Love the fresh meats! I love to cook and a close friend told me about this location and I loved it! Definitely my new to go market for meats and fresh Spanish produce!

The meat here has more flavor than most of the places I pick up my meat. In the price of the meat here is very reasonable. Its even cheaper than Publix meats. But I still love everything else at Publixs.This place is kept very clean and it should be because its a meat joint /grocery store. It strongly smells of cleaner. It has what I consider to be good prices. I tried to Make sure the prices were visible in all the pictures as best I could while shopping with my family. The 2 girls behind the Cash register Seem very interested in gossiping between the 2 of them rather than helping the customers. I honestly think theyre gossiping about each and every one of us that come in. Because every time a person walked in they would make side comments to one another while looking at that person.They made me feel uncomfortable. I always explain to people that Im a Google guide and I dont think they cared. They just said Uh huh okay And went back to gossiping and staring at people talking about them. But if you bypass the 2 rude cash register girls all the other staff is great 👍.This is a local owned family Business. The 2 rude young ladies are employees. My husband looked it up and the family that owns this place worked inside cutting the meat skillfully. They are Behind a see through shield so you as a customer can see them cut the meat if you want to.So when I review a place I tried to take everything into consideration. The quality of the product. Which the stake we purchased was very good and we cooked it up right away. Very flavourful in all the right ways.Only 2 out of all the employees were rude. I only point this out so that the owners can talk to them about their customer service.Besides The 2 girls everything else was good so Im giving this place four stars 🌟.Heads up for Google map people.All of the pictures 📷 below are mine and were taken by me. I’m not the person to complaint but this crema de maíz they have it in the shell for $2.79.. at the register it did not scan, cashier asked me how much you saw I said $2.79 or something. Well she asked the lady behind the lotto/med counter and I told her it’s right there in the cereal line.. well no she did not checked and said it’s $2.99 in the grocery side.. I said wait I thought it’s $2.79.. I was ignore my self still paid well I can be wrong .. I went to check and i was right $2.79 yet I told the cashier I said it right it’s $2.79 and her lazy self wouldn’t go and check.. but cashier said no word.. come one people If you not in a rush check your prices, when they don’t scan, they won’t listen to you they would answer what ever sounds right in their mind. I had no time to fight for 20 cent but I hated that she did not listen to me. ..

Great prices and very nice people

We were inquiring about fresh oysters, they said that they had them, when we arrived to get them, they had no idea what we talking about, the only good thing was the fresh cuban bread.

First visit here, and Im super impressed!Ive been to several meat stores in the area, and was pleasantly to find this one much cleaner and roomier than others. The produce all looked fresh and well stocked, and prices were very good. The dry grocery area wasnt huge, but has all the basics; there wasnt anything I needed that I couldnt find.The focus, of course, is on the meat. Everything, both in the trays and at the meat counter, looked super fresh. The fridge case was nice and clean— no leaky packaging or mystery juice anywhere. Folks at the meat counter were super helpful and worked quickly, so even though it was a busy day no one had to wait long.Overall, I couldnt be happier with the store or my experience. This is going into my (very) short list of must-visit stores for the weekly shopping run.

The fruits and vegetables were CLEANED and organized. The meat was packed for normal size families. The employees were very nice and helpful. It smelled FRESH and looked fresh. I love this place. All this food for 111$ !!!

Its a mom and pop family market. It is challenged by all the larger grocery markets like Publix and Walmart in the area. For instance I need orange juice and apple juice for my kids but the did not have stocked in smaller sippy sizes. On the positive side they do have a nice old fashioned meat market. I found rabbit and quale today and served the rabbit with biscuits and mushroom gravy for dinner today. The quale is for another day. Happy eating!

Brandon Meats and Market is a once a week stop for me, if not more. Quality meats and fresh veggies at a low price. Stick with chain stores if you want to overpay for your proteins and vitamins. Go to BM&M if you want great quality, low prices and friendly customer service. If I could give 6 stars, I would!!

