When our floors were first installed by R&S, they did not seal them correctly and we had white flakes come up on the floors and it looked like there was glue between the wood slats. The project manager came out to review our situation and agreed to refinish them due to this problem. The first day they came, they left our house and left all of our doors unlocked and our front door wide open- keep in mind all of our belongings had been moved upstairs. Luckily, at 8 pm that night our neighbors noticed the front door wide open and were able to close and lock it for us. We had even left them a lockbox and gave them a code to keep the key secure, but our neighbor found the key lying on the patio floor for anyone to just come and take. We called the project manager and told him what happened and there was no apology – he just said he would “Try to reach someone” to have them close it. After that, we had people go by the house each day to check on everything because we lost all trust in R&S. One day at the end of the week, they left our hose running – I have no idea how long it was running or why it was running in the first place. We got a text saying that the floors would be finished on Sunday and we could move our furniture in – I came to the house only to find that none of the cove molding was done, none of the shoe molding had been caulked, none of the trim had been painted, and none of the plumbing was reinstalled (our toilet and sink from the guest bathroom was on our patio). I called the project manager SEVERAL times that day and he would not answer my calls or my texts about the unfinished project – even though he had texted me that morning to say we could move back in. I called on Monday morning and talked to the scheduler who then scheduled everything to be finished that week – it took until Thursday of that week for everything to be scheduled and completed. I also want to add that we never got an apology from the Project Manager and the only reason that we got an apology from anyone else that worked there was because we asked for an apology directly. I would not recommend R&S and I want everyone to know what our experience was like. They are difficult to get ahold of, they ignore calls/texts, their team does not communicate with each other, they will not get your work done on time. We posted this on our neighborhood page to warn our neighbors about our experience and found out there are several others with similar experiences.EDIT: Added on 11/11: Response to owners response:I do not understand why you did not know about these issues - I called Ray, the project manager, and the Flooring team several times and told them about the issues from the first day of the project. As far as your claim about rescheduling, this is not true. We rescheduled one time over a month before the project (and we were told there was no problem with this). When you proposed new dates for the refinish (the week of October 12th), we were told that the painters would be on vacation so they would have to come another week. We told the scheduler that we needed it all done in the same week due to my being pregnant (I cant move furniture) and us being unable to have furniture movers come back to move all the furniture against the wall and into place. We were assured that this would all be completed within the same week which is why we moved the dates to the week of the 21st (after the painters were back from vacation) instead of the proposed dates of the week of the 12th. I also want to reiterate that it was never communicated to us at any point that there were any delays with our project. We were told it would be finished within a week and when it was not, it was not communicated to us – we only discovered it upon moving back in.
I just wanted to say that Arron did a perfect job on our new luxury vinyl kitchen floor. Every cut of his was flawless. The panels were masterfully put together to fit like a glove. Then to follow him the painters Don and Chris did a superb job also. We would not hesitate to reccomend R and S to anyone.
Just wanted to say thanks to R&S flooring for a job well done. Kyle with the first visit and estimate, and especially Aaron who went the extra mile to make sure our flooring installation looked great. We highly recommend these folks!McMillian and DianeKingston Springs, TN
I would like to start by saying that I was actually pleased with my floors once they were finished but nothing could have prepared me for all the aggravation I have endured in dealing with R &S. I had 5 rooms and a hallway that needed carpet removed and the hardwood refinished and stained. I had to move out of my house while the work was being done so it was quite inconvenient to say the least. It has been six weeks and I am still waiting for this nightmare to be over. The crew that was assigned to do the refinishing was also to move all the heavy furniture out of my house and placed in the garage. I call them the “wrecking crew” because I have never seen anything like it. They threw furniture in the garage In no particular order and a lot of damage was done. I had a 5 drawer chest demolished, a very expensive leather sofa has a large whole in it and the leather peeled back. My mother’s cedar chest had the top broken and an entertainment center had a large piece of wood broken off. Also, my ATT cable running into the house was severed by, I assume the refinishing equipment. The man who was supposed to put the shoe molding down canceled several appointments and I had to move back in my home so furniture was moved back in after two weeks but could not be put in place until after the trim could be done. Once that was done I was told that there would be a trim painter to touch up all the damage done to the woodwork and a furniture repair company would come to repair the furniture. The furniture repairman said the chest was not salvageable and he does not repair leather. He did fix the other items. The trim painter showed up this morning, 6 weeks after the trim was damaged. No one called to tell me he was coming and I was in bed asleep. I am still waiting on the leather repair. I can’t tell you how many times I have had someone scheduled who never showed up or how many times I have had someone show up that I knew nothing about. My one week job is going on 2 months. I will say that I am very pleased with the floors and the office has adjusted the bill to compensate me for the damage but I can’t say that I would do it all again. If you have a small job and you are there to watch over your property I am sure that things will go much better but I did not have a choice.
We had them out to give a price and gave them our samples to match our floor and NEVER did respond. Price was high compared with other places. Felt like they didn’t want my business because no return call. Waited over 2 weeks, so I called them to cancel.Must be nice to be so busy.
I was looking to replace carpet in my master bedroom and wanted it to match my existing floors in my living room. I went to many other stores and had no luck with their selection. I went to R & S and found flooring that matched my existing floors at an amazing price! The installation was seamless and the project manager was so great to work with. I truly love my floors and experience with R & S! Thank you!!
