Im a car guy - type and have too many automobiles for a reasonably sane person. Two of them are tagged as antique...one of them is almost eligible. Think antique Porsche and a C-10 - to a diesel pickup. Then there are our daily drivers of late model automobiles - Infiniti and Audi. Ive tried out most every mechanic organization in the area. St. Josephs is very tough to beat for quality of work (very few returns), price, and timeliness. When I first used them for a repair I sent my wife in (I knew what was wrong and a reasonable cost of repair). Women can get a bad deal with many mechanics. Not only did St. Josephs correctly diagnose the issue and quoted a better price than I expected, they also showed her a more inexpensive and competent way to do the repairs than I had considered. Of course, there have been a couple of issues with our late model daily drivers that were clearly dealer-repair issues. They were not the least bit reticent about referring us to the dealership rather than trying to keep the work for themselves. So the short of it is, I just dont take my automobiles anywhere else for oil changes, maintenance, and repairs...older antique models and recent models.

I have taken a few of my cars to this mechanic for a few years now and had excellent customer service every time!!. Joe, the owner has always been very reasonable and fair with pricing! This last time I went he fixed all the issues that needed to be done for the same price the Jeep dealership quoted me for one repair!! He took my car in and had it finished the same day. He stayed late one Friday night past office hours to fix my Jeep and personally dropped off my vehicle later that night. To make sure I had my car for the weekend! I was beyond happy and grateful!! I personally recommend this mechanic shop!

This is my first time at St. Josephs Automotive and it was due to my AC not cooling. I had a walk-in and the mechanic within an hour found out that the Freon gas was leaking through the condenser. He even walked me inside, so I can see where the leak was happening. I got a reasonable quote on parts and labor. Now my AC is cooling perfectly. This shop is an honest, dependable automotive repair shop.

Very thorough shop. Repairs done quick and right. Price given up front. Jo knows his stuff. If he finds an issue with your vehicle he will invite you down and show you exactly what he found. Even lifted my son’s 2004 Saturn up and showed me that it was in great condition! Pointing out no rust, wear and tear. Installed brakes, tires and suspension...wheel alignment and oil change. 16 year old car round and rides great. Found a leak on my F-150 and emailed me pictures as I could not get to garage. Apparently, my model and year F-150 is prone to this oil leak and he knew to look fit it. Quality work and honest.

Serviced my Ram Promaster which had the Rocker Arm issue that most 3. 6 Pentastar Engines have (thanks Ram for poor engineering...), let me know when they had the camshafts removed so I could be the one to decide if they needed to be replaced. Gave professional opinion and told me pros and cons of replacing now vs waiting for an issue. Met all time commitments promised and had no issues. Hoping to not visit soon :) but if I do I know they will provide exceptional service.

My engine got flooded due to heavy rain with gigantic puddles and my car having a cold air intake. Stucked water up and flooded it. My boyfriend researched which auto body shop to get it towed to. He choose St. Josephs Automotive and boy did he choose right!! They dont have a 4.9 star rating on Google for nothing!! Its all real, they have integrity and quality work.Jo was the person that oversaw the work of my car from beginning to end, he was very helpful, kept in touch and communicated with us, an honest person(was never out for my money). Jo and his team truly care about what they do and it shows in their work. They definitely helped me save some money. Since the engine and transmission was taken out and was being replaced with a newer one he also checked everything else that needed done. My manual transmissions clutch was bad so he also went ahead and got all that fixed with my approval. Also gave me advice with whatever else needed to be taken care of outside of this job.My car took longer than expected to fix due to my car being modified(different computer system, different harness system for things connected to the old engine didnt match up with the newer one) by the previous owner so we ran into a lot of problems. Even with all the obstacles that were presented they worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect, diagnostics and all. I would recommend them a 100 times over. This is where Ill be taking all my car work from now on.Thank you everyone at St. Josephs Automotive!!

Really great staff. I had what they called the death wobble. The guys at Christian automotive worked until the problem was fixed. They rebuilt my whole front end suspension. First place out of many places that Ive been too that actually fixed the problem and not just charged me an arm and a leg for a bandaid.

Wont get my business. I needed a simple tire patch. The guys at the desk barely spoke English and wanted $25+, but didnt know where their mechanic was to do it. Just said come back later, maybe hell be here. FYI - got tire patched at shop across the street, 40 feet away. That shop was fast and for way less $$, great service next door.

Great service! After several weeks of a frustrating electrical issue, I sent my Toyota Land Cruiser to St Josephs. They were quick and communicative, and although we had challenges with obtaining parts (25 year old car), the owner Jo came in on a Sunday to make sure I was back on the road quickly. I had a very good experience taking my jeep to St Josephs. My air conditioning was really messed up and one day after work I just pulled in there to see about making an appointment to have them look at it. It was late in the day and Jo said if I wanted to leave it with them they would look at it that afternoon and work on it first thing in the morning. His wife gave me a ride home and an hour or so later Jo called me and then emailed a quote for the repair. The pricing is the only part that I cant attest to if the price was low, fair or high, but my gut feeling told me that, even though it was a lot of money to me, the price was accurate for the problem. I feel it was probably fair. I base this trust on that they seem to be honest people and their service was excellent!! And also based on the reviews I read here. Which is why I am making a point to write a review myself and pay it forward. As a woman shopping for an honest mechanic I feel I can point other women here in good faith. Their head mechanic (I assumed), Bill, came out and showed me my old part and explained everything to me. He really seems to know his profession! All together, a very good experience.

I would just like to share an experience that my mom had being a first time customer. My mom went in with a serious leak in her gas tank. Brandon Auto Works in Brandon wouldn’t even address the issue when my mom brought her concern to them prior to Joe and Noah at St. Joseph’s Automotive. Joe took 3 hours to assess my mom’s car. Upon returning, Joe showed my mom where the leak was coming from and a few other issues he found. We had an opportunity to meet Noah, an extremely well qualified mechanic with years of experience and special certifications in areas such as GM cars. My mom’s car just happened to be a GM car. Noah spent at least 20 minutes explaining how or why something like that leak occurs. I knew we were in good hands when Noah said he wouldn’t work for anyone else. They kept the car overnight and completed it the next day. Joe went as far as showing my mom the broken part, the box the new part came in he ordered and ensured a new gas cap was placed on her car. My mom is not car savvy. Neither am I, however I find I am good judge of character and definitely would recommend Joe and his team anywhere or anytime! Thank you Joe and Noah for caring about the small guy!! You will never know just how far that goes!!

I have going to St. Josephs Auto Repair, for many years, you get excellent service, the owner is a great honest man. His mechanic are very also are awesome at there job. I must say that it is hard to find a honest and when I say honest I mean it, I know that I am getting great service. I never have to worry about taking my car to Joe @ St Josephs, because I know he will look out for me. My car is a German car and everything is expensive to repair, but Joe never takes advantage of that. Great place to go if you need a mechanic. Really!

Not a fan of this place. Im sure they do good work, BUT its the type of place that would try to rebuild your whole car to fix one issue. The work done is good, but I like to hear honest information about what is wrong with the car not coming up with 100 things to fix when I only came in to get a specific issue fixed.
