Dont be afraid of a long line at ec4b, it moves quickly. And try to look ahead at the treats behind the glass before you get to that spot because the number of items can be overwhelming and the people behind you want their breakfast too!I looked at the menu online to get a head start on my selections. Each item is truly a taste of Europe. I went with a big appetite and picked The Nest Eggs (egg with bacon pieces croissant), Brewster Bun and to finish, Pain au Chocolat! Yes, I ate all 3 for breakfast. (Lunch was salad.) It was amazing. One of my companions had the Pistachio Croissant and wished they had bought 2.There are gluten-free items, but call the day before to order.Savior the moment, dont rush eating these Delights.
Excellent pastries! Everything you want in a croissant: delicate flakes raining from layers you can count and rich chocolate or quality ham and cheese. Yum! They also have pies, quiche, and a pecan and caramel sweet roll that is fabulous! There is often a line, especially on the weekends, but they have an efficient method and the line moves quickly. Baked fresh, so when theyre gone, theyre gone!
Eat Cake for breakfast provided the best granola bars for our daughters Welcome Bags for her Cape Cod home wedding. In addition, Danielle made the absolute best French pastry desserts for the wedding reception. They were as beautiful to look at as they were delicious to eat. Danielle is a baker extraordinaire. She is easy to work with, reliable and your guests will be delighted.
There are a bunch of great spots for breakfast pastries on The Cape, and this place should be on your list. A nice selection of sweet and savory offerings, I tried the cranberry scone, the Brewster bun (cinnamon roll-esque & wicked tasty), and the almond croissant. All were good and very nice people behind the counter means we will be stopping back here again!
Yum! Beautiful presentation, delicious pastries! Did I say YUM yet?!! I will be back here!
Been stalking this place since I found out we were moving to Cape Cod. Finally made my way in today. They were busy but the staff was so extremely helpful and kind. The coffee was great and the pastries and quiche were awesome!
The BEST on Cape Cod. Everything from the yummy Brewster buns, to the incredible New Yorker croissants - I am so grateful to live close by to Eat Cake 4 Breakfast and am able to visit weekly. Danielle and her staff are always super friendly and helpful. The line is well worth the wait!!!!
Excellent pastries! Almond croissants are awesome. Everything else too.
Get the brewster buns!! so good. i bet everything on the menu is really good.
You need to go here ASAP! The scones and pastries are to die for..best bakery in the Cape. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful inside as well, loved the turquoise theme. I will be coming back!
Scones are out of this world! Friendly staff. Lovely grounds with ample room for seating. All around great!
I woke up early and got their brewster bun & this cheese and ham croissant. It was delicious. High quality you can tell that they care for their food
Best bakery on the Cape. Almond croissantmy favorite.👍 Check day and times open before coming if you are a new customer.I got disappointed the day I first showed up and not open.👎🏿
Amazing pastries! Must go to! Pain chocolat and Brewster Bun were mouth watering! 😋
Go take a look!! Its always a good decision, amazing pastries and more! Bread Pudding and quiche, too good for words!
Rude and dismissive person at front of store. My wife asked for her quiche (which is EGG) warmed up and the lady said they arent heating things up at the moment. Not sure if youve ever eaten cold eggs (they are nasty for those who havent had the pleasure) but for a place to sell egg and not warm it up, bizarre and/or lazy. If its due to COVID, then take the egg stuff off the shelf. No one likes cold egg.EDIT: immediately after writing this, I took a sip of the latte we ordered. It was half froth and only half full of coffee. I ordered a large and got less than a small size worth of actual coffee. This reinforced my thoughts about a very lazy and careless worker at the front of the store.
I loved the New Yorker and the valrhona brownie muffin. Scrumptious.
A palace of a patisserie... ! Glorious to behold, divine to devour, an aroma to die for -- a real treasure, and were lucky enough to have them in our little town ; because theyd be A-list anywhere from Paris to P-Town. Hard to call out faves cause everythings a standout, but Southern Comfort Buns and Pistachio Chocolate Croissants are must-have for our family!
The single most organized and efficient staff on all of Cape Cod. And the pastries are excellent!
Their baked goods are amazing. Was here for a weekend trip and the only reason for four stars and not five is I wish they had capabilities of heating up their baked goods.
Brewster buns are amaizing and the scones are the perfect consistency.
Delicious! Get the almond or pistachio pastries.
