Whoa!! Reading the review has me thanking my lucky stars!! I purchased online with no issues...I got a pretty little Walther PK.380...the Blue Angel...everything was easy..

I bought a rifle scope from them. Never used it or opened it. Returned it two days later. I called them if I can exchange it to something else, the guys on the phone said, sure bring it back we’ll exchange it for you. I went there he looked at the scope and said I don’t think if I can resale it to anyone. And said these are hard to sale. Are you kidding me?? I don’t care if you can resale it or not. Return means return. Same scope was on sale on Amazon $30 less, could have return it without any problem, but I said you know what let’s support local businesses. But no more. I will never return to that store ever again.

PROS:Some of the staff is helpful. They had what I needed.CONS:Some of the staff give off a bit of the salesman vibe. Somewhat unorganized and uncommunicative. Little on the pricier side (even considering pandemic prices). Shop is unkept and some products are dusty and worn with time.

Base on experience: If you know exactly what you want come here.. if you are in the market (especially as a first timer), have an idea what you want but wanted to physically feel and see options before making a purchase, don’t come here... Go to Target Range or Burbank Guns & Amo (unfortunately the latter has very limited selection)..Gun World didn’t seem like a place for good vibes and technical product support for first timers.. However they do have a very good product selection.Target Range got my money because they were just chilled and just let me browse unshadowed (it created a very relaxed environment).*Star rated for good product selection and accommodating my presence without an appointment..

Great store! Large inventory. And, although you need an appointment to make a purchase here, they make filling out the redundant DROS paperwork really easy. So call ahead.

Horrible customer service and business. I called about some ammunition and they said they have it in stock. When I arrived, they said they dont sell that particular type of ammunition. I dont know how they stay in business. Everybody should boycott this store they lie to customers and are very rude and pretentious.

Finding and buying firearms in 2021 is a daunting task. Called ahead, knew they only accept appointments right now and i dont blame them given the demand on guns from the public and also politically. Was able to make an appointment, showed up 20min early. Josh came out and greeted us and let us inside. I had a couple questions on gun purchase laws and he was very helpful and listened to me.Me and my wife knew what we wanted in general, brand and features. I can imagine its not the time to browse for hours on end or being so indecisive at the start. The internet gives a ton of info, just do your research and know what your talking about. Its also fair to the business, they are trying to help a lot of people. Me and my wife also already finished the test and had our cards to speed the process of purchase.I was shocked to see so much inventory there. The sig i ordered from turners earlier in the month, turners told me later in the month it will come in. Then they say a year wait for our order. Cant say i wasnt shocked by the news but still disappointed. So we went hunting for guns at other shops and went to gun world.I see the sig i had ordered from turners (which will never show by turners standards) sitting in the case at gun world. Then i see a benelli m4 on the wall, another one i wanted to get but couldnt find anywhere. My wife also found a baretta storm that she liked. More inventory at gun world than any other store ive been in so far.Looking at the tag prices its about 200 bucks more than what i see elsewhere for the same guns for all the ones we wanted. Asking Josh about it he said its a demand thing and they dont make too much on their gun sales. Not sure if thats just a quick response from a salesman perspective to keep money in the sale or not. I get it, not like i have a choice. They have it, i want it. There isnt more math to it than that.The staff were professional and helpful and didnt make us feel dumb or unimportant. The process was smooth in the purchase and they were very clear in the expectations of pickup procedures.Besides the higher prices than expected, they did a good job and Im super happy to be getting what we wanted.All in all, be prepared, know what you want and even take the test elsewhere from a local place before you go. (Thats what we did)We drove back to turners and asked them to refund us our money. Glad they did, sorry they lost our business, and gun world gained our business instead.

Ive been a few times. By far the worst in customer service. BY FAR! always have an attitude. I think they can do that because they have what we want. Go elsewhere. They are absolutely the worst people to deal with. They should start firing some of these people. The worst customer service. Every time you ask a question they answer as if it was so inconvenient for them to answer.

Similar experience to other reviews on here. Called a couple of times over the course of several days when I was sourcing out a few rifles. Most of the time, they were rude on the phone but I understand there’s been a surge in gun purchases and inquiries so they were probably bombarded with calls. What I didn’t like was that I specifically asked for a rifle, gave them the model number, description and price and they said they had it in stock. I made an appointment the very next morning since they were close to closing. When I got there and after driving 45 minutes, I asked for the rifle I had inquired about and they brought out a different model. The guy said they hadn’t had the model I was looking for in a while and weren’t sure when they would get it but they were trying to push me to get the one they had in stock and purchase some additional pieces to make it look like the one I had asked for. Wouldn’t recommend it for a first time purchase UNLESS you’ve done your research and if you can’t find it elsewhere. They do have a large inventory and typically at premium prices. I wouldn’t say stay away from this place but keep it as a last resort.