I would recommend to anyone. Prompt service. The lady Alexis was such a help. She took the time to help us make an informed decision. The end product is amazing. Will use any time we need work!Thank you!!!
This is now the second time that I have used R&S, and we are so excited and happy about how the process went and how our floors look! Alexis and Laura helped me pick out a beautiful color/style of flooring that fit our home perfectly. Robert was very detailed on the schedule and the guys that did the install were excellent! Elmis and his team did a wonderful job! My main goal was to get one consistent floor without any transitions. And they did it! The process was stressful at first because, lets think about it.... This is in a way, construction in your home. But I backed up and let them do their thing (thats why I hired them) and the process and end result was beautiful.
I own a remodeling company in Murfreesboro called Stones River Renovations. We do everything from the ground up. Making peoples dreams come true is our passion. I have used R&S flooring on my Kitchens, Bathrooms and whole house remodels. Ray has been my salesman/project manager for every job. I cant say enough good things about Ray! When he gives me a schedule, it is spot on. That is very important to me when I have to schedule other subs. The quality of product and installation is also great! Ray and R&S Flooring are a big part of making my clients dreams come true. I will always call Ray for all my flooring needs!!Thank You Ray and R&S Flooring!
We recently used R&S to replace our existing upstairs carpet with new hardwoods and lay LVP in our downstairs basement. From the original estimate process to the installation and finishing work, our experience with the R&S team was very professional and the process was as described from the onset. We had a very tight timeline to hit and their team did an excellent job in meeting that for us. I was very impressed by the quality of work and would highly recommend their team. We look forward to using them again for our future flooring needs.
R&S did a wonderful job on my new floors! My job was done on time & everyone was so nice. I spoke with Robert when I called in & he was very helpful. I highly recommend this company!
Every step of the way in our home project, R&S Flooring let us down. The day of demo, the workers showed up without the correct tools, which subsequently resulted in demo taking a full day longer than it was supposed to. It took them bringing a succession of 2 (?!) broken tools in from their warehouse in nashville before the 3rd arrived, but not until the following day. No ventilation was used during demo (OSHA violation, FYI) which left our house dirty and dusty, and caused our fire alarm to go off. Large chunks of paint were also ripped off both my baseboards and my newly painted kitchen cabinets during the demo, and when the painter came to do the touch-up, he did an absolutely mediocre job, leaving the damaged areas still looking nearly bare, and he left paint spatters on the walls, new floors, and kitchen granite. It took a full month for me to even receive a response to my email requesting a new paint job. The painter did eventually come back, and the finish was still somewhat sub-par, however it was significantly better than the first time, which tells me it was clearly a deliberately half-hearted attempt the first time.We also had to have a special transition piece made for the entrance to the laundry room because the demo ripped up part of the flooring there, and scheduling this also took a full month after install. The can of glue was set directly onto our brand new floors and left large splatters on the new flooring as well as inside the laundry room, which we were unable to clean off.I have not once received an apology from R&S despite my many emails detailing our concerns and including pictures. We will not be recommending the company nor using them again in the future.
I am so disappointed in my service from R&S. We recently replaced carpet with hardwood floors on the stairs and all upstairs. I was excited to finally get some of the squeaks fixed with the new flooring. I paid extra to make sure the squeaks were gone. The floors were delivered on the date/time in my documents. But no walk through prior to the guys coming to install. The painter was scheduled for a date that was different from what I had listed.I have had to have multiple people out to fix squeaks and repaint places that were missed. The floors do look great, but still squeak. 😞I wish the communication was better with expectations of completed project.
Very professional and I love my new floors! Thanks RandS for being so punctual and delivering a top notch product at a great price! It feels like a new home. I loved all the attention to detail. I also loved the professional treatment especially with Covid concerns. I will definitely use you guys again.
R & S exceeded my expectations in all areas: price, product, service, and friendliness. Job came in below estimate!!! When does that ever happen???Fantastic company! Never going anywhere else again!!!
We hired R & S flooring after Clayton came out to do an estimate. We received a timeline and was followed exactly. They even moved ahead of schedule. Everyone was professional and courteous. We replaced our carpet in the bonus room above our 3 car garage with hardwood flooring and the stairs. They matched exactly to our current floors. I would highly recommend them.
I hired R&S to install hardwoods upstairs in my home. At the end of the process, I am happy with how the floors look. But what I was told would be a couple day job took them over 2 months to complete. The main issue I experienced was poor communication- not coming on time, not coming on the day scheduled, and at one point not hearing back from them for several weeks. I felt like I was chasing them to find out when they were coming to finish. Some minor issues were insufficient materials ordered to complete the job (which led to them needing to come back on more occasions), broken items (light fixtures and ceramic pottery) during installation (most were repaired) and dozens of nail holes and scratches in the middle of the rooms (they were filled with wood putty). As they came to my home on seven instances to complete this project, the inconvenience of constantly adjusting my work schedule was not minor. Even though their communication throughout the project was lacking/inaccurate, less than 10 minutes after the project was completed I received a call asking for payment. I originally planned on hiring them to do another home project. But after this experience I went with another company.
