Lost my phone during my move and found a voicemail from the rep at the location threatening to report the trailer as stolen. Tried 3x to call but they would not answer. Then I was also charged an unknown $20 fee. Would not recommend this location.
Dera general manager Jen please do not treat your customers like 5 year olds by repeating lies to your customers if your store tells someone something please honor it without giving them such a hard time and swearing at them please and thank you they also are refusing to release the funds back to my card when I paid in cash

Great place to rent always. Better price and good staff members. They will come out and help you hook up the trailer to your truck and you do all the inspection on your phone. West Valley U haul the best!
They were pretty busy when I went in, but when my turn came, they made me feel like I was the only customer in the shop. The van ran great and was in good condition.
We rented from the Bountiful location. The staff was friendly and helpful with the initial transaction, however we discovered an issue with the contract after the fact and they refused to fix it at the time. I have called the main uhaul and opened an issue ticket and this store still refuses to resolve my issue. I was overcharged by several thousand dollars and they wont give me my money back!
Beware U-boxes! They tell you you have to schedule a pickup, which is fine. What they dont tell you is that the schedule is weeks out so you will just have to continue to pay the storage fee until it is convenient for them to get you your box. Hopefully you dont need your stuff urgently!
Helped my dad book a guaranteed rental over 2 weeks ago to pick up today. Arrive at location in time for the pickup only for them to tell us that they dont have it, and they are overbooked, a situation which weve seen from U-Haul in the past. After being obviously frustrated that there was no forewarning, they proceed to tell us that they left a voicemail, but there was none on the phone we had on file plus they couldnt provide any proof they called. The worker this whole time acted extremely unprofessional, as well as the manager backed them up in cutting us off, calling us liars, as well as other insults to customers who did nothing wrong but act upset that the trailer we had reserved and guaranteed, was not available. Safe to say I would never go back nor recommend this location of U-Haul to ANYONE, let alone U-Haul as a business in general after this interaction.
Dont move here with a Uhaul truck and expect to get the guaranteed free storage. Uhaul will tell you there is one reserved for you but when you get to Bountiful Uhaul, they will have given it away. They will offer you a unit 1/3rd the size which will be useless. Dont trust these people! Horrible!

Im leaving this review because Ive witnessed some truly irate customers attempt to use the employees here as punching bags.Yes, moving is stressful, yes people make mistakes, but Ive rented trucks, bought boxes, had a hitch installed, just about every service they offer and have always had great experiences - even when things have gone south.Id have zero hesitation recommending this location for any moving needs you have.
We were able to grab the correct size towing ball close to close time and they even let us borrow their tools to put it on.
If I could give them 10 stars I would. Jen and Brandon went above and beyond to help is with our move. They were friendly and offered solutions for our needs. Thank you for your kindness and stellar customer service!!

I needed a tow package installed on my vehicle to put my Yakima bike rack on. Much cheaper than other places and it only took them about 90 minutes. Staff was professional and Jeffrey went out of his way to make sure that I knew how to access the hitch and put my bike rack on. Highly recommend for this service!
Moving can be a stressful time in anyones life. I have moved dozens of times and used U-haul for all of my moving needs. This past Saturday, 5/1/2021, I was scheduled to meet the guys from Moving Help at 9:30 to unload the U-haul into a storage unit. Because the paperwork wasnt completed, I arrived at 9:00am at which time Jen Barker informed me that the system went down. There were people lined up in the store and U-haul trucks lined up in the yard for check-in...not surprising as this was the 1st of the month on a weekend.Jen and Brandon helped customers as fast as fast as they could using old school paper and pen methods.Jen couldnt use the computer to locate the unit I reserved, so we went looking for an available unit by foot.The process was time consuming, but not the fault of the U-haul team.We located the vacant unit and proceeded with paperwork, so the movers could unload the U-haul truck.Because the computer was down, every transaction took longer than expected, but Jen and Brandon were dedicated to helping everyone who walked in as best they could like pros, never rude and always polite and professional.Thank you Jen and Brandon for not giving up and taking care of me!