This store is great for many reasons. Superb service for all from the gun pro to the first time buyer. Great selection for every price point. Highly recomended. Will definitely be back.

Went to purchase first firearm. Extremely friendly, and help you through the whole process. From taking the test to actually purchasing the firearms.You will have to wait outside in a line, but if you come with enough time before they close you’ll get in.

Always helpful, have a nice selection of used weapons. Competitive on ammunition.

You have to remember that these guys deal with people all day that should listen instead of talk, so if they arent as friendly as you feel they should be, you need to be patient, and ask good questions and then listen to the answers. Ive been shopping here for over 15 years and always had a good experience. The staff are courtesy, professional and knowledgeable. Gun World has things that are hard to find such as Colt gun magazines and 38 Super ammo.I highly recommend Gun World for all your firearm needs! I am a customer for life!

This store is a total rip-off yes they have a huge inventory but theyre only after your money after you order your gun and pay for it dont never call you its been about 4 weeks since I was supposed to get my gun and nothing I suggest you guys go to Burbank ammo and guns that place is way better cheaper affordable small inventory but they offered great prices for what I paid over here for two grand I got over there two different guns for one grand $200

3 1/2 Stars is a joke. I stopped by for my first time. I have to say, everyone that worked in this store was super knowledgeable and extremely nice/cool. Not only would I shop here, but it feels good to support such a great business that concentrates on what is important (customers) I liked it so much I am going to call them and ask if its OK to come by one time a week just to hang out JK!!!!!

Expensive where the guns are concerned or I would go their more for gun purchases. Small store, but lots of goodies and the guys there seem to be very knowledgeable. Where other places don’t sell small parts they have everything for the AR. Internals and all. I was very happy to drive there and spend $2 on some springs for the AR rather than order online and wait a week. Big thumbs up on that!!

Awesome customer service. I asked a bunch of questions and they answered them all. Even tho I was new to this they made the experience that much better. They showed me a few handguns and explained them (pros and cons). These guys are some of the most idiotic fire arm “professionals” I’ve yet to meet. First experience I had they sold me a OPENED red dot optic with multiple items missing. Second experience they tried to sell me 7.62 x 51 saying it will shoot fine through my 308. 10/10 would not recommend this joke of a store.

Very small, cramp shop when you enter and more so when you see a couple customers inside.. Employees will have a close eye on your every move.. Now the price on many of there hand guns are so-so.. I would bet if you want to purchase a gun there, you would need to wait for there sale to come around.. So, in my single opinion its rather pricey to pay for many of there guns.. Id rather shop at Tuners for my firearms for the price.. Of course you will see more of a selection then at a chain store.. I see they do stock up on many replacement, hop-up, and repair products then at a chain store.. I was told the store is busy with lots of walk-ins, I jus never see more then 2 when I pass though.. But its still is a bit small for my liking and cash wise.. So to each there own.. Also, I take my friends to other locations before we shop there..

Worst gun store experience of my life. Called asked for the gun I wanted, was quoted a fair price on the phone. I arrived that weekend as I told them I would, when I arrived they jacked up the price on me. They lied, and went back on their word. Proving themselves to be distrustful. This is not how we do business, and I will never return. Would give zero stars if I could. Went to Ammo Bros for a excellent buying experience and got the gun for much, much cheaper.

Every time I enter Gun World there is just enough caution from workers to make me feel safe and yet, not like a problem they have to deal with. The employees are knowledgeable, helpful and polite. Many of the customers are good folk, however, the occasional pushy, unknowledgeable customer will come in and throw the whole store off. It is still funny to me how some people expect to be in and out with everything they need, when they want it, at a GUN STORE. Anyways, I like it there.

Bought a rifle and ammo. The rifle was fair priced but only because they forgot to change the price on the display, they even tried to charge me more when they rang it up. I was also charged 50 bucks for ammo I found to be 35 everywhere else. When I went to ask about it, the big guy up front starts to talk to someone else during my question and gives a to bad type explanation.

I live far from the store, but feel that its worth the drive. Besides having an incredible selection, the people there are great. I am a loyal customer and look forward to coming back for my next purchase.

