I didnt have any negative experiences, just nothing fantastic either. The decor is really cute but there wasnt any air conditioning (a commitment to their tropical theme?) Pretty standard american breakfast and lunch food.
Flamingo Diner is one of my new favorite places for picking up a quick bite. The owners are fantastic and incredibly accommodating of dietary needs. The food tastes great and is in large quantity making one meal easily last for two!
The food was really good and and waitress was very nice! Cute place overall!!
It was alright. Food could have been seasoned more and the server was very friendly.I would not go again.
I hope these new owners make it. This place has been many different names and it usually closes.
The best Blueberry pancakes w/Vermont syrup 🥞
Theyre not open right now due to covid, but Ive eaten there many tines and was ALWAYS very yummy food and good service
My mom forgot her pocket book and staff picked it up and kept it safe before we could pick it up. 🥲
During COVID-19, the Flamingo has remained closed. I miss them very much, and can’t wait for their return when it is safe. They have some delicious brunch specials on the weekends. I am partial to their Eggs Benedict and their Hueovos Rancheros.
Wasnt my cup of tea, food was bland..
Good food, nice staff, and you can get a mammosa. They have a small bar selection, but it is a diner setting. Their key lime pie is good. Not the best I ever had but a Floridian would be proud. And I just had a maple walnut and rum cake from their that was really good.
My favorite place for breakfast in town. So good!! One of my favorite options is the wake n bacon sandwich. Theres a great selection and its all so good. Specials available regularly too.
The Flamingo Diner is a charming diner, with a real diner feel. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the portions were generous and tasty, and the decor was a cut above your average quirky diner. The building itself seems to have been expanded at some point from the original structure, so Flamingo has room for larger groups, up to maybe 20 people. However Id recommend calling ahead if youll have a larger group. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is that the food took a while to arrive. Granted, there were other people sitting down as we did - maybe they were just understaffed that day.Get whatever youd usually get at a diner, or try something a little outside your comfort zone, everything we got was very good. The toast was especially perfect. Flamingo also has a pretty good missed drink menu, Italian soda, and milkshakes!
Dry burger…
Stopped in today for lunch. Very good food and clean inside an old added onto diner. Northern chicken sandwich with fries. Everything cooked and tasted great; super nice staff!
Seems that its closed indefinitely! :(
Breakfast from open to close. Nothing wrong with that. Breakfast or lunch, you are sure to enjoy your meal. And your waitress.
Great food... Very polite and patient waitstaff. Just moved here from Ct and the difference between here and our old go to is like night and day. Awesome experience!!
No wait on a Sunday morning! Had the Western Omelette with toast and fresh potatoes. Food was excellent. If youre around this area, this is a good option to avoid the Brand Restaurants. Really friendly waiters.
We stopped here for a quick bite on an early morning drive to the Berkshires. This is the type of place that makes you glad you took the back way and not the interstate. Delicious breakfast in a whimsical, carefree setting. Major points for the soundtrack playing in the background; an awesome mix of easy going classic rock.
Great food! Ok service. People were not friendly, must have caught them on a bad day.
You want character, this place has it. Good food, decent prices, served with sass. Make time to meet the dinosaur but be careful not to knock pieces off.
I went with a group of friends and our children. The hostess was rude and unaccommodating. We ended up leaving as it was clear they were not going to serve us. Very disappointing. However, Duo (a few minutes down the road) was more than accommodating. We ended up glad the Flamingo staff was so awful, because we ended up having a wonderful, yummy breakfast with an amazing and patient waiter over there.
The best cup of coffee Ive had in a long time. Food was delicious....aimed to please on my desired crispness of bacon n potatoes. Thank you....
Atmosphere is very hipster the waitstaff were alright, long wait for food. Solid coffee, decent food. Nice if thats the type of place youre into, not my cup of tea
Very tastey and affordable breakfast and lunch in a relaxed, cozy atmosphere and served by friendly waitstaff. The decor is great and they always have good music playing (at a reasonable volume). The pancake and grilled cheese sections of the menu are large and very creative. There is table, booth, and bar seating so its great for groups, couples, or solo dining.
