I once thought that Comcast had the worst customer service of any company. Oh boy was I wrong. This company and especially the Burbank location gets that crown. Whats hilarious is that they dont respond to the phone or your inquires yet they take the time to respond to every negative review on here(which is 99% of reviews). Talk about priorities.

Hard to reach. Long wait times. I was supposed to have auto pay but got an emailed statement last month and couldnt open because I dont have a reference code. MY bill that is sent to MY personal email provided by ME to this company is harder to access than Fort Knox! I dont have the luxury of sitting on hold all day. I also need to order supplies but cant because I dont know my account number and guess what? I cant get it because I cant open my bill without it! Apria, please make your services more user friendly!!!

Worst ever. In May I sent a long email outlining my grievances never got back to me through an app I was asked to rate same thing. I received an email saying someone would respond to me nobody ever did. Having issues with my oxygen machine they were supposed to deliver it yesterday I call at 5:00 pm closed. I called this morning they they said it wasnt to be delivered yesterday it was to be delivered today and I said no thats not what I was told. It is on the schedule for today between 12:30 and 4:30 guess what I called back at 3:45 to find out whats going on cuz I was going to have a 2-hour window when somebody was going to call me and I was told no and scheduled for today between 3:00 to 7: 00.Guess what its 9:18 pm and no oxygenmachine.

My husband has been trying to replace his recalled sleep apnea machine since June and it is impossible to talk to anyone knowledgeable or helpful at Apria. This is an important health issue and we cannot get this so called health care company to act professionally!

This company should not be in healthcare. I broke my leg and needed durable medical equipment ASAP. After receiving orders from my doctor and approval from my insurance this company failed to provide the needed equipment. Apria’s representatives are insincere and in effective with dealing with patients/people in medical crisis. The systems are ineffective and lack the moral integrity of any business that provides wellness services. In general, the company is morally bankrupt.I was delivered the wrong equipment after a dozen calls of tracking the order from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM, 13 hours of pure hell. They lie, they give you delivery times no show, no call. This is a criminal organization, intentionally or unintentionally.It is a crime to take insurance money and not deliver services. DO NOT USE THEM.

There is no customer service at this horribly run company. I am currently on hold at Apria in Burbank. I spoke to the operator who basically knows nothing. This is my 15th call to Apria. Each time i get a different and wrong answer to my question about my order. I am on hold waiting to speak with Frank the manager...it has been 23 minutes of holding.. i am going to hang up again and call Healthnet my medical insurance provider to complain. No need to hang up. They just disconnected my call....

Wish there was negative stars.Clearly the upper management does not care about there customers.They are clueless and they all need new retraining from an outside source, Should do clean sweep from the top down.Customer service in all areas is substandard. Staff just give lip service, no follow through or follow up, just get the run around The generic inconsistent answers are unprofessional. I DO NOT KNOW HOW THEY STAY IN BUSINESS !Multiple consistently poor reviews should give you a clear indication of the magnitude of management not carrying about the customer.I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM!!!!!!!!Positive action would be to address the information in the reviews, and implement correction actions and processes instead of trying get the names of the reviewer. I have a preemie baby at home and I desperately needed to rent a breast pump, it’s been over two weeks of me trying to get it and now finally I was told the pump is being sent. They only send me small plastic part to go with the pump and not the actual pump. What am I supposed to do with it? How many calls and attempts does it take so that the idiot on the other line can read the prescription and fulfill it especially since I spelled it out for them and asked for specific model. Awful service.

Ive been calling for over an hour... I called 4 times picked the option to get a call back when it came to my turn and i got a call back all four times the only thing is when it rang I got hung up on those four times. I ended up calling back but this time to their payment center and actually got an answer by a sweet lady named Ricky I explained what had happend she tried to connect me to someone put me on hold came back and apologized for the inconvenience she did mention she got in contact with someone but since mon and tues are their busiest days it was going to be a while so thinking okay this is it i agreed to wait waited 20 min to only get hung up again.. Im very disappointed I haven t had an issue until now and only because of a phone call. It almost seems they hang up on purpose due to the fact that they are super busy on mon and Tuesdays.. Ricky mentioned she was going to write something up and let her manager know.. Reading from the reviews they arent really doing much to change... I hope I can get a hold of someone.

