We were traveling from TX home to NY and broke down starting in TN. We stopped our 3rd time braking down at this Chevy dealer. They took the time to figure out why my car wasn’t letting me drive further than 90 miles. They changed the modular for the Transmission and my car drove so much better. Working with Savannah was awesome and she kept us in the loop all the time. I wish I lived closer because this for sure would be the service/dealership I would work with.

(2017 Chevy Colorado Z71) Purchasing went great. Quick and efficient. Jay was super helpful. Finance guy, Stephen I believe, was awesome. Definitely knew his stuff and helped me get the right coverage I needed. Was a little disappointed that I had to being the truck in to have the transmission flushed two days later though. Through my pre purchase research I knew it was a problem with those trucks. Did not feel the rumble on the test drive but felt it about 10 minutes into the ride home after purchase. Very glad it was still under warranty though and the maintenance department had me back on the road within two days. However I do feel like that is something that should have been discovered and fixed in the certified pre-owned inspection. Regardless, I am super happy with my purchase and thankful! Love my new truck. Only reason not for 5-stars was the transmission deal.

Went into the Service Dept to check on my 2020 Silverado. There is a squeak in the front end. They checked over the whole front end and couldnt find anything but checked the bullitens to see what the problem is. Even though there was no resolution they are going to keep up with it and let me know when there is a fix. They were very nice and explained everything!

They have great customer service in the service department!I bought a certified pre-owned Silverado at this dealership. I live in Kingsport and was having it serviced here. There was a issue with the air conditioning not cooling so I called courtesy and they said it would be 100 bucks just to scan it. I was kinda upset because it only has 60000 miles so in my opinion they should at least check it. I decided to call Bill Gatton and they said bring it on up and we will check it out! They explained it is out of the bumper to bumper warranty but we will look it over for you. It ended up that the compressor had failed and was warranted so they fixed my truck at no charge. Just the fact there were willing to check it out went a long way with me! I wouldn’t have minded to pay for the repairs if they were not warrantied. I completely appreciate this kind of service and the way my issue was handled. I will definitely give them my business moving forward even though I have to drive to Bristol!

Purchased a brand new Tahoe 8-17-2020, had to make service appointment on9-3-2020, paint peeling,bubbling,head liner frayed and wrinkling,doors wont shut properly,water coming in top of doors,ALL OF THEM, paint lines, paint blobs,leather on passenger seat cut under the panels of leather, signal light wont cut off after a shop left or right, to which the manager said its a setting BS! with all these issues they will not honor the warranty, Theyre general manager or manager told my husband and myself that its out of their hands! This vehicle had 70 miles on it when purchased, they have done everything possible to dodge what they should do,

We found a car we were interested in online. We worked with Zach getting pictures and information. Since we live almost 3 hours away he volunteered to shorten our drive by meeting us part way at their sister car lot to take a test ride. We loved the car. Zach and their service man helped with a tail pipe/muffler issue and did 100% to make us happy at a price that we thought was a fair deal. We highly recommend this dealership and our salesman Zach. Our only regret is we live too far away for routine service because we trust them. But we will look for another car there in the future. Well worth the drive!

I brought my new Sliverado in for an oil change on 7/21 and was greeted at the Service Department by Charity.Thanks to the knowledge and professionalism of Charity, the whole experience was great. You can tell she really loves her job and that she takes a lot of pride in the work she does, and despite having to wear a mask for the COVID 19 crisis her welcoming, kind and courteous personality came right through. She identified some recalls on my truck and she had the service technician take care of those recalls for me that same day. She made me feel right at home while my truck was being serviced, offering me water and a seat in the waiting area off to the side of the Service Department. As soon as the technician had finished the recalls and oil change on my truck, Charity promptly came to the waiting area and brought me back to the Service Department desk, reviewing in detail all that had been done to my truck by the service technician. It was one of the best experiences Ive had when visiting the Service Department of any auto dealer, and that includes Toyota, Ford, Acura, and Infinity. Clone Charity and put her throughout GM, she is a real asset to your company!

