Staff was very helpful in recommending what different wait times were due to covid. There is a huge selection on so many styles. I did notice many styles in now are similar to a 70/80 style which i love but some people may not.

Kristin was fantastic. She was very helpful when we needed it and gave us plenty of time and space to talk on our own and find just what we wanted. The process to ring up our purchase was quick and we are very excited to get our furniture.

As a young man I lived in New York City for a time. On occasion I might wander into a swank shop and immediately be approached by unfriendly staff who made it clear I did not belong there. I was made to feel unwelcome so I would exit quickly and not ruin the ambience. Back in VT, I dont miss that kind of experience, but if you do then go to Burlington Furniture. Here unmasked staff will cater to your sense of self-importance while weeding out the undesirables. If, like me, you left that foolishness behind then look around--there are plenty of high quality furniture shops in the Burlington area with staff who are down to earth.

Good experience in general: nice, helpful, knowledgeable staff, and good product selection.One disappointment, and the reason for four instead of five stars, is the zero negotiation posture we received, even after spending five-figures between the mattress and furniture order we placed simultaneously. It would have been a better customer experience if the salesperson had the flexibility to “throw in” some pillows, cover the deliver cost, or some similar customer recognition gesture.Can’t recall spending a similar significant sum on a good or service without some “extra”customer consideration, and is an overall strange business practice considering it results in this caveat emptor review that will likely cost the business a lot more than a few complimentary considerations at the point of sale.

Burlington furniture showcases furniture that in terms of design is often above average for the area (albeit very expensive) and it has lovely large showroom. Sadly the staff abides to an old school understanding of customer service: overwhelm the customer, create a sense of urgency in buying (literally creating a manipulative narrative around the idea that what you like may not be there in a minute, which in our case was not true given that the item was still in stock weeks later). There is no advising, if you like something they try to sell it to you, period. The whole interaction was just a step away from being openly and unashamedly rude. To buy very expensive furniture should be a joyful and relaxing journey not a nightmarish mix of verbal urgency, anxiety and a neeeexxtt attitude as if one were to be in a bagel shop. People at Burlington Furniture: I hope you can please understand that this is not normal.

Burlington Furniture has a nice selection of high quality furniture with lots of different looks and feels. We worked with Sareet, who was very knowledgeable and had great taste. She knew the inventory, quickly got a sense of what we were looking for and helped us narrow in on well made, comfortable furniture.

Best furniture shopping experience Ive had. Great combination of absolutely beautiful furniture and excellent service. We had some very specific requirements & Kristin did a great job of showing us furniture that met those requirements without wasting our time or trying to upsell us on things we didnt need. Also, no one there was pushy or put pressure on - they were very helpful but also gave us space to make decisions. I found everything at Burlington Furniture to furnish our newly renovated first floor (except for a rug and a couple small side tables). The sales staff was extremely helpful and very easy to work with -- especially Kat Whitledge. She understood what I was looking for and was spot on with suggestions.After some thoughtful revisions, and several visits, we now have intentionally designed living areas. Its such a pleasure to be home!Also, the deliveries were done when promised with great communication from the driver and his assistant. The furniture and rug was placed without rushing until it was just right.I highly recommend Kats assistance. Ill be back for dining room help next!

Burlington Furniture is has been my go to for at least the past 5 years. I have been working with Sandra all along and cant say enough great things about her, shes the best! I trust her opinion, she has great taste in design. I just recently purchased a new couch and ottoman from her and the experience was outstanding. I would highly recommend Burlington Furniture, and ask for Sandra!

Terrible customer service and follow through to find our order - which is still not arrived for delivery after almost 9 months. We purchased a Natuzzi couch in late November, 2020. We were told the wait time would be 8 - 12 weeks (3 - 4 months) due to the pandemics impact on logistics and shipping. No word for months. I finally called the end of March for an update (4 months). Assured the couch would be here in April. No word until late April. I called again. Again assured the couch was being shipped and word on delivery would come soon. No word for weeks. I had to call,, again. Finally, in May, I was informed that we were given the wrong date and never given the correct information in all of the months we were waiting. Our couch had not been shipped, and was not going to be shipped until JULY. Wait, gets worse. End of June comes, and I have to call, again, to get an update on the shipment. Still no confirmation of where the couch is and a delivery date. Assured we were in the home stretch. I had to call several more times to get the staff to work with the trucking company shipping the couch. Due to arrive the week of August 16th. Today, I am informed they know NOTHING more than they did in late June. The couch is in transit, they think. They have no way to track it. Shocking. No delivery date, no follow through. Nothing but more empty words, including the very same we are in the home stretch now No one has EVER reached out to keep me updated. I always have to call or email. I cannot imagine what would make me ever want to shop here again.

Beautiful selection of items both to order and in stock. Kristin was very helpful and pleasant. I found some lovely Shaker pieces for the bedroom and plan on returning in the future.

This place has the ugliest, furniture I’ve ever shopped for with the least variety. Also if you want to spend less then $1600 on literally anything good luck. This is literally a store for people who gave unlimited income who have nothing better to do but to fill their house with unneeded, expensive, useless furniture. Also no one came up to talk to use or ask us for help the whole time we were in the store. Thanks for nothing

This was a great shopping experience! There is a large variety of modern furniture both in stock, or customizable to your specifications. The staff are super friendly and helpful! We came months ago and again today and the employee we worked with remembered us. They can deliver your furniture - i live in state about 100 miles away, not sure what the radius is but they will deliver there and haul away old furniture away as well. Highly recommended!

