Great every time i come here the food is always nice and fresh the service is outstanding very friendly staff

Steak and eggs with hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were not as good as they used to be, but the french toast was huge. Good meal overall.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. The wait staff were very attentive and pleasant. Since this was my first experience here, I certainly plan to return very soon.

As frequent diners we for the most part overlooked the staff that veered more on the side of miserable for a decent meal at decent prices, stay away from the desserts though. We are tea drinkers that like our tea strong and have always requested a double teabag this has never been an issue in the past year. The waitress tonight chose to charge us for 4 teas...$10 for tea, Really My partner mentioned it to the owner who said it counts as 4 teas and refused to change the bill...that is pretty sad customer service, on top of the zombie like misery already acting as staff. Tonight will be the last time we will eat at this diner.

The food was fantastic! I loved the Rhode Island clam chowder. The baked meatloaf sandwich was full of light well spiced beef. I would highly recommend this place.

I want to start off by saying the staff has horrible customer service. All the waiters/waitresses have a disgusting attitude. Two of the waitresses and a waiter looked at me in my face and turned their head. I got a waitress attention so I can order take out, she gave me attitude because I asked if they have a breakfast special and said “all of our breakfasts have eggs and potatoes” then pushed a menu at me and walked away. I will never come back to this extremely rude place. This isn’t my first bad experience here either. I do not recommend this place to anyone.It was today 9/23 at 9:30am

Normally I have enjoyed this diner. I know the pandemic has hurt many food establishments. This diner has always had older help waiting tables and they have been generally very good. However my last 5 visits have not been good. The staff and it’s been the same people have given us terrible service. We have to wait while they have conversed with other guest socializing ignoring that we needed to be waited on. Then when they did wait on us they acted if we were inconveniencing them. This happen the last several times when I was there with family and also with colleagues. This last visit was the worst. The waitress was rude and charged me “ala” cart for every item. Not even telling me when I ordered that would happen. First time I have ever paid so much for toast bacon coffee and tomatoes. Ridiculous I could have had a full breakfast for $16. Very disappointed. First time EVER that I did not leave a generous tip. Won’t be going there again. For now I am totally disappointed and disgusted. Thought it was me but the guest I took this last time commented on the rudeness.

Great food. Best spanakopita weve had. Pancakes and Belgian waffle was also great. Our 5- and 2-year-old loved it. Our server was also speedy and attentive. Thanks for a great dinner!

Very nice breakfast. The layout is a typical larger diner layout. They have a bar. But for breakfast coffee and omelet made my day.

Went there for breakfast right before golf game. Food was fresh especially eggs. Cook made an error with my order and I was given a new order right away.

Im sitting here now. We ordered almost an hour ago, for 2, and our food still hasnt arrived. Ive had an orange juice...and nothing else. The staff hasnt come around to offer coffee or an apology for the delay.Finally, after 55 minutes of waiting, we got our food. The eggs were undercooked, the hash browns were overcooked. My steak was overcooked. The one positive is the mushrooms were fresh, not canned.I have eaten at three of the restaurants in this chain (Mystic, Old Saybrook, and this one) and I havent been impressed by any of them. This one was by far the most disappointing. I wished I had just stopped at Dunks instead.

The restaurant atmosphere is classic to the diner setting, The waitresses are attentive to your drink needs, the breakfast menu is very wide choices with health conscience meals, the omelets and the eggs benedict were excellent

Rude manager. Sat down by myself for breakfast cam up with a menu but not the main menu. Came back with the proper menu. I had to ask for coffee no sweetener I ask for sweetener leaves me sitting there while hes talking to a pal laughing it up. Ordered pick up for two people, only received one set of utensils. Paid $2 for bacon and did not receive it. Most diners give ketchup with condiments but none was included. I do suspect if we had been eating at the diner we would have had a better experience. Overall it was okay.

Every time I dine there I am always happy with whatever I choose. Its a good size portion & fairly priced. Always yummy never disappointed.