HORRIBLE company, I have a CPAP machine that only works some of the time. I have been trying to get them to call me back since August and here I am in November. They do not care about the patient. I have no choice because KAISER only contracts with APRIA ugh Kaiser please help!

Quite possibly the worst DME company ever, they dont answer their branch office phone number and this is clearly unsafe when dealing with patients health care needs.Please use alternative agencies such as apgaurd DME or western drug DME.I called their corporate office to complain and they also dont answer the phone.What disgrace to the health care industry.

Absolutely horrible. I am now going on 4 weeks waiting for my supplies. The prescription the authorization (yes I have great insurance) all is there and there are no issues. I just cant get a straight answer of when my machine and supplies will be sent. I have been transferred to 7 people each one has given me a different story/reason

This is clearly a large organization. Their web site boasts that it serves 2 million patients in 50 states of the USA. The organization has clearly grown too big to be manageable. Because they have the Medicare connection figured out, they are WAY more focused on getting reimbursement from the Health Care Insurer (Payer), rather than my concerns as an end-customer of their services. Clearly, the Payer is the customer that Apria serves, not the patients.

Its impossible to communicate with this company. For any interaction, they want me to call their customer service line, where I wait on hold interminable for some ill-trained representative to fail to know how to handle my issue. Every shipment I get has inserts saying how important customer service is to Apria, and if I would not rate their service four stars I should call their customer service line (where I wait on hold interminable for some ill-trained representative to fail to know how to handle my issue). In other words, they rate themselves four stars, unless you call and complain . . . and calling and complaining is a hellish ordeal. Avoid this company if you possibly can.

Horrible. Apria is what gives healthcare in this country a bad name. SHAME ON YOU! I was put on hold twice -- for 30 minutes and 37 minutes -- and was NEVER helped. I NEVER got to order what I needed. This is NO WAY to treat people. Customer Service is TERRIBLE.NOTE: (6/12/18) After writing this review, two months ago, I have received my equipment from Apria and have been very happy with it. Since my initial nightmare when trying to make contact, I have so far had a good experience with Apria in ordering and receiving my equipment.

I have been using the Burbank Branch for about three years. My visit was okay. There is limited parking at this branch. I changed physicians and returned the CPAC machine. Had a hard time with the staff. A few months later I saw a new pulmonary specialist that recommended that I used a CPAC machine. It took over a month and several telephone calls to obtain a new machine. Then I started receiving billing from the main office for an unpaid account. I spoke to the main office the representative said she corrected the records. A couple of months later I received a letter requesting that I return all the equipment and find another provider because they have not been paid by Medicare. I called Medicare about 1:00 A.M. I spoke to a supervisor who said that Apria had failed to notify the Contractor for Medicare that the CPAC was returned and months later a new prescription was issued for a different type of CPAC machine.The next day I called the main office at Apria told the representative what Medicare had said followed up by a letter. I have not had any problems since. My supplies are delivered on time. My visits to the Burbank Branch have been pleasant. I called the support line on Saturday for a visit to the Burbank Branch the visit was scheduled on Monday. Over the last year the phone has improved.

If I could give a negative stars I would. I have tried to schedule a pick-up of a hospital bed 4 times and each time the drivers showed up well outside the pick-up time frame I was given. They never called ahead as I was promised they would. I have wasted full days waiting around for the drivers only to discover that I had been taken off the schedule. I even talked to the corporate office hoping Id get better service after the drivers failed to show up by 2pm as promised but even as the woman was assuring me that if I could be home from 6pm-9pm the drivers would be there. When at 8:30p I had not received a call saying they were on their way, I called the office again only to learn that they had taken me off the delivery schedule for that day because the drivers had been to my house at 4pm (just when I was being given the 6-9 pick up time) and had me down as a no show so the three hours I sat at my house waiting, when I could have been comforting my daughter through the loss of her father were for nothing. I was promised call after call that never came through. I was promised delivery times that were never adhered to. Even the office said they can try to give me a pick up time but its all in the hands of the drivers - who obviously have not mastered the use of the telephone. This was the WORST experience I have ever had with any company in my entire life!