You have to put at least one star, otherwise they wouldnt get any. I had a deal done with the exception of them doing an alignment in their own shop. Jay Hall and the manager wouldnt pay the $60 to do it, even though it was a safety issue. I wouldnt buy a bottle of water from their dealership if I was dying in a desert and I would highly suggest finding a different dealership, not Bill Gatton Chevrolet!

Bought a used van in July. The panic alarm continues to go off and make the lights come on which then kills the battery. It went to shop three times and was fixed in September I thought(Gatton paid for the services at least). I knew it was a Lemon and has huge electrical issues because now it is doing the exact same thing. In September I tried to work with them to get me into a different vehicle agreeing to raise payments a little and they couldn’t even work with me. And this is the email I get after telling them that it wasn’t working again and dead in my driveway:After talking with my General Manager Dave Meade you should bring it back to the Honda store and have them look at it. If it is the same part it MAY be covered under the parts warranty.

This Chevrolet dealership is outstanding. I am from NC and had my vehicle break down on I 81. It was towed to Gatton Chevrolet. I spoke to David Meade on a Saturday after the service department had closed. He assured me he would diagnose the issue before making repairs and notify me of the findings. I received the call that the fuel pump had failed. He quoted the repair cost and I agreed to the quote. The vehicle was repaired on one day, again outstanding. I made plans to rent a car to drive to Bristol to pick up my vehicle. David Meade arranged for Steve Hall to pick me up from the airport, 30 minutes away, and take me to the dealership to retrieve my vehicle. The staff at Bill Gatton Chevrolet are very professional, very polite and treated me as if I were part of the family. Thanks again to all of the great people I meet and helped me thru this tough time.

I purchased a used vehicle and still cannot believe what a truly wonderful experience it was. My salesman Tom actually picked up my vehicle at my home, had a trade evaluation done Got me the price I needed for my trade. Negotiated the price on the vehicle I was purchasing a 2018 F150. All financing was done over internet and phone. Tom brought my new vehicle to the house the next day I signed the paperwork and now have a new vehicle. This was hassle free no haggling I got the vehicle I wanted for the price I wanted it was great. I really cant believe how easy this was. I came to Bill Gatton Chevy to look at a used truck that I had seen online. Man, Im glad I did!! I was promptly greeted by DJ. I would highly recommend asking for him. He answered all of my questions and helped me in every way that he could. Ended up buying the truck. Everything was above average, except when I went to deal with the guy in the business/finance office. Its no wonder they keep him from being a salesman, 0 people skills and no personality. Aside from that, I will gladly visit this dealership in the future!

Negative one star.Bill Gatton Chevrolet took full advantage of my situation with needing a car. Go ANYWHERE BUT HERE. My car was supposed to be 18k. I have a cosigner with a credit score in the 800s and put 4k down after working on a deal with financing and my total amount owed comes to 32,231 after 6 years of financing with 14% interest.I just spoke with the financing company and Bill Gatton gave them the wrong social security number and put my address as FL instead of TN. I spoke with multiple people on the phone for weeks securing this deal because I live almost 2 hours away. I spoke with a friend who recommended Carl I gave a list of what I needed in a vehicle and that I couldnt do over 250 for a monthly payment, as I am about to sign the papers the financial manager says the payments are gonna be 394! I made it clear I was not happy and debated backing out of the deal but I had already put down 500 to take the car off the lot and been passed around their employees for two weeks. I got the run around of you need to bring this, and this oh and we forgot this too. At that point, I was ready to be done and reluctantly signed with the intention of refinancing through my bank.I will tell EVERYONE I COME INTO CONTACT WITH TO NEVER EVER EVER GO TO BILL GATTON.The service was disorganized and sleazy. Dont let the big fancy dealership, nice cars and suits fool you. They are your regular back alley screw you seven ways till sunday snakes.

Went to find a new Silverado and the salesman showed me four in the color I wanted explaining the different options on each. I was able to make a deal on my trade in and they filled the gas tank while I signed the paperwork. After the sale was done the salesman still took the time to answer my questions, set everything up the way I like it and show me additional features I was not aware of. Great experience overall.
