Great place. Everything looked fresh. Impressive selection as well, especially the takeout section
Fantastic market to have in the neighborhood! Great selection of products at surprisingly low prices. Their website is also great if you want to plan ahead or see if they offer something specific. Got the works for a pastrami sandwich including pastrami from their deli. Incredible quality and taste!! I will be back again and again. Their staff were also very pleasant.
The only place to get kosher food that Im aware of in the area. Thank you for existing
An excellent deli, great selection of kosher / Israeli prepacked food. Lots of delightful options to take home. And the sushi is freshly made with some interesting combinations.
Wide selection of yummy prepared foods, including sushi made to order.
We are grateful for this fantastic ordering website and personal shopping and delivery service! The well-organized inventory and selection gets better each time we order. We particularly enjoy the quality of the Butcherie prepared foods and baked goods! Thank you to the folks at The Butcherie for enabling us to safely shop with you throughout this pandemic!
Amazing selection of Kosher foods and wine all year round! My Passover pickup order went without a hitch. Extremely helpful and great service!
Although it was my wife and son who went in there (I waited in the car because parking was rough), it was nice to know that my son, who is in school nearby, can come here to get (in this case), a shank bone so he can do a sedar at school.I was told there Is a good selection of quality meats here as well. It seemed really busy here and glad to it is near the school.
Great service, beats driving in with crazy drivers looking for the same parking spot. Items ordered were exactly what was pictured on web site and prices were as expected. The specials were great too. Everything was packed nicely in a cardboard box and left at my front door, great service value.
Love that I can order online and get delivery. That has made such an awesome change in our lives especially during COVID. website is good, my only negative is the app could use some work. But the products we receive are very good quality.
Very good grocery store, prices are consistent to other kosher type grocery stores
Very delicious, but VERY expensive. Best to go for home-made stuff, like sweet potato kugel, chopped liver (yes, I love it!) or smoked fish. They have lots of other stuff, but its too expensive (IMHO) to do all yr shopping there.
When you dont want the crowds you go here but yet it has everything you wont be disappointed everything from fruit to meet canned goods dairy the whole bit I love it its convenient and no crowds
This is an amazing store with a large selection of products and the freshest meat possible. This past year, we have been especially grateful for the online ordering process and delivery.
My order was easy to place and the quality and service were excellent. Scheduled pickup went well and was very efficient. Quality was the usual high standard which is why I ordered from this place.
So appreciate pick up service during these chaotic times. The order was ready when I arrived and a very nice young man assisted in getting it out to the car!
Great jewish food.Tough ParkingLately, the knishes seem to have less filling and more dough/crust.If you are going to charge $12.99 for ten handmade Boston Beef Knishes, give me quality, (which you have on past).Do not skimp on filling and load up on crust.Time to return order to your roots!,.
Food and goods for delivery chosen well, packed carefully, delivered on time and with care . Helpful and accommodating service even when you call with last minute requests . Website is helpful . Thank you !
Nice place to buy kosher food and desserts. Wish they had more chalah available around 2 hours before they close. But overall its a nice place that carries fresh food and also frosh sushi.
Where to even begin? :) This place is absolutely positively unbelievable. All of the kosher meat that Ive ever purchased from here has been beyond tasty, without even any extra flavoring. My parents really enjoy their challah as well. They have an extensive selection of Israeli brands along side your average Gefen, Manischewitz, etc. They also have many gluten free products as well!
Everything was packed neatly and ready for me to pick up. The staff is courteous and helpful.
The Butcherie is a good place to get kosher food and also treats from Israel, but that food is mostly processed, sugary, fat and unhealthy. The prices are way too high and many items do not have price tags so you have no idea until you get to the cashier. Service is mediocre and the staff attitude is pretty rude and condescending. Thats why we dont go there often...
Very friendly and helpful
Always have the orders done correctly and right on time.Jeff M.
Thats a really good store!
The best kosher chicken Ive ever tasted!, try their barbecue. Folks there seem pretty cool.
Terrific service, excellent food, reasonable prices.
