We didnt end up buying from Coda Motors, but we really appreciated the way their whole staff were up front with us about known issues with the vehicle. They were happy to allow us to get the vehicle checked out by a mechanic before purchasing, and after we decided not to purchase, they were very low pressure and polite. We worked primarily with Kuba and Joseph, and we would definitely buy from them in the future if they had a vehicle we were interested in.

My wife and I drove 45 minutes to see a car that they initially told us was available. We get there and the car they show us has 141k miles vs the one in the ad having 80k. When I brought it to their attention that it was the wrong vehicle, they just said oh and that was all. Customer service goes a long way guys. The lady at the counter should be taught that customer service brings sales because the day we came, you guys lost one because of her lack of having it.

The finance manager, Joseph, negotiated with the bank to get our rate down an entire percentage point. We just got a ten year old car that is in near new condition. The leather barely has a crease and all the mechanical components are in perfect working order. We received a fair warranty of a few hundred miles, in case we find any issues. Test drove a vehicle at another dealer earlier in the day and it was similarly priced, but in much worse shape. We had a good experience.

I would give the 5 stars except for the fact that I went and test drove a car and was left with questions. Now this dealership is wonderful, nice cars and people. I will not say salespersons because no one was trying to sell me a car and I had cash in hand. Now in my case I was handed the keys after I gave them my drivers license and left to drive on my own. I liked the car but was left with questions. The dealership was closing and I was emphatic to them wanting to go home.I was hoping to get a call back (I use to sell cars) as I am in desperate need of a car. I was hoping to get a call back... nothing. So yesterday morning I called them... Just waiting to see if they will call back... now I am wondering if it was my choice of car. I will update.

I recommend this dealership but get car inspected. Timing chain went out on my 13 buick regal with 45000 miles within three weeks. I contacted dealership and they said they would take care or it, not knowing they ment using my extended warranty i payed for. Took them a month to do the claim after having it for 2 months, but rented me a car. Nikki was very helpful with that process. Extended warranty company denied service for repairs due to pre-existing but thats why I bought it. Car finally fixed but car repair shop messed up the balance shaft chain tensioner. So back to shop.

First of all wow...What great inventory they have very great quality and most importantly a fair price! Yesterday I financed a Mercedes-Benz M-Class-550 as a surprise for my husband, truck is in great conditions, polished up and detailed nicely... and quality rating almost perfect ! Joseph did the best he could to help me finance this truck with a better rate then what the bank quoted me at 1st which was 16% interest.. when I heard the % I was very sad because I really wanted to gift this to my husband I almost gave up! Joseph seeing my reaction felt Compassion over the situation, however Joseph said “wait! don’t give up yet let me see what I can do “he then negotiated with the bank to lower the interest for I won’t pay more then 1/2 of the original price. He got me to a much lower interest rate and was able to close the dale next day! Joseph I’m blessed to have a caring financial specialist like you and thank you for your time and effort. They are the shadiest people to buy cars from. I purchased a honda accord from there. The lady there took care of everything. She advised me and my wife if there is anything wrong with the engine or transmission, we will take it back, no questions asked. I paid $7,500 cash for a 2010 Honda accord. I took the vehicle to valley honda the following day to get an oil change and they physically showed me everything that was wrong with the vehicle. It had things wrong with the engine, suspension, steering etc... over $5,000 worth of repairs. I took the car back the following day and the owners refused to honor the words that came from the lady that signed the legal sales agreement. They wanted to give me a different car but all I wanted was my money back. They refused. This is just the beginning. I will take this to the attorney general, the department of financial and professional regulations and put this on every online public review to make everyone aware af their deceptive practices. They are not honest! They have no integrity. I called the police that day to keep a record of the incident. I have the incident number. I have all the documentation of the purchase. As I was reading the other reviews, the person who responds says that they have no knowledge or record of who alot of the people are. That is shady. Well I purchased there and if they respond with anything different, they are lying. *Al and Joseph, you and your counterparts are frauds and you WILL WEAP WHAT YOU SOW! I called to see if the car was available & I said I was on my way which is a hour away & when I got there the guy said only appointment & he couldn’t move the cars to get to the one I was looking at cause he didn’t have nobody to move the cars! Honestly I would never recommend coda motors, I bought and bmw from them and had problems day one of getting it. Had to bring it back the following Monday bc “there was no one there to work on my car” and it was gone for 2 weeks. After I got the problem fixed we noticed that the so called “new tires” they put on we’re actually old and probably weren’t changed in years. The whole time this all went down it was IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of either Joe or the other owner. And when we finally got a hold of them they were incredibly rude and just didn’t want to work with us until we had enough of their bs. Honestly if you do plan on going here after reading this I would recommend bringing a mechanic of your own or someone who knows cars. Never trust them if they say it’s been through inspection or not. They honestly seemed so trustworthy but turns out to be your typical grimy cars salesman.

