The staff was really friendly, funny and considerate. They helped us find exactly what we were looking for, and even though the issue of the comic I wanted had just arrived, they dropped what they were doing and entered it into the system so we could checkout. They made it a really welcoming atmosphere, and we enjoyed ourselves greatly.They have a good selection of comics, ranging from graphic novels to back issues from old prints. Their manga section is on the smaller side, but there are some hidden gems in there, and its very reasonably priced.They also have a nice, clean space set aside for games and events.Game Over has a wheelchair ramp for disability access, and even though they had to move some stuff (the owner explained theyre still settling in), the inside was easy to maneuver around in, and will be even more so once theyve had time to put everything in its place.If youre reading this, its definitely worth a visit, and Burlington in general stands to benefit from having more businesses this personable and willing to accommodate accessibility.

Great Experience. My daughter was wanting to get into comics and the owner was very friendly and answered all her questions. We he realized the shelf was out of the comic she wanted he went straight to the back and brought up several issues for her to choose from. Loved how he treated her, too many brush off children. My family will be returning for sure.Also Ghost is a great mascot!

Sensei Stokes runs the best comic shop in Burlington!! Whether you stop in to just chat, or come in to read some comics, hes got you covered. Oh, and he has judo classes for youth all the way to adults. Stop in and say hi!!

Couldnt tell when the place opens or even if it opens. Website had one time Facebook had another time the door had the Facebook time but there was a post from May saying they were closed due to covered so I guess I dont get to shop here today or ever.

The owner is a great guy that really cares about the kids in his community.He is also knowledgeable about comics both old and new.The staff is nice and very friendly.I do wish the vintage collection was a little biggerBut this store is truly a pleasure to visit.I called the owner one day and he answered the phone and remembered my name.You just dont see many places with an atmosphere like this.

Unlike many comic book or gaming stores I have visited, I have found Game Over to be well organized, clean, and inviting. The staff is quite friendly and helpful in discovering new or old comic or gaming interests. The atmosphere is safe and pleasant. If you have any hesitation or reluctance in visiting, please drop by and give the staff the opportunity to impress you. Im confident they will.

Staff very friendly, and the effort to decorate the whole shop is great. Good amount of indy stuff as well as the popular DC and Marvel. Even a shelf dedicated to older, obscure comics. The 50% off boxes are alphabetized, not something youd normally see. For such a small space they do an excellent job of keeping a diverse assortment of titles in their inventory.

A fun place to meet your friends and play a game or two of your favorite trading card game but they also sell vintage consoles, comics and more! Small business but a community one.

A decent supply of comics. He has many kinds of card games, including Pirates, which is one of my faves, which surprises me since most dont carry that. Vintage/Classic video games. Small, but nice set up.

As far as comic shops go in the Alamance county area, this is probably the best one. Sensei has a heart for people and especially young people, he wants to be a role model to them. And what better way to reinforce those values than by running a comic book store/Magic The Gathering Store. That illustrates some of those same principles as well.... maybe not Magic as much. But I think anyone who reads this review will get my point.You want weekly new releases from the big two companies like DC and Marvel? Hes got em, you want a place you can enjoy a soda & comic book at? Well I already told ya hes got comic books, but I didnt tell ya until now hes got soda too guys!Seriously one of the best places in this area for young people to hang out at. Ive met some of my best friends thanks to this shop and like I dont know where I would be in my life without it existing in my own town.

Game Over has been almost like a second home to me for a few years, the owner is very down to earth and Ive learned some stuff from even watching him operate the store while my father or brother was to play in a MTG tournament, although Ive been in some too and they are also very fun and they do what they are supposed too on MTG Tournaments. Burlingtons BEST Tournament Host and Comic Shop.

They were very kind and helpful. They have a kids event on Sundays and kids club members get a free comic for their birthday. Pretty cool. We will be returning.

This is absolutely my favorite place to shop for my comics, awesome store, that is ALWAYS having some type of event! Cosplay, Anime, Music, Lock-ins, the list goes on. The owner has become a close friend of mine and any I cant think of every shopping somewhere else. I would hate to even think about losing this treasure in Burlington. So please, please go and just visit sometime, you wont be disappointed. He has a wide selection of items, from comics to toys to video games, to dvds/Vhs tapes, you name it, he probably has it. Lets continue, he always has a smile on his face and has something nice to say. He is truly a treasure that Burlington cannot afford to lose!

A very underated establishment, often looked over due to its location, the owner is a great guy. The staff is very polite and knowledgeable. Card and video game tournaments are a regular, and Game over is known for its incredibly frightening, and extremely creative, haunted house: The Dark Abyss. On Sundays they have a kids comic shop club, and card tournaments consisting of Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh. They often hold video game tournaments, which are really awesome and, the competition is often very fun. Game over is a awesome comic shop, and I have been very impressed by it. It seems like every time I am there, I end up in intriguing conversations, mostly conversations about Batman, which is Senseis (the owners) favorite super hero by far. Sadly due to a change of location, they have been getting far less customers, and I encourage you to at least try going there. The owner is experienced and very knowledgeable about Comics books, Cards, collectibles, and some video games, he also teaches Judo next door.

I have been going here for about a year now and always find ways to go back. The staff and the regulars are really nice which makes this store one of my favorite places to go.