Such a professional company, timely and detailed work. Robert took care of us through each step of the process. Very trustworthy company,
Awful service from beginning to end. Overpromised and under delivered. Had numerous problems throughout the project; from no call no shows on installation, to poor craftsmanship and correcting those issues, it was an unfortunate mess. We even got Clay, the project manager, involved only to be lied to and misled again. No recourse for the issues and problems they created. After this terrible experience, I wouldnt follow R&S flooring through a green light...
The R&S Flooring crew did an excellent job and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and professional flooring company. Great company!
R&S Flooring made everything hassle free and would choose them again over any other flooring company. Robert helped us and was wonderful to work with.
We browsed with R&S last year when we were thinking about having our floors done. This year we went back in when we had the budget to do so. Alexis, the lady at the counter, took the time to show us the options that would work the best for our home and our lives. She listened to what was important to us and helped us make the best decision for our needs. Thank you so much, we LOVE the finished product.
I hired R&S flooring to install a runner for my clients staircase. It was installed incorrectly and my clients of course, were less than pleased.I am the one that hired R &S, so it was my responsibility to have the runner reinstalled correctly. After speaking with an employee and not getting any satisfaction or feeling as though the problem was going to be corrected, I Was pretty unhappy.I called R & S the following day and happened to speak to Ray. He immediately had me text a picture of the runner, so he could see the problem. He put a plan into action, right away, to resolve the issue. Ray called the the next day with a time and day to reinstall the runner.I very much appreciate the way he handled the situation . Ray is very knowledgeable and professional . I am so happy with the end result. Because he listened to what the problem was, and took immediate action, my clients are very happy and so am I!! Thanks Ray for turning a bad situation into a great outcome! Thanks again,Connie
Alexis Alcorn was top notch...great experience with her help!
When we were in a year ago, Alexis was so helpful. She provided us with a variety of options to fit our budget while also looking amazing. I recommend anyone who needs to have their floors done to ask for Alexis and Robert.
I tried to do my homework and get 3 estimates for my hardwood floors. One company never returned my calls and the other estimate was ridiculous. I called R&S and they had someone out promptly. Chris was very knowledgeable about what I needed. The estimate was exactly what I thought it should be. My whole project was turn key and couldnt have gone smoother. These guys are professional, super organized and show up on time. I was truly impressed how easy everything was. I was thinking I would have dust everywhere. Everything was so neat when they were done. I would highly recommend R&S to anyone. I love my new hardwood floors!!! Great company!!
Came out very quickly for a free estimate and gave professional, honest advice.
We just had our floors installed and could not have had a better experience! From the time Bill spent with us at the store while we were choosing our perfect floor to the installation process. Erik and his team did an awesome job. They had the floors installed in one day and worked seamlessly together. Our floors look absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you R&S for making this such a great experience for us!!
Love my new flooring! I had carpet taken up in 5 rooms and replaced with wood flooring. Bill, at R&S, was absolutely wonderful in helping us find the exact right flooring that matched the existing hardwoods in the house very closely. He knows his stuff and is very patient. The crew that came out to do the install was very polite and worked very hard to finish this job on time. The workmanship of this crew was the best!
I had hardwood floors installed in several rooms of my home about 2 weeks ago. Everyone I came in contact with was professional and knowledgeable. The Estimator, Clayton Phillips, answered all my questions and was quite helpful in providing additional information. The Project Manager, Tommy Young was very conscientious and diligent in guiding the process and in making sure that it ran smoothly all along the way. And Teresa, the scheduler worked with me to coordinate the timing of all the steps to fit in well with my own schedule. I was so pleased with the customer service and installation of the floors that Ive arranged to have the rest of the rooms done too.
I never leave reviews, but just had to share how happy we were with R&S!Laura, Lacy, and everyone else we worked with were so friendly and helpful! The options were plentiful, the pricing was very fair, and we had our carpet installed within a week after our room was meaured. We were thrilled with the service and with the finished product. The carpet is beautiful! This was our first experience with a flooring company and we will definitely be using them again and referring our friends and family!
Great, honest advice from Ray who just looked at my floors! I just bought a house that has cupping on most of the wood floors. I knew this ahead of time and had the crawlspace encapsulated before we moved in. Ray mentioned that wood can take months to completely dry out and advised me to wait and watch the wood before refinishing. He couldve easily just done the work and let me deal with the consequences later, but he was honest and professional. Would definitely recommend!
I been looking around for a good and professional company to sand and finish my floor and I’m so glad I found R&S, I mean the team at the office or the team on the ground they all awesome and helpful, The project Manager Mr Erick He’s really great and awesome guy. He make sure to explain everything before they start and walk around after .Thank you R&S for such great job.
Great experience, from salesperson, office personnel, project manager to the installation crew. Everyone were so polite and professional, went above and beyond in the whole process. I would definitely recommend R&S flooring to everyone. Thank you for my beautiful floors.
Ray and the guys at R&S had already done work in our home and did a great Job. So we had them come to the office and see what they could do.. Once again very knowledgeable on latest products and flooring technology even for a workshop in a garage! Great to know that there quality is consistent. Keep it up!