We recently bought a sleeper sofa from Kristin Baker. Wow, does she know her stuff! What could have been a painful, lengthy visit was perfect. She helped us pick the right sofa, a great fabric, and got all the paperwork done in no time. Very professional and fun to work with. You can’t go wrong with this place.

We stopped by Burlington furniture and I booked Desiree for a consultation. She has been such a great help in this process of redesigning and the furniture she has access to here is gorgeous! I really enjoyed the fact that she takes your lifestyle into account when selecting furniture, I.e. kids and pets, which fabrics they mesh will with or which are recommended to avoid (I enjoy easy to clean furniture). After my husband and I decided to buy our first home, we were excited to decorate our new place. We watched a lot of home decorating shows and found lots of inspiration for future furniture designs for a long time before we bought our first home. We are a young married couple, so we wanted to make our home look comfy but also modern. The biggest challenge was buying sofas, accent chairs and dining table and chairs. Because we know we would use these all the time, they should be very solid and comfortable!! (I don’t know how many times we sat and laid back on chairs and recliners in different stores, but we did it a lot!!!!!) We visited a lot of stores and drove a lot to find our desired furniture. The last store we visited was Burlington Furniture. We told them our budget, and they were happy to help us to find furniture in our budget. After visiting there, we still looked around at other stores and online as well, but we couldn’t find quality furniture at that price. The staff are very professional. Sareet who is designer in this store, helped us to choose our furniture. When she was not in the office, other people were happy to help us as well. We bought a recliner sofa and were able to choose the color from a lot of options. The accent chairs are also great, and everybody asks us where we bought them! We also bought a small dining room table and 4 chairs. The dining table was made by Copeland, which is locally made!! It is very nice. The dining chairs we bought cannot be found in any other store in Vermont! We have used this furniture for months. Still they look super great, feel comfortable, and they make our home look modern. I really recommend this store and if I have to buy other furniture, I definitely will choose the Burlington furniture first!!

Large, well laid out, and well lit showroom. The furniture is above average in quality, though not exceptional, you get what you pay for. The prices tend to run a bit higher than what you get at a chain retailer, but the selection is more thoughtful

They are very helpful. I went in during a clearance sale, as I had a certain amount I wanted to spend on a new mattress. The sales woman gave me an extremely good deal and now I also plan to buy my new bed frame there and couch when Im ready. Thank you Burlington Mattress/Burlington Furniture! (I remember when they were the Burlington Futon Company).

My delivery was scheduled for a specific date and window of time. I was told to expect a phone call the evening prior to confirm delivery. I did not receive the phone call. I called the next morning to confirm that our delivery was still on the schedule as planned. They said it was not. Andrew asked if he could call me back with a plan. He called me within 15 minutes & said that a warehouse truck is available & another employee is available to assist with our small delivery. Andrew and Chris showed up within the hour with our furniture. Both men were very courteous and professional.

After A LOT of mattress shopping around Burlington and Chittenden, the best value we found for a BeautyRest was Burlington Furniture Company. Also, they had the biggest selection. After about a year, we were still happy with the kingsize mattress, so we decided to buy more bedroom furniture for our new place.We bought a frame and matching dresser. The wood looks great, it is very modern, and we are very happy with both.We also bought a futon mattress and frame. We have had a few guests sleep on it, and everyone said it was great. The futon cover is easy to wash.The delivery was easy to schedule, on time, and the guys who delivered it could not have been nicer or more professional.It has been about 5 months since we bought the bedroom furniture, and we are still very happy with everything, so I can confidently recommend this store.

I purchased a sectional two years ago and within 9 months one of the corner section seats started to develop a space or hole in the cushion. I contacted them and was given a replacement since it was within the year warranty. The fabric was slightly different but we dealt with it.Now another corner is having the same issue and it’s not in warranty any more.I guess I expect better quality when spending $2200.00 on a piece of furniture and I am disappointed that it hasn’t held up.

I requested information on the pricing of a hand made table of specific dimensions, and was working with a very helpful woman; however, I never received any information. I saw her a few days after, as I was also looking for a mattress, and asked if she had the estimated cost. She told me shed been in meetings, and would get the information to me.I never received any communication. This is surprising, as I had purchased a rug from her a few years prior, and found her friendly and helpful.On my second visit to show my husband the mattress I was interested in, the sales woman ( in the mattress section) appeared irritated and distracted. At one point, we were struggling to find the word for a part of the bed frame, ( side rails) and finally, I looked at her and said that she must know the name of what we were describing??? She answered side rails.Their furniture offers many choices, but the lack of response and the seeming indifference in the mattress store ensures Ill never go back.

The process of shopping here and getting the furniture I ordered was painful to say the least. I was not pleased with the service I received from the moment I walked into the store. Kristen never asked what my budget was but proceeded to down sell me on each item I was considering buying. I bought far fewer pieces at this store than I would have had I been treated better. When placing the order Kristen made multiple errors and I had to call back several times to make adjustments and fix the delivery date. While I like the furniture at this store, and Im happy with my purchases, its not thanks to the staff at the store. Dont bother trying to be helped here - service sucks and theyre not apologetic when they make mistakes. I wont be buying any furniture here again, at least not from Kristen.
