I haven’t looked into my own backyard for a while now, but when I did, I noticed something I haven’t seen before. Honestly, I find diners to be a ‘last resort’ when it comes to finding a mid-day snack but this spot found its place. The “Hearty Breakfast (option #1)” was great, can’t go wrong with beautiful buttermilk. Service was rather okay, but not spectacular. This place is small, convenient, affordable—everything you’d expect, but matched with mediocre service and halfway smiles. If you’re looking for something quick (and can’t find anything else), take a left at Howard Street.

3 eggs perfectly cooked, a nice thick slab of baked ham, well cooked home fries and well buttered rye toast, served by friendly help. $5.75! I had not been in for several years but will now add it to my regular breakfast rotation. This is a good breakfast place. If your in the neighborhood and feeling hungry stop in, you will be glad you did.

Wait staff is decent but the owner served us our food without even a hello, no smile, and had an unbelievable & blatant attitude as if we did something wrong to her by coming into her restaurant, ordering food and paying her. I was blown away by the way she treated us for no reason. To top it off, the food sucked. Never going back.

Great food but the disappointed looks on the girls faces when myself and a party behind me walked in at 11:35 I will never forget.. I felt so unwelcomed! Then the conversation was worse.. one girl mumbled something and the other says, told you you should have locked the doors I was not greeted at all! I had to ask for a menu as they continued their conversation and ignored me. Part of me wanted to turn around and walk away and go next door to the pizza place! I ordered my food and left without tipping! I normally tip very well as I am a server in the restaurant industry. The food is excellent but Ill continue to go next door for my regular spinach wrap

Great place if your into breakfast food and I am not. Thats one of the reasons it didnt get 5 stars and its not the cleanist place.

Worse service i ever had. Food was good. But the girl cleaning the tables was rude. All the servers that worked 5/19/2019 was bad. We took forever getting drinks and took us 45 minutes to just pay for our breakfest. They just kept staring at us but wouldnt come over to let us pay. So we finally just left cash and walked out. They must have alot of people walking out without paying because they seem like they dont want to help you specially when its time to pay and it wasnt that crowded at all. Will never go back.
