Currently on hold for the second time today with broken alarm system that is going off at random times. Company refuses to fix it today and cant seem to turn it off. Do not use this company if you value your time or your sleep.

We had a wonderful experience with Alarm New England, particularly with technician Brian R. He was on site early, resolved our problem within 10 minutes, and then took it upon himself to repair an intercom/door unlocking box that had been out of service for 6 months. He could have easily fixed the assigned issue and left. I am absolutely thrilled with the level of care we received. His extra effort saves me from having to get up and open the door 20x/day!

I deal with a lot of different residential Alarm Companies in my line of work. They all have their +/-. Alarm New England always has more pluses than negatives when it comes to dealing with our high end clients. Service department has been willing to help via phone on numerous occasions and are always very well informed on the equipment installed.

Do it yourself; do it for less! Residential buyers be ware... when I signed the 3 year deal, I was assured it was all standard language and they had zero flexibility. Service was mediocre (except Connie!) and expensive any time you need any actual onsite help. They techs would come and not be able to solve the issue, usually blaming it on bad RF in the house. As if that wasnt enough, when I moved they had me pay liquidated damages for the remainder of the contract. enough though I had supplied most of the hardware on install. If you do choose to hire this mediocre pros I would strongly suggest ensure you have a move out clause or you will be paying the remainder of you contract out of pocket!

Customer service was excellent, transparent, very helpful, and took the extra time to make sure that they got it all right. Working with them was a very positive experience.

The BEST alarm company you will find!! They are so personable and reasonably priced! Ive used many alarm companies in my life and theyre BY FAR the best around. I got some outrageous quotes from other companies but Alarm New England was so fairly priced (both monthly &installation). Also, the alarm comes with an iPhone app, which I use more than the panel itself.

I have had a very bad experience with Alarm New England. Less than a year ago, they installed their fire alarm monitoring equipment in my 2-family duplex. It does not work! I am now stuck in a 3-year contract.Prior to the installation of their system, we had hard-wired smoke detectors installed, which were inspected and tested by our local fire dept. I wanted the peace of mind knowing that if there was a fire in my home or in my tenants unit - and I was not home - that our fire dept and I would be notified by their monitoring center.This year alone, I have had *3* instances (due to tenants careless cooking) in which my hard-wired detectors were activated, but neither my local fire dept, nor I were notified by their central monitoring center!!!!After the first time, Alarm New England sent out a technician. They found no problems, and then they *billed me* for this service call because as they said, there was no problem with their equipment. And they advertise a 1-year warranty.After the second time their monitoring system failed, I told them I wanted to cancel the contract. They said it couldnt be cancelled unless I paid a huge cancellation fee.

Kenny the installer was very professional and punctual. Answer all our questions.Connie the IT person is top notch! Always there when you need her and took the time to answer questions and walk you through any difficulties. Simply the best!!

We just switched to ALARM New England. Although it is the beginning of their service to us, I am very much satisfied with the response to requests. After extensive research, I had an alarm system installed by Alarm New England yesterday. If I could give them 10 stars I would. The employees I came in contact with were each terrific. The first person was Liam in sales. He spent so much time going over everything with me without any pressure but making me feel like he truly cared about having a happy customer not just a sale. Next was Bob, a senior technician, with the company who has been doing installations for over 20 years. He was punctual and went over where each piece of equipment was going to be placed. He was as fussy as I was to locate things so they were not as noticeable. I really appreciate that Bob is their own employee not a subcontractor. Today, Connie called me to go over the alarm app, the cameras and full instructions on the system. She spent so much time with me practicing and assuring me to contact her with any future questions. Alarm New England is unlike most companies today. I feel like they actually care about their customers. I want to also mention that Alexandra, the Vice President of the company, took the time out of her busy day to answer any questions I had. Its a total team effort. What drew me to Alarm New England in the first place was their excellent reviews and that it is a family owned company. I had a good experience dealing with Alarm New England. Both the sales team and field techs were prompt and courteous, and actually followed up to make sure all was well. And they went out of there way to accommodate my rather inflexible schedule and twice met me at a specified time, once being early Saturday morning per my request.