Very friendly staff. High quality food and lots of it. Weve always had good meals here any time of day or night. With Covid their hours are curtailed and seating limited but all the rest remains the same. High marks for everything!

The food was below par. French Dip sandwich and the jus both tasted burned. We couldnt eat it.The Greek Omelette was ok but not big on fresh ingredients like spinach and feta. Our waitress Ella was lovely.

Hands down (or rather up into my mouth) my favorite diner.Great food.Great environment.Good price.I personally fancy their gyros, possibly the best in the state. I have gotten gyros from many places in CT, and have to say: the ones at the Parthenon are my preferred style.

Food was horrible my wife food which were eggs over easy were ice cold . Server took them back instead of making new ones they microwaved then the yoke was hard homefies not cooked and hard. When we spoke up they were rude and place wasnt busy..never go again!!!

Really bad customer service all together my family came from Vermont there was 9 of us all together we sat down must have been about 15 min went by still no menus no waitress either so I got up and grabbed the menus myself I had just passed them out we literally just started looking and the waitress walks over and says ok so what would you guys like I looked at her and said now you want to come over we just got our menus and just started looking shes like ok Ill be back top that off she never asked any of us what we wanted to drink she was just standing around be lazy she wasnt even waiting on another table never again will I or my family go back there again......this happened on the 30th of June sometime after 2pm no later then 230pm on that day

A good old fashioned dinner

This is our go to diner when in the Branford area. The staff is great and the food is good. Surprisingly, their fried chicken is amazing. Breakfast is always good. Great any time of the day.

Stopped in on a Sunday morning. Im not a breakfast person but it was very good. Our food was great. Very clean and everyone is spaced out.

Wanted to add more info regarding our visit which wasnt done earlier due to time issue. Our experience at this diner was just wonderful. I ordered the Mediterranean wrap with fried eggplant, sun-dried tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese. Being from New York, I know my paninis. I have to say this was one of the best I have ever had. The service was also excellent. If you are in this area, I definitely recommend eating there.

Food is great there.

The food quality has slid downhill over the years. During my last visit it was a song and a dance just to get an orange juice. The waitress opted not to bring it until I was halfway through with my my omelette that was made incorrectly. The orange juice they brought was roughly 4oz and tasted fermented.

The food was about 5 out of 10. The pancake syrup came in the packets you get for school lunch. The over easy eggs were overdone. The homefries were burnt and raw. (amatures). The service was not the worse but also not the best.

Great place! Never once had a bad meal or bad service. It’s clean and everyone there is always extremely courteous and helpful.

Found this place on accident and so glad we did! It was delicious and the service was excellent. My husband fell in love with their coffee and the waiter ground him some to take home! Definitely a great place to eat!

My visit today i left a little disappointed.. the waitress was alittle rude. Snapped at my girlfriend and her mother when she asked when the 2 orders of French fries would come. She comped an order of fries after she had time to cool off from whatever was on her mind. Great place for takeout

Called to order breakfast for my mother and I. Everything was fine until I asked to pay with my card over the phone. Ive done this at DONZENS of other places with no problems. Man on the phone (has Indian accent, might be the owner/manager) says look here Im really busy why cant you bring your card in? Its not stolen right? He asked if I could bring it in and I said yeah I could ignoring his unnecessary comment. He said if you cant bring the card in I dont know what to say. Confused because I just said I could. So I hung up on him, and ordered from Branford Townhouse diner. I got a call from Parthenon on the way to the diner but they were too late on fixing their mistake. You guys have failed. Game over

DONT GET TAKEOUT ITS A RIP-OFF! $50 got me 5 rings of calimari, a skimpy salad, and a tiny square of moukassa. If you do order takeout check the bag before you leave and demand more food! Never again!

