Not recommended for long distance moving!!Two months ago, I moved from Boston to San Jose, CA.Before my moving day, Isabella and others seemed to be quite professional and responsive. Also, the crews were good at packing and loading my boxes and large furniture.However, when they unloaded, things changed.They asked me to pay before they started unloading which I understood at that time but they were not very careful during unloading.They broke my bench and dropped my book shelves so one of my drawers was cracked. Additionally, two boxes went missing.I only have 30 boxes and it was just typical one bedroom moving so how come?It has been two months that I have been communicating with them for my claim and they mentioned that they will check their inventory and reimburse but like others, nothing happened!They are now ignoring my emails so I decided to leave my overall experience with zero recommendation for this company.I have done cross-country moving several times and Poseidon is the worst ever.Please look for better and more professional moving company!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, or at least be prepared to pay for full insurance and buy new furniture when they wreck yours. If you can even reach them to file a claim...Initially thought we were having a good experience -- quick response and relatively low price to piggyback on a move from Boston to Seattle. They accommodated when we had to move to Los Angeles instead (for a $500 markup).Upon delivery, we discovered that just about everything not packed by us had been damaged. Multiple boxes/bins we had clearly labeled FRAGILE were damaged and/or crushed (items inside mostly survived due to our own liberal over-padding, luckily). My furniture (Im a furnituremaker by trade) was WRECKED. Chair and table had been knocked around and the paint is dinged, chipped, and dirty, and to my dismay, my favorite cabinet (wrapped by Poseidon) was literally ripped apart, the doors broken, joinery popped loose, etc. Im kicking myself for not being able to afford premium insurance, because there are thousands of dollars worth of damage that I expect theyll worm out of paying.The best part? Ive been trying to reach them for 3 weeks both by email and phone, and its impossible to reach their customer service manager, Oleg, to file a claim.Apparently, he has time to write plenty of fake 5-star reviews to keep the Google score high, though

Best movers I have ever used. Professional and fast. Arrived on schedule. Finished on schedule. Extra careful. Supply protective padding and carpets for my floor. Couldnt have asked for a better company to do the job. Excellent movers.

I booked with Poseidon because they were highly recommended by friends of mine and I was happy I did. The team was on time and ready to start my move immediately. We had a timeline to follow and they made sure we stuck to the schedule. The team worked continuously and ensured my items were transported safely and securely. The team of movers was pleasant and easy to speak with. I hope I never have to move again, but if I do.. I will be calling Poseidon and will be recommending them to our friend.

Great team! Efficient and smooth. Understood the stress of moving and took care with everything. Nothing scratched, nothing broken and all was done quickly (an hour under the estimated time!).

Just moved last week. Three guys came and moved us from our fourth floor walk up. These guys were sweating and working hard and fast. they took care of all fragile, odd shaped and precious items and didnt throw boxes around. they had great efficiency. This is the second time I have used them and I would use them again. They have another stair fee fee, and the hourly rate is so good it is worth it. The price is budget friendly and the work is top notch. I would use them again in the future. Just give them accurate information and they are good with their quote estimate.

Can’t say enough about how fantastic Poseidon was in the moving process. They were on time, incredibly friendly, wore their masks the whole time (COVID), efficient, careful with all our items, and generally just great to work with! Plus, the price for their service was absolutely the best of the various quotes we received. A huge thank you to all of them for their outstanding service. We will absolutely use this company again and recommend them to others!

Poseidon Moving helped us move when we had our flooring replaced. They moved furniture and boxes between the second floor and the garage. The appointment set up was very easy and the communication was great. The guys who did the move were professional and courteous and did the job in much less time than I anticipated.

They were very professional. Covered all the stairs and areas where the furniture was being moved from. Covered and taped in place all furniture. Took apart the bed and console and reassembled once at the apartment. Were quick and finished in record time.

