Love this place! Always a good book to read. The bathroom wasnt very clean but it wasnt that bad.

Really neat store. And you can sell your used movies and books! Wish they sold more accessory type items like more toys, games, t-shirts, calendars, nerdy coffee cups etc. That way you could buy more and not shop around so much. But still really cool store!

Decent selection, but I dont care for the incessant advertising of political alignment. I dont come to a book store to be shown which party the establishment clearly panders to. Reading involves intellectual escape. Political pandering is the opposite of intellectual.

The workers are kind and very helpful. Good prices for books is your buying.

Very nice book store. The books look nearly new. The priced are a little high and there arnt any old offbeat margin books.

Had called in advance about selling some books. The lady told me they could take up to 3 boxes. I brought in 2 only to be told they had enough romance novels. I drove 200 miles for them to buy 1 book from me.

Way over the top on masks, even though no longer mandate in Texas. Signs and arrows EVERYWHERE. Employees wearing them, public can chose to wear if they want, so why should they be able to force me to? Rather go to library and will do in future.

Best place to buy books, cards, and music. Weather an album (vinyl) to frame or cd to pop in your player oh and dvds. They buy your old ones, but dont expect to make top dollar. I pretend like its a coupon. Try selling them at a garage sale or ebay.

Half-Price Books is bad for me because I get lost in all of the books that I want to buy and then get overwhelmed when I cant read them all the same night I buy them.I love this place, but I do have a concern. There is a Christian section...cool...but then every other philosophy or belief is labeled as alternative beliefs and given its own mushed up, disorganized section. This seems a little disrespectful to people who may follow these alternative beliefs. I am just not sure that a second hand bookstore has the right to lay a claim on which beliefs are valid and which are alternative. I feel like better wording could solve this problem.

I love this store. Employees are cheerful and knowledgeable about what they have and dont have. I always check out the metal signs too. Theres an eclectic collection sure to make somebody smile. And if something makes me smile, I buy it so I can keep smiling.

Relaxed place to find a good read.

I love this place! The employees are knowledgeable and friendly. I called and reserved a book for my son. It was at the counter when we got there. He read a few pages and decided he didnt want to commit to it. No issue. They politely took the book back at the counter and he explored the shelves until he found something to peak his interest.... And I found a deal or two myself.

Zero Stars. Does not honor mandate to the fullest. Read it. You should accommodate those that are scared of the plan demic and let them shop online.

Ive never walked out without something in my hands, and usually a double handful. Staff is helpful when needed, otherwise you can explore at leisure. Ignore negative comment below. Without details defined it is easy for someone to be critical. I love this place and encourage you to help it stay alive.

Super controlling about mask regulations. I don’t feel like it is necessary for the employees to follow us around making sure that the mask is above my nose. Overall, very rude service.

Hey you know this store is making a customer base discrimination. I am the one of the people who like shopping from bookstores. The cashier told me that I cannot use any coupon which is officially published and distributed by HPB but she said to me that someone can use it, not me. If you do not want to mess your day, do not come this store. Rude staffs.

Great store! Wish I had more time to browse but I found what I was looking for!

I dont feel that its necessary to tell me cover my whole face. I had been out walking and was already short of breath. Shopping at your store was a luxury not a necessity. The staff needs to understand that not everyone can breathe with their faces fully covered. I just left the store.

It was ok. I didnt get that much for 25 + books.

Never disappointed at the Burleson TX store. This bookworms favorite place to spend an hour breathing in the smell of the printed word. 🥳

I appreciate that they prioritize speaking and saying hello to everyone who enters. Also glad that they categorized the clearance section again.

Will never return to this store due to discrimination. Which is really sad since my kids loved this place. They were crushed to not be allowed to enter. I will be filing formal complaints to appropriate agencies.

They have limited hours to bring in books to sell 12-3 weekdays except Thursday.They will donate or recycle any books they do not resell. You wont get rich selling to them, but it is worthwhile to take your books to them rather than trashing them. It can help others.They have a huge selection of books with a large variety of subjects. Also sell records, cds, and dvds.