One of the staff members was somewhat short with us when we came to get our storage unit. We paid for a temperature controlled unit and they asked us if we wanted one again when we came to move our things in. Also put a lock inside the unit with no explanation and charged us for it when we used it.
Worst please ever. Schedule an hour or more of your time jus to pickup or drop off.
Jen was awesome! I wanted to rent an appliance dolly contactless due to the pandemic and me being high-risk. She went above and beyond to accommodate me and the transaction went smoothly. I was able to drive up, pick up the dolly, and drive away without any issues and with social distancing intact. This place is managed by some incredible people!
The fellow on duty yesterday (sorry, cant remember his name (Brandon?)), was very accommodating, informational, AND friendly.
They put in a trailer brake for us and came across a mess that rack n road did. They fixed it all correctly and with integrity.
I showed up to pick up my reserved truck and the U-Haul reservation system had crashed. After waiting for some time I was sent home to wait and I had to return later. The store was chaos. More waiting. The automatic confirmation texts for the contract and vehicle inspection were invalid. More waiting. The contract vehicle information didnt match the vehicle they gave me. The truck didnt have a full tank of gas. At the end of the rental period I couldnt check the truck back in because of discrepancies in the mileage and contract so they had to wait for management to handle the issue. I received no call or communication from U-Haul just additional charges on my credit card with no explanation. The last thing you need on a stressful move day with people waiting is delay after delay. Not happy.
Nice and clean, customer service always top notch and they always answer all your questions. No matter how small or difficult they may be. They practice real clean protocols for Covid prevention. Great location, in Bountiful.
The worst thing of reviews is trying to rate whole experience over the one or two misunderstanding or inconvenience. The truck and trailer wasnt ready on top of truck being dirty. Why give five stars may ask, things happen and the five stars represents how when things happen how the place handled it. They provided great service despite the minor stuff that is everyday life. Great people and grateful for service. Uhaul is big company, the little people are what make it big and great to use services.
Went in for a Job and was doing just fine until a bum walked in and they offered him my hours right in front of my face and then proceeded to act like it was just a part time job .. tried to pay me out in dishonest wages which I would only accept my hourly pay minus a half hour which they still owe me for.
Dont be fooled by the $19.95 per day. By the end of my 5 hour Rental, it was $115 and WORTH EVERY CENT. This has to be a tough business to run, but the two people I worked with knew their stuff, were amazingly accommodating, and got me in and out fast.
Told me I had a job, I show up for work n they say they dont want to work me wen they could of called ahead n told me rather than get my hopes up n lie to me
Was never told that there was a $20 late drop off fee. I explained when I rented that I was going to drop it off that night late. I even turned it in 2 days earlier than was allotted.Then they tried to say they charge the $20 to protect me since someone could have stolen the trailer, ha.

I’ve called multiple times and never get a response or a call back. Their call menu is terrible and service was the worst I’ve ever encountered.
My wife actually rents from U-Haul and theyve always treated her good, the prices have always been Fair, and the people have been the nice.

Told us to just drop off our equipment and theyll take care of it. They checked it out to another customer before checking in our equipment and we got an incorrect triple charge for returning it to another location.
Have had multiple issues and no actual resolution to any one of them (truck/trailer rentals & storage issues). I feel like a number to them not a name.

I bought a trailer hitch at this location and made an appointment for installation. They changed my appointment time and failed to communicate that with me. As a solution they offered to cancel my appointment. Im not sure what they intended to solve with that offer. Then, they offered to set up another appointment two weeks out. Again, not really a solution.Obviously I do not recommend this location. In the end, I ended up installing it myself. Took about 20 minutes. Its a lot easier than you think so if you are handy at all you can absolutely do it yourself and skip paying them for it.

Easy pick up and drop off. You will need to pick drop off and pick up locations, dont assume you can just drop it off at any location. Its just like a rental car, but quicker and easier. I definitely would recommend them.

Rude rude rude. Every time, even with a change in manager. It was a busy Saturday and the man working decided to give us a talk about how they can’t hire anyone and he could just be home on unemployment when we expressed a concern about the wait instead of responding professionally to a customers concern he was extremely rude and disrespectful. I should’ve known to not go back here.