Absolutely amazing. Like for most, moving gives me big anxiety - Ive definitely had run ins with bad movers before - but I couldnt have been in better hands with Poseidon. These guys were punctual and friendly, but more than that, they went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate all my demands. I spoke to Niko on the phone to get an estimate in order to move interstate. He expressed that they provided a 10-day window for delivery which was fine. I attempted to work with him to identify a pick-up date and delivery date that would work with my timeline. Not only did Niko insult me by telling me that I was contradicting myself but he was extremely RUDE throughout the entire process. I am extremely unsatisfied with the conversation and customer service that was provided! I am glad that I dodged a bullet by NOT going with them!

Had high hopes and mostly a good experience. The pickup movers were friendly and helpful, but someone failed to inform them that they were pickup up a car as well. I had to drive my own car to their distribution center and then find my own way back home. Delivery movers were also friendly and helpful, but an antique dresser must not have been secured properly because one of the legs was broken upon delivery. I emailed them about the damages and needing to get it fixed. They said the case has been referred to their claims department two different times and nothing. It has been over a month and they refuse to take responsibility for their poor planning and protection of my furniture.

The team was absolutely wonderful! They protected my furniture with plastic wrap and fabric, problem solved tight spaces by removing doors as necessary, and were overall super friendly, efficient, and great to work with! I will definitely be using them for future moves.

These guys are awesome! First of all, their website is very helpful in determining the move estimate which I very much appreciate. We did a cross-country move and so getting an accurate quote was important. Once that was done, Nico was really helpful with organizing the move and getting us ready.In terms of the actual move, what can I say, the movers were so helpful. They were patient in dealing with parking/building issues at the pickup spot (classic NYC) and just a pleasure to deal with in general. Fast, efficient, helpful. We arrived in our new location in 3 days and they were able to move our stuff in that same evening! For real, yall are the best! Highly recommended!

Incredible. The two men were amazing and took the care I expected. Nothing broken. They were work horses that also had the challenge of many stairs and doors. There was always constant communication before, during, and after the move. I cant recommend more highly. They made the stress disappear.

Poseidon never arrived plain and simple.... I was left completely ghosted with no response for several days. Do not do business with them if you are in the Boston area. I scheduled the move 1.5 months ahead of time and put a $200 deposit down, but then was left completely stranded on my move date one day before the deadline of my lease. The Customer Service representative assigned to your move is not responsive for days on end, you are lucky if you get a response. They purposely do not give you any contact information and have no sense of accountability.Two entire days after my move date had been scheduled, without hearing a single thing from Poseidon, I finally received a message from the Customer Service rep assigned to my move that read, “Hi Cullen, I deeply apologize for this happening. I was not in the office, so I was not aware this was occurring nor was I notified of this. We are trying our best to be on time for the moves and plan accordingly, but things have been extremely busy on our end as we have lost a couple of our movers and drivers. Again, I sincerely apologize. If you would like to reschedule, due to increased volume we are only scheduling moves after 6/5, if you would like to cancel your move with us and issue a refund, please let me know.”I booked this move 1.5 months in advance (with a $200 deposit down), and needed to move out of my apartment by 5/31. The Customer Service rep was the only contact information I was provided, so of course they were not notified of the movers never showing up… they don’t check their email/phone because there is no sense of accountability. They just move on to the next customer who falls for the trap that they can take advantage of. Absolute nightmare, do not hire them. There are plenty of alternative options that actually show up on the day of your move.

We had a great moving experience with Poseidon when we had to move from Boston to Arlington, Virginia. Nico was extremely responsive and offered us a very competitive quote, and the entire team of movers were very careful, friendly and took great care of our furniture. They were also on time, actually, they were early, which we loved!

Don’t use these guys! They will under-quote you than the rest and promise the best services. Then they will not answer your calls on the day of delivery and the stuff will show up 4 days late. Then they will still charge you the premium you payed to get the stuff early and that will be more expensive than other services. Please use professionals and save yourself the stress.

I had a great experience with Poseidon. My pickup window was from 1-4pm however the crew didnt arrive until 6pm. Nonetheless they stayed until the job was done (near midnight) and facilitated a move across three states. Nothing damaged or missing - couldnt be happier with the service.

