We love Palen in Broken Arrow! Ben is always so nice and super helpful. Their maintenance plans are great and affordable for the level of care they provide. We love going here for all our band/instrument needs.

My daughters clarinet needed a minor repair 2 weeks in a row, ugh! But we took it in to Palen and the repair guy was able to fix it both times in under 20 minutes. The guy at the front desk was very nice also! We started chatting about the clarinet, it is 70 years old, and he looked it up and told us a little about the history of the model and manufacturer. Made the time go by faster.

The whole community of Palen Music is supportive and helpful. The staff is experienced and knowledgable and will go out of their way to help out in time of need. Weve been with Palen Music Center for several years and have never been disappointed.

They are always so nice and sweet every time that I come. They will get you in and out as quickly as possible and they do it with a smile. I wouldn’t go anywhere else to get my instrument fixed.

I have not received any confirmation on my order and my order history shows nothing on your sight. However my bank statement says otherwise. Used them to get my son an instrument for band. I did everything online. You tell them the school and the instructor and they do the rest. I chose to pick it up but they will also deliver to the school. I walked in gave them the name and they came back in 2 min with the instrument and a bag with everything else the band instructor required. I don’t see how they could make the process any easier.

The BA one doesn’t have a lot of guitar stuff in stock but they usually have the strings I need. The website I guess shows stuff at their big store somewhere else but I got a tuner and strap and they always have strings and picks. The people are nice and the prices are pretty good on the small stuff. The salesmen said they can get stuff sent from the big store if you want to try out a guitar and you won’t have to pay for it which is pretty cool to. Good place if you need just some strings and picks at a fair price

The best place to rent instruments for your kids for school band. We have tried other stores in the area for our kids and Palens rental program was the easiest to start and to return when our youngest quit band. Fair prices and nice employees and everything was really easy to do.

The young guy with dark hair and glasses is SO annoying/irritating. He creates an issue every time I go in to get reeds for my daughter. Just give me what I ask for lil man, I really dont need or want your input. A two minute transaction doesnt need to be such a big deal EVERY TIME I COME IN! Also, if you could learn how to run a credit card properly that would be great.

I think the Palen instrument rental program is the best one around. Its nice that they use actual parents of band students to help out during the rental season. They understand what the prospective parents are thinking and feeling and are very qualified to answer their questions. The management and employees are former band directors, so they are very knowledgeable about the inatruments. The company cares more about the students than trying to make money. I am very glad that we have this company in our area.

I am a rural band director in Southeastern Oklahoma and I have used Palen Music Center for the past several years. In response to some of the older posts, with any new business it takes time to build and no business would stretch itself so thin at the beginning to carry a huge stock of inventory. They have certainly increased their in store stock but will definitely take the proper steps to getting you what you want and need. The employees that work at Palen are extremely helpful and will go out of their way to help or to get whatever is needed, I know if they dont have something in stock they will get it for me and make sure that they have it in stock in the future. Tulsa is blessed with several music stores; what makes Palen stand out above the rest is the courtesy and respectfulness they extend to their customers and Ive already mentioned their level of helpfulness. The company hires former band directors so that they are knowledgeable about those instruments and can provide personal insight to help students be successful. Palen has all the benefits of a large music store, but with a home-town feel and extreme local investment in their community. We have had great rental experience with them, their repairs are done in a reasonable amount of time and done right, and their staff (mostly former band directors who GET IT) is compassionate, understanding and helpful. This company is student-success focused and they do that through supporting the band/orchestra directors and providing great service to the parents of these students. As a band parent, a local Band Booster Board member, and as a music educator myself, I highly recommend Palen Music!

Ive been going to Palen Music for 6+ years. I got my first instrument from them, took lessons through them, and I only trust their repair tech to maintain my current instrument. They have great service, and a good selection, especially for beginning instrumentalists. In my opinion, Palen Music Center is an outstanding establishment with great people. I never walk out unsatisfied.

Extremely rude and harsh.My little brother (11 years old at the time) went in with our mom to get his trumpet cleaned. The guy cleaning it bashed him for not cleaning it properly.I understand that a musician should know better, but hes just a kid and had just picked up the trumpet. If you dont know how to talk to a young musician and encourage him, then dont talk to him.We no longer go here to keep up maintenance on his trumpet.

I have always had great experiences at Palen Music. I am a director at Jenks Public Schools, and several of our families use Palen Music for their instrument needs. The staff are professional, and three are highly respected former band directors. The only kickback that I have received as a director is sound advice from their staff members. They are knowledgable and willing to help.The repair technician is also excellent at Palen. I have never had to return an instrument to him to ask him to redo it. Once he fixes it, the problem is solved. I teach 250 students daily (just in my sections-- not the entire program), and so I send at least one instrument to the repair shop weekly. So far, hes batting 1000.Tulsa has great bands and great music stores. This review is not a blast to any other music store-- each has benefits. However, I have used Palen for my personal and professional musical needs for the last three years, and I have never been disappointed.

Skinny gentleman that works front counter at Broken Arrow Palen Store is unorganized. He seems lost. When I talked with him on the telephone he had said for me to come on it. When I arrived there at Palen, he forgot about even talking to me. He has poor customer service skills.