Tried to make a reservation over the phone. I was on hold for 10 + minutes. Gave up and decided to drive down last minute. Arrived at 6:55. Was told that I was out of luck. Should have come in sooner. I explain that I had been trying to call various locations for over 20 minutes. My concerns were met with shrugs. I understand that I was showing up just before closing time, but being turned away within business hours was off-putting.
I would go out of my way to do business at this Bountiful, Utah U-Haul location. Andrew and Stacy are top notch in customer service, listening and responding appropriately. I have required four U-Haul trucks and trailers the past month, ranging from 23 truck to 5x8 enclosed utility trailer.This afternoon, in the third major snowstorm of the week, Andrew shoveled a path to help me accomplish the goal of getting moving.

Absolutely the most unprofessional and rude business I have ever been to. After my pick up time was changed from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm without me knowing, I called to confirm my original pick up time and was told that its just a preferred pick up time I guess they assume that people have no problem sitting and waiting around 6+ hours in their smelly office to wait for their truck. After discussing that I had arranged a staff to meet and assist with moving and that the change in time was going to be very difficult to rearrange I was told there was absolutely nothing she could do to help me. She said the only thing we could do was to file an action. So when I called back 10 minutes later to file the action I was hung up on.....hmmmmm nice. So anyway. Save yourself some stress and stay far away from this business.
If I told you what the Uhaul in Bountiful did for me, you wouldn’t believe me. Again, their customer service is unbelievable! After my nightmare experience in Santa Fe,NM, these folks went beyond belief to please me,...again!