It was the waitress third day which didnt mind it but didnt have any help. Waited 10 minutes for even someone to show up. Hostess got upset being very handicapped asked for a booth closer. Order was taken and an order was placed for Lobster Roll. It came out cold with butter starting to harden. They took back and credit bill. Upon leaving the hostess made a comment to us saying regarding the lobster roll. Will never go or recommend this diner ever.I also just notice on all the reviews the ones with more than 4 stars got an answer. The only one I saw with one star got no response from. You would think they would respond with maybe trying to improve what had happened and apologize . That is the one thing the hostess didnt even bother because she had an attitude . Felt bad for waitress.

The drinks are delicious, try the homemade bloody mary:) also has an amazing bartender. Alexandra, our server, was super patient and knowledgeable. Also the food is delicious: I had one of the chicken specials with ham that came with a soup and a dessert, and my partner had the lobster ravioli. Both fresh and amazing! Alex definitely made our experience perfect, and we will be back because of her!! I wish the diner were closer to Boston!!

Having a large family always poses the challenge of being able to get into a restaurant in a timely manner. This place always seems to have room for us and it’s not for lack of popularity or heavy volumes of people! It’s amazing how that works! The food is spot on and affordable. Great large diner. We both enjoyed our breakfast. Greek omelette with nicely seasoned home fries and gluten free bread. huge bowl of oatmeal with cinnamon. Service was pretty good too.

Came here for lunch today with my sister at 2:45 Waitress came over quickly and greeted us and came back 5 minutes later to take our order, 25 minutes later our food came out which kinda took long especially when there wasn’t many people in there, I go to take a bite of my wrap and and saw a long gray hair so I waved the waitress over and told her but she couldn’t see it because apparently she didn’t have her glasses on or something, so she takes it to the back to show the chef in which she returns to tell me he did see the hair “apparently I was lying” so they take another 15 minutes to make another, we go to ring out and asked the manager if he could do anything about the hair in my food but since he wasn’t aware I’d it, in which his waitress should have told him about the incident, gave us 10% off the bill in which I thought I shouldn’t have paid for my meal at all, all in all poor service and will not be back

A big collection of meals to choose from, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. The fact that its open 24 is great as well as the service there.

Tonight the owner was extremely rude to me.We had breakfast for dinner and the bacon was a bit under cooked IMO.Asked to have it cooked more, only to have it come back burnt.We didn’t eat it.Waitress was sweet and offered to bring out a new order, but we were already halfway into our meal so I declined the offer.When she gave me the bill I was charged for it anyways.Went to the register, explained what had happened and asked for an adjustment.You would think I was on trail pleading my case over $4. Absolute bs.It shouldn’t of been on the bill to begin with and then to be berated over it, is ridiculous.Was really surprised by the whole thing because we go there often and not once have asked for an adjustment. Their food is hit or miss.Since I’m never going back everyone should know that when I got a refill of coffee, there was suddenly a mystery hair hanging on the side of my mug.Said nothing.Could have been mine.?But maybe not, since my hair was pulled back the entire time and it wasn’t there before my refill.Awhile back there was a hair in my salad.Stopped eating it and said nothing about it because my kid likes their chicken tenders.Also instead of the waitress putting the bacon on a plate to send it back, she had us put it on a napkin.Trashy to say the least.And the toast was drenched in butter.Hope getting upset over $4 was worth me running my mouth.

My friends and I adore this place. The food’s great, the people are great, the atmosphere is great. I don’t know what people are complaining about cause it’s great. Also it’s great that it’s by the theatre cause it’s always open after a late movie. I wanted the rating higher so I’m writing this. Goodbye.

Fantastic meals from breakfast to dinners and always the desserts.

The food was good, and the place was clean. Our waitress was nice, she only checked on us a few times. Which was okay cause someone else filled my coffee. The desserts looked delicious. The oreo pancakes where yum and my Greek sampler was good as well. The omelet looked a bit small. The prices where okay. Not typical prices of your diner. But it seems like you can overlook that for the taste of the food. Would come back if ever in town again.