Their butchers are always very friendly theyll prepare you meats the exact way you want it with no issue. Cashiers are also very helpful. Theyll stop whatever they are doing to help you find a product. The Store is very clean smells sanitized and staff are very friendly

I did not have a pleasant shopping experience . I went to buy sweet potatoes to make a pie. They had a sign posted $0.59 a pound sweet potatoes. Then there was a another potato like vegetable for 99 cents a pound. And then the jumbo sweet potatoes for $0.79 a pound. I looked them over and I decided I preferred the regular sized sweet potatoes for $0.59 a pound. I took my time and sorted through the regular sized sweet potatoes, to find the best looking and the largest they had for $0.59 a pound. After picking up couple of other items, I went to the cash register to pay for my items. I looked and saw that my sweet potatoes were ringing up at 79 cents a pound and it said jumbo sweet potatoes. So I pointed it out, to the cashier, those were not jumbo sweet potatoes. I had selected them from the regular sweet potatoes and they are regular sized sweet potatoes for $0.59 a pound. So the young lady started to speak in Spanish to whom I can only presume was her supervisor who came over to the register and said yes those are jumbo sweet potatoes. I told the lady I would be more than glad to show her where I found the sweet potatoes and show her the difference between a regular sized sweet potatoes and jumbo sized sweet potatoes. I walked over pointed them out to her held up a jumbo size and a regular size. She walked off quickly and told the cashier she needs to change the signs because its confusing people and that they should all be $0.79 a pound. I told her that would not be a good idea since many of the regular size sweet potatoes are very small. It took me a while to pick through them to find an average sized sweet potato. So she said, to the cashier, Just give it to her for $0.59 a pound. As if she was doing me a favor and that I was telling a lie. Even after I had shown shown her the difference in the size of the potatoes. She walked off. I did tell the cashier I felt offended. I paid for my goods and I left. Is small but have a lot of product, vegetables and meats

Shopped here on Thurs the 21st. Got done fun finds hard to find elsewhere.(hello pineapple wafer cookies) Also we picked up lunch from the hot food bar. My husband got the beef paillard with 2 sides. The beef had good flavor, could have been more tender, but yummy still. Rice and beans were honestly delicious; it was hard to stop eating those. It was enough good for 2 meals, $7. I got a pastrami and swiss sandwich pressed. It was very good as well.

They had some of our difficult to find products. Canned Tomatillos, and some other things. I was in and out quickly and the staff were very friendly. Awesome. We will definitely start using this place regularly.

Good small food/market. Butcher and deli, lots of fresh produce and many dry goods in large quantities. People are always nice and friendly.

You have to really watch this place! They will advertise things that are on sale in the store, but that will seldom be the price you will pay, at the cash register. This has happened to me so many times that it almost seems like part of the plan. I have told them about this several times, they apologize, but never fix the problem. Outside of that, this is a good place, with the best meat and fresh vegetable prices around, and great deals on Deli Meats/Cheeses. Just watch your sales receipt very carefully, to be sure you paid the sale price.

Came to this spot Saturday for some picanha. The selection they had in the trays were small, dark and ugly. Went to the back to see with the butcher if they had any other and guy says oh yeah I got a big piece back here, but I cant cant it up in steaks for you.I said its fine that I would take it anyways. He grabs it, puts it in a bag, weighs in, slaps the price on and hands It over.I get home, rip the bag ope and go to prepare it... NOT PICANHA! Took 3 hours in the oven to make and it was finally done, tasted horrible. Horrible quality steak.Make sure you visually check the food you buy before you buy it, dont take their word for it like i did.

At first I was amazed by the prices, but then after shopping here religiously for months I realized that you pay for what you get here. It’s truly hit or miss. For me way more miss than hit. I unknowingly purchased rancid meat on more than one occasion. After the third time of getting soured chicken I’m heading back to Walmart. Also, I miss the old butcher. He was way friendlier...

This place here the Brandon meat markets they really dont care about you I left a bag of liquor here on accident and I came back and they wont even check the 📷 and they dont even want to tell me what happened to my bag of liquor from 2 days ago they are a bunch of lying thieves and overpriced. 0 customer service. The worst thing I hate is people that lie to me because the cashier that I took a picture of is the one that see my liquor I left my liquor bottle right by her so whenever you see her dont trust her

If you DO NOT trust me WHY would I trust you with my bag? Customer service is really bad. Ive been in this store several times and have never been asked to surrender my personal belonging(s). I did not see sign(s) posted in front window at entrance. You have lost a customer.

I just went into this store and was screamed at by two cashiers for not wearing a mask. I have a medical condition and I cannot wear a mask. I tried to explain to them that I was exempt from the mandatory mask mandate and they didn’t care and kept yelling at me that I needed to wear one. Apparently they don’t care about the American Disabilities Act and denying service to disabled people. I will never again shop here and if you’re disabled be warned, you’ll likely receive the same treatment.