Was supposed to be getting a hitch put on my car today but when I got there to my appt time that I scheduled 9 days ago they said my hitch wasn’t there and that fedex had no tracking available. I realize that it’s not their fault that the hitch didn’t get delivered but the fact they didn’t call me before hand to tell me, that is very poor customer service. While Jeff did apologize for that when I complained about not being notified, he was otherwise rude and very unhelpful. He wouldn’t call fedex or provide any help to finding a date it would be here. I will never go back after the way I was treated and the help I was not given. He was also the GM according to his card.
The gentleman running the desk was very polite and knowledgeable. My service was quick and easy.
Possibly the worst customer service experience I’ve had recently. We ordered a trailer hitch and installation online and had it scheduled at this location because it was the only place in our area with the part. They sent multiple emails and texts to confirm, until they sent another one the day before installation telling us they moved the date two weeks later. I called to check the status of our appointment, but their local number reroutes calls to general UHaul customer service in Florida where you can deal with someone who has no idea what’s happening with your case and who won’t connect you with the local store. Now we’re forced to take our business elsewhere because we’re leaving town and have to have a hitch installed.
Completely not trustworthy. Will not do any more business with U Haul. Made reservations for specific days, showed up and they knew nothing about. Rescheduled to a later date, showed up and they said they knew nothing about it. Made another reservation to have a trailer brake installed prior to any upcoming trip, got notified two days before they moved it out two weeks. Showed up for the 4th reservation date and they said they don’t actually install trailer brakes and that the reservation line made a mistake. Avoid this unprofessional place at all costs.
Rented a car dolly from them. It was the best customer service experience I have ever had anywhere. Sabrina is the best, she knows her stuff! Once the dolly was hooked up my lights weren’t working on the trailer. Sabrina went right to work. She took the time and changed my fuse and sent me on my way. Rent was simple and easy. Seriously, Sabrina is the best!!!
The district manager Jeff is very unprofessional and rude. He wouldn’t rent me a trailer because he thinks my license is suspended because it says military on it. Absolutely no proof that it is expired and wouldn’t rent me a trailer because of it. Went and spoke to another manager at a different location and they agreed nothing was wrong with my license. Spoke to the police about my license being expired and they said it is not expired but they can’t tell him anything. Extremely rude and unprofessional definitely needs customer service training. One star is too high. If you go here I recommend you avoid him.
I got a U-haul on 7/3/2020. I called to get an extension till 8pm. I got there 2 mins early and the person that helped me was totally rude and really poor customer service. Told me he couldnt help me cause they close in 2 mins. Well any company should help there customer even if they close in 2 mins told me I had to do it on line. I could of been checked in, in that 2 mins but seem like he was more worried about getting off work than helping out a customer. I wouldnt recommend using this one in Bountiful unless you want to be treated like garbage.
The guys here are super helpful and I was able to pick up the truck and attach the trailer to it super easily.
I am impressed with the service the local store provided. I am not impressed with the corporate call center or online sales center. The local crew took care of me where the online and telesales crew over promised and under delivered. Hitch installation went well. Online sales sent wrong parts. The local crew took care of and owned the mistake. Thank you. I recommend for great service.
I rented a cargo van a few days ago, and the van itself was great. I would have been leaving a better review, but unfortunately had a very poor experience when checking back in.As I left in the morning, I noticed that the mileage rolled over immediately as I was leaving the parking lot. I took a photo of it as I was pulling out, and upon returning, told the attendant what had happened. I know it’s not a lot of money, but the principle is important to me. The attendant looked at my photo and agreed what it showed. She asked the manager on duty, who told her he would credit me for the mileage discrepancy. I asked if I needed to stick around for the check in process, and was told that it was not necessary. When my final bill was emailed to me, I was not credited the mileage as promised. As stated before, I know it’s not a lot of money, and it won’t bankrupt me by any means, but it will cause me to look elsewhere when I need to rent a truck or trailer in the future.
If you like watching them take 35 minutes to get a quote on a trailer hitch and schedule the trailer hitch installation. Then showing up for your appointment a week later to find that they can’t do the job because they don’t have all the parts necessary, then this is the place for you!They were so unapologetic with a “not my problem” attitude. And when I told the manager that it was so frustrating to me that they didn’t bother to tell me that they couldn’t install it today he said “I’m going to walk away before I say something I shouldn’t.”Terrible customer service.
Dont get your trailer hitches installed at this location. I scheduled 3 weeks ago and the parts werent in today ( they didnt bother to call and tell me this until I got there) They offered to reschedule. I ended up just getting a refund and scheduling at a different location. The General mananger Jeff Ward is no help at all! He could care less about his customers! Im starting to think they dont even install hitches at their location. Luckily I got a refund.
Showed up for my scheduled appointment. Was told the part hadnt arrived. They didnt call to let me know this. Then I called everyday for 5 days to see when the part would be in. Kept being told to check back tomorrow. Called on the fifth day and the guy told me part wouldnt be in for 30 days.
The staff at this U-Haul location were especially knowledgeable and helpful. We had rented a car hauling trailer and discovered the the setup needed a higher hitch than was originally rented to us, once fully loaded. The young man from North Carolina was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely gave us great service! We also spoke with the manager who helpfully let us know they had hitch options on site and their hitch expert was on duty, and he definitely was! Thank you very much!
The experience was painless. They were having complications with another customer so it took us a little while to be assisted and get our questions answered. After resolving some confusion about our rental we were on our way. Returning was even easier–few pictures and a drop-off at the appointed time. Very painless.I would have liked some more time to discuss my questions, it was my first time driving a massive truck, after all.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is always really clean. The storage units are good if you dont have a whole lot of stuff to store, but enough if you have a room or two and need to store your furniture and stuff. And theyre well kept and clean.

We rented a small truck to take my daughters things back home to NH after she died. We were helped by one of the employees who goes by the nickname Ducky, who was so incredibly friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend this UHaul outlet for anyone who needs a truck rental in the Salt Lake City area.
I needed a car transport trailer to pick up a stranded car 1.5 hours north. Made the reservation 10 pm the night before and when I showed up the next morning they had everything ready to go. Aimee and Jeff were very polite and helpful and got me hitched up and on the road in 15 minutes or less. Highly recommend this location plus U-Haul has always rented me quality equipment. Great experience using them for a moving truck rental. The truck I drove was a 1999 and have near 190k miles. It was no Royals Royce by any means it was a hard drive, but I do not own a 28ft box truck so it was great to use. Very quick getting the truck and dropping it off. Thank you