1 star is not low enough for this company! NEVER USE POSEIDON MOVING! They were hands down the worst moving experience, and the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced period. They completely missed my pick up window, they were over a week late on the delivery window, and when they finally arrived they gave me no warning. They called me one afternoon and said theyd be there in 15 minutes to deliver my stuff. Obviously it was in the middle of my work day. When they moved the stuff in they made a complete mess, throwing the boxes around and no organization -> the mattress was dropped on top of fragile boxes. Management does not respond to calls or emails no matter how much I tried. I literally cant believe how awful of an experience Poseidon was. I REPEAT, STAY AWAY!!!!

Our experience with Poseidon was a little mixed, but however overall the experience was good.This is for a move from Somerville to Charlestown.The Good: Our movers were extremely considerate and very good at their job. They arrived on time for our move, worked quickly, and our items were handled well. There were multiple flights of stairs involved in our move, and they didnt complain once, and were even willing to help me move a few items up an additional flight of stairs to the roof deck. I requested floor protection as part of our move as we had just redone the floors in our new condo, and they did a great job with this as well. Would recommend the movers themselves, and the dispatcher Jay, highly.In addition, due to the issue I mention below, they gave us a discount and even before that I felt the price was very fair for the service we were given.The Not So Good: We requested and paid for Poseidon to secure parking permits for us, and they completely dropped the ball on this. Luckily we were able to find parking at both locations, and Poseidon took full responsibility for this mistake, and did everything they could to make it right. But it did add some stress to the move.

Hired them for long distance move, and turned out the worst nightmare of our life.From quote to delivery everything was messed up.They provide a different quote charged different, they didn’t clear out at the beginning for pricing and it was really disappointing. Moving staff were unprofessional and were not listening anything, they didn’t put name on the boxes after asking them for the same. Packing was not upto the mark they damaged multiple items. We moved our car also, which took 1 Month to reach our destination.Their customer service is pathetic as they don’t answer calls, voicemail,emails anything at the time of urgency and need.only positive note they refunded the damages.Not recommended for moving services.

Polite, friendly, attentive and on time. Minor changes in moving itinerary that produced little changes in pre arranged price. I did NOT get hit with hidden fees, and would definitely recommend using them again.

I don’t write reviews normally, but these people won’t answer the phone, so I have no other recourse. Extremely unprofessional and inexperienced service. They damaged some of the furniture and refused to move one item (couldn’t figure out how to take it down the stairs... and here I was thinking these are professionals). I’m still waiting to be called back about the issue, it’s been more than a week. Also, took them 1 hour to drive from the old to the new apartment, a 15 min drive. Overall, working very slowly. For a similar move a year ago we hired one guy with a truck from TaskRabbit, he charged half the money, took less time and didn’t damage the furniture or leave us with an unfinished job. That was honest service. This business is not. Should have listened to my doubts and use a different company when they charged $30 for producing some insurance verification paper for the apartment complex.

This company lost two of my containers on the move, and have not responded to me since. They were also 3 days late (after a TWO week window) and broke a piece of my furniture in transit. They are incredibly unresponsive and do not hold up to any of their promises made on the website.

The movers were great, but the management way overbooked them and they showed up super late. This would have been fine if the dispatcher had just let us know! We were booked for 8AM and nobody from Poseidon would return our calls until noon.The movers didnt show up until 3PM, but they were good at packing, fast, and willing to hustle even though they had been working all day and the previous night.Poseidon, if youre going to book so many jobs in one day, get more people working the phone lines so customers can at least know how long they have to wait. The customer service guy who finally called me was helpful and understanding, but even he couldnt get in touch with the dispatcher for another hour.If I had known how long I was going to wait, I could have gotten more thing ready, but instead I was stuck at home looking out my window for the moving truck for 6 hours.My rate was reduced after all this trouble, but I didnt feel like the movers deserved to make less because management overbooked them, so I tipped them pretty well.