I like this place. Especially the deli because its cheaper meat by the pound. And lots of cheaper prices on the fresh veggies.

Fix the deli and Ill fix my rating. Went in to get a sandwich and was told it was going to take 10 minutes because the press needed to heat up I told him to not press it and he said it was still going to take the same amount of time.

Goat meat is cheaper. But the taste and freshness when you cook is not the best. It does not taste like goat after cooking. Been eating goat whole my life but goat meat here is not the same.BUT ITS CHEAP AF though.

I would not recommend Brandon Meats & Market. My husband and I are new to the area and were looking for a great butcher shop. We walked in and were immediately disgusted by how dirty the store was. We glanced at the vegetables and meat department, and questioned the quality and freshness. We decided not to purchase anything from there.

For two weeks in a row I have shopped at the store in Brandon. Each time I am up charged on sale price items and charged extra for items I did not purchase you need to watch your total and look at your bill before you pay because sometimes what they do is just overcharge from the sale price and other times add items to your list. Just a heads up to look at your bill before you pay and I will not be shopping there anymore I hope everybody has a better experience than I did.

Always have an issue with the bread, too early or we did a few and is over already and is 11:00am reallyyyy like today. No more of lying, Client lost.

Every time I come they seem to always have ran out of ground beef. They aren’t really big on customer service. Today I decided I would try them again I arrived before 6pm but because it was pouring down ran I took a little time to try and find my umbrella at 6:01 they wouldn’t even let me in but it’s ok I just won’t come back.

This is one of my favorite grocery stores. The prices are unbeatable and the quality of the food is fresh. Produce. Meat. Etc. Plus they also sell hot food to go as well... I come here alot

Best place to get meat!!!

Went to the first check out line and a woman points us to go to the next line as we enter the other line the other cashier is cleaning her conveyer belt and and register area and didnt even agnolage our presence I also noticed the cashier is still in the first line so I ask my daughter why did we have to go to the other line so the cashier in the second line asked what happened and I was explaining it to her and the first cashier interrupts me in Spanish to say I was waiting on someone else. I said in Spanish there should not be preferences between customers and she screamed back at me you have to understand she had to go and get something else. When I asked the cashier in the second line where the manager was she got attitude and pointed at herself. This is the worst customer service I have ever received in this place. We just moved to Brandon and were excited to do business with this market but if this is the service we can expect we may have to go elsewhere.

Great store, not expensive good selection of foods and a great selection of meats as well as great prices for the meat. Its worth the trip just for the price of the meat.

This place has some great meats and good prices. However this is the second time Ive stopped by an hour after theyve open and their meat department in the back isnt up and running. Today I stopped by over an hour after open and they were back there cleaning the meat cases etc. So youre not able to get the great deals on hamburger, chicken etc. Only their small selection of pre wrapped meats etc are available. Dont understand why they start cleaning etc when the store opens. You should be up and ready to sell at open.

Went in today around 2pm asked for 2 lb sliced roast beef. He sliced all he had around 1.25lb. Also bought the fresh bread they offer. When i opened around 6pm the meat was sour. Called the store and they insisted i have a receipt. I went back and was helped by a young lady with long hair. She brought me to the deli manager which confirmed meat was bad. I obviously couldnt get a refund so i asked for different deli meat from the manager. He said i could get anything from store but deli and meat. I am so frustrated. I have been coming here for my meats. Not just deli but, the ribeyes were awsome. I have shared this market with numerous people that i work with. Our company which employees thousands is based on customer service. I will now pay a higher price but, get customer service.

Upon reading the rave reviews, I decided to stop in here with my husband for a few items--over our usual grocery place. They did have an impressive produce selection and very competitive prices, but my positive feedback ends there. It seems to be very run down, dirty, and I was not impressed with the meat. Most of it didnt look very good and the other packs were leaking (how sanitary). There was a strange smell near the seafood that immediately made my stomach turn. It was a mix of fishy odor and a busted sewage line. As a general rule, fresh fish is not supposed to smell fishy and Im not sure why the sewage smell was present. We speculated a toilet may have been backed up. At any rate, we left without buying anything and feeling a bit nauseous. I was disappointed about my experience there after reading such positive feedback, but I dont think Ill be coming back.

They ground down the pork chops and steaks we bought. Then they ground them together. We asked if they sold sausage casings. They didnt, but the butcher gave us about 6 ft of the casings. We went home and made wonderful sausages. They have excellent meats and groceries all the way around... Period...!!!!
