Much better than the Renton location. They have boats head and much better stocked organic selection.

I went to my local Fred Meyer’s on Saturday and was pleased to see that most people were complying with mask mandates. I observed both a bread delivery person and a Pepsi person without masks covering their mouth and nose. One customer was walking around without a mask at all but what was most concerning to me were the three or four employees of the Fred Meyer with uncovered faces.

Every time I visit here, the checkout lines are always completely overflowing. Theyll have maybe 3 people working the checkstands and the self checkout will be spilling in to the aisles as well. It doesnt matter what time of day. They are perpetually understaffed. But not understaffed enough to not put someone at the door to harass you to see your receipt and basically accuse you of being a thief. The store itself is fine. Good, even, but management obviously has their heads where the sun dont shine and dont care about the shopping experience of the customer.

When I have to go to a larger grocery store, Fred Meyers in Burien is where I shop. Fred Meyers is now owned by Kroger they also own QFC grocers. For most part they are pretty average when it comes to grocery stores. There prices on the basics- like milk, eggs, and bread. Very good prices compared to other large chains. Only issue I have with them, extremely bad customer service. You can ever find any employee on the floor to help with questions. And they like most large chains, have all gone to those self checkout stations. Which I refuse to use on principle it takes away jobs, and TRUE customer service. Is in good location and plenty of parking.

They turned the AC off to prevent people hanging out in the store...?

One of the worst FMs Ive been to, but sadly one of the better grocery stores in the area. I have literally never come out with everything I went to get; they are always out of something (moreso lately, but its mostly not their fault right now). I have never been to a grocery store where there is always spilled milk in the milk case and it consequently always smells of rotten milk. Im pretty sure its actually a health violation. I have on several occasions found or accidentally purchased expired items. If there were better choices I would go anywhere else, but the Safeways nearby are worse. They also have a machine in one entryway that lets people sell used electronics like phones. I am completely convinced that the vast majority if not all of the users are not selling items they acquired in a legal fashion; its basically a store-sponsored fencing operation.I guess the bottom line is that I only come here because theres not much choice, otherwise I wouldnt. But at least the employees are always super nice; its the one saving grace here.

My girlfriend and I rode our bikes there on a sunny Sunday afternoon but when we got there we realized we didnt have a lock. I watched the bikes while she went in and picked up her Western Union. Then I went in to buy a few groceries while she watched the bikes. In less than 5 minutes she called me and said I had to get out there because security told her she couldnt stand by the bike rack and wait for me. I hurriedly grabbed a couple things, forgetting many others, and checked out. Very frustrating especially since while we were getting ready to go a different security guard came by and was very sympathetic and told us we were smart to be concerned about our bikes.

Today is Easter Sunday, at 4:00 pm:I was checking out when I was rudely NOT greeted by the cashier, who was wearing bunny ears. I let her know my day was good anyway and thanked her for her service, she then told me she was going to call someone else to complete my purchase. She also rudely stated I had a “funky attitude” and stormed off. I was then rudely approached by a woman named Kelsey, she was extremely dismissive and did not greet nor apologize for her coworkers lack of professionalism. She continued bagging my items while glaring at me instead of looking at my items I was trying to purchase. After paying for some of my things she noticed she did not scan a very large item I had, I mentioned it was probably because she was staring at me and not at my items. I was then asked to leave. Which I did... I understand it is a holiday and front line workers and stressed and over worked but basic customer service lacked tremendously, from the staff to the management. I will not be shopping here again. Do better Fred Meyer!!

Poor pick up experience. I drove around looking for the pick up location sign and couldnt find it. I was at the front entrance of the store. I called and spoke to the customer service department and was told oh its at the back of the store so I drive to the back. Im driving in circles trying to find the pick up station. Cant find it anywhere. So I ask workers that were on their break if this was the back of the store, they say yes, I asked where do I pick up a food order, they said ooohhhh you need to go to the side of the store by the garden center why didnt the order state that to begin with and worse why didnt the lady working in the store know to tell me that. I was extremely flustered by the time I got my order. 3 stars because the rep that brought out my order was polite .