Addendum to my experience last fall. Be sure to read the negative reviews from other customers as they are quite reflective of expectation. That said, following the dismal work performed by R&S for an extensive upgrade, we had a new heat and cooling system installed. Amazingly three of the floor mounted ducts were found to have 9 large pieces of the sanding discs (one being nearly a full disk) in the base of the ductwork. Add this to the large list of issues that the business manager and project manager agreed we’re “atrocious” and resulted in their reimbursing for flagrant poor quality work. My children previously had good experiences with R&S and were appalled with our outcomes. So you can read all the 5 star reviews; but make sure they are not putting new construction loads in front of your job and if the project manager makes the excuse that he/she is too overloaded to review the job in person periodically (no visits in 3 months in our case), and insure you have an ambiguous working contract well defined. Then have an inspector review the final outcome. Fortunately we found that the carpet padding was the lowest grade where we had paid for the highest premium grade. No project manager review...So use a R&S with caution and stringent monitoring. I gave an extra stare for those who were caring in the office and those who came out to fix the the damage they caused.
I could not be less impressed with my experience. I needed about 25 square feet of flooring replaced in a half bath. The whole purpose of getting the project professionally done was because the sub floor was in obviously bad shape. Salesman came out, priced the project, and left. I never heard from him again. When the guys came out to repair the floor, they immediately saw the area that was needing repair and began to wonder why they werent told about this and went on to tell me that they did not come prepared to replace any sub floor. I immediately got a call from project manager (who truly managed nothing from my standpoint) and he told me that these guys were not prepared to repair any sub floor and wed have to reschedule. I got a another call a little while later from the scheduler who told me that hes worked it out to have the job completed tomorrow. I asked what time they would be showing up and he said that installer would call me. Next day comes and I have not heard from anyone. I wait around all morning thinking they would show sometime between 8-9 only to get a call at 11 from the installer. Evidently, hes behind on the current project hes on and wants to know if he could come out tomorrow to complete the work. I asked him what time would he be coming and he said 11:00am. Next day comes and 11:00 comes and goes. I have heard nothing from anyone. I call the scheduler who sounds incredibly confused. He says hell track down installer. A couple hours later I got a call and was told that the installer had broken down and was out of commission all day. I knew they were lying simply because no one breaks down and goes missing from their company for 3/4 of the day. They apologized and assured me that it would be done the next day. I informed them that at this point, I was not certain that anything was going to get done given the way this week had played out. Sure enough, guys (sub contractors) showed up the following morning. Nice guys but when taking the sub floor out, cut through two electrical wires. I knew this when half of my downstairs electricity went out. I immediately called the office to understand if these guys were capable and qualified to now be doing electrical work on my house. They stated that they were but would have an electrician come out to ensure the work was done properly. The hardwood was laid but the guys did not come with any transitions. They said that people would come back to install them. This was Friday afternoon. Friday night I get a call from General Manager trying to understand what had taken place all week. After sharing with him, he apologized and stated that he would send me his personal contact info so that if anything else goes wrong, I could contact him directly. As of now, I got no contact info for him. Brad and James showed up Saturday morning to finish the work (plumbing and trim / transition finish). The job was done in such a way that Brad ended up being at our house until late afternoon. He and James were great and the only bright spot throughout this entire mess. The work finished looks good... but its no where close to worth the hassle and time we spent last week trying to get a very simple project done.Throughout the countless conversations had with various people in the company, no one took any responsibility and instead threw their co-workers under that bus. It was amazing to hear and made it hard to believe that this is as well known of a company as they are.Wont ever use again.
Ray called ahead of our appointment and asked if he could arrive early. Well, hot dog, yes sir! Thanks so much for arriving early, answering all the questions, providing your insight on the work, and overall just being very professional. Ill look forward to doing business with R&S in the future. Thanks again.
Glad I choose to go with R&S. The friendly staff was very helpful, this company is very knowledge when it comes to hardwood. I felt very comfortable dealing with a company that specializes in just hardwood. The bids I received from other companies were more expensive than R&S. I was able to get the exact product I wanted and the overall price was within my budget which was very helpful. R&S went above and beyond to help me get exactly what I wanted for my home and I have been very happy with my overall experience. R&S comes highly recommend.
R&S completed work on our floors following an issue caused by a separate contractor doing work on our home. The staff at the office helped us select carpets and tile that would work in our home and had a wide selection available. Although there were a few scheduling issues, R&S was able to provide us with a really quality finished product. The team that did the physical work on our home were very polite, worked extremely hard, and put in hours that they probably shouldnt have to complete the task. The snags we ran into with R&S surrounded scheduling and timeline planning, but the outcome of the work was professional and high quality. We hope to use them again in the future.
As a builder in Nashville we look to work with the best companies. I have worked with Ray for about 5 years now. He is a pleasure to work with, always on time and on task. When it comes to the actual work the scheduling and finished product is exactly what we would expect as a builder. Would recommend Ray and this company to anyone.
We dealt with Cary C. in the store and could not have had a more professional experience from start to finish. We were in a rush to get a bonus room completed by the holidays. We saw Cary on a Saturday, and the very quickly had Clayton come measure. The floors were delivered the following Monday and were installed flawlessly today. I have done my own flooring in the past (including our kitchen), but it was well worth it to have R&S come and do our floors. Perfectly level, squared correctly, and even trimmed to match our preexisting stair stain. Phenomenal experience. Go see Cary Cundall at R & S and you will have a beautiful floor, guaranteed!
