I visited this location this afternoon. While a cashier (Tony) was attempting to assist me, his manager, Shirley, began yelling at him from across the store to come to see her. He continued his attempt to assist me, while Shirley began insisting that he stop what he was doing to go to her, saying I am your manager, come over here now. Tony became visibly flustered and struggled to complete the task at hand. I explained to Shirley that he was simply trying to assist me, but that did not seem to matter to her. I then canceled my transaction and left the store. Shirleys demeanor was rude, discourteous, and unprofessional. With CVS right across the street and another Walgreens right down the street, I see no reason to continue visiting this store. I am appalled by Shirleys disrespectful and condescending behavior. Based solely on this interaction, I do not believe Shirley should be managing people. I am not at all surprised to see such poor reviews on Google about this location. Shameful...
Update: It is 330 on a Thursday May 5, and as you guessed it, the pharmacy is closed again ! I am finding another pharmacy. This place just needs to close. They are of no help. God help you if you actually need help or have chronic pain. This is the worst Walgreens I have ever been to . At 430 on a Tuesday the pharmacy is closed . What is going on at this location??! You’d think there would be an update on the site or something saying this location is closed for the day? With the way it’s been going, it’ll be closed for more then a day I bet . It’s also closed on the weekends now. Ever since they changed pharmacists, this place has gone downhill. Don’t try to call, you will be on hold an hour and they will hang up on you.The front end of store is no better. They frequently run out of bags, and give attitude when you ask for one. The cashiers are slower then molasses, and never call for backup cashier to ring . They are snarky and rude when you ask a simple question. I’ve been coming to this pharmacy 12 years and I’m surprised they are still in business at this location after the last 3 years. Definitely changing pharmacies.Walgreens corporate needs to come fix this place asap !!!
This Pharmacy is by far the worse, pharmacy, retail store, business I have ever encountered! I have been using Walgreens for 25 years! When I moved to Branford I was so happy the pharmacy is literally 2 miles from house! Much to my dismay, my experience with them has been horrible! In the beginning it wasn’t great but do-able. Over the last 2 years, I do not think I’ve gotten myprescriptions right or without a delay, or without some problem. the wait in line both inside and out is crazy! Well over a hour every time! The employee turn over high. But recently!!!! It is insane!!!!! You wait in line for hours not just an hour! The scrips are never ready. One of my Dr’s electronics my scripts, he has had to do it at least two or three times every month because they say they don’t get it! They actually told me my Dr never prescribed this medicine to me! I’ve been taking it for 5 years! BY the same Dr! When I called my Dr I was told the pharmacy never called them and they called it in for me. I had to go back for this last script 7 times!!!!! I could go on and on with this, but I’d be writing a book!Definitely changing pharmacies! Up to my eye balls ++++! Good luck if choose them! I’m done!!!!
I moved to Branford 5 years ago, I started using the pharmacy at this Walgreens. Pleasant experience always. This past 2 to 3 months NOTHING but problems!! Now their closed on week ends!! The worst pharmacy I ever experienced, the do NOT answer their phones, put on hold for 15 mins then hangs up on you. Wait in the drive-thru for at least 25 mins with about 7 other cars at 35 mins before closing with them NOT servicing ANY cars close the window!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE
Since the new pharmacist has started it has gone down hill drastically. Between scheduling my wife, daughter, and I to get our flu shots for 3:50pm...walked out of the store at almost 6pm. Or the fact that the staff has no motivation to do their jobs. I shouldnt have to wait for a prescription to be filled, that was suppose to be done the day before. That has happened on multiple occasions. I am really dissatisfied with the service recently. Not to mention the fact, no one works in the pharmacy during the weekend any more. WAY TO BE LAZY!!!!!!!
This Walgreens is a management nightmare. The pharmacy is mis managed. The past 3 time I have been there they have been closed during regular hours. I waited an hour to simply pick up a prescription that was already assembled. When I then went to the front to check out with som incidentals the clerk walked away as I approached the counter. She went outside for a couple of minutes then returned. There is no atmosphere of customer service, only curt responses with imperious attitudes and no eye contact. Corporate really needs to spend some quality time at this site.
This pharmacy is terrible. If I could give it zero stars I would. Several times I have received a call saying my prescription is ready, only to go to the pharmacy and discover it is not. The least amount of time I have ever waited was 45 minutes, entirely too long for a prescription I was told was already filled. It is also nearly impossible to reach them by phone. Several times I have called, waited and been hung up on after an hour or more. The staff is friendly, but that doesn’t make up for the horrendous wait times and general lack of organization.