Customer service was so bad, i had this one employee, orange air maxes, looked hispanic or white, pretty overweight but they were so slow, i had to wait like 30 minutes!!! can you believe that!? then they didnt even help me load my groceries after i asked for some help, find better employees, fit employees, not some overweight slow workers

I’m only giving this Fred Myers a 5 to the florist in the floral department. Dat is his name and when I say he was so amazing!! He was very polite and sooooo helpful.. He went out of his way to decorate the flowers I purchased for my kids grandmother. He did a great job. Fred Myers did a great job by hiring such a great spirit man. Thank you, we appreciate you and hope to have more employees like Dat at this store.

I put a flyer on the board near the bath room when i went back to check on it it was removed. just trying to make extra money during hard times.That is a low blow for someone that needs the money. I will find a new store to shop at it seems like they are more & more like safeway with there new card.

Fred Meyer offers a huge selection of products. Grocery, household, furniture, clothing, health, etc.The prices are competitive. They have good deals on selected items each month.It can get crowded at times.

DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY!1. My Drs office called in a script but they made me wait an hour before telling me they didnt have it. When the Drs office called back they made HIM wait an hour before they found it. THey were too incompetent to write my birthdate correctly.. So to recap: I stood there for an hour with all the data and they insisted it wasnt there because they inverted 2 digits. No one even checked to see if it arrived until I was there 30 minutes, then someone got back from break and checked voice mail.2. THey were the only ones with Covid vaccination appointments available so I went back. THey never uploaded me to the Washington database as they were supposed to. When my Drs office called again (same guy) they promised to fax proof but of course did not. I am taking care of this myself now.NOPE.They have twice the people working here that WalMart does, yet WalMart can do their job! Im staying there.

RATS in the store while people are shopping I can only imagine what its like at night probably a rat convention I feel bad for the night time workers Im not buying any food there anymore thats for sure and will be inspecting any and everything actually I dont know I may just drive to a different location or even a different store

I like shopping at Fred Meyer. I always find a good sale there like the size 30 belts I bought for my 28-inch waist 😂. It was $30 but the sale brought it down to $24 so I bought two. I also had to add cherries & raspberries to my list. The store was a bit crowded today but its a weekend. The staff are professional & friendly. Love it!!

Its huge with almost everything you could be looking for but I dont understand why you must pay for atleast one bag even if you dont need one, also people these days are encouraged to carry their own reusable shopping bags in many grocery stores.

Bakery just stole my time by putting a note Im on break well be back in 10 minutes, now they owe me more than 20 minutes of the day I was needed a birthday cake.

So I am updating this review, down 2 stars. Seeing how the virus has been handled when I was working for this company (different location, but still) has given me less reason to believe in retail management. It seems there are very few retail companies that operate in this state that actually care about their employees. Crazy that I used to think FM was one of them.

Dont buy anything you think you might have to return unless you like standing in line. The item I bought was defective but I blew off the $20 I spent rather than stand around the store for a half an hour.

Whats not to like? Its a department + grocery store all in one. Amazing home section with surprising deals and sales, I got Esteban here for a steal at only $40 right before Halloween, full sized Skellys can go for over $70 online! Their prices are in line with the standard, huge selection of beers and wines. Great deli and meat selection. Always super fresh produce, often have great sales on BIG avocados and mangos. Sanitizer wipes at the front door and everyone wears a mask. Feels very clean and safe inside.

Customer service had one person working dispite having over a dozen ppl in line at one time and I was number eight! And one of the customers was doing something that took over 10 minutes alone and had to get a manager involved. The manager seeing this line still didnt get anyone else to help get us customers thru any faster! It was absolutely ridiculous!!!That experience alone makes me want to now go to Walmart and/or Target as my first choice for that type of store in the future.

