After spending a couple of months searching for a quality deck builder we came across Nevins Construction. This company didn’t have many reviews compared to other companies with hundreds but what stood out was the five star ratings across. I took the chance and hired Keith who took the time to go over every step in the process and I must say that the outcome was close to perfect (some delays due to COVID). They say that you get what you for and Keith pricing was the most affordable but his workmanship far exceeds other builders. He only uses the best materials for construction such as #1 treated pine rated for ground contact on all framing. The attention to details is second to none. I had very high expectations for my projects and they were all exceed and the best part is Keith does all the work himself. Is rare to find honest, hard working people these days that take pride in their work instead of just making a profit. I would have no hesitation to hire him again for future projects and defenetely worth the wait.

Keith and Nevins Construction are great! We were putting in a patio over the summer and realized that our existing deck didnt have a back beam for added support. We wanted to get that put in before the patio went down. I contacted several companies but because of the size of the job and the time-frame they were not interested. I had almost given up when I came across Nevins Construction. I spoke with Keith and he walked me through the building code and agreed to do the work within my tight schedule. He came on the agreed upon day and did an excellent job. We will be using him again in the future when refinish our deck and add stairs. Thanks!

I spoke with Keith on the phone and he told me he could probably come the next day for an estimate but would have to call me back to let me know. I waited all evening, really excited that he could come by so quickly but I never received a call back.***Update: I received a call 2 days later and an apology for the call being late. he was able to come by that same day for an estimate! Very professional in that sense. Waiting for my estimate now. Will update after work is complete if I go with this company.***Update: The price I was quoted is completely fair and THOUSANDS under big name companies. Excited to have my pool deck built by this company!

Keith built my deck and did an excellent job. He gave me the best price in town and did the job on time. He’s a very honest guy and did the job exactly as discussed. Keith took time to answer all my (million) questions. He used top quality materials to complete the project. After completion he came back and cleaned everything up. I am very with the work he did. Keith Nevins recently completed our new deck and screened-in porch, and we love it! Keith was very professional and personable. He listened to what we wanted, and made it better than we asked for. He was very detailed oriented and really took the extra time to make sure everything was done correctly. He was also able to handle all aspects of the job, including replacing a door with a new window, so that we did not need to bring in another contractor. I also felt comfortable having him work at our home. It was nice knowing that the same person was coming to the job each day, and not a bunch of different workers like you get with other companies. I cannot recommend Keith from Nevins Construction enough. The attention to detail and care that he put into the construction of our deck was unparalleled. We were incredibly impressed by the quality of craftsmanship and his refusal to rush and cut corners.We got several estimates from area contractors and the one thing that was different with Keith was his genuine honesty and that he personally would be the one doing the construction. Every other estimate we received was from a “Manager” or “Salesman” who would subcontract or assign a crew to do the work. This lack of personal care was main reason we chose Keith. We are extremely pleased with the finished product and would unquestionably recommend Keith to friends and family.

Keith of Nevins Construction did an awesome job on our project. Our balcony railings needed to be replaced. After getting several estimates, Keith came in at a fair price and walked us thru the process. The railings were replaced with high quality vinyl product that match our paint color perfectly. The job that Keith did was high quality and we will definitely use Nevins Construction on future projects.

I was looking to have a deck replaced for a home I was selling. I called Mr. Nevins and he came out the next day and gave me an estimate. He was very professional and got back to me to me within 24 hours with a very reasonable quote. Mr. Nevins and his crew were at my house a week later to complete the project. I was not expecting it to be done in such a timely matter. When I came home from work I was completely surprised. My deck was finished and all the mess cleaned up. The old deck components were gone. You could not never tell anyone had been there except for the new deck. It was so nice. My daughter even commented, we should have had him come a long time ago to replace the deck. Keith Nevins built our new deck over the past two weeks and I am very impressed. I am a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and have managed both military and commercial construction projects for nearly 40 years, with a two years as a quality assurance engineer for Lockheed Martin, so I know professional and quality work when I see it.Keith knows his craft and executed the project with excellent foresight in how each decision would affect the final product. He made a few tweaks from our initial plan that helped improve the final deck. Every cut that you see and every joint that is formed, demonstrates his attention to detail and outstanding carpentry skills.I used a different company in my last home, some 10 years ago, called American Deck. Keith was working for them at the time, and that amazing deck sold that house almost by itself. But Keith Nevins, working on his own at our new home, has just been nothing short of outstanding.