I used Poseidon Moving for an out of state move for a small 1 bedroom apartment. Prior to booking my move, my moving representative was extremely responsive and available to answer any questions. On my moving day, the movers were 2 hours late, I called my rep over 4 times and he is still yet to return my call. Once the movers arrived they did a quick and good job packing up & securing all my furniture. They were scheduled to arrive the following morning from 8-10a but did not arrive at my destination until noon. They did a fine job unpacking everything and nothing was broken but would highly suggest going with another company if you’re under any type of time constraints.

I used their services to move out of state. They forgot some of my items in their warehouse in MA and failed to deliver it to me when they delivered the rest of my stuff. They promised to get it to me soon. But it been more than a month since my move and they have not done so yet. I have emailed and called/left voice mail. No response on either.

Do not hire this company. At first, everything seemed fine. My account manager, Paul was responsive when I called with questions up until my moving date. On the day I was scheduled to move (5/28 between 1-4pm), a mover called me to say hell arrive later around 6pm. While I had plans, I said that was fine and waited. 6pm came and went. I called back asking for an update, and the mover seemed surprised and said, Oh, no one called you? Im done for the day, but maybe we can come tomorrow. Someone will call you soon with an update. At this point Im confused as to how they can just forget about a customer, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I waited for a call that never came. The next morning, Paul calls me and says he thinks a team will come later today, but he cant give me an estimate as to when. I had to cancel my plans for the day but agreed. I waited until 6pm, at which point I had attempted to contact Paul/Poseidon throughout the day for an update, but the line was continuously busy. I finally decide to call the mover out of desperation to reach ANYONE at this company and to my surprise, he says hes on his way, but hes in traffic. He finally arrives around 7pm alone saying theyre understaffed, etc. While Im extremely frustrated, I tip him well as he was fast and this wasnt technically his fault. I had less than a day to clean the apartment and fly to my new city, but I figure at least my things are now gone and on their way. Over the next couple of days, I try to contact Paul/Poseidon via email and phone, but their line is continuously busy and no one gets back to me. I finally try my account page through their website, where someone else named Jann responds to me 5 days later. Again, they are unable to provide me with an exact date, so I continuously have to schedule and cancel my freight elevator in my new apartment and call out of work. They had initially stated that the last possible date they would deliver was 6/7 (7 days since they originally took my belongings) and confirmed that would be the date, but that day came and went. I had to once again, waste a day off from work waiting around and had to cancel my freight elevator reservations. I ask for a discount and THIS is when Oleg, a different manager decides to actually call me and says that the new estimate is next week, around 6/16-6/17... He is only willing to give me $250 off despite this massive delay. I had a vacation scheduled that week for my birthday, but now I had to cancel that, not to mention take more time off work at a moments notice for whenever they could come. He again said he couldnt give me an estimate. After repeatedly getting in touch with Jann (who is wonderful and was the only person regularly communicating with me), Jann assures me that the movers are coming June 16th in the afternoon. With this reassurance, I took the day off from work and schedule my freight elevator. However, Oleg calls me again saying they might come later today, or possibly tomorrow as they have other moves in my city (How/why they would prioritize a different customer over one they forgot about and then delayed repeatedly for over 2 weeks is beyond me...). I am furious at this point, so he gives me a $150 discount but says he cant do anything more than that. The mover then calls me at 4pm that day saying hes arriving around 5:30-6 so I change my freight elevator reservation once again. Unsurprisingly, they are late and my apartment management is as frustrated as I am. They finally arrive, but it takes them about an hour to actually start moving my items. They finish around 9pm. Immediately after I pay and tip, I get an automated email from Paul (LOL) asking me to rate the service. In short, expect zero communication and late delivery. [I also suspect theyre removing reviews as I saw several new bad reviews removed and suddenly a flurry of good ones replace them.]