I used to shop here and felt fine earlier on in the pandemic, but as time went on management clearly didnt care about what was *actually* happening in their community. Going through the motions and claiming to protect staff and guests is not enough, and its had real world effects.Ive been safely isolating with my partner and ONLY leaving the house to get groceries, always at Fred Meyer. I got COVID tested before starting a new job, and to my surprise tested positive. Even before my positive results, lets touch on what I observed:Staff sneaking their masks down while stocking shelves or on calls in the middle of aisles;Not A ONE SINGLE person counting number of entrants and comparing to those leaving, resulting in an often way-overcrowded store and shopping experience;Carts and baskets in complete dissarray with nobody actively cleaning them (because the honor system works best when stopping the spread of a deadly virus, amirite);People just completely maskless and staff nowhere to say anything;and FILTHY fixtures. Like literally the entire cheese cooler along the east side of the store has a moat underneath with old price labels and God knows what else living down there, let alone covid. Srsly pay someone to clean it, no one cares if the Tostitos labels are facing the same way if the Babybel cheese wheels give you SARS-COV-2, right?Three days ago was my last trip to Fred Meyer. I went in the early hours to avoid the crowd, but STILL completely maskless shoppers and staff noses and mouths EVERYWHERE.The medical professionals handling my covid test were shocked that even though Ive taken social distancing protocols seriously, stayed home somehow I tested positive after only leaving the house for groceries. Mystery = Solved.Like, I get it. Corporations are evil and stores are going to just try and drive profits, but when youre actively infecting shoppers and staff, thats just deplorable. Especially when your staff is getting sick, and to some reports, even dying. (this is a claim Ive seen in one article that needs further validating; dont take my word for it.)Anyway, trader joes stays safe and open and actually controls shopper capacity. Save yourself and your community; avoid the Fred Meyer like the (almost-literal) plague.

The baggage attendent Jessica short Hispanic girl. Ripped the cart out of my hand while I was inline at 6:45pm on Sunday the 30th because I didnt pull the cart far enough up. It was very petty and she has an attitude when she shouldnt. I was very friendly. The gal ringing me up was super nice. But Jessica sits there with a disgusted look on her face. Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. Online order, store left security cap on alcohol. Got home called customer service was told to bring bottle back, 30 minutes away. They made no attempt to right mistake or accept responsibility. Be careful when you drive away customer service stops and its your problem, check your orders.

Drove 35 minutes to buy a Nintendo Switch only to be told the electronics employees didn’t show up to work today and didn’t have the keys to access anything.What kind of company let’s a store employee take home the keys to the electronics!? All of the employees I talked to were rude and disrespectful. I’ll spend my $400 + somewhere else.

I’ve been shopping at the Burien Fred Meyer for just over 10years. I could be incredibly irritable after the 509 experience and walk in there- and the vibe was always pretty cool. The cashiers were awesome, even if you had to wait at customer service for something, they were efficient. It was great. Was being the operative word. Since the remodel- the flow has changed, customers bond more in being lost than in a general community groove- AND they 86’d most of their cashiers!! Replaced with more lines of self check, some of the regular faces I enjoyed working with to complete my transactions- just, gone. It’s really sad. I went there at 6:30 tonight, a Friday- and they had only 3 human cashiers outside the self checks- and the self checks had huge lines because 1 person is trying to keep the flow in a busy shopping time. I very rarely shop there anymore. Fortunately the newer PCC has actual people at the checkout lines- but there are some things you just can’t find there or they cost more. I wish Kroger had just let a good thing keep being good. It’s sad to lose the sense of community, chill and efficiency that the old Fred Meyer had.

First off.... I spend thousands in this store & have for yeaaaaars. I go more than once a week, sometimes days in a row. I had bought the wrong water filter for my sink water filter system. I tried to return the UNOPENED filter and was told nope they can’t issue the refund. I just wanted a store credit because I was about to shop & re-spend it in their store anyhow! I’m VERY unhappy about this, good bye Fred Meyers I’ll be taking my shopping somewhere else from now on since my business isn’t worth more to you than a less than $20 filter! Your clerk is rude as hell too!!! DONE!

I can usually find the products I use and the quality is consistent

I think the prices can be more competitive with Safeway across the way, but the workers there have been among the best Ive seen. The Starbucks there has a worker named Steven who rocked his shift pretty well! And some of the grocery workers near the deli also have been helpful. I havent had any of the deli yet, but thankfully they dont look miserable, or are good at hiding it. Ive also gotten a bulk majority of my Starlink stuff from the electronics section. Keep up the good work everyone there!

