Yea, I am old enough to remember going this place at the old location when I was a kid. It is exactly what you would expect when you walk in. No frills diner experience. Yes, I love their hots. They are as hard core Buffalo as it gets. On this visit I stopped in for Breakfast and it was fabulous. Coffee was great. Eggs and homefries fantastic. Service was wonderful. Food and price way better than another national chain breakfast/diner joint down the street. There are fewer and fewer of these old school spots left so please stop in and give them a reason to keep going. They are part of our heritage.

EXCELLENT lunch counter feel w homestyle COOKED TO ORDER yummies. I had a DELICIOUS 1/2# burger n huge fries for 9$ n i cant finish it! U can go to mcds accross the street n get a tiny 1/4# w fries for 7.85 n its not even xlose to as good or filling. The breakfast specialls w pancakes sausage r bacon another belt buster!! Reasonable prices n full portions. U wont be sorry. Get there n eat! Youll be so full u wont remember your own name! Anytime the burger is bigger than the bun, its a good thing. N i got the other half for later.great eats n atmosphere

The most unique hot dog sauce Ive ever eaten.

Old style place with an old fashioned feel that I kind of liked. This is about as far from a chain restaurant as you can get. I had two dogs and a huge order of fries with sauce for just under ten bucks. Dogs were typical sliders (if you want Sahlens hot dogs you should probably go to Teds) on a soft bun and the fries were pretty decent. Sauce was good and had a bit of a Swiss Chalet flavor to it but still doesnt compare to Seneca Texas Hots sauce in my opinion. Pretty good place overall though.

Its a nice small diner that has really good homemade food. I had a meatloaf sandwich that was really good. Id definitely go back there.

UNCLEAN! Cook touching food W/O gloves just before coming from working in the back. No hair nets either. Just look at the floor by the counter as you walk in.Only stopped there cause pouring rain, oh yea, hot dog sause was as runny as soup, absolutely no texture, just like the water downed grave a gentleman had on fries.Certainly, your chances are either Tricks or Treats for good food.Do not recommend!

Always great to see John and his family. We look forward to breakfast before starting our day. Everything is aways fresh and not unusual for us to buy his Texas Hots with the sauce added to our eggs.

We stop in Abbott Texas Hots on Fridays for their Fantastic Friday Fish Fry. The fish is freshly cooked and the portion is so big that it hangs slightly over the side of the plate.The side choices include coleslaw, potato salad, French fries, macaroni salad, and fresh bread. Huge portions, home made quality.The chef is John, the owner and the waitress is his wife Anna.Great fresh food, super service, reasonable prices. Minutes from the I90 and the Our Lady of Victory Bacilica. In the City of Lackawanna a block from the South Buffalo boarder.

I never visit Buffalo without having breakfast here at least once. Its not fancy - theres not 50 flavors of pancakes or syrup. Its simple, fast, local and always tastes good.

Quaint place with a variety of things to order, I can remember this place as a kid. If you buy 5 hot dogs you get the 6th free. The waitress was very friendly

This is a small community restaurant, that been at the current location for 20 years. Parking in the right side of the buliding. Casual dining with a simple menu. Specials are posted on simple white boarding. Counter or table service. Family dining Everything is home made. Soups. Sanwitches salads,dinners, deserts, hot dogs, Texas hots, hambergers are just a few items CD that are available, more items are on their menus and board. In all quite and friendly.

The burger you see in the photo is NOT the burger you get when you order the $3.75 bacon cheeseburger. There was plenty of bacon but the burger was lost inside the bun. Strangely the burger was slightly oblong shaped and measured approx. 2×2.5×1/8. At first I thought it might be a sausage patty. 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches cost $15. The service was slow and surly. Wish we had gone to McDs...

Last Novenber, we went on a trip to Niagara Falls and stayed in a hotel in Lackawanna ... When we arrived in town kind of late, we drove around looking to pick up some food to bring back to the hotel, as we were on the road all day and really hadnt eaten ... We looked on a map and Abbott Rd. seemed to be the closest street with any sort of restaurants ... When we got there, we couldnt decide on a place and then I caught this place (Abbotts Texas Red Hots) out of the corner of my eye ... a quick search of Google and Yelp! revealed that this little place was suprisingly highly rated, considering the area ... So, hot dogs it is! ... We went in and the first impression is that the place hadnt been updated since the 1970s .... and I mean that in the BEST kind of way! ... Each one of us ordered 3 chili dogs, french fries and Cokes and when we got to the hotel, we we pleased at how good this food was ... Sometimes you can find the best places in the most out of the way areas ... sometimes - like in our case - it was just dumb luck! ... If I ever find myself back up in those parts, I would DEFINITELY eat here again ... as the food and the cool old school feel of the place would make it worthwhile.
