Welcoming atmosphere and great place to browse through a wide variety of comics. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable of all things pertaining to comic books. Talking with the staff rejuvenated my interest in comic books and got me started on a new series to start collecting. Highly recommend this comic book store.

Ordered a single book online. Im always hesitant when ordering from a different online comic store - you never know how theyre going to pack it, or when/if theyre actually going to ship it. Well, the folks at SSC processed the order in less than 24 hours, and then shared tracking info the next day. Order arrived a few days later in significant and sturdy cardboard -- the comic was bagged/boarded and in great condition. Awesome experience, and Im sure Ill shop again.

If youre looking for a company that actually cares about their customers and their comics, then look no further than South Side Comics!I discovered South Side Comics when I was looking for somewhere to pre order TMNT The Last Ronin. Since then Ive made around 25 orders, most including 3-5 comics. They have now become my go to for any comic including non pre orders.They package them with bags and boards, wrap those in paper and then package them all in cardboard. They always arrive in perfect condition. You can tell that they care very much about the condition they arrive in.Ive only had to contact them twice and they were timely, polite and extremely helpful in resolving the issue, even when it was my own fault.1) The first time was because I had ordered 2 comics #3 and #4 in two different orders. They put #4 in the order I should have gotten #3. I let them know and they put #3 in the order I was supposed to get #4. I would have received both anyway so no harm, no foul.2) The second was my own mistake. I completed my order without changing to Shipping so it was a pick up in store order. As I live near Seattle, Washington, that wasnt going to work. I emailed them at the end of the day not expecting a response until morning. They actually got right back to me that night and cancelled my order so I could reorder with shipping.I will continue to order my comics from them and I hope one day to visit in person .

Ordered my first comic from this company and was sent the wrong comic. Was pretty disappointed, but they corrected the problem quickly and now I have the correct item.

I was a frequent customer a few years back when the shop was located in the actual South Side, and from day one the owner (Andy, I believe) was always kind and ready to talk comics. Even after I moved hours away from Pittsburgh, he was still shipping me various comics and Pops figures. He always has great prices and even better customer service. If I ever move back, this will be the comic shop I frequent once again. Best in Pittsburgh, I say!

I was so excited when this shop opened up on Brownsville rd! My husband and I are constantly at one comic shop or another and the fact that they moved so close to us gives us the chance to visit the shop quite often! The guy that works there is always so nice and helpful and willing to help us find anything we need! My husband picked up a comic for me there today that weve been looking all over for and theyve had the widest selection so far for the series Ive been working on!

South side comics is without a doubt the best comic shop in the area. As a shopper of both the brick and mortar store and the online shop, I can say both are an exceptional experience with excellent customer service thanks to the standards set by the owner. If you havent tried South Side Comics as your comic shop, I would definitely recommend it.
