I highly recommend this little shop for watch battery replacement. I just brought 2 watches there and the saleswoman was very careful and efficient replacing both batteries, and even very pleasant to chat with while I waited. She even took the time to precisely reset the 3 tiny dials on my husbands dress watch in addition to the time, which would have taken me an hour to figure out. Much appreciated!!
DONT DO BUSINESS WITH GOLD USA. I would not recommend this store to anyone. GOLD USA is not a member of the BBB. Thats always a Red Flag. I didnt realize this until I had a problem with the store.2 years ago I took a bracelet to Gold USA to repair/glue a stone that had fallen out of my bracelet. My bracelet and the loose stone was placed inside a clear plastic baggie. I was given a receipt and told that a store employee would call me with a quote of the cost of my repair, for my approval, before beginning the repair. The store employee said that I should expect a call within 7 business days. When I didnt hear anything after 2 weeks I called the store to inquire about the cost of the repair. A very pleasant female employee told me that I should call back as the bracelet was now held at the Gold USA Jewelry store located in Waldorf, MD. I called her and sent text messages 4 or 5 times. She responded to my text messages and was always pleasant but never provided me with any definitive information about the status of my bracelet. After approximately 6 months, she finally admitted that my stone was somehow lost when it was sent to the Waldorf Gold USA store and that she gave me the run-around hoping that my stone would eventually be located. At that point she said that I would need to speak with the store owner, Ron, regarding the fact that my stone was lost. She asked me not to telephone Ron, the owner, until the following week (OUT OF RESPECT FOR RON) as he had family visiting from his country. I agreed not to call Ron until after his family visit ended (TO SHOW MY RESPECT FOR RON). I spoke to Ron, the store owner, 2 weeks later and he assured me that he could find the same stone on his next trip to New York and would complete the repair within two weeks. Ron, the store owner, gave me the run around for approximately 6 months or so as he was unable to locate a duplicate of my stone. I went back to the store with my receipt documenting the price I paid for the bracelet and a description of the stones that made up my bracelet. He apologized but again assured me that he was going back to New York and could easily buy a duplicate of my lost stone. On my last 2 visits to the store I told the owner that my bracelet is being sold on e-bay. I suggested that he buy the bracelet on eBay, remove the stone needed for my bracelet and then use another stone to sell the bracelet in his store. I gave him the link to purchase the bracelet on e-Bay. He agreed that was a good solution and that he would call me when he purchased the bracelet from e-Bay. Of course I never heard back from him. GoldUSA is not a member of the BBB (Better Business Bureau). Ive filed a Complaint with the Maryland Department of Consumer Affairs. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE FOR JEWELRY REPAIR or PURCHASES as they do not stand behind their work.
Fastest Watch Battery replacement I ever had. Less than 10mins and very courteous. I will be returning when I need batteries replaced in other watches.
Quick and inexpensive place to get you watch and jewelry fixed fast. Going back if I need them again.