Ray came to do an estimate on refinishing and installing new floors for us today. He was professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, thorough and patient with all my questions and amazing with our dogs! He went out of his way to be kind to our demanding dogs with handshakes and petting them. He even played ball and laser chase with Sandy and got her balls out from under the couch. She did not want him to leave.
We had a great experience working with Ray Creighton and R&S! He was able to get me the best total deal for everything and I did ALOT of shopping around. The floors were installed in quickly and they look absolutely amazing. My friends cannot stop raving about how gorgeous they are. I will be using them again in the future!
This company does great work! I had them replace two bedrooms from Carpet to LVP flooring and they re did two flights of stairs in my home! David Henry was in charge of my project and kept me in the loop every step of the way and made sure I was more than satisfied with the work they did in my home! Also Brad is one hell of a painter 😁👍. I would recommend this company for any and all of your flooring needs!
Ray is great at R&S!!! We needed help with a client of ours needing repair work on their hardwood floors and he couldnt have been easier to work with. The client loved the attention to detail and knowledge that Ray possesses. I would recommend him to anyone thinking about changing their flooring, carpet, tile or hardwoods.
Our experience with the Hoover, AL R&S flooring office was amazing from the planning stage to the end of the project. We had over 1,700 square feet of hardwood floors installed and they are gorgeous. The office personnel were very patient and helpful in helping us select our product and meeting our price point, and the installers were very professional and did an excellent job. I highly recommend R&S flooring to anyone needing new flooring installed. They are a perfect 10 all the way.
We had our stairs replaced as well as the spindles and small landing. I can’t say enough good things about their products; their workmanship and work ethics; their maintaining our home by always cleaning up everything; and their friendliness. I will definitely call them again should the need arise.
This is my second time to work with Ray Creighton and R&S Flooring, and both times Ray was great in providing information and advice. He is very professional and knows flooring. He was there to measure for hardwood flooring in two bedrooms, but when I mentioned my plan to replace kitchen flooring, he immediately gave me advice on how to select the best installer. SO, I decided to let him also give me an estimate for that. He is GREAT!!! The hardwood floors they installed in 2015 still look great and I get so many compliments on them. Other professionals have told me that R&S is the best in town. They got no argument from me. Ask for Ray!!
R&S Flooring staff was very experienced in helping me find the exact product I currently had down in my home to install an additional room that matched. They provided me with a very competitive quote for this being such a small job. I was nervous about how this would turn out due to my existing flooring bring down for some time, but the gentleman that competed the installation was very professional and experienced. You cannot even tell where the old floor ended and the new was installed. I am very pleased with my overall experience.
Chris is my go-to guy for anything hardwood flooring related in the Nashville area! Great service, great prices and quality installation. Highly recommend giving them a chance!
Thanks Ray for being so straightforward with me about my kitchen floor the other day. You recommended I repair the problem instead of replacing the entire floor. Your honest feedback was a breath of fresh air. And although Im not buying from you at this time, I can attest to your integrity and that of your company. Thanks much. J
I spent over an hr going thru sooo many types of hard wood floors. Took samples home & finally made my decision. Later I was told they didnt have my 2 choices due to importing restrictions. Such a waste of time. But the staff was nice.
My wife and I decided it was time to upgrade the flooring in our home. After researthing several stores and locations, R and S was the perfect fit. The staff on hand was more than willing to go above and beyond to help us find what works best for us and what would work with-in our budget.A few days later Ray came out to the house and took measurements and answered all our questions. Ray was extremely friendly, extremely knowledge and a solid guy to work with. I can honestly say out of all the people we met and spoke with, Ray by far was the nicest, friendliest, and most honest weve dealt with.My wife and I are certain we will be going with R and S Flooring for our new floor project. We cant brag enough to their level of professionalism and customer service. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for new floors, hands down.
My experience with R&S Wood Flooring was great! Linda, in the office, is great on the phone and had someone visit the home and provide an estimate that same day. A pleasant surprise. They finished the work ahead of schedule and it looks really good! Ill be back next time and will gladly refer R&S, in the meantime.
Called for estimate dint know what I wanted. Ray came out to my home. He was patient and professional. Really explained the pros and cons of hardwood and laminate flooring. Just educated us and then let us decide.. Thanks Ray
We were wanting a quote to have hard wood floors installed in our home and Ray Creighton came to give us the estimate. Ray was very knowledgeable and professional and answered all of our questions with patience and enthusiasm! Thank you Ray!
As a general contractor, I have used R&S exclusively for 3 years. When I call Ray Creighton, one of their sales guys/estimators, he promptly sets appointments, meets with me, and has estimates back same day (only vendor that I use that does this) Awesome service on the front end, at install, and also for any service. Great guy and great company!
Thank you so much for providing such friendly service. We had a wonderful experience!
Used r&s flooring on a previous job, so we called them when we had another. Ray came out today for an estimate. He was very professional and polite. Cant wait for our new floors!!!
Excellent experience. From Ray who came out to measure and gave us our quote, to the actual installation of our new hard woods we had great service and quality work. We loved our floors so much that we are going to put hard wood in another room Thank you!