This is exactly the diner experience we were looking for. Waitresses could be heard talking about life, while they pour local coffee and sling pancakes and eggs that come out better than they do at home! Great, clean atmosphere. And a very helpful bus-boy.
This diner is a well kept local secret. They have great service and a pleasant atmosphere. Serving breakfast and lunch, they have a great selection of dishes, and even serve Chorizo. The chef puts a lot of thought into the specials, two per week. If you are lucky enough to go when they are serving the Nanas Banana French Toast, I highly recommend it. Three slices of their amazing banana bread, with a fresh egg wash, griddled to perfection. Then topped with a heaping pile of freshly sliced banana, and powdered sugar. Get it with the real maple syrup for an added treat, or on its own because its just that good.Their food presentation is generally exquisite, and the chef really knows what he is doing. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Whether youve lived here for decades or just passing through, a stop at the Flamingo will be well worth it.
Good place, too flashy and too many flamingos. Interior is crappy, needs to be touched up. Cute little place, food was great, and the waitress was really nice. Definately coming back
Awesome place. The flamingo motif is delightful and hilarious and the staff is extremely friendly. Loved every moment.
Gets the job done! Omlete was a good size, plentiful ingredients. Lovely staff. Just right!
I had the green goddess burrito which was so good!! My boyfriend had the plain pancakes unfortunately they were a little on the dry side ans the homefries needed some seasoning. Other than that the service was great and the coffee kept coming!
Quite charming without hardly trying. The staff...equally charming in their individuality. The food and drink is always a treat. Its what a diner should be, but too often misses the mark.
Your basic diner food. Very good service. Good breakfast. Normal pricing.
Food was really good and prices are reasonable. Loved the flamingo decor, gave it a feeling of a small seaside restaurant.
Portuguese Egg & Cheese Sandwich was delicious, the Frech toast had a ton of flavor and the bacon was thick and crispy. The waitress was very nice and a pleasure to talk to. A perfect Vermont restaurant...
My family and I luv the food and the service
I have been a regular customer since they opened. The eggs Benedict (available on weekends) is phenomenal. The omelets and scrambles and daily specials are all great. They even have a whole page on the menu for different grilled cheese items. A must visit in Brattleboro.
Really friendly staff and great food. Will definitely be back.
This diner is a triple threat. Unique atmosphere, friendly service, and great food. I loved my strawberry milkshake and alpine burger.
Decent food.Decent service..
Good home cooked meals. Clean n polite folks.
Funky atmosphere, great food, inexpensive.
One of the best breakfasts in town. Old time diner feel. Reasonably priced, clean, enjoyable hosts, good music, and most importantly, yummy food.
Very long line to get in, but the food we had was pretty good.
I love Val and food is great. They have an amazing menu.
Super rad place. Good bloody marys. Breakfast was perfect.
Great food and friendly service. There was a pretty great selection but the prices seemed slightly high.
Its an awesome place with friendly staff and fair prices! Plus... a full bar :)
Good food, great service. I had a burger--delicious.
We stopped here while visiting Brattleboro. The food is great. The staff is very nice. And the place is kitchy and fun. Highly recommended!
We ate here once! It was just ok! Wasnt that impressed!
Felt alittle uneasy. We were stared at alittle. Being in an interracial relationship makes us a little more heightened to our surroundings.
The staff was super friendly but the food wasnt very good. The coffee was not good at all.It seemed like a nice place so there is a very good chance that I caught them on an off day.
Best food in town!!! Awesome ppl great prices. Wish they were open more
Food was good! However, every single time Ive been there, they try and charge me for extras I dont even get! The first couple times I chalked it up to accidents. But, Ive been back at least 3-4 more times (because my family insists) and each time the over charge. Too many times to be a coincidence. Shady practice!
Great food and great service! They also make a mean Greyhound!
Food took about 45 minutes and they forgot aboit the order but the atmosphere was okay
Delicious pancakes, breakfast burritos, and other brunch foods. Waitstaff is great!