I am so thankful that when I moved to Brookline almost 10 years ago I would not have to take two trains to get from Boston to this amazing kosher meat market anymore. I was blessed to move to apartment that was right around the corner from where they are located in Coolidge Corner Brookline on Harvard st.where they are conveniently located. The staff is always friendly and helpful and I have always gotten delicious prepared food and many other gourmet products and baking goods to make most of my Jewish Holidays a Shabbats a success. I also have been very happy with the catering department who helped me with birthday Party I had a while ago where I ordered several kinds of the Butcheries prepared salmon and salads and it was very big hit with my guests. My favorite specialty desert of theirs is of all time is their Channukah sufganiya Boston Cream filled donuts which I just ate and prompted me to write this review! I just had one and I wanted to let everyone know that these donuts are the best donuts I ever ate in my life and they are kosher! I would highly recommend anyone to the he Buthcerie for any of their Kosher meat needs o any other kosher item they need to keep kosher in their home while not being deprived of taste or choices. We are all blessed to have such a gem here in Coolidge Corner. Sincerely, Tzedeck.com A very satisfied customer.
Love the sushi!
Always great 👍
Fast and efficient. and correct
Great place to get all the Kosher foods we need. They even came out to help with loading the box of groceries I ordered when I couldnt find parking!
Great food and service
Friendly, local kosher butcher and market. In some ways, like the corner butchers of old, with their own recipes for the ready, homemade dishes, as well as the ability to order the cuts you want or just buy pre-packaged. Also, prices are not bad, considering kosher is always more expensive than not. (Dont expect the same deal as Stop and Shop for non-kosher!)FYI- they close early on Fridays and the afternoon before holidays, as well as being closed on yom tovs. Also, as with much of the area, parking is... challenging.
Good takeout selection. Friendly cashiers
Curbside is AWESOME. Thank you
Good quality kosher meats and other kosher products. However, the majority of the staff needs extensive customer service training. They are somewhat unfriendly and unhelpful. They have a captive audience and they know it, so any emphasis on customer service is nonexistent.
High prices but its the only place we know of where we can buy Milky מילקי. They also have other great Israeli items. Makes us feel at home.
Everything you need for israeli food (almost) very cool store, great hours, open late ...worth my 90 minute trip
Wide selection. Excellent service.
... & my 3 ☆s is generous. The Butcherie, is unfortunately, pretty much the only one-stop shopping place for those of us committed to a kosher life. It does offer a wide range of standard grocery goods & meats, wines, prepared foods & Israeli imports. The renovated space (after the fire in 16) presents a fresher face, however, its commitment to quality, cleanliness & service remains as marginalized as ever. The report that a package of their knishes, whose out-of-date stamp was not discovered until the next day - Shabbat - was met with a shrug of indifference. The request for four rib steaks cut evenly - not 1/8 at one end & 3/4 at the other - was dismissed without further comment. Etc etc. Simple courtesy to customers & basic cleanliness are deemed to be unreasonable expectations. Since when have rudeness & grime become kosher? Yes, I still shop here - albeit less & less … & with vigilant caution. Instead I spend more time seeking out the kosher food I need at markets that share my standards for freshness & quality ... AND even respond to my inquiries respectfully! They make me feel like they appreciate my business. Wow. What a concept!
Great store, wide variety of kosher items. Friendly, helpful staff.
Staff is unfriendly on the phone, people do not know how to keep 6 feet away when in line, but the sufganiot are heavenly!
As good as it might be. One stop shopping. And its kosher. N
Small shop but strictly kosher - the manager yesterday said that the rabbi that oversees buying will reject some items that others would label as kosher. They have a great wine section, and a variety of items offered despite how small it is. The only downside is parking, but hey, its Brookline.
I needed honey cake, they had two types (packaged). Seemed like a good price. Fast checkout. Looked like a great kosher wine selection.
I just love this place, makes me fell like home! Good quality food and wine. Very helpful staff.
Better than ever!
Great place for kosher foods and supplies. Kosher meats are awesome!
I ordered a deli meal for 40, with dessert. Fresh, tasty, generous portions. Easy to serve and store leftovers. Rave reviews from all who attended.
