Hands down one of the best comic shops in the western US. Every time I show up, I see new books. I wish I lived closer but then Id be broke. Jeff doesnt advertise so you need to see his FB posts for the new stuff. He knows his stuff, has excellent customer service and will give discounts to regulars. Hint: become a regular.
Holey moley this place is great, Ive been to every comic shop in Washington and this is in the top 5. May not be the biggest shop but it has a surprisingly great collection.alot of consecutive issue and many full series bundles and keys.This is a true comic book Shop from the good old days.I have never blew my budget so fast (comics are inexpensive but had a lot of good stuff I bought). They had everything I was looking for and a few surprises I had given up looking for. Highly recommend this shop if you love Comics and are looking for back issues.Best shop in the greater Seattle area.
Defiantly will return. The owner is a down to earth, and knows his business very well. This is the first time visiting a business of this nature and when we left we were happy, and learned a few things. He was eager to help us and share his knowledge, never made us feel dumb for not having the knowledge one may have going into his establishment. I cant say enough positive things that would do this business and the owner operator justice. Thank you again sir for your time. We will return and recommend Ancient Comics to everyone.

I try to go in once a week. Ancient Comics is far and away my favorite comic shop. There is no close second. Jeff is an awesome guy. Fun to talk to, knowledgeable, and definitely takes care of his customers. It is no where near close to where I live but it is always worth the drive. I never leave without finding a new treasure to add to my collection. I tell everyone I meet when the subject of comics comes up to check it out. They wont be disappointed.

Great spot and super helpful and happy people working there. Huge back catalog of stuff to take you back in time. Bought a stack of spiderman to get my kid hooked. Also great if you want to do some of your own research on where the MCU is headed.
The many 5-star reviews already posted speak volumes, and I dont have much to add to whats already been said. If youre looking for specific back issues, hell point you in the right direction. I rolled up with a list on my phone, looking for some Tim Vigil comics, and he hooked me up, man. If youre looking to just browse quarter bins, youll have hours of treasure hunting ahead of you. Tons of stuff just on the walls that will either take you back to your childhood or make you drool being able to potentially pick up 1st-printing issues of a book youve only ever seen in mass-market TPB form if youre a younger comic fan. Friendly, knowledgeable, and highly recommended for comic fans of all types!
Jeff is a cool dude, very knowledgeable and welcoming to everyone that walks in. Wide selection, picked up a Blade and V for Vendetta comic. Def will come back!
The owner is such an awesome guy. He saw me semi-regularly a year and a half ago and opted to let me pay for a $3 card the next tme I was back. (I understand that $3 isnt exactly a great line of credit, but it was the gesture that stuck out to me.)Since then hell usually round down when I make a purchase, and hell always get engaged and crack a joke with me. I honestly cant say enough good about the man, this is the kind of store I wanna see in my neighborhood.

Every time I visit I always buy something. Always has all the graphic novels that I’m looking for and the owner is a really cool and hilarious guy.
This is a nice little shop. I went in with my son.He plays magic.He said that the owner is fair and works with you as far as good price. And since i know my son, i give this place four star. Check it out for yourself.
Dont go to this guy hes rude mean and he takes a quick second to come no I dont want it when its like a first edition perfect condition and everything he says rude really really rude I dont recommend him to go to nobody. Also I told this guy I was going somewhere else and he said I would go anywhere else because nobody wants your stuff. He needs to learn to stop talking down to people. Im going to the BBB and report this guy he does not need a business license when he treats people like the are dumb

We came here on free comic book day but we were pleasantly surprised. This store has thousands of comic books for a quarter. A table full of free options that day. The guy that runs it knows a lot on the subject. We will definitely be back!! Great place!

Awesome place, friendly/spunky maybe a little cocky owner. The guy made the store with the intention of doing right by people though. His prices reflect that immediately. If his personality bothers you, honestly you should let it go and see if you can find a way to be friendly. Hes cool and he has a lot of knowledge to give.
The name is true to what the store has. Upon entering store, I knew I would enjoy shopping there. Could not see the walls......comics, comics, comics. What a true comic store should be, not a gaming store. If you are looking for bronze, copper, silver or golden age, stop looking and go there. Owner was very knowledgeable and friendly, going above and beyond what is expected. Even had business cards, imagine that! This is my store.

Great older comic selection. But unfortunately the owner killed the vibe. He was not friendly at all and seemed to talk down to us like we had no knowledge. I had never been there before and he seemed irritated to answer question about his comics for sale. Being a little friendly or helpful isnt to much to expext. Made me not want to have to deal with him again. Happy comic hunting yall.

Ive gone in there a few times, and theres a pretty decent selection of comics, but I cant get over how the manager behaves. I have a friend whos black, and hes one of the nicest guys in the world & takes great care of everything he touches. Whenever I go in there, the manager doesnt say much of a thing to me, but every single time my friends gone in there, the owner has thrown a fit & said that he wants the friend to leave because he feels like the friend will steal something. Im 99% sure the guys doing this just because my friend is black, and it really upsets me whenever I see it.The selection of comics may be decent, but given the behavior of the proprietor of the store Id rather just take a bus & visit some other comic store than give my money to some guy who thinks its good business to discriminate against potential customers.
They have the best selection of comics for miles around. love coming here and spending time searching for that one comic to take home and read

What an awesome comic shop. They have tons of back issues, some sorted, some unsorted. There is a lot to find. The prices are way below what most guides say, while the unsorted mix is priced at only .25 cents. The staff was awesome and very knowledgable. I drove over 70 miles to check this place out, and it was well worth it. I will gladly go back any day.

I have been going to this place for years and all I have to say is that no other comic book store in the Pacific Northwest can even come close to competing with Ancient Comics and all of their amazing back issues.They have quarter comics, dollar comics, a large range of 50% off comics, Silver age, golden age, number ones, need I go on? If youre looking for rare or just need to complete your collection, Ancient Comics needs to be the first and last place you visit to get what you need.

What was supposed to be a nice shopping trip turned into a terrible experience with a very little man. Not only in stature but as well as integrity. We were in the shop to pick up some older spidey books and a group of guys came in trying to get some comics appraised. the owner told them their comics were garbage and he wouldnt even pay 5 cents for them. Weve been looking for comics to do some art projects so my wife told them to email us and wed pick up anything the store didnt want. From there the owners attitude changed. I am pretty sure he was trying to rip those guys off and our offer seemed to mess with his lowballing. Disgusted with the practice, we left the store and decided to vote with our wallet. My wife dropped her bracelet and had to go back in. 2 minutes later my wife is running from the store in tears, owner chasing after her with his fists raised like he was gong to hit a woman. Needless to say, we called the police and the owner got what he deserved. The little man told the police he thought she stole something despite the camera evidence. The cops told us there was no crime and that this wasnt the first time theyve dealt with him for similar reasons but since there was no actual crime, there was nothing they could do. So please shop at Ancient Comics if you want to deal with a crappy owner who is violent towards women or want to pay too much for magic cards. The comic selection was great and the true crime here is it belongs to a terrible person.