Ray from R&S is a qualified professional in his field and will find the best solution for your needs. He listens to his clients and provides great ideas and excellent service. I highly recommend working with him!
I would like to highly recommend R&S. While our project took longer than we expected because of some changes and then wrong wood being shipped, the end result is stunning. Tommy was our crew chief/foreman and always was responsive. The office staff particularly :Loretta . was also responsive when we needed to get wrong items corrected. We went from White wall to wall in most of the house to Brazilian Cherry hardwood including a staircase with wrought iron ballusters. AWESOME!!
Great service from the estimate, showroom visit, installation and finish. Everything was laid out in advance so we knew how the whole process would go in advance. Super place to get real first quality hardwood flooring!!
Just had to say that this company did a fantastic job helping me replace my kitchen floor after having water damage. The floors look great and it was a quick and painless process. 5 star service from beginning to end!
R&S sent Ray to our home today to measure our flooring and I give him two thumbs up! He was very knowledgeable and informative. Thank you, Ray for your expert opinion and help!
We had a horrible experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. Our floors had to be done twice. The first time they had waves & came out looking like laminate flooring. We were told by the project mgr that we got “the bad crew”. NOT ACCEPTABLE. We had to wait a few more weeks for the “good crew”. During the process we were in a hotel twice & it took several months to compete. It was a nightmare.
Alexis was amazing thank you for all your help and everything!
Consumers Beware- We hired R and S Flooring located at 8105 Moores Lane #500 in Brentwood, TN to install hardwood flooring in our master bedroom. The R and S job supervisor did not supervise our install. A worker sent to our home was a habitual felon and heroin addict and robbed our home of at least $70,000 of valuables. Our floor as well as items in our home were left damaged. An investigation determined our valuables were traded, pawned and sold to drug dealers.
Love my new floors and staircase from R&S Flooring. Clayton Phillips did an outstanding job making sure everything was done correctly and that we were happy. I highly recommend this company, especially if Clayton is your project manager. :)
Ray came to our home recently and advised regarding our wood floor. He is forthright, extremely knowledgeable, and obviously very passionate about what he does. Highly recommend!
R&S Flooring have completed several jobs for my clients and they always have a fantastic crew who I can trust. Ray Creighton provides great customer service & delivers a smooth job from start to finish. Highly recommend from me!
To say I regret using R&S Flooring to install my carpet would be an understatement; it has easily been the worst interaction with any company Ive ever had. The main reason for using R&S over other competitors was how fast they said they could complete the job (carpet upstairs, not a huge job). They were almost $1000 more than Home Depot but it was going to be worth the extra cost due to the timeliness. I was told that on Saturday a crew of guys would show up between 8-9 AM to install the carpet and would complete it that day. At 10AM on Saturday I started to make phone calls because no one had showed up. After 11AM one guy shows up; over 2 hours late and never called to let me know despite having my phone number. The carpenter works for about an hour and a half and then hurts his ankle and leaves. Carpenter says he will come back tomorrow, Sunday, with help as he may need to rely on his help due to his ankle. Understandable. Sunday rolls around and he doesnt answer his phone and doesnt show up. I dont hear from him until late in the day and he says his ankle is bothering him and will let me know if he can come on Monday. Monday rolls around and I never heard from the carpenter the prior day (it should also be noted that Monday was a holiday so the office was closed). Monday morning I get a phone call and the guy is at my front door. He never called to tell me he was coming or anything. I drive to the house to meet him and his helper. They start to put the carpet down and realize their short half the carpet they need. So, they leave an unfinished job. Back up to where I was told by R&S that the job would be done on Saturday, its now Monday. I had people/truck ready to move furniture on Sunday but was not able as the carpet is not done. Money out of my pocket. Tuesday morning at 8AM I had a post job walk-through scheduled. The walk-through was scheduled at the same time the installation date was scheduled. They scheduled it on Tuesday because they said the job would be done on Saturday. The project manager arrives and reports the situation to the store manager. The project manager apologizes and agrees some kind of compensation is due for this mess. I call the store manager and tell her what happened and how Im out money from cancelling my move. The store manager essentially says tough luck we didnt say in our contract we would have the job done in a timely manner. The fact that they told me they would be done on Saturday is irrelevant to the store manager. I also reported the damage the carpenters did to the baseboards. The baseboards were freshly painted so the damage is clear. The wood is not just scratched, it looks like the back end of a hammer was slammed into the wood. I tell the store manager who responds that this is normal construction damage. These guys could have punched a hole in the wall and she would have called it “normal construction damage”. After the store manager refuses to be helpful in any way it is confirmed that a different carpenter will be at my house tomorrow, Wednesday, to complete the job. Wednesday around 10AM I get a call from the new carpenter who says he should be there around 2-3PM. At 3PM I havent heard anything so I reach out to the new carpenter who doesnt answer. I call the project manager who says he thought the job was tomorrow, being Thursday. Bad service again. He calls and they finally send a carpenter around 4:30PM. This guy doesnt have enough time to finish the job so he has to come back on Thursday. A job that was supposed to be done on Saturday. As I write this I hope it actually does get done on Thursday. Its one thing to run a company in an untimely manner where your word does not hold weight but when you dont even care to help the customer out is another. R&S Flooring should be understanding and want to provide some customer assistance but in reality, they could care less about the consumer. If you do use this company make sure you get everything in writing or they wont keep their word.
