There are many wine options from all over the world. My all-time favorite wine was still available. It was difficult to locate a wine like this because it is delicious. Their wines completeness and goodness have impressed me. I couldnt have asked for anything more. Their workers work hard to provide us with service that exceeds our standards. Fantastic!

Randomly walked into this wine store and OMG. No regrets. We were greeted with welcoming smiles. The person helping us was extremely knowledgeable as he explained a few wines.My favorite part was the layout of the store. The wines were organized by how heavy they are and by price as well. The ocd in me was impressed. Our cashier guy gave us recommendations for a restaurant as well.Highly recommend, please visit!

This is a pretty special place. Wine can be scary for people and UG’s system really helps people wade into the shallow end. That being said, if you want to talk about sur lie, malolactic fermentation, and all that other jazz; their staff will be able to keep up.There is an emphasis on boutique producers. Prices and wine tiers vary widely. Plenty of great RM champagne, boutique producers, and minimal intervention wines.Worth turning this into your neighborhood wine shop.

I had been scouring the internet for a case of 2012 Chateau Cab de Mourlin Saint Emilion and had been completely unable to locate it in the entire United States. A friend recommended contacting a local high-end wine shop to see if they could track it down on my behalf. I contacted the top 3 wine shops in Boston and Urban Grape was the only one that came through! The bottles are going to make an excellent wedding present for my fiancé and I couldnt have had a more pleasant experience communicating with the store manager Meg.I highly recommend this shop!

Truly the most wonderful place and people. I officially switched from the box store because I wanted to support a local business and it’s been so worth it. This week I asked if they would be getting in a bottle of a liquor I was interested in and by the end of the day, they had sourced a bottle for me. I just don’t know anywhere else that you get that kind of service: and all over text! Have ordered several times from urban grape during quarantine. The have a great curbside pickup process! It’s so easy to order online through their site and get recommendations via text. I also love that their site sorts wine based on level of body for white and red. Highly recommend for high quality and affordable wine and liquor options.

So proud of and excited about this black-owned wine store. We miss it in Chestnut Hill, but the South End location is worth traveling for even when, because of COVID-19, we have to visit the wine counter instead of perusing the shelves. And they deliver! We have also enjoyed building our knowledge of regions and producers through their zoom tastings.

Very helpful staff! Unfortunately due to covid, you were not allowed inside the beautiful shop (as of feb 2021). However, the staff went above and beyond to help find an amazing wine for a very special occasion. Their Faiveley red burgundy suggestion was 10/10!!

Urban Grape has tastings every Thursday from 5 - 8pm! I happened upon the rose tasting and it did not disappoint. Theres an amazubf selection of all kinds of grapes bottled up from dark red to crisp whites and everything in between. The staff is super knowledgeable and can help you find the perfect pair for your dinner party or welcome gift! Highly recommend.

Covid insensitivity and rudeness!Whoever runs The Urban Grapes social media is wayyy out of wack. They posted this story saying that other stores are jealous of them for staying open during the holidays. This is SO insensitive to all of the businesses who are being forced to close because of covid, who are closing their store during the holidays for mental health, or physical health in this pandemic.Everyone has been hit hardly by covid, but why on earth would you taunt other businesses who are forced to close for the holidays?Ill be spreading the word for people to stay away from this pompous, boastful, and incredibly insensitive company.

Urban Grape is a wonderful specialty liquor store. Though they are a bit pricey they make up for it in their selection of hard to find items. Personally I go here for their beer selection, they carry many hard to find beers that are difficult to get in other stores. In addition their staff is typically very helpful and are able to suggest items based on your taste. I recommend Urban Grape if you are looking for a special hard to find beer, wine, or liquor.

Urban Grape is a great wine store in the South End. The owners opened this store after they had great success with the Chestnut Hill store. The store has a great selection of wines, beer, and other specialty liquors. The best thing about the store is that they offer Geek Outs and specialty tastings. They frequently bring in vendors to sample their products, which is a great way to try new wines. The Geek Outs are 1-2 hour free classes where they have an expert talk about a specific alcohol. Sometimes they also do food pairings in the class as well. Sign up for the newsletter so you can see when all of the e vents are.

Best place to buy wine in Boston. I never leave one of their free tastings without a bottle. To top it off, I have even been able to get a taste of a few Scotchs while trying to decide which one to get!

Truly unique wine shop. The wine tasting experience is closer to participating in a book club at a friendly neighborhood bookstore. We have met multiple folk who have become friends we see outside of the Urban Grape. Oh, and great friendly staff.

Hadley and TJ (the owners) are so friendly and give this liquor store a great neighborhood feel. They make wine very understandable and accessible through their number system to figure out what type of wine you truly like. The beer selection is great, and the monthly events that they have are super fun. I went to the Holiday Hosannah event on a Sunday night for some holiday cocktails paired with yummy apps, and the week before some beer with delicious Chinese food catered by the Mei Mei food truck.