The people here are terrific IF you can ever reach them. Their phone queue is HORRENDOUS!! I have NEVER called Apria healthcare without waiting at least 45 minutes on hold. The average wait time for me has been over an hour. The problem is that my health insurance uses them for my equipment and I have no choice. Regardless of the option that you choose on the automated phone system you are screwed. Whether its a simple question for customer service, or the reordering of supplies figure youll be on hold for an hour! Its criminal that this company most likely knows that their customer base is stuck with them so it allows them to under staff and screw the public. If I had any other option Id take it. Obviously they dont care!

If Kaiser has you ordering your supplies through this company...STOP!! READ THIS.This company is a disgrace. Here is why:1. Their staff seems to lack basic understanding of customer service. When you call them, its like theyre doing you a HUGE favor by talking to you. Ive spoken to 7-10 representatives about orders that were not delivered to us, asking for refunds, etc. and each time, the tone of the staff reflected how much of an inconvenience it was for them to assist me.2. They use a dishonest, fishy delivery service called GSO. This company, GSO, has delivered our supplies 3 times - yet we never received a single shipment. One of Aprias representatives let it slip that they frequently have issues with GSO but couldnt tell me why they are still using them. Totally disgraceful business practice!4. I have spent anywhere from 40 - 130 minutes on the phone with them to get a simple refund. Ive had a representative put me on hold for 30 minutes JUST TO CHECK THE NOTES ON THE ORDER. Incompetence. Total incompetence.5. When I finally got through to someone about the refund, they conveniently couldnt find any notes about the refund on my account. After going through everything that happened with them on the phone, I was again put on a 15 minute hold.Im just going to say this:If Kaiser has you ordering your supplies through this company, you need to stop the order immediately. GO ON AMAZON. I found the same equipment there, and I saved $28.73 on my order.I feel really terrible for anyone who has to work at this company. The Better Business Bureau has it rated at B-, which is a compliment.

My equipment was approved well before the end of March. Apria took until early May to get around to letting me have the equipment. They are polite but incredibly slow and inefficient. You have to keep pounding on them to get anything from them.

One of my doctors ordered an overnight test to see if I qualified for a CPAP machine. The first lady that called was very polite and told me about the test and that they would try to do it that night. In the afternoon they had not called back and I thought I should call them that they could not enter my apartment after 7:30pm but that was a useless waste of time since the phone line 1) said go to their web site repeatedly, 2) then I got a fax machine noise on the line, 3) then I got a computer modem going off on the same line and 4) just before it hung up Heard the start of a conference call. After 20min the phone automatically hung up on me. The next day was no better but after 20min a person did answer and correct my address and then put me on hold for another 20min another person then answered the phone and after 10min of not answering my questions and telling me that something not ordered by doctor was being sent was all I could take (red hot angry) and I hung up on her. After 3 weeks, the Brea office finally called back and sent the test kit out. The doctor ordered the test on Feb 21, 2017 and I finally got the kit (through Brea office not Burbank) on March 15, 2017. Burbank office was really hard to deal with. Somebody needs to separate FAX, Computer modem and conference call lines from main phone line. Phones need to be answered in less than 20min or do like other places that take down your phone number and then in 20min call back.

This place is awful....They have a customer service line with untrained staff. Was told to go to an APRIA office in Burbank at 9AM. It does not even open until 10AM. I was one of three people given the wrong info. The staff on property stated they have trouble with their own Customer Service....Just awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was given an apointment time of 4:45 by the Apria appointment phone scheduler. When I arrived at the Apria business (after an hour in rush hour traffic) I was told my appointment had been at 4:00 pm and no one would see me now. Also, the sign on the building was so small and only on the door, making it very hard to find, as the door is not easily visible from the street. So far, Apria has been a very frustrating business to deal with.

Horrible operations and organization! Particularly the Burbank branch. After one month of picking up the equipment they are still showing no record and keep charging us. Worse than that, my father has passed and they keep calling his phone and my mom’s phone about the oxygen and hospital bed that they already picked up. After 5 calls from me, they still won’t resolve it. They even said they are sending a truck to the house tonight and it’s the one month anniversary of his death. Absolutely horrendous.