Let me begin by detailing what we were told would happen by the salesman (which we were later told by an employee would say anything to sell the job). We were told that when our floors were done, we wouldnt be able to tell any workers were here at all. If anything got damaged, it would be repaired to perfection by the company, as if it never happened. I can assure you none of those things happened. The entire install job was so horrible it had to get redone. There was damage to both my walls and trim. Their solution was to slap a thin coat of paint on it to try to cover it up, but only made it worse. We have spent so much time fixing and repairing every bit of damage they caused, its heartbreaking when you consider how much money we paid for this low quality, horrific work. They are clearly quantity driven, not QUALITY driven.1. Job scheduled to be five days with a 5 day hotel stay. Due to the fact they did a horrible job on the install, they had to do it all over again, which required another 3 day hotel stay. Total project took 3 weeks instead of 5 days. 2. The install was terrible. There were wide gaps in the boards all over the place, nail holes werent filled in at all, boards were laid too far from the wall for trim to cover it. 3. When we pointed out all the stain the installers got on my freshly painted walls, dings in the corners that had to be repatched and walls that needed to be entirely repainted, the PMs response to us was all of that was normal. Obviously anyone who has ever experienced a good quality job, or has pride in ANYTHING they do knows better than that. I can say with absolute certainty that the amount of money I paid for them to do my floors should guarantee that NO damage be done to my home at the cost of their work in it. 4. People didnt show up for scheduled appointments and didnt offer the courtesy of a phone call, installers showed up without a clue of what work they were supposed to do. 5. They took two weeks to come back out to fix the job they screwed up, still with no kitchen or furniture. New work was more important.6. The trim work was just as awful as the initial flooring install. The shoe mold cuts were too short with corners not meeting, most of the pieces were only nailed down on the ends which meant they bowed out away from the wall in the middle, the shoe mold they replaced in my kitchen around my oak cabinets wasnt even stained to match my cabinets. 7. The paint job was just as bad. He painted over trim that was destroyed when they ripped of the shoe mold. My husband spent days replacing and repairing it. I truly regret using them to do my floors, it has been a nightmare of an experience.R&S Flooring posted here that they would reach out to me and try to make things right. They never did, just posted on this review that they would. But, no surprise, they did not reach out.
Very happy. R&S was very organized and kept me informed every step of the way. Everything was done in a timely manner.
R&S Flooring has a large selection of flooring options. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. I got multiple quotes from other companies and R&S by far was the least expensive, they worked with me to get exactly what I wanted within my budget which was very helpful. The install crew was very professional and did a wonderful job.
Ray Creighton did a great job. The flooring choice was just what we needed to blend it with older thin-slat oak. All our friends compliment us on the look it created. THANKS!
Just bought a condo downtown. Needed new floors and my friend told me to call R&S flooring.. The man that came for an estimate Ray, was exactly on time for my appointment. He really knows the products takes his job so seriously..Thanks again R&S
Ray was a super nice guy who was so knowledgeable about his work. We were impressed with his honesty and professionalism. We look forward to working with R&S!!
Ray Creighton has been extremely helpful. We had some water damage to our kitchen floors and he offered lots of options and made us feel at ease and confident with our decision.
Ray was very professional to work with and very knowledgeable. Made the process very easy and did a great job providing helpful information throughout the process of installing are hardwood floor.
Ray came over to give me an estimate on some hardwood flooring.. Very knowledgeable and gave me a great education on all of the latest products and an estimate with fair pricing. Total Professional!!!
Just had an excellent estimate with Ray from R & S Flooring - he was able to answer all of my questions and help me set my expectations. Very pleased!
Severely disappointed; and our floors arent even finished! We scheduled for them to come out and quote our floor. We pointed out the floors that needed to be patched and the fact that there was some foam that we couldnt remove ourselves. The quote comes in and doesnt include the foam removal or the patchwork. Called the office and asked for the quote to include the patchwork and foam removal and the office manager said it wouldnt be a problem. We were scheduled later that week. The day the floors were supposed to be done, one associate comes out and sees the spot that needs to be patched up. He said he didnt know about it and would have to send another guy out to fix it. Okay... maybe he didnt know! No problem. 4 hours later, the patch guy comes out and sees that some foam padding is still intact on parts of the floor. He said that he didnt realize this and needs to send out another guy to remove the foam! We didnt hear from R&S for the rest of the day. We had to call them back to ask what the heck was going on.Their reason for the delay was none of the issues we had were addressed when our floors were scheduled to be refinished. The woman we talked to implied that this was our fault for not bringing this up. ALL of this was addressed during the inspection and again reemphasized during the scheduling. Heck, even the guy that took the quote saw the floors, he saw their condition! We cant even live in the rooms! She said the closest time to get the floors done were in 2 weeks. Which doesnt make sense, since we were able to schedule the original appointment within 2 days notice. So, here we are living in our living room with a 2 month old and we still have unfinished floors. Thanks for nothing, R&S Flooring.
