I really love this place. Im completely willing to travel from the city all the way to Bridgton. I usually find what Im looking for, plus some things I didnt know I wanted. The produce is fresh and if you come on a Friday mid-day its FRESH fresh...I mean fresh off the truck. The prices are very reasonable, sometimes better than even Walmart prices. I find myself looking for any reason to go back.

Great place for South Asian grocery items that are hard to find elsewhere. Staff is also friendly and great at helping find things. Highly recommend!

Rule of a thumb at Indian Stores — Always check expiration date for packaged goods. !!ALWAYS!! I’ve had many instances where item was expired. I know the fact that product is not damaged goods for couple of weeks or may be months after expiration date but usually that privilege is for consumer not the retailer. Also Store can be little clean and organized.

Not a good place. They cheat people by selling expired and low quality items. In the back of the shop they team sitting to blacken the dates and more over change. Never go to Ambica, you will risk your kids, yourself and your family

Best place to shop for Indian products and kitchen items . Owner and girl on the counter are kind . They have always helped me with products which I was not able to locate and given suggestion when needed . I can get almost everything which is on my list while visiting this place . They got good selection of pantry, produce, frozen food, puja items and other day to day Indian items . Be careful abt the expiration dates of frozen items though .

I drive 20 mins to go there every week even though I have 2 Indian stores less than 5 mins from my place. They have a wide variety of items and freshly made snacks too. They get fresh vegetables every Friday and Sunday I believe. Among the options available in St. Louis, I would recommend this store for Indian grocery .

Great price! The stocks are fresh and well prior to the expiration date. Fresh produce are available on Tuesdays and Fridays.

I like their selection in fresh produce. I can no longer find fresh turmeric there. I have a hard time accepting the way many of your pastes are sealed.

Ambica has considerably deteriorated in its service, every time I buy something there, I need to double-check my bill, I am always overcharged.They have a ton of stuff thats expired; I come home, open a packet, and see something is soggy only to realize that its expiry date is over almost a year ago. I am now not going to shop there.

For indian groceries, good to go here. Little bit on expensive side.

Avoid. Lot of items are way beyond the shelf life. We saw Mango pulp that had the best before date of 2017. There were even products that had expired way back in 2014. The lady at the counter seemed least bothered when we told her about the products that were way beyond the best before date.

Please check your bill and items before leaving the store, I was overcharged almost every time or one of the items might be missing.

Most of the stuffs here are expired ones, better to check the date before buying. In some of the stuff date is printed but those are not the original ones, he has erased the original date of expiry and put a new seal so pl pl make sure you check the dates before buying anything from this shop.

Don’t go the store and don’t buy any of their product most of them are expired in hurry I didn’t check the expiry date, on one product that I bought is a year expired health inspector should shut down their Shope before some body get serous sick using their product

Very good if you are looking for a specific type of commodity no available elsewhere but here. General presentation on inside premises seem not to meet American standards. Checkout not so good either.

As immediately after getting my payment bill I wanted to return an item as few items price were exorbitantly high and without price tag for me to know beforehand, the shopkeeper became rude claiming he will be charged with $1..My suggestions explore other stores.There are lots of Asian, Indian and Nepalese stores in St. louis that will provide better service with very economical price.

Store owner does not know how to speak with his customers. Rude and disrespectful. Price tags are different even on same products it seems like they make their own prices based on customers. Most of the produce is past expiration date which they hide it with a sticker on top or if you ask them for new product they tell you dont worry about expiration date it is still good . I will tell my friends and family to not to shop at this store.

Best Indian grocery in around St Louis area . I stay very far from this shop, but still love to shop in this shop then going to near by .

I have been here many times and every time i end up with something thats gone bad. And each time I decide that I will not go here again but there arent many other options around here.Probably half of their packaged foods are expired and yet they still keep them on the shelves. Bought Pani puris today and they didnt have expiry date, so I took a chance. Sure enough, they smelled and was not crunchy as it should be.

The place is good for indian food ingredients but please check the expiry date before buying. I made a mistake of not checking it and once I was back home I realized that some stuff I bought was already expired.

Its a good place as an Indian Store, but compared to Patel Brothers there is lot many items missing in it.

Love the food, great selection, cashier was quite rude. Dropping food into the bags as if she was afraid to touch it or was simply annoyed that African and African-American people were in her store.

Wonderful place to buy Asian and African food eg. Nduma, Ngwaci, Njahi and many more.

They have most of the things available, but at the time of billing they made mistake they charged us extra for the things we didn’t buy. This thing was not acceptable. We were talking to him and he just did his work 😕

If they could organize it a bit plus have the same foods all the time, Id give it a better rating. I had to wait 15 minutes to get help.

Wrostes experience today... I get very bad experience with employee & stuff & prices... when I buy a real farali chevada it was expired since 15th may 2017, I bring at front desk but nobody there ...all 3 girl employee seat at the corner and two girls are talking each other & 3rd on chat on cellphone ... when I go there & ask for that expired thing then she just take from me & go back to corner, start taking with other girl..she even not come that aisle & see me other things .... all the prices are different then it see on doors..when I ask at front she even dont care or not sorry for that ... even when I looking for stuff but I cant find then I ask to front but she just wave fingers & go back to corner.. I buy kachori & samosas without Chatney...hahahaha...then finally I ask for maheshbhai then one girl told me he is not here ..then I understand why they enjoy in corner ... and then I stop asking anything & more about wrong pricing to them & just pay & get out ASAP... actually I want to buy more stuff but coz of bad experience I just by $113.26...I will go with bill again when maheshbhai there... but today I feel I go wrong ...

Google lists this as an Asian grocery store, however it offers more Indian food. I will come back when I need Persian and Indian ingredients. The staff was friendly, however the store was not tidy when I visited.