I just spoke with Alexandra Curtiss at Alarm New England asking for an alarm monitoring rate reduction and she told me ...absolutely not since you are on a 3 year contract. I sensed from our telephone conversation that she was not happy with my request due to her tone and she to interrupted me when I was speaking with her. After I advised her that we were not in a contract, she reviewed our agreement and confirmed that we were not in a contract and paid month to month.My husband and I were adamant to purchase our equipment and not have a contract so that we had the flexibility to change alarm monitoring companies. I am so happy we did based on my conversation with Alexandra. Anyone considering Alarm New England as their alarm monitoring company should consider purchasing their equipment outright and have a month-to-month contract. Their monthly monitoring rates are high and I dont feel it is unreasonable to request a rate review/reduction. Based on my conversation with Alexandra, her tone used when advising me falsely that I absolutely could not have a rate reduction was very different from when my husband and I were interviewing alarm monitoring companies, and when I called to add additional equipment. Alexandra was as nice as can be before we decided to use Alarm New England. I ask for a rate reduction and the conversation was not pleasant. Just be careful when signing a multi year agreement.

Alarm New England, you guys have rocked my world! We started working with your company roughly 15 years ago if I remember correctly since then you have been nothing but rock stars. When an emergency happens you call instantly to make sure we are OK. But that is not where most companies screw up what other companies seem to have issues with is when it’s not an emergency, but rather trying to find out something other related to the system the amount of time it takes for you guys to pick up the phone is usually next to nothing maybe 30 seconds my family owns a commercial management company with all of the different companies I have to call on a normal basis you guys win it’s always A pleasure speaking with any of your staff I have never had an issue not once! That’s a lot coming from me :-)We have a full alarm system and smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors, up until about two years ago we were happy at that point but then the unthinkable happened and our house was broken into. But thankfully you guys Alarm New England was right on top of it and making sure we were aware of what was going on. More recently One of my family members allow their kid access to the house without any supervision and the house got destroyed. We then started looking into security systems with everything that is out there all the different systems it was very difficult to choose what to go with. so than we thought why not try alarm New England. I spoke to Dorothy Davis our account manager FYI she is amazing. She got together all of the pricing even informed me of the service of installation which was included in the price and in the grand scheme of things the whole system being less than $1500 for everything I don’t think I could ask for more. Now for the fun part when it came to the installation of the cameras that was a breeze Thanks to the two excellent service technicians Jonathan and Kenny. Who then told us we should upgrade our Internet. So then we decided to upgrade our Internet which meant of course dealing with the cameras I was dreading having to deal with them but Connie from their technical services walked me through the process and even called me on her day off to make sure everything went smoothly “ I had already finished it up. Dorothy in sales was patient and flexible and Connie was a real help getting the system configured and set. The whole process felt more personal and less corporate.

I am a current client of Alarm New Englands monthly alarm monitoring service and was looking to expand into having a video surveillance piece attached to my set up. Well a few months ago I finally ordered the cameras but because I started my own business I found myself with no time to get them installed. I held onto these cameras for months and only recently asked Connie if I could return them. Without hesitation she took the cameras back. While I still plan to install video surveillance at some point right now wasnt the time. I recently moved to the suburbs from Boston and had an Alarm System with American Alarm for over ten years. The alarm system was hard wired and had been installed by previous owners of my condo, so we resumed the contract. We moved to a much bigger home and asked American Alarm for a quote for installation and figured we would go with them. Much to my surprise ans dismay, the first quote that they gave to install a hard wired system was $3,700!!! After much negotiation, they went down to $1,700 to install a wireless system and the sales guy stopped calling us back or emailing us back. Ridiculous! Obviously they didnt want my business and it was time to say goodbye to American Alarm. We looked online and on Angies List. Everyone has mixed reviews of alarm companies and many of them are very expensive for installation and monitoring service. The new install yourself alarms seemed to be popular but come with their own set of problems, mostly with the senors falling off the wall. We contacted numerous alarm companies and did a lot of online research. I stumbled upon Alarm New England through a Google search. We spoke to Alexandra who explained that this was a family owned business and she went over the various options for installation. As many reviews have stated, the owner is very nice and personable on the phone and you feel like you are in good hands with someone who stands by their company. We wanted the alarm service monitored and were willing to pay the monthly service. It makes me feel safer that the police will be automatically called if someone breaks in. After speaking with Alexandra, we decided to go with them and bought three system control panels and had ALL of the doors and windows on the first floor, garage and basement alarmed. The Honeywell control panels are relatively small and easy to use. With the three panels and the professional install, the total cost was $800.00 to install. Once we agreed to go with them, they set up installation the following week and the guy who came was super friendly and nice. We couldnt be happier with this alarm system. We set it off accidentally within days of it being installed and they contacted us immediately. I liked that their pricing was upfront. We have the smart secure plan for 35.00 a month.

Sales person was very pleasant and explained the changes and cost for the upgrade we were making to our existing system. Technicians who installed were very knowledgeable and addressed all my questions. Overall, very pleased with service and system.