We went here on a recent trip to the Cape and I would absolutely recommend making a stop at Eat Cake 4 Breakfast! We ordered a ham and cheese croissant, a Brewster bun (because the reviews for it said we had to try it) and a cheese danish. Everything was amazing and fresh. Their pastries are all extremely well done!Their staff is handling corona and the new requirements wonderfully. There was someone outside the door to greet us and explain how to follow their corona guidelines. Staff was attentive to following it and I was happy to hear them politely ask someone to please have their mask over their nose.In addition, I’m really happy to say the wheelchair accessibility here was phenomenal. You can tell they’ve gone above and beyond because the handicap parking spot in their gravel parking lot has paving stones leading all the way to their ramped entry so you don’t have to worry about getting caught up in a gravel pathway.
It made my entire morning it was just awesome
Very serious Covid-19 protocols, keeping everyone safe and the pastries are just divine!
I just left here and had to immediately leave a review. Beautiful bakery inside, extremely clean and well designed. The food was absolutely amazing, I will be back ASAP. All around a delicious class act establishment
Awesome croissants...
Fabulous bakery, huge selection of exceedingly tasty items. Brewster buns are a favorite, almond croissants come in a close second oh and then everything else. Worth the trip and worth the wait
Quality bakery with a French flair
Amazing. Went in to get a little bite to eat and a coffee. I am a flavored coffee person but I got a ice cappuccino it was wonderful very smooth very nice. Got a couple things to eat for breakfast the Brewster bun was wonderful would highly recommend!
I have had Almond Croissants at every bakery on Cape Cod. The only ones that are as good as in Paris or on St Martin are at Eat Cake 4 Breakfast. Other baked good and cookies are also great. A little expensive but worth the indulgence.
Food was excellent but the person taking the order was a bit rude and dismissive.I’m sorry that I don’t like foam in my Latte it seemed to be a burden to her oh well I’ll never visit this establishment again
So delicious.... Really everybody should eat cake for breakfast! They will be moving down the street in March of 2020.Be sure to try the amazing Brewster Bun !Fluffy, not to sweet. You will want one for the road.
Absolutely love Eat Cake! Every time I have gone the energy is AMAZING! So friendly! Special shout out to who was working the door, Saturday June 13th! Waiving as I pulled into the parking lot and a big “GOOD MORNING” as I got out of my car! What a great way to start my morning. Even with masks on I knew the women working inside were smiling! Great energy! I ordered Brewster Buns (as always), quiche Lorraine, SO DELICIOUS, cruffins and chocolate croissants. Definitely the best bakery on the Cape! Try one of everything!
Whats not to love. A huge exercise in self control to just get a cup of coffee this morning. The baked goods are beyond wonderful. A Brewster Bun actually spoke to me and said betchya cant resist me suckah. But my belt said Im being crushed by your gut. Please hold off. So I copped the line from gone with the wind and told the bun tomorrow is another day The bun chortled to itself evilly as I went to the register to pay for my coffee, Fat boy cant remember we wont be open again till Wednesday
Another pie please. Get there early or pre order pies sellout. Worth every calorie!
Great food, well organized for social distancing. Fast and efficient.
Delicious! Treat yourself to a breakfast treat! Friendly greeter, system in place to move you safely through for your order
Absolutely fabulous.
Worth the visit any time
Very Good Pastry
Resembles a french patisserie. Every row of baked goods custards tarts is clean picture perfect and delicious. Amazing variety. Carries some gluten free homemade goods. Open till 2pm .
I had a delightful chocolate pistachio croissant. My grandson loved his baggett and my granddaughter liked her plain croissant. Coffee from a local roaster is also available.
Creative breakfast spot in Brewster
2 stars for being cute and aesthetically pleasing but staff a bit impatient when we were enjoying looking at the options and kept asking so is that what you want. Also, $5 bucks for a cold cheese n ham croissant that no, our oven is too big to heat anything up is twice as expensive as Boston just for being on the Cape... just not worth it. Oh, and why would you sell quiche cups if you had no way to heat them up... invest in a little toaster oven or kitchen salamander perhaps? problem solved!
Best bakery on Cape. Frankly one of the better bakeries Ive been to. Were camping at Nickerson and this was a welcome change from what weve been able to cook in a skillet.
We stopped in while biking and had a Brewster roll (flaky French croissant like cinnamon roll) it was delicious...also almost $5 so pricey, but great. The baguette looked awesome and much more reasonably priced. Many dessert treats looked amazing too.
Lovely place!!
Dont go here. You will just make the line in front of me longer. (Although the scones are well worth waiting for.)
Best bakery around! Love the Brewster Buns, fruit tarts and croissants, especially smoked turkey and asiago. Excellent coffee.
Small selection, but they do it well.
After travelling to France several times per year, Eat Cake for Breakfast is aways the highest level of artistry in pastry and baked goods. My favorite is the Raspberry Turnovers, Brewster Buns and the chocolate pistachio croissant. Amazing. ❤️😘❤️❤️
Hard to find a place that is a bakery, live up to actually be deserving of the title. I will be visiting again the next time I go to the Cape! Everything I bought was delightful.