Quick and easy to rent a car dolly so I could take my brother home after his car broke down.
The reservation and check out process was fast and smooth, and I was able to get what I needed. However, I did stop at the gas station at the bottom of 2600 and filled until the gas stopped before returning the truck. When I got there, they told me that I has not completely filled the truck back up with gas and there would be a charge. Not sure whether I got a defective gas pump of I was getting milked for an extra charge.
Staff at this Uhaul location is excellent! Will use this location even when the salt Lake location is more convenient. Brendon is especially helpful.
Booked my truck online a week in advance and when I came in after a signature and a few minutes wait for them to pull around the truck I was on my way. Brought it back and the return process was just as fast. Was helped by Jeff both times and it was a great experience. Would go back to rent again
Have rented there a few times, Good vehicle selection, cleaned well and solid condion. The staff is attentive, courteous and will go the extra mile. Overall good service, short wait, the vehicle was ready and the purpose accomplished. They earned a loyal customer.
Turned in equipment here from a one-way trip. The return was super fast and convenient, however, it was extremely suspicious. There was no paperwork done, no turn-in inspection, and I received no confirmation of my timely equipment return. A few days later I recieved an email and phone call from thier equipment recovery team stating that I still had the equipment rented. I had to take time out of my move to fix the situation, something that should not have happened in the first place.Not a reliable or trustworthy location. I will rent trailers from another location as long as I live here.****Edit as of June 2020******Changed from 1 Star to 4**Had to go to this location for a trailer when the other location was closed.Service was fast, despite technical trouble with thier system, which seems to be a problem at ALL Uhaul locations Ive been to.I turned in my equipment and was properly checked out and recieved immediate confirmation that I was good to go.Definite increase from my first experience.Will return.

I’ve rented from here a couple times and every time it is slow service. A lot of the time they don’t check in the trucks and you get charged because of it. Rent from somewhere else.
Made an appointment a week or two ago and when I showed up today they had no knowledge of the appointment, had no part I needed, and the guy that installs hitches was out for the week. Total waste of my time!
Ordered a hitch to be installed. Ending up having a miscommunication about installation date, and ended up just buying the hitch and installing ourselves. The manager worked to resolve the issue and am happy with what we walked away with.This location seems to be understaffed (Now Hiring sign on the door as of 6/27) but the manager does care about helping people. Would go back to again.

Horrible service, no regard for customers time and money. I set up an online appointment, I show up and I was told by the manager Jeff Ward that my appointment was actually set for tuesday at 11 am, even when I showed him my confirmation email saying it was today. He just said sorry I dont know what happened but Im all booked right now and we dont usually do installations on saturdays. I kept asking for times and if there was anything he could do to help and he just kept smirking saying he couldnt do anything until June because he was already booked for the rest of the month and was going on vacation, and only if he was able to get the parts on time. I just asked for my money back and left. Hope good old Jeff enjoys his vacation, because I certainly got mine ruined by not having a way to haul all my stuff now. It just blows my mind how they just changed things however they want to without telling the customer. You dont do that to anybody. Do things right and be honest from the beginning and communicate better.
Saved my bacon. When another U-Haul facility screwed me up by not having the equipment I needed on my reservation right before my move, these guys took care of everything, transferred the reservation, and actually did it with a smile the whole time. Highly recommend.
Actually I dont have a problem with this exact place its the regional manger that is there that i have a problem with. Good old Jeff Ward. What a piece of work he must be. I was promised a hitch would be installed on my van on a specific date however after calling the day prior to the install I was informed they changed my appt time to earlier in the day and THEY ALSO DIDNT EVEN HAVE MY HITCH, they had no way of knowing when it would be in. The reason that this is a big deal is that I needed the hitch to be installed by a certain date so that I could pick up a trailer that had to be retrieved on that date. After customer service said they would get me a truck with a hitch for a few hours, Jeff Ward said he would not do that. Way to go Jeff, step over a dollar to save a dime. Uhaul should send you packing. I will NEVER use uhaul again for anything. Outstanding customer service Jeffery!!!