Great neighborhood grocery store. Fresh produce, meat, deli, beer/wine, etc. Friendly staff.
This store has a good selection of Kosher packaged foods and ingredients as well as prepared foods available. There is a small selection of game meats (duck, bison, etc.) and fish as well as the chicken and beef one might expect. I have not tried the prepared dishes or bakery goods, but they look tasty. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are a bit higher than a normal big box grocery, but that is to be expected.
Shopping kosher in a small community can be challenging. The Butcherie tends to have everything I need, which is great. The biggest issue is that they close WAY too early during the week and are only open late one night a week. Like hello, this is a working/going to school place. People cant be there by 6pm and theres literally nowhere else to get kosher items from that you cant find in chain groceries.
Really the only choice in the area hut they are good at what they do so thats all thar really matters. Love their Knishes!
Very expensive the only store that sale kosher and they take advantage on it instad of making a reasonable prices they extremely over price on everything ) and its not becuse its kosher its becuse they can do it unbelievable making it so hard to be kosher in our erea why NY and other cities its normal prices becuse they dont have competion so they do that trader jor and other supermarket sales also kosher meat in a reasonable prices
Good kosher supermarket
Nice selection of kosher foods
One stop kosher shopping! Go very early on days around Jewish holidays. I love their selection of Israeli foods and wine. They have outstanding pita and lately their challah has been my familys favorite.Remember that they close early on Fridays & are entirely closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays.
The Sunday employees at this store need some customer service training and etiquette. Diversity training as well. Until then i will drive 30 mins away to get my beef bacon. Upscale location with substandard service.
Large selection of kosher foods, especially for Passover. Old building, but shelves are well-stocked and are replenished quickly, as customers check out. Many check-out clerks make the exit process speedy.
The BEST place to go for all Kosher foods. An amazing variety of both meat and dairy products, and a very good deli bar. They stock superb deserts, and a quality array of Kosher wines from Israel and the U.S. Its difficult to stick to a budget in this place so go happily forewarned. Kol tuv.
After I was kicked out of the Kosher Wok across the street I came here to get food. It was good and the workers were nice and accommodating.
Best kosher market in Massachusetts
Helpful staff, extremely efficient register checkout, and overall as I expected.
Wonderful neighborhood Kosher grocer.Clean, bright, delicious, friendly.
In Boston this is a premier, full service kosher food store. The butcherie has an excellent assortment of products including but not limited glatt kosher meats, CY dairy and a fine, well stocked deli. There is an excellent assortment of prepared foods and ready to eat meal packages. Delivery service is also available. Very friendly staff from around the world, many languages spoken there.
I love this place. Has been a connection to the old country (Israel) with real imported Israeli products. From juice syrup and coffee, through fresh dairy product, to Bamba. So happy they finished the renovations quickly.
The best place in townthank you mr. gillyfrom chaim
A nice wide selection of kosher products from soup and meat to dessert and wine.
Good assortment of kosher food and fresh meats. Friendly staff. They bring groceries to my car when Im with the kids and have no hands free.
Good varietyOnly place that have Alate kosher wine from SpainFantastic attention!
Wonderful neighborhood market with friendly staff who remember you by name. Their butcher is second to none and the products they provide are unparalleled in quality to anything in the area.
This butcher shop is complete garbage. After promising me the ground beef was fresh, I bought 2 pounds and found out it was rotten before I even got home. Customer service was rude also, by phone and in person.
Best quality, value and assortment of kosher meats for hundreds of miles. Definitely worth a trip.
The Butcherie has many delicious types of products which are Kosher.
Great variety of prepared Shabbos food. Clean, bright, nicely displayed
Excellent service
Good ole Butcherie, great place to meet your friends and neighbors!
I was just walking down Harvard St in Brookline. And there it was on the corner, I believe? I spent$35. and just went in to see what they had. Very nice ppl. A lot of choices too.
This place is awesome, everything in there is good, but its also pricy
All the kosher food. U can now whatsapp them which Im finding super convenient
Very nice Kosher grocery store with some hidden gluten free options in the frozen section including oat rolls, gnocchi, and even rugelach!
Good food. Good service. Easy in and out.
