Shopped there for the first time this week. Got the kids winter jackets and gloves at great prices. Got some clothes for me as well. Everyone was friendly and the store was clean. Will definitely shop again!

It’s hard to rate this store again. They’re currently going out of business. Best stuff is already gone - the unique items like soda and popcorn seasoning, candies, and small batch items. The owners were good. The parent company, not as much. They will be missed here in Burlington.

Sold me a gift card for a promotion. Then the next time I went to use it, they said they are not excepting gift cards. Shady. Also promote 50% huge deals but when there most are 10- 20%. Had no problem taking my money but will not live up to there end and let me use it. I have original receipt but wont let me return it.

Just reopened so not as much merchandise as prepandemic I look forward to seeing them be able to become what they used to be

Great alternative to the other big box stores, decent prices, decent selection of items, would recommend.

I really want to like the store, Its great to have in the area but it looks like Kmart did before it shut down. Lots of empty shelves, doors that seem like they are going to fall off the hinge and exterior lighting that is often not on. Its hard to tell if the store is even open.Replace the front doors, put the lights on reliable timers and stock the shelves. Make it welcoming.

Was having a great experience UNTIL I saw an older worker yelling at a younger employee and treating them less than human!! I couldn’t believe how he was talking to the young girl especially from someone in his 50’s. This employees name is “Russ” and he seriously needs to be disciplined when it comes to treating everyone with basic human decency. Just because you have seniority over someone—does not mean you can treat them however you want. The way you treat other employees reflects the way you treat customers &&& customer service is the key to success..fyi

Giving this review because of lack of ANY kind of service from this store. My wife triple checked the website to make sure the safe she was buying me stated in stock and called to verify to which the girl answered “if it says in stock on the website then we have it in the store”. Rented a u-haul, get there and they are out of everything and wouldn’t do anything to help after us making the hour drive to get there with the U-haul. Won’t be returning to this store or giving them our money ever again.

Lady opening the store was so helpful to advise getting rid of drain flies so I didnt have to use pesticides because of my health concerns.

I cant seem to understand why business like this will not enforce the mask mandate. The day we were in the store there was more customers not wearing mask then those who were. Not acceptable.Besides that, there store usually have what we are looking for and their prices are usually cheaper then others. However, they do need to do a better job with cleaning and organizing. To many times I have seen items on shelves with no prices, and empty shelves.

Everybody was nice and getting my rifle and background check were super easy. Mike in the firearm department was really cool.

My husband and I went in and worked with Travis and Mike when we were looking a gun selections. Both men were extremely knowledgeable, nice, and patient. Another plus, the store was clean and well kept.

A bit disappointed with alot of their prices. For the very few stores around, you think the prices would beat most competition like the bigger box stores. I would drive further then the 20 minute drive to save a few more bucks.

I was so disappointed in their management on Saturday when I was there. The store manager Elizabeth was arguing with another employee. There was alot of yelling. I am surprised more did not complain. I hope that employee left. Theres no way a manager should be yelling like that. I want to say I will not be back.

The Burlington WI store is having a Going Out of Business sale. Got some good deals, not much left.

I visited this store on my way back from the 7 mile Fair and found it to be a very interesting place indeed. The changing room is a corrugated stainless steel metal feed storage building as seen on farms. And the prices on the products were very nice. I had a chance to talk with the stores employees and found them extremely helpful and friendly. The store was a very clean environment and well stocked. I would highly recommend that if you are there to stop in and shop this store. I will be sure to revisit it again the next time that I am in the area.

They have some great products, and pricing. Only problem is that they dont restock these item in a timely manner. Maybe due to COVID 19?

Great Garden Center with large selection of mulch and a wide variety of vegetables, herbs, and fruit-bearing bushes. All was well maintained and staff was friendly. Quick in-and-out service.

Travis and Simon have always been helpful and very knowledgeable about anything we have asked. Travis helped in the gun department and answered all of our questions. Even when we had an issue he went out of his way to try to get answers. With that being said DONT buy a Kimber, they dont support their products. Simon helped us with chicks and ducks. Super helpful and smart. We did have an older lady help us with birds one day and she was rude to my 11 year old and myself about regarding questions. Stick with Simon or Travis!!

Travis (firearm manager) helped me out a TON. He had plenty (if not more than enough) knowledge about every gun I asked about. He got me to spend more than I expected to but I’m VERY happy with my purchase. It was completely worth it. If you’re looking for ANY kind of gun, you must go see him. He was honest & made it fun.

Terrible service. Ordered chainsaw parts and it took Weeks to Even order them. Called for an item that said it was in stock online and got hung up on. Then ordered the item online to later pick up. The order went through then 2 hours later I received an email that they no longer carry it and it will take 5 days for a refund!!!!! BIGGEST waste of time! Will never come back.

