Im out of town and needed some help with my hearing aids. I sent a message to Ascent and Kristin called me within 30 minutes. Ive had the pleasure of having Kristen be my audiologist for close to 20 years. She has one everything possible to get me the best hearing aids for my profound hearing loss. As my hearing worsened after being abused in the late 60s, I decided it was time to do something about it. My evaluation at Ascent Audiology went smoothly and Kristen clearly explained various options to address my hearing loss. Ive now been wearing hearing aids for about 10 days, and the before and after difference really is amazing. Conversations are clearer and easier to follow and I now hear sounds-especially higher pitch sounds-I havent heard for years (e.g., cicadas, the timer buzzer on the stove, birds, and other subtle tones). I was quite apprehensive about wearing hearing aids, but the experience has been positive and Im very glad Ive made the decision to take steps to improve my hearing.

I took my 91 year old father to Ascent audiology and I want you all to know Kristin was exceptional !!!!!She took her time and walked him through the complete process from trying to communicate with someone who can barely hear to the finishing touches on his new hearing aids. When I called to make an appointment and asked if they were taking new patients, Jessica said they were however, they were booked 2 weeks out. I shared my plight with her and within minutes, she was able to squeezed me in to see Dr. DesErmia. Jessica was kind and attentive and thorough while collecting information. Today 10/6/2020 was my first time meeting Dr. Kristin DesErmia. She and her assistant did a complete and comprehensive exam. I am truly happy I found a Dr. who is compassionate about what she does and has the same compassion for her patients. My husband needed a hearing device after the second year of hearing tests. Both of us were ignorant about effective devices and were very concerned that the devices wouldn’t work well. We were absolutely impressed by Kristen and her professionalism and knowledge. She is the kindest person and she knows what she is doing! We purchased the devices for my husband and it has made wonderful changes in his life! He now fully engages in social situations because he can hear clearly! And he has had no difficulty whatsoever with them. They are virtually invisible and easy for him to insert and adjust. My husband has Parkinson’s Disease so this is extraordinary!

My family said they thought I needed hearing aids. I contacted Ascent and got an immediate appointment. Kristen was absolutely wonderful. Jessica in the front office, couldn’t have been kinder. The young lady working on her doctorate was patient, kind and explained everything clearly. When the test was over, Kristen showed me the computer generated results. What a great place to go! Very professional and thorough office, the Doctor fixed my Moms hearing aids and also tested them. We were impressed at the difference in her hearing and very glad we found Ascent, they really helped us!