We utilized Poseidon Moving for an out-of-state office move. Albeit a small job, we were pressed for time and Poseidon was more than willing to work with our schedule, the very affordable rate was clear from the start and Sean was terrific at the destination. I would highly recommend their services for anyone in the Boston area (and beyond).

Would not recommend this company to anyone!! They not only damaged a lot of my furniture, but also didn’t put my furniture together correctly. Months later I am still finding parts of my furniture that are missing parts, screws, and aren’t fully screwed together. Part of the service is they take apart your furniture and put it back together, but they didn’t fully complete the task. Unfortunately my bed broke due to their negligence. The slats weren’t screed in properly or my bed frame, and now is completely damaged. They also were very rude and disrespectful during the move, and tried over charging for their service after the agreed upon price. They also refused to wear there masks during the move which lead me having to pay for a cleaning company to come clean everything after the move. So disappointed in this company and their service won’t be using them again.

The communication was great from the quote, confirmation, and day of the move. They were very prompt with their arrival and quick with getting everything in and out. They were total champs with carrying all of my things up 4 flights of stairs as my new apartment is on a 5th floor walk-up. They disassembled and re-assembled a piece of furniture of mine very swiftly and properly wrapped/covered everything up to avoid any damage. They also were sure to have their masks on due to COVID.Moe and Emmett were the best!

We used Poseidon for an out of state move and could not have been happier! They helped with the permit and getting it posted for us. They showed up on time the day of our move and were really quick and efficient in getting our truck unpacked. Cannot recommend them enough and thank you for making our moving process stress free!

Weve used Poseidon for two coast-to-coast cross-country moves in the past 2 years (ouch). We selected them initially because they dont broker out the truck -- the driver you see drive away is the driver who shows up at the destination (sometimes helpers at the destination are local area-based). They have been phenomenal -- super courteous, flexible in trying to arrange truck-sharing, responsible. And no issues with anything damaged. Two thumbs way up. Well never use another mover. I feel obliged to say that Im not a paid reviewer or a robot :) This is a real human endorsing this.

Moved from one apartment to another today and Poseiden made sure it was seamless with no worries. Two friendly guys showed up (he even called ahead 2 times) and packed up my apartment in a few hours. We contacted Poseidon Movers in late July for a very, very last minute move from Brighton to another Boston neighborhood. We needed to move within a few days, so we were scrambling. They were fast and responsive and super easy to work with. They provide us with free boxes and tape and wrapping paper. The move went very smoothly and we were very happy with them. There was nothing damaged and even the storage went without incident.

I used Poseidon Moving on a recommendation from a colleague. They had fantastic service from start to finish, protected everything, re-assembled beds, and was very accommodating. I would definitely use them again.

Wow, just wow. The most amazing service Ive ever gotten. I have Ikea furniture and everyone knows that Ikea furniture does not hold in being transported. But nothing was scratched! Nothing broken at all. I am completely amazed. Oleg was there on time, ready and enthusiastic to get started. He made sure to take extra good care of things I was most worried about. Most of my things were made of plywood and acrylic and everything was completely intact when it arrived. No words can explain how great the service was. Will definitely be recommending to all my friends and family.

Poseidon Movers knocked my move out of the park. They did an amazing job loading up the truck and getting my pain in the A furniture out of the house. They had to breakdown three items, but they were able to get them back together no problem in my new location. My movers, Jay and Emmitt, were full on professionals and would 100% recommend to anybody. 👍

These guys are great! We had to do a within building move. They have been very professional, motivated and rapid. They moved all the furniture almost effortlessly. I will sure refer them to any friend moving to town.

Bottom line, these guys are reliable, communicative and affordable. We recently moved from a 2 bedroom condo in Brookline to a 4 bedroom home in Newton. They arrived promptly at our agreed upon time and they worked for 8 hours straight. They were careful with our belongings and got everything there in one piece, as well as in the right rooms. I would use these guys again, but hoping I never will need to. :-)

Excellent movers, showed up at 9 a.m. on the dot, very friendly and extremely efficient. They wrapped up my couch and other furniture items to make sure they didnt get dinged. Moved a 2 bedroom apartment from N.H. to Boston. Showed them one time what was going and what wasnt. There was no questions and no mistakes. Definitely would use these guys again.