You dont get what you order but what the waitress writes down. Asked for frencg toast got some kind of pancake with cooked in bacon pieces and she would not correct the order told us we get what she writes
Amazing service, good prices, bad decor, and the food isn’t good
Good food. Clean and quick service.
Staff was very friendly. It took well over 20 minutes to receive my food. Food is good though.
Pretty awesome. Upcharge for maple in Vermont? Whats up with that? Good pancakes, and homefries were tasty. Dont know about the charge for refills on Coffee, but they do have take away cups.
Not bad.. Price a little bit to high
Great burgers, sandwiches, shakes. Friendly staff and great space - what more could you ask for in a diner?
Was a little Leary at first but the food was absolutely amazing.....
Great food and great stagf
Delicious flavors of pancakes and great service.
Great breakfast and friendly service. Really nice staff
Nice staff and good food. Not pretentious.
Really enjoyed the food. Small cute dinner with a killer menu.
Good food and good prices.
For begin a small diner the food and service was fantastic
A friendly Diner with delicious fare at reasonable prices, it is the place to be on the second Saturday of any month.
Good food but take awhile to get your food out but it worth the wait
Nice and friendly. Good breakfast
Weve been wanting to go to the Flamingo Diner for some time, but since they dont have a dinner shift, and with my work hours, this wasnt a possibility. This past Saturday my schedule opened, and allowed us to visit. We were greeted by friendly staff, who found us seating after a brief wait. The menu choices are impressive, and there are plenty of them. Many choices use local ingredients, which is very important to us.While we were waiting, we used the complimentary Wi-Fi, an added plus.We watched a number of the other dishes being served to the other patrons. Everything looked absolutely delicious! The colour on the fries on one plate was absolutely amazing! While we were waiting, we enjoyed a bowl of fresh rice pudding. It was wonderful, with a good flavour and perfectly sweet. My only complaint (and really, only a personal choice) was that it could have used more cinnamon - but, I like a LOT of cinnamon. And, our own food: delicious! I got the Big Mess which involved a plate with fresh grilled vegetables, farm fresh eggs and Vermont cheddar cheese. Her breakfast burrito was filled with fluffy scrambled eggs and fresh vegetables. The coffee was made with freshly ground beans, and they kept refilling our cups during the entire time we were there. Despite one reviewers post, refills on complimentary.Would we come back? Absolutely! If I had any one complaint, it would be that they do not offer a dinner-hours service. Id love to see their regular fare during those hours.Six stars! Yes, I give them an extra.
Food was good and service was great but it did take a very long time to get the food
Seats were pretty uncomfortable and I was a mile away from the table... Service was good they were very nice, cute town to be in
Good food and atmosphere..home made breakfast and good toast...
Cute place, great food
Middle of the road breakfast. Convenient location. Charged me for a coffee refill. Who charges for a coffee refill?
Not as good as Chelsea Royal but they do take cards and serve alcohol on the morning of ur into that
Great food and staff!
My wifes favorite restraunt the owner is friendly very home like atmosphere and best breakfast in town
Fantastic food...fantastic prices...fantastic service! Worth every penny!!!
Menu items cant be modified. Food lacks seasoning. Will not be going back. Even the staff had a tea on the counter from Dunkin Doughnut! I think that says a lot!
Stopped for a late breakfast and had the best breakfast burrito and fried potatoes ever. We’ll have to try lunch on another visit to Bratt.
Breakfast was good, but very small plates full amount was put in the one plate, eggs, potatoes, bacon and toast. The one great thing was the jelly was home made, outstanding taste.
My favorite diner. Extensive list of eye openers and bacon pancakes, with the best atmosphere.
Good old fashioned diner food.
Great classic diner with an extensive breakfast and lunch menu.
Decent place to get lunch, style is ok, it’s unique, food is great, slightly overpriced.
Breakfast was fantastic an also the service
Frendly, down home atmosphere with great pancakes.
GOOD food good service
