On 8/13/18 I took my leather boots for a zipper fix and was charges $52.97 for just one boot. I paid upfront since I was referred by several local people. I was asked to come back in a week, and I did. At that time I was told that the zipper needed to be replaced on the one boot, and he would need more time to order the proper zipper, and to come back in a week, so I did. This time he asked If I would like the handles to match? I said Of course and then I was told that he would call me to let me know when I could stop in to pick them up, and should be calling by end of week.On 11/15/18, Three months later, I just so happen to show up to ask if they were finally ready, and he replied I though you were out of the country (He must have just assumed, because I never once mentioned I was leaving anywhere). As you can see the zipper was ever properly fixed, nor replaced, but the handles on both boots were, and now the second boot zipper is broken. I Do Not recommend anyone to pay ahead for service, nor go to this Shop, its definitely over rated, over priced, and the wait is ridiculous!Catalina Enciso

I brought in a pair of Doc Martens, some Puma shoes, and a pair of slippers. The owner is an English bloke who knew exactly how to handle a pair of wayward Docs. He repaired my soles to good working order and let me know that the day they need replacing he gets the materials from Docs and can put them back to new.My Pumas were also fixed up right, and as for the slippers, he had the integrity to tell me to buy another pair rather than spend the money on mine since it really wouldnt be worth it, unless I had to keep them for some reason.Hes a great cobbler and anyone in town who needs or wants to repair their footwear instead of blowing money on always buying new should go to City Hall Shoe Repair.

Had a bad day, not proud of my actions, and the amazing owner did not hold it against me. Completely rebuilt my favorite leather loafers. A+++

If zero star was an option, i would give that to this man. Worst customer service i ever had. I was asked to come after a week and i went today after a week to get my 3 pairs of shoes. This guy spent a quite some time which was way longer than it should have been, to find my shoes. He came back 4 times with someone else’s shoes. I conveyed him the description of my shoes. When he could not find my shoes, he searched in the shoes which were not repaired and remarked “oh, it’s not done, you chose a bad day to come”. He started saying that he didn’t write to come after a week on the slip he has given to me. I said he asked me to. He started as if it was my mistake. Instead of saying hey, we are sorry or something, he showed me attitude. I took my shoes back, asked for refund and left the shop. The guy shouted at me in so high tone when i said “I am disappointed”. I won’t ever return to this place.

I have taken two pairs of shoes to Errol to get rubber soles applied within about a year and a half span. First pair was derbies from an avant-garde leather brand named Guidi.The shoes came with a rubber heel and front sole separate and although initially over the phone he said he wouldn’t be able to use other rubber sole brands, when I came in and showed him he instead offered me a cheaper price to place the ones on that I had.I got them roughly a week and a half later and they were applied nicely, rubber sole was not sticking out too much and was fairly flush with the mid part of the sole that wasn’t covered. He obviously sanded them down and did a good job that probably most shoe cobblers wouldn’t do since many people probably wouldn’t be too savvy to such issues.Probably a year later I brought in another pair, one which was fairly complex since it was a pair of tabi boots from Maison Margiela. I doubt he’s ever worked with a pair like this and still his experience shone through. We initially talked about only doing the front part of the soles since it already had a rubber heel to begin with. With this he charged me less since he was only doing a half bottom.When I came to get them (about a month later since he was backed up in other orders coming back from vacation), he ended up applying a rubber sole all the way to the heel, I assume because it wasn’t turning out quite the way he wanted it to and instead wanted to do a proper job. He didn’t charge me extra for the difference, and again made the sole very flush with the bottom/heel. These were a hard pair to do properly, honestly, and he managed to do it and keep it extremely thin to make sure they stayed light and flexible. The tabi toe area was also done great and he cut it fairly well to keep it sleek looking still.If you want someone experienced who can tackle any job, go here. He tends to be very busy though so don’t expect him to get it done quickly, you need to decide if it’s worth the wait. But if it isn’t worth the wait, why go to a shoe cobbler, really? Patience is a virtue and it’s worth the wait, trust me. Will be coming back here in the future.

I had an accident that crushed my right foot and needed 15+ pairs of shoes stretched,in a certain way, to accommodate my altered foot.Errol, adjusted those shoes time and again until they were perfect and he insisted on charging me only for the initial stretch. A Gentleman a craftsman and great conversation to Boot (pun intended)..........By the way its worth getting your shoes fixed just to visit, The Sugar Cubed, next door for a Coffee and MouthWatering Baked Goods; you will thank me.