I did not have a good experience with Poseidon Moving. They were late, they were not professional, they were inefficient, they were not supervised. Somehow in a move less than 1 mile away they managed to lose a few items. I would not recommend these movers.

The guys helped me move from Boston to Brooklyn, NY. It was a big move and I expected it to be stressful considering the amount of fragile furniture that I had, and the distance. However, everything was handled professionally and with care. Nothing was broken or scratched! Yay! The team worked very hard, and were nice and friendly. The guys are a wonderful team and I would definitely hire them again. Highly recommended!!

POSEIDON crew moved us this past summer for a second time. We moved two years ago from Boston to Norwood with them. Since they did such a great job the first time, we did not hesitate to call Oleg to schedule a moving date the second time without getting another quote from other company. During the first move, I got 3 quotes and their is most reasonable. We decided to go with Poseidon because of the great reviews they have on Yelp and Google, which is means a lot nowadays. I trust these guys with belongings and they work extremely hard. They did such a fabulous job the second time that I had to tip each crew member $100. Hopefully, we arent moving anytime soon but if we do I will call up Poseidon without any hesitation. I would highly recommend Poseidon to move you and your things. Also remember to TIP the crew as theyre probably dont make that much.

These guys are hands-down the best movers Ive ever worked with. Friendly, fast, safe, and efficient. They handled even the bulkiest items (like my arcade machine) with ease and came up with creative ways to pack cumbersome or unstable furniture (like shelf slats or worn-down TV stands). Would gladly bring then back on for my next move.

These guys were great! We had a 6 man team: Egor, Ilya, Vlad, Matt, Peter and Slava. They worked hard, non stop from 7am-4pm. Moved us from 1 house full of stuff for 2 kids and 2 adults to another house. Both houses had a staircase to even get into the house, and both had 2 additional levels. They were professional, courteous and just very helpful. They never minded moving heavy plants or boxes when we changed our minds about where they needed to go. They dealt with an awkward parking situation at the new place; they made a stop on the way to drop off 1 heavy item etcc..Probably our least painful move so far, out of 7 in our adult lives. Thanks guys!Highly recommend them.

From initial quote and setup with Oleg to the move itself with Max, Andrey and Alexey, everything went seamlessly. These three guys were very professional with handling and packing of the cargo to loading and unloading to the final destination. Final bill matched the estimate exactly. they handled everything right. nothing was broken and the amount of energy that the moving crew showed on such a muggy hot day was amazing. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend their service to anyone looking for great movers.

We had a great experience with Poseidon Moving. The owner was local and offered to come to our apartment to give us a more accurate quote. His was lower than any others we received. They came during the time he gave me and I worked with them to help reduce my own cost. Everything was moved quickly and the guys were hard working. The time it actually took to move was less than was quoted and that was including difficulty with a couch which was too big for my doorway. All of the furniture was wrapped in blankets for protection and nothing was damaged during the move. I would recommend using this company.

Very terrific company. I recently hired them and those guys met my expectations.Their customer service is absolutely on top level. They moved my 3bdr from brookline to brookline and total bill came out twice cheaper than other companys estimates. I had moved many times for work during the past 15+ years, I moved from coast to coast and internationally. The company paid for high-priced moving services but Poseidon Moving is by far the best company I have ever used! The crew I had (Mo, Christian, Andy and Chris ) are punctual, professional, pleasant and very courteous . They showed up right on time and jumped right into work. Everything was nicely and carefully wrapped and loaded to the truck in no time. They unloaded and unpacked just as fast with zero damage to my belongings! Mo even gave me some good advice on arranging the furniture. :-) I had been stressed out by the move, but the crew made the whole process truly hassle free! I was extremely grateful and a very happy customer! When you call them, ask for Nico, the Account Manger, he will make your move a joy!