Ray Creighton stopped by this morning to quote a sand and refinish job at our home. He was very professional and throughly explained the process as well as any questions that were brought up. We look forward to working with Ray and his team.
R&S has terrific customer service. Ray Creighton is always quick to respond and shoots straight... quick turnaround on quotes!
We came in to look at fixing our flooring Alexis was so amazing. She helped assist with our remodel.
I have to start this off by saying, this company will beat any local estimate. Sometimes...by a significant amount.I have to call some people by name here too. It started with a visit from Clayton. He worked up the estimate for us. He was in and he was out. The amount of material was exact down to the last splinter of wood. The carpenters came in and laid the wood floor and built our wooden stairs. Mark Grissom came in and did the finishing and staining of our stairs. He matched the wood floor EXACTLY.Steve came in and did the painting. This guy didnt have to lay so much as a single piece of tape but did not only do the job perfectly... not a drop of white paint was left anywhere but on the baseboards. The finishing touch was the last bit of molding done by Aaron. Again... the craftsmanship of this job is phenomenal! We are absolutely thrilled to death with the finished product.I forgot to mention Loretta. Shes the person who will schedule everything for you. Nothing happens until she gets it on the calendar.I will admit... the project management left a little to be desired but i still have to give this company 5 stars because it is very unusual to find a group of people who pay attention to detail as much as these folks. We will definitely use them again and i would recommend them to anyone!
From start to finish, R&S Flooring treated us as their only customer! This was our first experience with new flooring and we were installing it throughout our entire home so were a bit nervous as you can imagine... The R&S showroom staff had great ideas and suggestions, including ways we could save significant money in the process. Having researched our options, I looked into flooring warehouse deals with a private installer as well as getting a quote from another full service flooring company. No other option explained the entire process or conveyed the same level of professionalism and friendliness as R&S. Although we did not choose R&S based solely on cost, we did wind up saving money by using them.I appreciate that our job was assigned a Project Manager who served as a point person and came to our home before the start of the job and when it was complete to walk through everything. Erik explained everything start to finish and we no question seemed too insignificant. R&S takes care of every part of the process from bringing a painter if needed to a plumber in bathroom flooring. While we did not have any major issues, I did reach out to him a couple of times with a question or concern and he always got back to me quickly. In fact, during each phase of the work whomever was in charge of the work that day would call to let me know when they would arrive so I was not left waiting around. The last piece of our job was the poly shading of the stairway posts, handrails and trim. I had been informed by Erik that Brad was their Rock Star and could work miracles with color and shading so he had a lot to live up to. Brad arrived with a positive attitude and friendly smile. He gave us choices as to the exact shading possibilities and actually put slightly different options on parts of the stair posts so we could see how it would look. He also made sure we viewed it in different lighting situations. before we deciding. As he worked, he noticed a few other areas in need of additional color and told us he would stay until he finished everything including touching up those areas previously done. While I know that R&S would have scheduled a time for the original workers to return to touch up those areas, Brad saved us the time and inconvenience by doing this work himself. Watching him work his magic, it was obvious that he has a vision of how each job will turn out before he begins. He is an artist at his craft.Overall, my only criticism of the entire job would be that the plumber sent by R&S did not fully bolt the pedestal sink to the wall. It was something that we did not notice until the caulking started to crack at the top of the sink. The plumber that reinstalled the toilet and pedestal sink was in and out of our house within 15 minutes Once he left we saw the toilet was a little off balance which was an easy fix but we didnt notice the sink issue for several weeks until the caulking cracked. Again, my husband was able to fix this and re-caulk around the sink but if the plumber had taken time to check over his work, it would not have happened. We love our new floors and have had so many complements on them!
Just hired R&S to fix floors after the last guy completely destroyed them. The other guy took 9 days to botch them up and R&S fixed them in 3 days! (I had to wait three weeks for their schedule to open up but it was worth it!) As soon as the guy walked in to do the work he knew exactly what the other guy had done wrong.R&S are real professionals. Worth every penny.
Ray has provided exceptional customer service. I am considering using R & S to fix a HUGE floor debacle caused by Eddie Towery at TJs Flooring (warning--NEVER use him/them!!!). Ray has taken extra time and been very patient and thorough. Much appreciated! Highly recommended!
Ray came out to the house for an estimate. Was prompt. Very courteous and answered all my questions and was extremely helpful.
Our company is using this company and the work was supposed to have been done with in a week! It’s been 2 weeks and not finished yet! Workers show up late or not at all!
R and S did a great job on my 50 year old oak floors. They look like new!
Ray Creighton and R&S Flooring in Brentwood TN are unquestionably the most professional, caring and affordable wood floor companies I have ever done business with. Top Notch, all the way.
Met with Ray Creighton for my estimate and he was really helpful and went above and beyond to try to get me the dates I needed. Looking forward to having them getting my floors done.
Thanks to Ray, our home remodeling project is off to a great start. The professionalism and quality of service is greatly appreciated and we look forward to finishing this project and calling Ray to start the next one!
I just want to commend Ray Creighton at R&S Flooring for being so knowledgeable and helpful! Its harder and harder to find those qualities, and I appreciate him, and R&S, so much. Thank you, Ray!
Not pleased with the service provided. Still waiting for the phone call back to discuss.