Ive been trying to give these guys the benefit of the doubt since COVID has been a huge hit on the pharmaceutical industry in general and the holidays are even more insane, but I hit my limit with this location. The doctor put in for my refill a week ago (before Thanksgiving), and then again after when they said they hadnt gotten it, I called them directly. At first they told me the doctor had never put it in, but after some pressing it turned out that they hadnt checked their voicemail in six days -- the refill request was there.Even after that, when I arrived two hours later to pick up the prescription, it wasnt ready and they tried to tell me it didnt exist. No one had had time to put in the system, apparently! I get being overworked and understaffed, Ive been there in my own jobs, but to just turn people away without even checking was alarming to me.Im lucky in that I did ultimately get my prescription, but it took more advocating for myself than Id like. How many people just got turned away because no one checked the voicemail? Im looking into other pharmacies.
Extremely anxious about needles. They didnt care at all about making me wait an hour after my scheduled time, gave me a hard time about my insurance card ( which is the card I used for my first shot and all the time at CVS), and the pharmacist who administered the shot had no bed side manner-said not one word to me. If youre going into a field working with the public ... do better.
They are slow and incompetent. Ive gone here for years they were amazing. Since they changed the pharmacist they have messed up all of our prescriptions and they are extremely slow . I get there and theres is only two people in line I still have to wait 20 minutes for pick up. If you call in you wait 20 minutes just to get hung up on and this has been for months now. Never again
UNBELIEVABLE..What is going on?. The Rx aspect, a 100+ year institution has reached such depths of service.I really cant believe how they have declined regardingcustomer service, ease of refilling prescriptions, and overall lack of concern and action regarding field and corporate management .BRING BACK!!! the previous Rx Manager and let him bring the department back to your Core Values.
Their systems literally go down all the time, the last 5 times Ive gone they havent been able to accept any payment.
The worst customer service EVER!!! I have been trying to call to cancel an appointment for two days and they just keep putting me on hold, no one will even say a word, they just let it ring and then automatically put me back on hold again. Its ridiculous, something that only takes a minute for me to say is impossible! I will never deal with them again, avoid them if you can.
Went to drop off a Fedex package and asked kindly if they had a packing label sleeve. The shift supervisor named Shirley said Absolutely not and you should know better. She then continued to scold me. She also told me she was mad because I interupted something personal. An accusation instead of an apology. Completely unprofessional and uncalled for.
Sends me texts all week long but somehow cant initiate a message to let me know they are changing hours to be closed on weekends entirely. This might be a good use of the app and texting permissions.
They are so under staffed its painful. Had gone here twice 3 times for covid test. Each time a min. wait in drive thru of 45 minutes. And with the cost of gas other locations are too far from home.
To confusing for providers to call in to the correct location. I remind every doctor and they still can’t figure it out because I think the locations populate automatically in their systems. That said Walgreens needs to implement a better customer service strategy and clarify with providers when they call scrips. If Pacileos pizza reminds people on the phone when they call their locations, why is this n issue at a pharmacy.
After a long day at urgent care for my husband who is being treated for phenomena in his chest, I went to Walgreen to get his scripts filled the one he needed the most was more than I had. The pharmacist covered the difference out of his own pocket. I was and am still so grateful. I will pay him back but honesty it was wonderful to know we still can look out for each other always.
The reason I love Walgreens is because it’s a combination of both life style products and pharmacy. You can’t miss it in Walgreens. Like a one stop shop for everything except groceries. There’s a wheelchair accessible parking and entrance and can also be easily noticed from a vehicle in normal traffic. The workers are also very polite and courteous.
Fair warning, they don’t answer phone calls. Tried back three times, 30 minutes each time, and they just hung up on me before ever taking my call.
Pharmacy Drive-thru is horrible. I came here twice this week and waiting times exceeded 20 minutes. Its almost as of the pharmacists purposely ignore you. Switching locations.
We just came clicking a 2X2 picture for my friend’s official document. The lady didn’t crop off the background properly and happened to cut his earlobes on the picture. When told so, she answered “That’s how your ear is”. She was very rude with zero customer interaction. While clicking the picture too, she was busy joking around with her colleagues.
The best, most courteous u0026 efficient Walgreens in the area!! Both pharmacy u0026 store staff very knowledgeable and if they dont know- they WILL find out for you instead of the typical, I dont know RESPONSE at most chain pharmacies like this!!
