Cant say enough about how incredibly amazing this place is! Not only do they offer the an impressive assortment of boards (weve purchased many over the years), but their indoor skate park is AMAZING! Their entire team is fabulous, and Frank especially went above and beyond to make our sons birthday party super special! The kids had a blast skateboarding and Frank was in there coaching them and teaching them great techniques and tricks ~ really helped put the party over top!

Good amount of the right things in stock. They dont have an epic selection. What they do have is what you need. Which is nice. I buy longboarding parts. They had a display with just longboard parts. They have completes... Good ones... They had downhill longboarding gloves at the same price I got searching online... They carry triple-8 protective gear. Which is what a great deal of the pros wear. And its at the online price point... In a physical store close to you... Where you can hold and/or try on what youre looking to buy. I dont know about you but thats important for me. AND - the crew that holds down the counters - rock. Good dudes who ride themselves. That should be important to any of you... You buy from someone local who offers competitive pricing and KNOWS ABOUT what they sell you because they use it themselves. Always key folks.

Go buy stuff here. Great board shop for skate and snow, and they do disc golf too.... But get boards here. You can skate here too. They built a sick little indoor mini park/bowl thing in the back room. You can see it from inside the store through the windows. Give these people your money. They will do you right. :)

These guys Hold it down for buffalo skateboarding and snowboarding. They even have a small ramp set up in the back of house to skate. Best place to go for any of your skateboarding or snowboarding needs. These guys also go out of their way to help the skateboarding community in anyway they can. Hit em up!

I was excited to stop in, one of the only locally owned skate shops around WNY. Walked in and the two employees continued their casual conversation without even acknowledging me. (The store had no other customers) After 20 minutes one of them finally asked me if I needed help but by then I was on my way out. The employee had lack luster quick responses anyways and I would much rather save time and money and shop elsewhere.

This place is awesome. I skated a bit as a teen and wanted to get back into it. Both guys that were working were on point. They were busy but did not rush anyone with what they needed. They helped me put together a complete board and I never felt like I was being upsold into anything. Super friendly, very supportive and encouraging staff. This place is awesome. Owner and two employess each spent time with me, making sure at all times I had someone to help me out (but not annoying like a store in the mall). I went with my grandparents and they were really respectful and nice to them, the owner talked to them while I was shopping. The two employees helped me decide on the right size deck, pick out wheels, trucks, and bearings, all while making suggestions to keep the price low. Ended up with a really nice board for pretty cheap. Best skate shop in the region by far. Next level customer service and also a really nice looking store in general.ONE more thing I forgot to mention... I had to leave my board there and pick it up later.. but then I couldnt make it to pick it up, so I had to have a friend pick it up for me.Completely zero hassle on their end. A pretty annoying request on my end was met without hesitation.

The shop is great to have in the local area. The only down side is that they might only have one person working and youll have to wait but its a minor inconvenience. Plus they have a dog!

Came in undecided on buying or renting due to a strict budget, Jessie was great in helping me find the right set up for me and worked with the owner to keep me within my price range. I ended up purchasing my own gear and left the shop more than satisfied. HIGHLY recommend taking your business here, great staff and product selection. I was blown away by their disc golf section and the managers knowledge of the game. Best in store selection Ive seen so far, good prices and a loyalty program, buy 10 get 1 free. Big store with a good selection of board and skate stuff too.

Phatman is one of the last remaining board shops in the entire country and 10/10 when it comes to customer service. Great local Buffalo gem here! Very nice selection of winter wear as well as summer wear and also a great place to take your snowboard for sharpening, waxing or just general tune-ups. Also a great place to rent gear and staff are very knowledgeable.

Legit core skate shop with good mix of Snow and skate. The employees are rider themselves so they know what they are talking about and are really patient and helpful with people that arent too familiar with the products. They always have fun events and sales at random times which makes it worth stopping in.

I love all the selections phatmans has. i love how close the shop is to my home, and how everyone makes you feel at home and welcome. this is such a cool shop, you can just come in and relax and just talk to people. its never really full so you dont have to worry about a lot of noise in your ear, and youre with people who share a common interest.

I cant believe the service at this place.. Last time I was there I picked up a few things that I needed one of those things was a new set of wheels. Unfortunately they did not have the rite size wheel in the density that I was looking for. The best part is that once the salesmen realized what kind of wheel I wanted they did not try to sell me some other wheel that I did not want. He suggested that I wait until they get some in stock or go someplace else. I appreciate that kind of service the most because I know that they are there more for the customer than they are for the money. Also some of the things I wanted to get I did not expect them to have like the washers for the truck hangers that go on either sides of the wheels (AKA speed rings). Every time I go there I learn at least one and if not more than one new thing such as the term speed ring which was one of the few things I learned that day. They even have glow in the dark slider/ grab rails. I did not know they existed I was on the fence about weather or not I should get a set of rails and when they brought out the glow in the dark ones that made my decision I had to try them. Thank you Phatman!

I walked into the shop for the first time when I was 11 and they helped me put together my first skateboard, the following winter, my first snowboard. As a kid everyone was helpful, and they didnt just try to sell their products, they would help you learn what you need as a beginner, so you can make that choice on your own. Ive been buying from them ever since.

Great people, great products! Long time customer, Ive been going to Phatman for all of my snowboard needs and winter apparel for over 5 years. The staff really knows what they are talking about and the selection is top notch. I dont mess around with online retailers when it comes to ski gear, just way to risky. I like to try the stuff on, make sure it will do the trick when Im going out riding. Also, cant tell you how many great events Ive gone to in Buffalo that wouldnt be possible if Bob and the crew didnt either organize it or support a good cause 100%

Phatman Boardshop makes me just want to be a snowboarder. I went into the shop with my boyfriend and the workers were so helpful and Bob the owner was so friendly. They have a lot of awesome brands and even some roxy girl clothes in the back. I am considering getting some rentals from them for the upcoming season! Also couldnt help myself with their awesome selection of Stance socks. SOCK GAME PROPER. This shop is definitely worth checking out 10/10 would recommend.

This place is always a great stop when in the area. Need anything skate related? They got it, whole longboards, shoes, other clothing and skate gear. Great place with super friendly people, and careful if you jam on the mini ramp, its slippery as hell

Ive had many experiences at Phatmans and they all have been positive. I started out with a seasonal snowboard rental package. The equipment was very good and the price was very reasonable. Ive also purchased equipment there, with very good results. Every employee that Ive had contact with there has been friendly and very helpful. I plan on continuing to purchase from Phatmans and to recommend them to my friends and family.

Very friendly customer service, and they have a great selection of discs for disc gofers. I dont know much about skating our snowboarding but from what my cousin said after visiting, its a great store for that stuff too.

Im so stoked on my Capita Outdoor Living, Union Contact Pros and Thirty-Two gear that I bought last season. Bought some snowbowrding boots from a young salesman here. Thought they were a touch too big after using so went in and spoke to a middle aged guy(possibly the owner) who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Im relatively new to the sport and he gave me some great tips and adjusted my binding for free. I kept the boots which are awesome and have gotten really good in a short time and I give alot of credit to the interaction I had with that gentlemen.