Shelves very empty compared to when was big r also very small selection. Big r fishing was always full now Dunhams has more. And dont look for a power tool only carry basically cordless also compared to big r had a wide arrangement of lawn mowers they have three go to tsc for those

I like going here they have lots of choices and very friendly staff. stuff is easy to find. I dont go to Walmart anymore for obvious reasons, Im ok with it this store has anything I would go there for and its better stuff for a good price.

Great selection for farm and animal supplies. Huge selection of hunting and fishing supplies. Large pet department.Huge amount of kids toys for Christmas . A bit pricey though throughout the store. Hopefully TSC survives the arrival of huge competition

Large selection of ammunition.Great small engine department.Overpriced selection on their power tools and welding equipment.Interesting cookware and novelty cooking devices. If you have ever wanted a toaster meant for hot dogs and their relevant buns, look no further. Also, it works surprisingly well.

I recently ordered a christensen arms through these guys, and went in and spoke with Travis firearms manager. It was a brand they dont normally have in stock and would have to be special ordered, he did some digging and found out he could special order it. I ordered it on a Sunday afternoon, and it arrived in store and ready for me to come in and do the paper work 3 days later. I will definitely be buying more firearms through these guys as long as Travis is employed here. Service was great price was awesome I would definitely recommend big R to any of my friends or family who are shopping or in the market for a new firearm.

Kaitlyn is the WORST manager I probably have ever met. She is completely useless. The 14yr old kid was more useful then she was. Feel bad for anyone that needs help in the store while she is “managing”.

Not a very well organized store, went in looking for a tire the website said they had and was told the website isnt accurate. They never said sorry or apologized or even tried to help. It was treated like it should be common knowledge that when their website says the store has 3 in stock that I should know to not trust it. I will never shop here again.

Big r has many items in the store. They have all multiple areas of what you would need. They carry very good equipment for chainsaws and other items in that area. The best they have in chainsaws at cetera are the best you can buy. Stihl chainsaws are the best chainsaw I have ever used. Also they have chainsaws of steel with electric batteries that do a very good job when taking down limbs after cutting down a trunk of a tree. When youre cutting down trees or other items that you need you can find all kinds of items 4 taking up needs that you would use for outdoors. They have a myriad of clothing in this store and the clothing is extremely good 4 outdoors work and with everything else indoors. Food is there! Snow blowers are there tractors are there and everything you would need to do your work well! The people who are working there know what they need when you ask them and these people will help you with everything you need. They have firearms and other items for which people will buy because they like what they have in firearms. All I can say is big r is big deal and making that big deal is very very nice for whatever you might need to do your indoors outdoors and all around the house doors. I think big r is one of the greatest stores that we have in Burlington.

I understand things happen, but what good is a sale if you cant offer the product or service advertised. Went in for their $9.99 propane tank fill sale only to be told that they cant fill any tanks because the equipment been down. But hopefully by Monday. Oh, but we dont offer raincheck on promotions... if you knew you were expecting a run on something Id think theyd male sure they had the product available, and check the equipment.

Store was slow but the employees working were friendly and seemed to care that I was shopping in their store. I encountered thee workers that all greeted me and asked if I needed help finding something. They had a good selection of all kinds of merchandise. Ammo, guns, fishing, clothing, shoes, kitchen items, and much more. The store is about the size of the old kmarts. I would go there again

Went their for a lawnmower belt even though they did not have it I was impressed with the guy who helped me. Nice to deal with someone who knows what they are talking about. Also they have alot of belts their mine was just a odd ball size.

My family and I went to this store for the first time last night looking for a specific item but not really knowing what to expect. What we found was a very friendly staff, most notably Suzanne and Travis. When we walked in Suzanne greeted us and gave us the layout of the store which was about the size of a Target/Walmart type store. That was a big time saver for us especially with a two young children with us.Along the way we met Travis in the Sporting Goods section. First of all, he was very helpful and was willing and able to order us virtually any type of gun we were interested in owning. He was a wealth of information in several other areas including numerous strategies and best products to help build up our wildlife food plots. Then he was willing to step away from his area or responsibility to help us get a few propane tanks filled up as well which was across the store because the other team member for that area was tied up.So in summary, in addition to the store having what we needed and much more, Suzanne and Travis made what could have been an overwhelming experience painless, informative and productive. Well definitely be using them as a resource going forward.

This is actually a pretty cool store! Its very similar to a Farm & Fleet on steroids because it has more hunting and sport products. The lighting is very odd but the store is great! Ill be back soon.

While they do have a wide variety of products, I, and my daughter, were extremely disappointed with their toy selection. I would have thought a place that caters towards livestock, horses specifically, and pets, they had toys for the very young kids - in my opinion, they had nothing worthwhile for kids over 7, except toys that would get donated or thrown away. So, if you have kids over 7 & enjoy throwing your money away, this is the perfect place.
