I am a designer in Tampa and was lucky enough to run into Mark Monastiero in the UMI Tampa showroom with my clients, who were looking to redo their kitchen countertops and a bar top. Mark is unbelievably knowledgeable about all of the different products that UMI has and explained in detail to them the differences between quartzite, quartz, etc. He answered every question they had and my clients were beyond happy with their final selections! We ended up canceling our next stop, which was to be another stone distributor, because they were 100% sure of their choices at UMI.Mark was quite simply, the best!

I have to say that out of a lot of the stone yards I have visited UMI has the largest and best selection. There staff is very professional and the place is kept extremely clean and neat. I work with Suelen and Ethan on a normal basis and suggest all of my client to go there. I have seen it all as a Kitchen Designer and they by far #1 on my list. Highly recommend you check them out.

Very clean and professional atmosphere, I love that the front desk takes all the information needed before entering the showroom — that’s very efficient. I love that there are wagons to put your items in as you are shopping down the long isles. I was assisted by Eddie Ruiz who was polite, charismatic, helpful, and knowledgeable about the safety precautions about the warehouse and of the whereabouts of materials. Getting samples was a breeze, and he even went the extra mile to give me two pieces of a smaller sample in order to have a better idea of the texturing. Superb service. Thank you

Professional Team with an Endless amount of options including Solid Surfaces, Natural Stones & Porcelain. We specify a ton of Pompeii for our jobs at Leighton Design Group and Ethan is always making sure our Library is stocked with the new and pretty selections.

As a GC I go in often and have never had a issue. Plenty to choose from and they email me directly the selections made by my clients. Cleanest warehouse i have ever been in!

THE BEST place the work ever!I have since changed my opinion. I got spoken to twice in one day. Once because a customer was talking to me about farting and the second because I asked Yiri why she felt the need to rat me out instead of talking to me directly. I was in the hospital for DAYS and not one person bothered to check on me.

Great products. Terrible customer service. Worst building material purchasing experience of my life. There are many better places to buy your materials than UMI. I was not informed of very important details about buying vetrazzo (recycled glass product) at the beginning of my interaction with them. I was lied to, ignored and misinformed repeatedly. A simple purchase of a half slab of vetrazzo has been nothing but headaches because they dont tell you before you pay for the material that only certain certified companies can buy the product. IF you must have a product you can only get from them - start by asking them WHO can even get it, fabricate it and install it. Juan was the sales rep who bungled this purchase. check up front for list of approved fabricators.it will save you a lot of problems.

I’m not sure what happened to the others, but my wife and I couldn’t have had a better experience here. Karlton helped us for over an hour (actually, past closing) and was knowledgeable, forthcoming, polite, and patient; all the traits you need when searching for the linchpin of your homes decor. UMI is a long drive for us, but it was worth the effort. The facility is clean and well maintained, not to mention loaded with some of the prettiest slabs we’ve seen.

Renovating a home is an overwhelming process but with the help of both Karlton and Gil I was able to get fast and efficient service. Their overall knowledge of the products and materials sold, helped take some stress off my shoulders. Thank you UMI for excellent service and a promising team!

I was quite surprised with how rude the associate was who answered the phone. My cabinet maker/fabricator asked that I find a slab and have it delivered to his workshop, pointed me in a few directions, and I was on my way. Before UMI, I went to two different stone wholesalers and they were so friendly and accommodating. I was completely caught off guard by how annoyed, and then condescending, the woman was who answered the phone - I was simply trying to get information before driving 45 min to their location (information= requested availability of a specific slab, how quickly they could deliver, etc). She was so incredibly rude and condescending as she refused to answer any of my questions, even after I explained the arrangement me and my fabricator had. But then again, as I write this, I guess she gave me all the information I needed. Thank you for not wasting any more of my time - happy to take my money elsewhere.