Service is something lacking in our world today. The Team at Alarm New England, whether it be tech support, installation technicians, sales, or at the monitoring station, are top notch. This is a REAL alarm company, rather than a cable company that bolts on alarm service as an after thought. These guys are the real deal!

Beware of Alarm New England and their deceptive marketing and sales practices. They will tell you almost anything to lock you into a long-term contract then have you pay an exorbitant amount to terminate services. The customer service is subpar. You’ll get an automated message when calling in, then after holding for several minutes you can expect to be transferred from one department to the next because no one has answers for anything. I had an overpriced system that often had false alarms and their so-called fully-trained and fully-licensed technicians could not resolve the issue. To make matters worse, they stuck me with a service fee of hundreds of dollars for having faulty equipment that they sold to me then tried to sale me on a maintenance plan AFTER which was tied to a three-year contract. This company does not value their customers as much as they will have you believe in the beginning. It’s all about how much money they can get from you. I would expect this from a larger, national company like ADT but being local and family-owned is what’s supposed to set these guys apart. I would not recommend Alarm New England.

I researched home alarm systems and companies off and on for over three years, and none of the options seemed very good in my opinion. Either the installation was too expensive, the monitoring was too expensive, the equipment did not belong to me, or the system had security flaws which defeated the purpose of having a home security system. Then I learned about the Honeywell Lyric Home Security System. After exhaustive research, I came to the conclusion that this was the best wireless security system on the market. Its fully encrypted wireless technology solves this longstanding security deficiency of wireless systems; and the dual wireless/cellular communication options solves another. After deciding on the Honeywell Lyric system, I started looking where to buy it. Based on my research, I felt confident I could install the system myself so I looked at DIY options. Initially I did not look at Alarm New England because they did not have prices posted on their website, so I assumed they were more expensive. I finally decided to give them a call and discovered that THEY WERE THE CHEAPEST. They also have a professional installation option (also very reasonably priced) for those who are not comfortable with a self installation. I signed up with Alarm New England right away. My equipment came within days of my order, all pre-programmed, and the installation was a breeze. Connie and Alexandra were amazing throughout the sales and installation process. Coincidently, while researching Alarm New England, a friends dishwasher shorted out and started an electrical fire in their kitchen while they were away. Background: We started years ago with an alarm company acquired by Alarm New England. The analog/landline system was seldom on and existed only to satisfy insurance requirements when we were away.False alarms were a serious issue for us and neighbors called to investigate whether there had been a break-in or a fire. Xfinity recently upgraded an old analog system, which gave us an opportunity to consider other digital options. Alarm New England was there, but we were barely aware of them, simply paying someone else for the same service.Bored, a simple online enquiry opened up a team of experts at ANE and a dreaded change turned into a fun ride. Our existing system was expertly assessed, proposals presented, and within two weeks we were up and running. The techs showed up on time, knew what they were doing, saving most of the older system, and cleaned up afterward. There were no surprise costs. On call, Connie Mastoras was simply superb in working through with my wife setting up additional cameras and answering any questions I had. The cameras are beautiful with excellent resolution. The system is so easy to arm and monitor remotely it is always in use.We cut the landline after forty years, which equaled the cost of Alarm New Englands monthly charges. We have other analog systems elsewhere and wish we Alarm New England was there to help make a change. Out only complaint is they dont service all of the United States.

Coming from LiveShield (now owned by AT&T) after a 6 year stint I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Alarm New England blows them away and anyone else away. I did a ton of research before I made a switch and this is what I found.The difference in the quality of the equipment alone is enough to switch. Had I known, I would have done it years ago. The Honeywell Equipment works flawlessly and was priced right. Some of the equipment we have in our house is Homekit enabled and very unreliable. This Honeywell Lyric just works and you can immediately see the quality when you open the box.I chose to do the self Install of my system and once I laid out our house with Alexandria (whos incredible by the way) my system was configured and shipped out the following day. When it arrived the next morning I opened the box and it was all configured and ready to go. Sensors were labeled and it was pretty much plug and plays from there. After installing my sensors I called Connie to test the system and make sure it was talking to the central monitoring hub.At no point in the process was there a hiccup. Everything arrived quickly and was configured to work properly with our home with ZERO issues. I cant say enough about this company, their product and their customer service. Best of the best! Hopefully well never have to test the alarm in the real world but if we do I have no doubt it will function as its supposed to and Alarm New England will do their part, unlike some of the other companies out there.

Completed my DIY alarm install today with assistant from Connie Mastoras from Alarm New England. She stated I made her job easier by completing the diy install as professionals and with such an attention to details as I did. She then stated that I would make a great installer! Lol.
