Great afternoon out pumpkin picking. Kids loved it. Theres a maize maze to walk around along with a cafe and playground onsite (although this was shut). Recommend going early in the day or after 3pm we went just after lunch and queued for 30/40 minutes waiting to park.

Arrived very early, it fills up quick, and the car park was very full by midday. The miniature train ride was fun but not very far and all activities were individually priced so the amount I paid that day for 3 kids was well over what I had budgeted for. The size of the pumpkins and quantity was amazing and the kids enjoyed Pumpkin picking. The maize maze was terrifying with 3 small kids as the field was so big. I did actually loose the youngest, but found them again. A but of planning might help on that one. There were not many farm animals to pet and it wasnt really designed in way where kids could pet the animals. The small playground was closed due to Covid19 and the outdoor toilets were disgusting. Go to the toilets inside the cafe...overall OK

Pumpkin picking was great, but very busy. The car park was full, so we were directed to park on a field about half a mile away. No great shakes for us, but worth bearing in mind if youre going with someone who has any sort of mobility issues.Major gripe is that my wife emailed them in advance to ask if dogs were allowed in the cafe (she specifically said in the cafe in the email)... she got a reply straight away saying yes, thats fine so long as theyre on a lead, which is not a problem at all. When we got there, however, the (rather snotty) lady on the door said dogs couldnt come into the cafe... come on... no problem if dogs arent allowed in... we didnt have to bring him... but blatantly lying to us, presumably just to to get us to come, isnt cool at all. As such, I have no idea if the cafe is good or not, but it did look nice through the window...Im not going to slate the place; that would be unfair since we didnt actually get in to know what its actually like, but lying to people really isnt OK. If theyd just been straight with us we couldve left the dog at home and it wouldnt have been an issue, but on the basis that they lied to us, I cant recommend this place.

Disappointed. Rotten pumpkins 😥 Overall the place was good. Lots of parking and easy access to the pumpkin field. However as soon as we saw it we could clearly see that at least 2/3 of the pumpkins were rotten / broken / generally not nice to look at. It really was a field of rotten vegetables and we had to walk some distance to find one that was whole. We could see that the sweetcorn was the same. Perhaphs we went at the wrong time? But they should have told us this in the car park. Our toddler enjoyed it all the same. A few hanging men and goasties along the way which were good. We didnt try the maze as our child was too young to have enjoyed it but we did go on the train. The driver was really friendly, but again - disappointing. £7.50 to travel to the end of the field and back. Half a dozen animals under cover which was lovely. A childrens play area which was fab. Id say it was like an outside play area but under cover. My toddler (and us adults!) all enjoyed it. A lovely cafe and the staff were great. But again, £15 for 2 hot chocs, a childs hot choc and 2 cakes was expensive in my view. We decided against lunch on that basis. The day cost us £27 for 2 adults and 1 toddler and we had a good day out cos we made the most of it but certainly the pumpkins were disappointing and prices need to be reviewed. Will look elsewhere next year 😥

It was ok, we had to park on a field quite a walk away but it was busy so understandable. Quite annoying though that you cant take your wheelbarrow to your car. If you were on your own you would be stuck, luckily we were a group and one waited while the other went to get the car and pull up. I will say though everyones pumpkins rotted and collapsed so will probably give it a miss next year.

We arrived at 11:45am with the hopes of ordering from the lunch menu to avoid the inevitable lunchtime rush. We asked the waitress if we could order but she advised us that we had to wait until 12 which was no problem. However, people served after us (before 12) ordered lunch menu items. The waitress with an iPad taking orders served about 5 people before us, despite us being there before the other customers. You seem to have a lot of staff with nothing to do (this probably isn’t the case) but when you have around 8-10 staff stood by the ice cream counter and one person taking orders, that is how it is perceived. The soup would have been lovely if it wasn’t so salty. I love salt but that was too much even for me so I asked to swap it for a ham sandwich. The side salad that came with the jacket potato was disgusting, so many slimy leaves. I was offered a fresh salad but I’m glad I refused after witnessing the salad that came with the ham sandwich. The animals are the only reason I have awarded 2 stars.

Great visit. The business owners have tried their best to look after and mystify our children during their visit and generally done a very good job. The elves and Santa were really giving it their best despite the light rain dampening the atmosphere a little. The signage upon arrival could be improved to direct those attending to the registration and starting point. Father Christmass address to the children perhaps was intended to entertain both children and adults and wasnt too far off the mark although the general banter could be adjusted so the children understood the general message and jokes, if not the nuances. It was a lovely outing for the kids and lasted approx 50 minutes. Each child had their photograph taken sat 2m away from Santa (£5 on exit, or a keyring or fridge magnet option for around £3. Each child receives an age-appropriate wrapped presentm.

Normally the Hayloft is a wonderful place to visit, however upon todays visit the place was absolute chaos. The place was very busy and there was a small queue to eat inside. Social distancing measures have been put in place but the ordering system they have in place simply does not work. They operate a flag system where you raise your tables flag and a waitress comes and takes your order. We waited 25 minutes yet nobody approached us, 2 tables that had sat down where seen immediately and before us. The system literally depends on whos flag is seen first. The outside seating area has a terrible wasp problem and this caused alot of distress and panic with customers. They have a window which takes orders for outside seating but due to a lack of signage and organisation we witnessed multiple arguments regarding queue places and where the queue was to situated. We only hope that these issues are swiftly resolved as this place has been a family favourite for us all. On a positive note the ice cream and coffee where as wonderful as always.
