Brought my older client that has no family here to get an appraisal on her car as she no longer drives. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to her. The process was quick and the offer was more than she could have ever thought. If you are selling you should get the appraisal and it is good for a week if you need the time to decide!

Joe Z was great. Helped along the way and not overbearing. The car is good. Had a flat tire after two weeks. Looks like it was patched but buyers beware. CarMax didn’t let me know that. Not salesman fault.

Salesman Ken Tarasoff was fabulous and very patient. My wife had just been in an accident and her car was totaled causing us to look immediately for a replacement. We were NOT sure whether we wanted to get another Cadillac or look at some options. We considered the Lexus and found a gently used 2018 that was perfect for us. We liked that we could get extended warranty and have the car serviced at CarMax. It was an excellent experience.

CarMax was able to save me from my lease. Despite a contract, the manufacturers leasing company would not provide a buyout amount, and forced me to return to the dealer who refused to honor the residual value. They insisted the warranty wouldnt transfer to unless I paid thousands of dollars to them. Everyone at the Boynton Beach CarMax was professional, personable, conscientious, supportive, and friendly. They transferred and prepped a vehicle from another CarMax location for us to test drive. In the meantime, the business office terminated my lease and preserved significant equity. We made the exchange with ease and saved money on taxes. I will never retort to a dealership. CarMax is the best way to purchase a car.

Car shopping made easy

Going in the first time to get an offer was pretty easy and went quickly. They take a surface look at the car and mileage. Going back for the mechanical assessment that needs to be done when I was ready to accept the offer took much longer. I went at 10 am on a Monday, when it opened and there were quite a few people in the waiting room already, but for different things. Instead of the 35-45 minutes I was assured it would take, I was there for more than double that time, and I think I only got out when I did because I occasionally would ask someone about it. Actually completing the paperwork at the end took 5 minutes.

Joe was great to work with-- very kind and patient. He really listened to what I was looking for and offered several great options. While I didnt end up purchasing a car at CarMax, I highly suggest Joe to help with any car-buying needs.Michael called me before arriving at CarMax and he was also extremely helpful.

Because according to them if you do and something happens to the car they dont take full responsibility and blame the customer. Rudy explained how the process worked for getting an evaluation done on my vehicle. The gentleman who checked over the vehicle was very knowledgeable. The people in the customer service department explained everything right up to handling me back my license plates along with an envelope and the address of where to send the license plate back to. I would recommend CarMax if your looking to sell your vehicle. I received what I thought was fair and I know they got a good, low mileage vehicle at a price we both could agree on.

Here’s my reason for saying: CarMax is The Best!I left Juno Beach for my ten AM appointment. Got our baby washed and arrived 5 minutes early. After a brief intro, I was to meet the appraiser at our car. 10 minutes later that was done. Went back to the waiting room and within 5-10 minutes had my offer.I accepted it and waited another 15 minutes for my paperwork to be completed and waltzed out with my check!Thirty minute Uber ride to home...all in 2 1/2 hours!

Huge selection of cars and trucks and SUVs and what not to choose from but be ready for your traditional used car experience. Dont get me wrong the salespeople are friendly and willing to let your test drive, patient etc. But you want to be prepared to haggle a little bit or I think youll end up paying more than you should. Overall good spot though.

