Asked to leave the second I tried to walk through the door. Like they were stalking me. Spoke with the police and was told I was able to return. Met with hostility the next time I tried to make a purchase at this liquor store. I hope their stock crashes, I hope little old ladies ask 100000000 questions and I hope coastal loses massive profit. All I wanted was to purchase some 50ml bottles.

Very very clean and neat. Easy to find what your looking for. Extensive wine and liquor list. AND they have helpful gadgets such as cork screws, etc. Thus is why they are heads above the rest!!!

Always a great selection and staff willing to help you as you browse. Their gin and beer selections I think are the standout features. I believe the whiskey/bourbon selection has gotten ever so slightly smaller recently.

Selection is good but was not overwhelmed by the experience dealing with the staff. Dismissed pretty quickly when we asked about a case discount on wine, when we had received one a month ago on similar items. Felt like we were inconveniencing the checkout person when we put the case of wine on the counter and she insisted we take each bottle out.. Just not what we had expected.

Fantastic wine selection. Really appreciate the curbside delivery service during Covid. It certainly is very helpful given the number of folks who shop here. The young men and women who bring our purchases to the car are always very friendly and helpful.

I have to respond to the criticism of NR Benedict, who thought the employees here were not knowledgeable. I dont know them all, but would suggest you ask for John if you need help with wines. He is passionate about them and can probably answer any question you may have about wine. He can certainly help you choose a good one--and it will not be something theyre trying to promote, unless thats what you want! Sebastian will guide you ably through the beer department. He is also an adventurous fan of mixed drinks and spirits. I doubt there are many he hasnt tried, and hes happy to share his knowledge.Now a note to the management: Please do not downsize the selection, as I hear you may do. Your varied inventory puts you head and shoulders above the competition here and saves Shoreline residents the trouble of going to Milford!

Bought regular soda instead of diet soda .. unopened in box when I returned w receipt the manager wouldnt let me swap for diet! I usually shop at least once a week, now I will take my business elsewhere, lost at least $75 a week for a lousy $4.00 in soda .

I went to Coastal Wine for the 1st time. During my visit I was greeted by an employee upon entering the store who asked if I needed any help. Once I got to the section that I was looking for - another asked if I needed help with my selection. The staff are very friendly, courteous, and helpful. There was also a huge selection of EVERYTHING to choose from. I would definitely recommend Coastal Wine & Spirit.

Sure, sure; they have alcoholic beverages and mixers but have you seen their Root Beer? It can be hard to find a more crafty root beer and more non-alcoholic beverage options are always welcome! Especially when shopping for picnics where not everyone is drinking alcohol.

They have a great selection of wine. Although none of them are really old.but none of the people seem to have a really firm grip on what are good wines or wine is good.it seems like many of them were just saying either what they were told to say or what they read in some advertisement for the wine that was sold to coastal itself.but if youre interested in wine at a cheap price and you know what youre looking for then its an okay ........

UPDATING as of 8/29/2020; Happily changing my review from 1 star to 5 stars :) My only reason for the 1 star was due to the fact I had been overcharged and tried letting the store know but to no avail. Anyways, Im so thankful and appreciative to Kate Pedreira, their Chief Sales and Marketing Officer!! She reached out to me and wanted to clear things up solely because its the right thing to do and to me, that is why Ill continue to do business there. She was so helpful and flexible with her availability to meet at the store. I couldnt ask for a better person to represent Coastal Wine and Spirits. Shes just an honest woman and because Im the same way (and sadly that trait is hard to come by these days), I decided I needed to give her a little extra shout-out so to speak!

Since I live in Pennsylvania, I always take the opportunity to check out liquor stores in other states and countries. This might be the best liquor store I have ever been in with an incredible selection of spirits, wines, beers and ciders. The depth of the collection is pretty astounding too. Whoever is purchasing inventory at this store really knows spirits. The rum variety was the largest I have ever seen. The staff was friendly as well and prices seemed reasonable. I will go out of my way in the future to visit this store.

Selection ok...customer service needs much improvement. Compared to where I usually go where theyre always friendly helpful and plenty of people on the floor willing and able to help you. My experience here was like they couldnt be bothered. Guy behind the service desk couldnt wait to get back to his desk and barely answered my questions. Girl who checked me out had a grumpy attitude. Too bad the store has a large enough selection but Ill go back to my usual store, Madison Wine Exchange, where they actually seem like they want my business.

Best selection of alcohol in CT. The friendly and knowledgeable staff is more than happy to help you sort through their immense stock. They also can order special items if they do not carry it regularly. The prices are either average or bellow average to boot. Worth a stop if you need a great bottle of wine or craft beer.

Great selection of beer, but did not pay attention to the selection of spirits. Good selection of craft beers. They have wine tastings there frequently. Probably the best adult beverage store in the area beside Wine Thief, but you dont have to deal with trying to find parking in New Haven.

Most all there beer is almost out or close to being out of date. Especially the cases and larger. There prices are not so great. They say they will add match, I had another liquor store on the phone to let them know that I can purchase a bottle of bourbon $10 dollars cheaper than what they had it for. They said NO I need an add. The other store doesnt have adds, thats there every day price. Will shop in North Haven from now on 🍺🥃👎

Coastal is my favorite liquor store in the area. They have a massive, well-organized selection of wine, beer, and liquor. In comparison to other large stores (particularly in New Haven) they are extremely clean and friendly.

I couldnt find what I was looking for so I asked an employee if he knew where I could find it. He went to the general area of where it might be but to no avail so he went on the computer and found the kind of wine I was looking for. He was very nice and helpful.