Bought my BMW AKA Black Betty about a month ago and I am happy with my purchase.

I wouldn’t recommend this dealership to anyone. They sold me a stolen vehicle and I didn’t find out until 2 months later. They did not feel at fault for this they said it was not their fault that it was the auction’s fault for selling them a stolen car. Doesn’t really make sense because it’s their job to check all VIN numbers. When asked if I could get my refund for the monthly payments I had already made, they told me no because it evened out with the miles I had put on the car. They took the car, an officer from the secretary of state and the NCIB was there. Once they confirmed it was stolen, instead of trying to help me pick another car, the owner was worried about moving all the cars inside the garage for him to leave home on time. If they would’ve handled the situation better I wouldn’t complain but they did a poor job and I wouldn’t want anyone to go through this hassle again. Don’t do it.

BUYER BEWARE! Worst used car and car buying experience Ive had, and I have purchased many! Take a mechanic, be a mechanic, or do a lot of study on your product before buying at Coda! When I brought up a potential issue with the motor prior to buying, Moe deflected that issue with anger! Unfortunately my suspicions proved accurate, $2,000.00 to fix that issue and its not over. Sold with an air bag light on (safety issue), was told it was just a sensor. It was, $900.00 later thats repaired. Dont expect a return call when you have issues with your car! I went to Coda Motors all the way from Southwest Michigan 12/26/2020. I went there specifically for a 2005 Ford Sport Trac. It had 65,000 miles which was awesome! I had it inspected and found that the rear leaf shackle needed to be replaced, in fact it was completely rusted out and a small hole in the muffler that was it. Okay cool, no problem. The bones are great and I have had no issues in that regard. They did drop the price with those issues which helped with the repairs.The other issues have been cosmetic issues that could have been negotiated upon the purchase of the vehicle which was not disclosed to me prior to purchasing.The issues were:1. Passenger Rear Mirror Completely Detached. (Noticed this during car wash when I had to turn them into car.)2. Replaced the thermostat not even 5 days later.3. Cd player doesnt take cds or reads them! (I know no one has CDs anymore but wouldve been right to share with me that it wasnt working) Wish I wouldve brought my own to see.This wouldve helped to bring the cost down for these repairs.So, in closing if you do happen to buy a vehicle from them do your due diligence in getting an official inspection and have a complete inspection on the cosmetic end such as seat adjusters, mirrors, cd players, things that you expect to work when purchasing a car.Yes these things are cosmetic but they do add up after a while.It wouldve been honorable to share those cosmetic issues as well.I tried to reach out to them 4 times as of 1/26/21-1/27/21 and have been given the run around such as saying They are out at the moment, we will have them call you or They are not available at this moment.The managers who can bring the solution never called me back.Once you buy a vehicle they may not answer your issues or complaints.Hope this helps you, conscious consumer.-Darius

Disorganized - 34k for a Tahoe with dry rotted tires and wires hanging down in wheel wells. Not even cleaned up to show. Sad experience. We walked away within 10 min. Believe the bad reviews, trust me!

The showroom itself is well kept and has a good stock of pricey cars. My issue was different.I purchased probably the only car they were selling for 5k. I booked a pre purchase inspection and the team actually denied my mechanic to inspect the car. Given that and the fact that the car had been on the lot for 100+ days and yet they were pressuring me to buy it because some other ‘kid’ was also interested and asking if I had not purchased it yet so he could. I knew this was an old tactic and so told Coda I’ll buy the car and return it if I don’t like my prepurchase inspection. Well thanks to them cancelling my mechanic’s visit I got charged twice to do that inspection. Turns out 7 months later that the car’s engine needed replacement and the previous owner had tried to fix everything, reset the code and sold it off. So now I have a chunk of metal that’s going to stop working any day now. My 1st used car purchase and it was an unpleasant experience. Joseph was really helpful though and it is family run. I will give them the benefit of the doubt but they really should do a better job catching these lemons before selling them to less experienced buyers.

