

Walked in and had a few questions about some guns I’ve done a little research on. Was immediately greeted and helped by a man, as he was running a background check on another customer. Ended up getting a glock 43x and signed up for the conceal carry class.

A nice standard range they proveds PPE wich is nice but I sighed up for a concealed carry class but they never followed up after I sighed up

My biggest complaint is the service. I have yet to go into there and receive any friendly service, and it appears to me that unless you are a MEMBER or FRIEND your presence is allowed/acknowledged. This place has a lot of potential and it’s sad to see it ruined with a bunch of uncharitable workers.

Just finished a Concealed Carry Class at DAVTAC. Excellent course! The instructor (Joey Miguez) was outstanding. His in-depth experience in the Military (SWAT Team) and Sheriffs Department was very impressive. He was able to clearly explain the laws and at the same time provide real life examples that really put a lot of situations into perspective. Additionally his teaching style keeps you attentive and involved. The facility is very well designed and no doubt a professional organization. The Range is in very good condition. The staff was very friendly and willing to help  with anything you might need. I highly recommend going to DAVTAC for training, to purchase a gun, ammo or accessories.  I was extremely satisfied with everything. Im really happy I chose them for training.

I went for a concealed gun carry class and it was a very good instructive class the instructors were professional and the place is neat and clean. Ill definitely come back to buy a gun and to become a member so I can shoot some rounds in the range.

Wouldnt even acknowledge me when i was trying to make a purchase. after 5 minutes of waiting by the register, they would look at me but would not help. finally had to give up. not sure what i did wrong but couldnt get them to give me the time of day. I support local business and have spent thousands at Rons Guns. Guess they didnt need my money or support.

Unknowledgeable staff, particularly “Joey”. Called to ask about FFL firearm transfer. Joey INSISTED that it is illegal for an individual out of state to directly ship a firearm to an FFL. That is completely inaccurate! The ATF’s website clearly states “Any person may ship firearms directly to a licensee in any State, with no requirement for another licensee to ship the firearm.” If it’s store policy, fine, but don’t misrepresent it as “law” and “common sense” when it isn’t! I have gone through this process many times, many different places without issue. Also, their fees for transfer are drastically higher than any other FFL in the area. I wanted to use DavTac for location convenience and to support a local shop. But I do not recommend using DavTac for anything other than their indoor range.

Was OK- I have been to Many States and rating this on my own personal experiences.(Pros)- Nice people,Free 1st Target,No lines fast intro,Professional Style Range,Staff Not on you while shooting,Great for a rainy Windy day (Indoor),Full Well Stocked Pro Shop.(Cons)-A little pricey,25 yards Max Distance,Low Stall lighting,I Was a little Smoked out from my own fac.9mm ammo first 15min.then seemed to get better,Had to tweek the Target Hanger & Clip a bit tore up from bieng shot up needed some maintinance and a (Beefier)Clip?Target send and retrieve toggle switch Very fast doesnt stop on auto intervals so need to work the switch Weak Clip wanting to keep dropping the Target.from strong retrieval system.Would have been great if they made a smaller Pro shop and a 50 yard shooting area as well almost seems like some wasted space in the pro shop? JMO.Overall good experiance Will I go back Possibly 1 hour 15mn. from my home.

Purchased a Barrett M98B with BORS as well as had about 2000 dollars worth of custom work done to my remington .308. Brett as well as everyone else there are extremely welcoming and didnt even flinch at my barrage of questions. (And I was nearly annoying myself with how many questions I had)They have a life long customer with me now.Thank you guys again

Went there and they were not willing to be helpful and were not open to answering questions. The guy (short, white, bearded) dissesembled my rifle infront of me..was going to put a part on that I didnt give consent to, he then walked off and left my rifle in pieces when he realized I wasnt going to pay for a quad rail $40 higher than the cost of it. Ive compared the prices there and they are inflated by 30%. I had to ask for a quad wrench 3 times just so I didnt have to walk out with my rifle in 3 pieces. Rude, inflated pricing and poor selection.DO NOT buy from there. You can find better selections and better pricing anywhere. Dav Tac will not received my business.

Sitting on a broken charging handle and $40 of not so great ammo.Bought a Palmetto AR15 and 4 boxes of DavTac Reloaded ammo from here. Experienced nothing but problems every 9th-10th round from the reloads. No issues with new brass. On about the 60th DavTac 5.56 round was stuck in battery so hard the bolt carrier would not seat fully and the charging handle was fully locked up too. After beating on the charging handle attempting to extract the round the handle broke. Round was still not extracted and bolt carrier was still not fully seating. Had to tap hard on forward assist with no charging handle to force round into battery and cautiously fire said round out of rifle. Went to Davtac that following monday in which Jared attempted to solve the problem by polishing the chamber. Issue still persists after I loaded a full mag and attempted to cycle the action 30 times, roughly half the rounds put up a fight trying to extract from the chamber. Brought rifle back with said rounds, an older male replicated the issues and at the end of it all pretty much had nothing to tell me but his apologies, wouldnt comp me for the two leftover boxes I had either. So now Im sitting on a broken charging handle, 40$ of reloads ill probably end up throwing away and a less than impressed outlook and DavTacs customer service. Its a shame after spending over $1000 at this place that is how they treat their military stationed here at Barksdale.