What a great spot. dont have to got up to wellfleet for french pasties! everything is delicious. just go and indulge!
I saw this place on Instagram just before they opened up. They had a bunch of cute posts with desserts that looked amazing, so when I went to the cape that summer, my mom and I decided to try them out. That was maybe 2014 or 2015. Now Eat Cake For Breakfast is one of our go-to stops every time were at the cape. We get a huge assortment of stuff when we first get there and nibble at it for the next few days. Ive never had tarts as good as theirs, and the mousse is amazing. Make Eat Cake For Breakfast a part of your vacation traditions, you wont regret it.
The prices are steep but you get what you pay for. The quality and freshness are undeniable. I like the blueberry danish topped with real, whole blueberries. None of that jelly stuff you find in the can! Every pastry and bread item there is equally as thoughtful.
We found them in the Edible Cape Cod magazine. Stopped off the rail trail for a snack to break up our bike trip. We tried two fruit tarts, an almond croissant, and a Brewster bun. Everything we had was DELICIOUS! Such friendly and efficient service. Making a point to make this our last stop before we head off The Cape!
Perfect cappuccino and pastries to go with. Lovely place
Delicious pastries and lovely staff, we stopped by on the last day of our vacation and immediately regretted not having eaten here every day! The Brewster Bun is a cinnamon muffin dealie which was wonderful, we also had a terrific pistachio crusted chocolate croissant, a turkey and asiago croissant, and we heard that the New Yorker was amazing - which could explain why they were already sold out by the time we got there. Great place for light breakfast fare and coffee -
Very good pastries. A bit overpriced (usually costs as much or more than eating a traditional breakfast out) and very limited coffee choices. Overall, pretty good though.
THE BEST PASTRIES EVER!!
So good. Heard from a local that the pastry chief studied in France. The crusts of both the danish and fruit tart are just right. Coffee is pretty good.
High quality, fresh, unique bakery goods. Well worth a drive from nearby towns on the cape. (Or a stop from the adjacent bike path). Fast, friendly, efficient service.
Always friendly, the pastries are out of this world and they are displayed so beautifully. Reasonably priced. Great new place a must try
The best pastries on the Cape!
Pecan sticky bun was out of this world. Espresso was Nespresso, which loses them a star.
The best almond croissants i have ever had.
Beautiful deserts and great service.
Really delicious and friendly welcoming service! We came all the way for the UK just to try (kinda 😉)
I wanted to special order a cake for my wife’s birthday. I asked if they did custom cakes but was told they only do what is listed on their website because they are a french style bakery. I finally decided on the cheesecake…I got the call late Sunday morning that the cake was ready, so I planned to pick it up on Tuesday (the day of her birthday)..I was informed that they were closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and close at 12pm on Sundays. I ended up having to call my brother to get the cake because I was at work.I was already a little disappointed because the cake was 3 days old by the time we served it. The cheesecake didn’t really have any flavor and seemed a little overcooked. As we were serving it, two slices had large pieces of eggshells in them. Overall my experience was not great and will consider elsewhere for cakes in the future.
Five pieces of pastry cost over $26.00. To be worth that price it would have had to be the best pastry in the universe. Sadly it was not.
Very exquisite and unique pastry, breads and drinks (high end soft drinks and coffees, expresso, lattes etc.). Great presentation, but early and short hours. Excellent!
Excellent treats and coffee!
Great coffee. Delicious fresh baked pastries.
One only table inside. Good food. My daughter loved the chocolate mousse.
Amazing selection, the variations of croissants are all delicious. Definitely recommend for your sweet tooth needs
Try anything they have, maybe get two of each, you know so you can share with me.
Nice place with a lot of great muffins, croissants and other bakeries. I enjoyed every bite of my order.
Great almond croissants
Pastries are amazing. Brewster Buns are extraordinarily delicious. Staff are friendly. Items are beautifully displayed.
Brewster Buns and the ham and cheese crossaint good lord this place is tasty! Highly recommend, get there early for the Brewster buns!
They have the most scrumptious Greek Pannacotta yogurt with blueberries and their Brewster buns are to die for. Friendly staff #FindYourCape
Amazing! Brewster buns are the best! Hard to choose what to have because everything is A-One. Dont miss this one!
Wonderful pastries. We always look forward to picking up breakfast. Friendly too.
Order a Fraisier cake for my moms 80th birthday...everyone loved it...this is my second bday cake with them...
Fantastic cakes. There are a few tables and chairs and picnic benches outside with limited shade to eat there.
