Each store is set up just a little differently but always beautifully. Staff warm, welcoming and very helpful. Always satisfied when I shop at any Pier 1.

My in-store experience was/has been exceptional! I have always had great customer service except in the Shrewsbury, MA store. I have been to at least 10 different Pier 1 stores in different states and enjoyed almost every experience for more than 40 years.The staff at the Bristol, CT went above & beyond what would be normal customer service to try to make sure I got what I was looking for. When it wasnt possible, Stephanie made helpful suggestions, and this was after the store was officially closed! I could not believe the lengths she was willing to go while maintaining a pleasant disposition with a smile.If only the website & the Rewards program were as customer friendly. I have never ordered online and NOT had a problem. I cant even change my phone # on my account. I have gone through the process numerous times, & made sure I hit the save option. Immediately after I click on the save account information, all my changes revert back to what I was trying to change. This along with a terribly inaccurate inventory system, caused me to drive an hour to pick up what I thought I ordered but was unable to get as a result of erroneous information & glitches in their system. The store tried contacting me numerous times but had the wrong phone #. Thanks Pier 1 and thank you for all the hundreds of dollars I lost in Rewards that had a time limited usage. Shrewsbury would not recognize my rewards that had just expired a day before. After that, I didnt even attempt to use them if I couldnt make the limited time frame.I have a pile of old rewards, that I have been saving to remind me not to shop at Pier 1.But,if I do choose to shop there, I dont use their card. It is too frustrating & annoying.Oh yeah, good luck to anyone trying to get through to customer service on the phone. Unless you call a store directly, expect to wait a very long time & then speak to someone who is annoyed and really could care less about your issue. I was unable to find out the name of the color I had ordered the previous year because those orders were no longer visible on my accout and I wanted to get matching pieces. I was told they couldnt help me cause their system didnt go back that far.All in all, I do love everything I have purchased. Being a former designer, I try to find unique and beautiful things that I can use in a way that make them my own. Pier 1 has great buyers!

Stuck up version of HomeGoods. If you like to spend more so you can brag about how much you spent. This is your place. Same quality items can be found at HomeGoods for half the price.

Candle section not very well stocked, but still bought some really nice decorations fory living room.

Didnt go to Pier 1. I went to Pet Valu next door to get a new winter coat for my little dog.

Very particular store not always easy to find items one may need but a good store if you are looking for an unusual item. Find it a bit pricey