I have gone to this store three times now since being on vacation for a week. I absolutely love it! They have everything I need and even more. My favorite is the mochi ice cream that I have never seen anywhere else. The bakery made bagels are really delicious and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend!

Fred Meyer in Burien is at a good location. Its large enough to have most essentials. Has a good customer service desk and helpful staff. Prices are in line with other stores. The best thing about it is of course, the variety from food to clothing to electronics. Its a nice all in one stop option.

This location could be cleaner and more organized. However some parts were Great!

Its a nice grocery store. They have a lot of stuff. Pretty large organic section. Im not one who shops there, but it is noticeably large. Prices seem reasonable. Things are easy to find. They have the gas station too, which is nice. It also has a large self checkout, which I really like. Lines never seem to be too long.

I had to get groceries on Christmas Eve morning, possibly the busiest time of the year to be in a supermarket. I was ridiculously impressed by how well-stocked they kept the food, how clean the aisles were, and EVERY register was open and ALL of them had a bagger so the cashier could scan items as quickly as possible. There were massive lines at checkout just with how many people were there, but the staff kept lines moving quickly and efficiently, and my cashier and bagger had bright smiles and good conversation. Just wanted to thank this Fred Meyer for a job well done - I know today was probably a stressful day to work, but I appreciated how much less stress it was for me to shop today because of the amazing staff.

I buy my dog food here..today as i reached for a shopping cart a guy screamed at me in a anguish filled voice.WHY are you taking that shopping cart?I turn to see its a actual store employee..having a literal shouting meltdown over a shopping cart.So i walk quickly back to my car..The crazy gets better..there os now another angry male employee driving a forklift and honking at cars?So if you enjoy watching crazy..great place for you

Terrible custo.er service. Cashier forgot to remove one of the security tags so when I was leaving the alarm went off. The guy at the door said i needed to wait so he could check so I placed my bags on the floor next to him and handed him my recipt. He then told me that I need to help him figure out what the problem was. I said to maintain social distancing I couldnt go through the bags with him but he has my bags and receipt so he can do it. He then told me I had to go back to the cashier and have them removed. I said that doesnt seem right if theres a problem they need to fix it i shouldnt have to wait in line again for their mistake. He verified what I had in my receipt and in my bags and said you just need to go i feel like I was treated like a criminal and I was embarrassed I had to go through that in fron of the store. The alarm sti went off when I went back through and I asked if they were going to take care of it and he told me to leave. Not all young people steal. Very disappointing how this situation was handled

Do not use the customer service center at the burien fred Meyers . It literally took 1 hour and I was the third person in line. They are rude and inconsiderate of their customers.

I do most of my shopping there. Best selection of organic and healthy groceries at the best prices. Also I can get almost anything else I want or need there. Very convenient and friendly staff.

The electronics department is extremely rude. I will gladly talk to anyone about the poor treat I received. I left and went to the Renton location. I told the clerk what happened and he said thats typical from what he heard.The rest of the store is very dirty. But does have a nice selection.

Have loved Fred Meyer for decades! First the Broadway location (now closed) and Greenwood (still open). I was so happy to move out to Burien and find this location. The meat department staff are always helpful!

Im so glad Fred Meyer is here in our community . . . great place to shop . . . generally good values . . . purchases get us discounts on the gas on site . . . good quality produce . . . great selection of everything one would need from a trip to the store, and open fairly late as well. Im thankful for this place. Never a bad experience in the last three years!!!

We shop here regularly. Whenever weve needed help finding something, theyve been helpful. My only (strong) recommendation, having grown-up as a grocers daughter, is that they need to train the cashiers (etc) how to properly bag groceries.

I love the convenience of everything under one roof. However, you pay extra for that. Especially for hardware and cleaning supplies. Their grocery prices are competitive, and their produce section is high quality with a good selection of both regular and organic items.

The staff may be friendly but they do nothing to help you. Told someone it would be nice if he quit putting things on the top shelf and he laughed at me I told him I wasnt joking. Not everyone is 6 feet tall.