Everyone here was very helpful, this was my first time financing a vehicle and I am so happy with my car! It hasnt given me any problems so far and runs great. Their vehicles are very well kept and clean, and they even fill up your tank before you drive off the lot. I highly recommend.Edit: I had an accident with my car, and they told me they can help me with getting another car and advised me to submit an online application so I did. I called right away to let them know I submitted it. I have called many times for updates and they keep saying they will call me back. I also have two hits to my credit WHICH I did not authorize. I only submitted one app and only 3 days later they made another credit hit. Today they asked me to submit it again so they can re-run my credit because they cant find the initial application. I have been patient, talked to many different people here regarding the situation but everyone seems clueless and keeps saying someone will call me back.The customer service sucks.

I’d be careful buying a used car from this dealership as the owner Joseph lets his son Christian drive around the vehicles for his own personal use. I was a bit surprised after Christian drove us all home while he was drunk after a night of drinking in downtown Naperville, in one of the cars his dad was supposed to be selling at the dealership! but what surprised me even more was the dashboard being lit up like a Christmas tree with warning lights. The car seemed more messed up than Christian!

My names EJ and I recently bought a 2000 Jaguar XJ at Coda Motors.Going in, I was kind of worried, not in the least because of the special reputation of old Jaguars and that this would be my first car purchase.Right off the bat, their team was very responsive and answered emails and phone calls promptly.Going there, the first thing one observes is brutal honesty.When I got to Coda, they told me the Jag was (almost unsurprisingly) in the shop, and were very honest about the fact that the ABS had a slight problem (I doubt most dealers with an old Jaguar in stock would be so down to earth!)They were nice enough to drive me to their mechanic, who was also very frank about the cars condition, and seemed like a very competent guy. At no additional price, they offered to fix the ABS, adjust the alternator belt, fix a tire that was slightly punctured, and deliver it all the way to my neighbourhood in Chicago.After a reasonable waiting time, the car got delivered, and Im having an absolute blast with it. Just as promised, all the issues are fixed. On top of this, they even drove me to Wendys when I couldnt drive it off the lot and my friend and I were hungry!Big thanks to Moe for being an honest businessman, Lupe for being so diligent in keeping me up to date regarding every aspect of the sale, and Christian for being a straight chiller when he delivered it.The only drawback I can possibly mention is a slight laxness regarding wearing masks and such, but hey, their dealership is large, well stocked and open air, and this is a dope car dealership, not a healthcare provider!If you happen to be like me and you see a car in their inventory that just catches your eye, you wont regret hitting them up!!

Our family drove near 50 miles to see a vehicle that we learned once we arrived: Its been sold a long time ago, theres something wrong with our website. Prior to our departure, I requested this information via the online inquiry & Dealer Chat. Both of them Did Not Reply!! Their Operation is Not Professional at all and Did Not Practice COVID-19 Safe Protocol Measures, as per our State requires! After returning home over 3 hours later - The Vehicle is still listed as available on the Web and no one answers their Online Chat with a Dealer Representative!

My experience with this dealership was very very terrible they sold me a car that the brakes went out in one month. I had to run Al down to get a second key made calls after calls about the key and Joseph- did return my call said that he would have a key made for me the Remote key was broke with taped wrapped around it. I will give him credit he had a new key in two weeks for me. The back up camera in the vehicle was removed I did not know the Vehicle was in a accident after I had bought the car Coda never show the Carmax Report I pray that they don’t keep doing Peoples like this it’s false advertising you don’t give Peoples the full report on vehicles that they are purchasing from your dealership and make promises that you do not keep at your Dealship 1 month brakes had to be replace back up camera had to be installed in the car spare tire was a used tire

I purchased a Mercedes-Benz 2004 330 Xi on the way home the whole front and started shaking I called them to notify them that there’s problems with the car they said that they would honor the 25 day 500 mile warranty so when I tried contacting somebody that deals with that part of the department they never respond or they won’t answer the phone so be careful buying a car from them because if something happens they won’t honor their responsibility !