I bought a used car at the CarMax in Boynton Beach, FL in late January 2021 and had a great experience. I submitted my application online and was pre-approved by the next day. A representative from CarMax called me to explain how it all worked before I headed into the store to look at cars (I was told I could have done it online, and I did look a little, but I decided that I preferred to see all of my options up-close & in-person).Kenny T. was a great salesperson! He told us exactly where on the lot to look for the sorts of cars I was interested in looking at & asked if we wanted him to come along or not (I told him to enjoy the air conditioning, although it wasnt too awful outside). He gave me his card with cell# on it & said hed come running if we needed anything; one of the cars I was interested in (actually the one I ended up purchasing) wasnt unlocked, but he brought the keys out ASAP & answered the barrage of questions by father threw at him. I wasnt expecting to find a car that day, but Kenny did his job well & encouraged me to test drive the 3 vehicles I was trying to decide between.. before I knew it, I was driving my new vehicle home!I was very glad to avoid the price negotiation portion of the experience. This was my first time visiting a CarMax, so I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there were literally NO extra fees, the price on the window included all of it. I fully expected tax, tag, title, dealer, etc. fees to be added to the final price... but the price was the price!! (what a novel idea!)Obviously, Id seen the commercials, so I knew there was a no haggle guarantee, but I hadnt realized that the price on the window included EVERYTHING. I was ecstatic to learn the only additional cost was the extended warranty Id added. Haggling is absolutely the *worst* part of the car-buying experience for me.Kenny also handled my fathers unique sense of humor very well, that was very much appreciated, haha.As far as COVID/cleanliness: no real complaints, there were lots of hand sanitizers on tabletops, desks, near doorways, etc. I did bring my own hand sanitizer as you can never be too careful when you dont know who has been touching what out there on the car lot... but the cars that were unlocked seemed to be cleaned/sanitized each day & I believe they re-sanitize again upon purchase. I wasnt super-happy with the detailing / cleanliness of the windows, etc (hazy/dusty, not fingerprints) - but it was definitely well-vacuumed & the key touchpoints had certainly been sanitized. I honestly planned on giving the inside of the car a thorough cleaning no matter how clean they claimed the car was anyway (and thats on trust issues). I have included a picture of the Drive with Confidence placard that was in the car when I drove it home off the lot - this shows the over 15 key touchpoints on every vehicle.Clearly, Im a very happy customer - thank you, Kenny & CarMax!!

Great car buying experience last year.However, service is ... unavailable. needed an oil change. Arrived before 7:30 a.m. was first in line. Does not take walk- ins, even though NO ONE WAS THERE! Must schedule 2 weeks out!

Very, very slow process!! Not enough people working in service (business) area.Value they gave me for my car was acceptable and the inspection was pretty quick. After that the offer came back not too much longer. But after that it was very painfully slow - 2.5 plus hours for paper work & a check.

I had a great experience at Carmax (Boynton Beach). My salesman Steve couldn’t have been more accommodating & wasn’t pushy in the slightest. We had just come from a different dealership where the salesman was pushy & rude (and lost the sale because of it) so Steve at Carmax was a breath of fresh air. I initially bought a car but after a week it just wasn’t ‘me’ so I took it back & switched it for one I love! The process couldn’t have been easier, there was a good selection of cars & test driving as many as I wanted was no issue at all. If & when I want another car I won’t hesitate to go there again.

I highly recommend CarMax, and specifically the Boynton Beach location due to the outstanding service by Kenny and Akeel.Kenny was above and beyond helpful in not only getting me the car I wanted but also making sure that I was taken care of after my purchase. The Service Manager, Akeel, was able have my car repaired even after the actual BMW dealership could not figure out the problem.

I want to give a 5 star rating but I can not leave a seperate review for the mechanics within carmax. Overall the purchasing process was easy quick and very professional. I am completely satisfied with my purchase it has been a huge releif to have a newer stronger vehicle to help me get things done for my family. The only negative thing I would have to say is the mechanics looked over small things like a light out, windshield washer fluid and tred on tires were worn out. Thankfully everything was taken care of and I was ready to hit the road. As I said before as a disabled veteran who struggled for years to get into a vehicle, I am extremly happy with my purchase and the people who worked with me at CarMax to make the experience a great one. Life changing thank you.

I had a good experience selling my car to CarMax. Was a fast process, went smoothly, and they paid a fair price.However, they do not carry Teslas at all, so I am unable to purchase my next car from them. That is disappointing.

It was a fast and easy way to sell the car. The only issue I had was that on first inspection no one told me that the title paper I had was wrong. I had to pay an extra $93 for a paper title. This could have been avoided. I was in the process of moving and stored the box that probably has the right one in it. I am now in another state and cannot get the box, so I lost $93 on the deal. That could have been avoided if the clerk had given me proper information the first time.

Reserved truck for a test drive the truck was ready to go when we arrived,received an honest appraisal on the trade in, salesman was good at his job.The only reason the rating is a 4 star instead of 5, is the service department took forever to prep the vehicle (oil change) could have been more efficient in that part of the sale.