One of my favorite book stores! Staff has always been super friendly and very helpful. Store is always clean. I go in for a couple of books and come out with arms full everytime. Prices are good and the super buys are not on obscure books!

This is a great area to go to! The staff are very helpful and friendly. I have not only looked for books here but have also sold books here too. They have kindly donated books to my community which has helped a lot when it comes to the kids reading skills. The place is very clean and organized. Honestly, there are no complaints on my end. I hope it stays this way!

I love HALF PRICE BOOKSTORES. But, Ive never bought a book there. I buy greeting cards there; and Ive purchased games and headphones and even calendars. They have a great selection of all kinds of things INCLUDING books.

Thus is my go to crafting supply store. No matter what time of day you enter ANY of the stores the staff is friendly, very attentive and highly suggestive.

I can always find something here! Great place to bring kids to encourage reading. Its not a used book store full of dusty old things. Clean, neat, well organized. I always leave with lots of great finds.

Didnt have the books I was looking for, but told me which stores did and offered to call to have the other store hold them for me. Great customer service and always a clean store with clean bathrooms.

This company is a pale comparison to what it used to be. Prices have inflated remarkably, and if you sell, they will pay almost nothing and throw half away.

I was shopping for journals but could not find any. Asked an employee, and they walked with me to show me where the journals were displayed. Line was quick to allow me to pay for them. Great shop, great experience!

Love this store. You can call and ask if they have what your looking for and have it at the counter for quick easy pickup. But if you have time to look around it’s well worth it. You will leave this store with great prices you spent on your books- records or whatever you buy. A great plus to this store is that the employees are very knowledgeable and can help you with a smile on their face. 😊

I always stop into this store any time I am around it. The selection if books is great as well as the prices. Personally I go in for the board games, cds, and records though. Ive found many cds at a fraction of the price it would be to get them online and Ive never had any of them not work perfectly. This is also a great place to pick up games to play with your family that are gently used. The staff are always really nice and helpful when Im there as well, I always love it when the workers joke around with me as well even though Im not a regular by any means.

Can find what you need, love having that 40% off one item that really helps!!! Hopefully the buying can get more color pencil in more variety, i have bought all of the colors there!!

Love this store. You never know what youll find. Great prices and sales fantastic. Very kid friendly and you can even bring your well behaved leashed pets.

Its nearly kept and you can find some really good buys. Id rather pay less for a book, if I can. The cashiers are not friendly, but not rude, either. Sometimes when you wait in a long line, you like to see a friendly face or a smile. Not here.

I love reading! What can be better than turning in a book not read. Picking up new books from new, favorite authors.

The cashier was way too busy to help us. She made us wait while she counted several stacks of books. Then she offered us .50 for limited edition Disney classics. Not cool!

Love this store! One of the few left in the metroplex! Great for kids books and a great selection of self help books. Gently used books are always like new.

I went in looking for a specific book. One of the staff asked if I needed help. I told her what I was looking for. She had me follow her to the registers and looked on the computer and told me they didnt have it. But called one of her associates over and told me if they have it she would find it. She logged in a different computer and told me she thought they had it! She took me straight to it! It was the only copy they had left. The staff there is totally awesome! They really went out of their way to help. To top it off... It was 2 days before Christmas.

Even though theyre the only bookstore in the area, I love coming here. I dont think Ive ever left without buying something. I get my moneys worth too. You will not be disappointed here. The staff are always happy to help.

Granted I walked in 45 minutes till closing but I counted four employees and not one greeted me or even acknowledged my presence. I was in an aisle and one employee came down the same aisle and if I hadnt moved she would have walked right into me. I even said excuse me and she didnt even respond. Neat store, uninviting, apathetic, and borderline rude staff. My return is doubtful at best.

Favorite book store ever! Saving trees by buying used books. The staff is always friendly. If they don’t have the book you’re wanting, you can have them send it over from another store. Prices are always affordable!