I just purchased a new Sig Scorpion 226 here. Not only did they match their competitors price, they beat it. (Turners) which I will never go back to after they took my deposit and promised me my gun in a timely fashion. These guys don’t have the gun shop attitude, they try to educate people with their knowledge. I never felt like I was talked down to or anything like that. When I go to turners I feel like I’m being scolded for even considering buying a gun. I guess my peon brain just can’t handle their wealth of knowledge. Maybe I’ll go back to turners, just to educate them because most of them have no clue what they are talking about. If you are thinking about purchasing a firearm in the greater Los Angeles area I highly suggest the team at gunworld. I believe Brandon was my salesman and he was awesome!!! I had my first...and last... encounter with Gun World today. I noticed that all of these reviews are from people who have purchased firearms, so let me tell you about my experience when you want to sell. The owner must have positively thought he saw the word sucker printed on my forehead when I walked into his store...simply because Im a woman maybe? I had an Ithaca 12 ga., a Winchester 30-30 lever action, and a Colt 38 revolver (officers model, 1st issue) Ill ballpark their high end value at $1600.00. I researched these firearms... I know the value...low and high end. I figured hed probably hit somewhere in the middle. He offered me $400.00...for all 3. Now...Im not a math genius, but wow...what a profit margin. I had a S&W 357 with a 4 barrel on my list. He offered me $300.00. He has one listed on his website under used firearms for $600.00. What a crook...if you want to sell, go elsewhere. I certainly will.

I went over there to order my Sako rifles and they were very nice and knowledgeable. I have to say, they were really nice on the phone and when I went in they were still nice. Their price was very good, I looked around and the price was the same anywhere.

Even if hated this place and got terrible service i would never give a one star review to a family business only franchises. If I dont like some where and I get terrible service I just dont come back. That being said I did a transfer here and a big guy with a tattoo on his forearm helped me out I cant remember his name but he was very helpful. I Love guns and I really hope small places like this stay in our towns.

I live in the neighborhood so came in here a few times and looked around, asked questions as I couldnt decide what I wanted. All questions were answered and even after I looked through a bunch of guns the guy who helped me wasnt annoyed and was super helpful and informative. Not too long ago I finally made up my mind and came in with an intention to buy. Got the same guy helping me, his name was Ken I believe. He helped me pick out what I wanted, explained everything about the gun ammo, cleaning, maintenance and such. Definitely will come back here and recommend this store. Thanks again.

The most arrogant staff (sans one salesman) I have ever seen in any private business. Upon doing my research on a firearm I saw in the store I was taken to talk to the manager to see if he was willing to come down on the listed price (granted it was 25% off, however the firearm in question isnt even worth 50% of the asking price). When I approached the manager (and I assume owner), Joe, with the salesman in tow, he said, hand to God, get the f**k away from me. Point taken, sir. Never stepping foot in your business again.Go to Guns Direct just down the road, they have never steered me wrong.

I went to Gun World to purchase a Henry Repeating Rifle. I called all over town to find this rifle. No gun store had any or would offer to order it for me. They told me to call back once a week. I called Gun World and spoke to Damian Garro. He was very polite and professional. He took my order with a deposit and I had my Henry rifle in a week. All the employees at Gun World are polite and professional. They treated me and my wife with respect. Whenever I want to purchase a gun or ammo I will go to Gun World. I will recommend this shop to all my friends.

They claim no gun shop attitude, complete opposite, and the big heavyset guy behind the counter seems to be racist against Armenians. An Armenian guy was asking the price on a particular scope and the big heavyset guy said well it depends it can be anywhere between $300 and $1000, the guy then proceeded to ask him well Im asking about this one how much is this one and the big heavyset guy said well it depends. What a rude POS! And the other guys walk around with skinny jeans trying to act hard because they work at a gun shop. They act like trigger-happy liberals with their skinny jeans!

I have purchased a rifle here. I want to tell that everything was great, friendly staff, great selection, they know what are they doing. But theres something I really disliked. When I went to pick up my rifle Ive miss calculated the time so went early, they said you cant pick it up until certain time, okay thats not a problem I said thank you and I will be back! I asked if I could take a look at the rifle again to decide one more time if I wanted to switch the stock(that was an option given to me earlier, and was supposed to be done by the pick up date, it wasnt). So they said sure have a look. Ive looked at my rifle again, checked it out compared with a Thordsen stock and decided not to touch the rifle. Left the gun and came back later. Found out that they replaced the stock magazine with a cheap after market long magazine with an orange plastic marks on it. That caught my eye right away! I told them where is the magazine? They kept insisting that this was the one came with my rifle. Funny Ive put my magazine on when checking the rifle out multiple times and it wasnt in the plastic bag and sealed also this is an aftermarket cheap quality one. So Ive complained and they gave me a magpul mag.Im not sure if it is the stock that came with my AR 15 M&P but Im very disappointed that they are stealing something that doesnt belong to them.And my rifle was jamming every other shot (Im thinking who knows what else they have replaced on it ?)To the owner: find that employer that steals goods that doesnt belong to him.To the other customers: take a picture of your guns that has to seat in their store and check before you pick up.For me: Im not sure if Id trust this place again :(

I bought a Glock 26 from this place. These guys are straight shooters (pun intended). They answered my questions, worked with me to find something suitable, but werent overly friendly (for some reason most dudes that work at gun stores arent). Always price shop.

