I recently dove for the first time during a trip to Thailand. I was immediately hooked...no pun intended. Upon returning to Nashville, TN I met up with Dan at the Scuba Shack who was excited to assist me on my new adventure with diving. Once I completed the online PADI course, I setup my meeting with Dan and we were off to the water to finish my training. Dan and his team were amazingly knowledgeable, patient and worked with me at my pace. They took their time and ensured I mastered all the required skills. Their expertise made it effortless for me. Im so glad I made the decision to take part in the underwater experience of diving and Im grateful I found Scuba Shack to guide me along my way.

I reached out to this school to get my wife and daughter certified as well as to take a refresher course for me as I had not dived in awhile. Dan and his school were very accommodating in scheduling us in. The course work and dives were fantastic and done at a pace that worked well for all to learn what was needed. I have been diving since 1983 and can say from experience that Scuba Shack is of the highest caliber service.

A group of friends and myself took the open water diver course this weekend. While we didn’t complete all of our check dives this weekend we did have an awesome time. We spent our first day with Sarah, who was awesome. We spent today with Dan who was also awesome. Both days there was a dive master on hand as well as our instructors, safety was paramount. We all had a great time and learned a ton. The focus was on learning and mastering the skills needed to be a safe diver, however those skills were being taught in a fun and engaging format that really made us feel comfortable. I would 100% recommend scuba shack Nashville and their instructors. We will be back next week finishing up our check dives and can’t wait.

I recently completed the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy class with Dan and I highly recommend him as an instructor. He is patient and clearly explains concepts and skills, taking the extra step to explain why we are doing what we are doing. We were in a mixed group of individuals including some who were doing a refresher and others completing their open water certification. He was able to incorporate all the students in the same group, ensuring that each had what they needed but that the group was moving forward and learning together. Ill definitely be relying on Dan for future training needs.

What a gem to find a great scuba shop and awesome dive instructor close to home in Brentwood! I have had several instructors over many years and Dan is the best! Dan is truly expert but also fun and thorough and he transfers knowledge well - you just know you are in good hands! My dh had to do recertification as he lost his dive card from long ago. Dan and the shop really helped out as we had a short deadline before flying off for an overseas dive trip. We bought some new equipment too - we are enjoying it - and the dive leaders here in Bahamas have all complimented us on it :). Great all around experience with Scuba Shack!

I got my open water certification through Scuba Shack. They have a very knowledgeable and helpful staff as well as a great selection of equipment. My instructor was Dan. He is absolutely amazing! His skills and ability to instruct is unparalleled. He was extremely educated and qualified, patient, articulate, safe, caring, and supportive beyond words. I got my Open Water certification through Scuba Shack. Dans instruction strikes the right balance between focus on safety and essential skills while also keeping things fun. Dan is honest in his recommendations, he wants to set his students up for a life long love of diving. Scuba Shack offers Open Water courses regularly and I was able to get certified just in time for my first diving vacation.

Excellent experience, I just finished my certification today. Dan is awesome and patient and makes sure youre comfortable and learning each skill properly.

Dan is fantastic. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable when working with my 10 year old son. He is very accommodating and a great personality.

Went in to see about taking up scuba diving and Dan was great. They are great local dive shop with a good selection of inventory. The guys at the shop are extremely nice and very helpful.

Came here for a pair of swim fins and was very pleased with the service. I think it was Lucile that helped me out. She was very patient, kind, and explained everything that needed explaining. It was obvious that she had a passion for being in the water and helping others enjoy it as well.Ms. Lucile told me that they could get anything in stock for me within 7 days or so but thankfully, they had a couple of different options of fins that would have worked for me. Ive since tried out the swim fins and they have worked well! Im glad Lucile knew how to fit them properly for me. I do not regret my purchase and will be back to the Scuba Shack in the future if needed.

Very nice young man. But the store has minimal selection of scuba clothes and accessories. Before going call to make sure the store actually have it in stock.

Brad and the new manager of this establishment are excellent instructors. We had a number of issues related to a previous employee, but it appears that the new direction they are embarking on is a positive for their company and future students.

If you need scuba or snorkeling supplies, this is a great shop with helpful staff. Great location in Brentwood, but they also have a second Scuba Shack in Old Hickory. Also, if interested, they can get you PADI certified and they plan group diving trips.