Horrible Customer service. I went in with my daughter and needed help at the self checking stand. I asked Andrea who was standing by to help customers and instead of helping me she directed me to someone else when she was available to help me. I went to speak to Kelsey the manager and she just told me she would talk to her and said nothing else to me. Horrible customer service!!

I usually love Fred Meyer (Smiths, Kroger) and Ive been to this location a few times. Everytime I went I had a different but snobby cashier. Its Fred Meyer, are you kidding me?? My daughter told me she had the same kind of experiences going to this same location. Other then customer service...selection is great! I love my Kroger brands.

All was great until I tried to receive my rewards rebate. The clerk did not know how. Had to go to service desk to get it. Also, sorry to see you discontinued the whole organic chickens.

Love Fred Meyer for their selection of Natural Foods. Many vegan/plant based diet options. Their produce also seems to last the longest out of all of the chain food stores. A bit pricey on some items and they do try to trick people into buying items supposedly on sale.

Cashier gave me a 20$ discount at the self check out for no reason. Nice surprise on top of the discounted items I was purchasing I saved a ton. It would have all been about 215 before tax but after all the promos and the extra 20$ I was out the door spending 160$ w/ tax, thanks freddys!

Do most of my grocery shopping here. Good prices. Excellent selection. Often crowded but not unbearably so. In addition to groceries, has housewares and some clothing.

Nice, local store. Great selection and friendly employees. Product is usually in stock, and while it aint a Walmart, the prices are still reasonable. I like it more than Target.Check Google for peak activity times before coming here, because when it gets busy it gets BUSY.Youre always going to find parking here 100% of the time guaranteed unless its Xmas shopping season or something.

As a Kroger Shopper from Texas I was able to come to the store and use my membership card. But the Fantastic part was the pharmacy. My wife left her prescription at home and I was able to call into this store and refill the prescription there thousands of miles from home. This store went beyond the customer service expectations. Thank you Seattle Fred Meyer.

Large, very clean grocery store that provides plenty of options, including all the new standards such as organic, gluten free, etc. All the produce appeared well tended to and quite fresh. As is apparently the norm in Seattle (coming from a Midwest native and East Coast transplant), wine, beer and spirits are available to purchase here, too.

This my favorite shopping center. I think they have better pricings then Safeway. I love the gas rewards.. I love it there and I think u will too. I dont like Safeway. Their prices are too high..

Love Freddies!!! You can find everything you need here and some super good deals too if you take the time to browse. Their regular prices are top heavy however when on sale you get your moneys worth. Great service too! The red headed lady that works in playland is the best!!! She loves the kids and does a terrific job!

Too many drug addicts in the bathrooms

There is this employee name Yasmine that just have an attitude with me for nothing. I go there as a customer and she always looks at me like she wants to fight. I know theres a shortage of clerks but we gotta find employees that come to work like they wanna work. Period. No paying customers should ever feel uncomfortable. Fred meyer and qfc feels like a jerry springer zoo.

Pretty big store. I usually stop here for lunch. Its easier to park on the side of the store. This place gets really busy at times.

Its a lack of professionalism, the deal I received from the manager of that branch, Deli Department Mr. Zach. Ill ask you for the sushi - eating utensils. Utensils that in all branches of Fed Meyer are there. But in this branch, there never is. And Mr. Zach answered me, its not my problem or responsibility. In general in that branch when you are buying the employees you are treated very discourtedly and unprofessional.

Don’t shop there if you are elderly, disabled or have any mobility issues.The management of the store decided it would be a good idea to close the back entrance where the plants and garden tools are located.As a result, everyone has to use the overcrowded front entrance which has limited disability parking spots and (the last time we visited) only one broken shopping scooter.It is also quite difficult to get someone to assist you since they have shut down the registers at the back of the store and cut down on staff.When you finally manage to get an employee to assist you, the morale seems to be low. We ask a dispirited salesperson if they would re open the back and if they would hire more staff any time soon and the clerk sighed and said no.This is a shame, the store is conveniently located and a good shopping spot for the seniors in the apartment buildings nearby. Fortunately there are better and more accessible alternatives to Fred Meyers in the area.