Been shopping in gun stores for decades and this is BY FAR the best in LA. A vast selection and a staff that really knows their stuff make this my go-to place for all things guns, ammunition and for keeping up with what is going on in the industry and with the 2nd Amendment stuff.

This is the worst gun store I have ever come across before in my life!!They do have a good selection but some of there prices are so much above msrp its ridicules if you are not a regular to them you might as well not exist.If you call they will not even answerer the phone or they will just hang upon you without saying a word to you and if they actually answer you they refuse to give you a quote on any of there prices on anything in the store and I took a gun that I had bought for my wife to sell it was N.I.B. never fired because she didnt like how it felt in her hand it was a H&K P2000 40S&W she prefers a PX4 Storm and the gun was less than 1 week in my possession and the guys must have thought I hadSUCKER! across my fore head there were telling me that it was only worth $350 because it was a used gun I will never again in my life go near this place because I have found much better places to do business with that treat you with respect.

EXTREMELY overpriced. i made the mistake of buying my first glock here before i knew any better and paid 200 over other competitors :(1 star is because of their price-gouging. however if there was an option to give the staff (at the time i was a customer) more stars id give them 4 stars.

Possibly the worst gun shop in the valley..TERRIBLE service if they even have any...people skills out the window for these guys, prices on products are rediculously over priced. How are they still in business ?? Amazes me i would give -5 stars buts thats not optional unfortunately!!!!!!!!! RUDE.....DISRESPECTFUL.....IGNORANT S O B

The reviews speak for themselves.. Only a 2.5 star rating.. gave them a benefit of the doubt, but damn.. These reviews are spot on.. TERRIBLE service, Fake smiles, you can just tell they are irritated with their own customers. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else.

Let me begin if I could give it a negative star I would. Went there a few times gave them a chance but it was like pulling teeth with these guys! Attitude big time like they are doing you a favor by ripping you off for ammo and their guns are way over the norm on pricing. Most gun stores are run by people who are rude but these guys take the cake! Even Turners in Pasadena has a more helpful group of employees than these morons. I want to help out the Mom & Pop businesses in Burbank but Gun World is just so lousy I cant do it. Go to Turners or American Gun Works in Glendale they will help you out.

Not surprised with the negative reviews which I shouldve read before stepping foot in this store. This place is what Ive heard as far as what theyve got but cmon, my garage is a mansion compared to this place. Definitely need more room. But whats really the problem here is the egotistical pony-tailed fool that was on customer service duty. This guy seemed ok at first but when I inquired about a product, he offered what was available, told me its what he uses, gave a ridiculous price, and then seemed irritated when what he offered wasnt exactly what I was looking for. I went in there budget minded but for the sub-par item he offered at their high-end pricing...NOPE...NO WAY! This guy is a fool and in the wrong business and should sell fidget spinners at a mall kiosk instead of being strapped at a gun store. I get it, a gun business, responsibility, making sure your products are safe and secure, policing customers and making your presence felt. Folks, there are far better gun shops out there along with whats on the internet. Do your research, find the better deal, and dont put up with people like this guy. And from what Ive learned, a good business is only as good as how the customer feels once they walk out the door, sale or no sale. Its what makes them a return customer and keeps things business as usual. Glad I didnt give my business to this jackass pony-tailed loser.

Great store best selection i have ever seen come check this place out

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and I was not expecting that - most gun stores have attitude - not here. I just bought the Sig X5 All Around - was looking at the Comp and The All Around - the sales person (Mark) took the time to explain why the All Around was best for me (even though it was the cheaper gun). After I bought it - not only did they note the lower price Joe promised to refund me the difference. Great customer service! .... I shop around hard for everything I buy and despite what people say in other reviews the price was not higher than online. By the time you get done with the transfer etc. it is same. They have been a great store, great selection (triple what any of the other stores have) and their selection has been getting bigger and better every year. Those of us in LA know what this City and State want to do these gun stores - so I am happy to support Gun World and if you ever need anything Mark and Joe are really great to work with.

The staff at Gun World are very professional, knowledgeable about firearms, and the laws pertaining to firearms. Friendly group of people. ☆☆☆☆☆
