Brought in a laptop for a standard DC jack replacement. Computer worked beautifully, just wouldnt charge when plugged in, unless you manually held the jack into the computer. However... Josh, who did the work, sloppily fried the motherboard during the process. Brendon (owner) denies that they are at fault for ruining the laptop, and then has the audacity to tell me that I owe them for the part! My advice is to take your computer somewhere else to someone thats reputable, and who will stand behind their work.

Bought a Lenovo laptop from Best Buy in February. Computer was NEVER working working right since I got it. Took it to computer junkies and 3 days later had it back and it is running great. Lenovo sold me a computer with a defective hard drive. Outstanding service guys. Thank you!

I paid over 3k for computers on 8/17/21 and one of the systems was rebooting while I would be working on documents. I would lose a few minutes of work each time it rebooted so I was forced to take it in after a week or two last week. The store told me the chip was over clocked and thus the system was overheating so it would reboot. I know I did not go into the settings and do such a thing. I have built PCs when I was in college and after graduating college with a computer science degree, but I needed a reliable system for my business. Why would I overclock a chip and take such a risk? I would never risk doing such a thing since my computer is VITAL to my business. The guy at the front desk has always been nice, but this mis-step means I will be looking for another company since I outsource all computer work to write it off on my taxes. If you are considering these guys just be aware that something like this may cost you more $$$. They did not charge me for labor, but I did pay for a better cooling device which I feel should have been in the system originally since it is a gaming PC.

I have been using Computer Junkies for so many years, I cant remember when I started going there. They are very professional and knowledgeable. I have never been unsatisfied with their work. They have fixed everything from my personal computer, business laptop and my main computer and workstations. I have been able to get same day service and then sometimes a couple of days depending on the problem. They make sure I can keep the company I manage running smoothly. Great guys!

I personally havent been there. But the last 2 computers Ive got that been there. I got one working. The other one came back no screws . And no know hard-drive. My question is how can a tinker that knows nothing about computers get one working. All it was was a lose wire going to the monitor. And Im not a computer person and figured it out . Sounds 2 me they dont know what there doing the computers were given to me buy family and a family friend. Your the scammers

I have been doing business with these guys for years off and on and always had really good interactions and experiences however, most recently it seems they have decided to take a different approach to customer service. I simply called to inquire about a quote and the owner got extremely defensive and nasty. I was hung up on multiple times, yelled at and to top it off, told that my number would be blocked. I did nothing more than try to negotiate a little and the owner got very vile and angry. I was not rude in the slightest and did not raise my voice even slightly. This shows a great deal of immaturity on the owners part and clearly a lack of customer service skills. I will not be back and would recommend going elsewhere if you dont enjoy being talked to in such a way or being hung up on over nonsense. If I could rate 0 stars, I would.( Side Note ) : Items were sold elsewhere the same day. :) I never actually needed to sell but, apparently there is a GPU shortage soo, it wasnt super hard finding another buyer. lolEdit and Response to Owner : Firstly I would like to say that I did not and would not Demand you or anyone else give me anything. I did not say at any time that I would like to return or demand you buy back anything. I mentioned that the item was purchased from you yes. I also mentioned that I did not expect anything close to what was payed and that you could test the items to your hearts content prior to purchasing. I did not even get a chance to negotiate or speak further because after this enraged and seemingly unstable representative herd me even begin to propose a counter offer, he got extremely defensive and began his first of many outraged phone hang ups on a customer. There was no Several times of being told anything other than, the representative angrily yelling DONT CALL BACK! I WILL BE BLOCKING YOUR NUMBER! I could literally not say a word before I herd it hang up. This representative I might add, claimed to be the owner multiple times. So either you are lying about who you are because you are embarrassed for acting in such a terrible way to a customer and being called out for it or, you are OK with employees impersonating you and treating long time returning customers in this way. I would also like to note that your employee made no mention of being busy and if he was soo busy, I would assume speaking like he did in front of customers within the store isnt a super great way to represent a small business that most likely runs off of mostly return customers and word of mouth to survive. If you are in any way justifying his behavior, you sir are part of the problem. This whole thing in your mind has most likely dissolved into a he said, she said type of scenario and arent interested in hearing any truth because that would mean admitting to these terrible things which wont look any better than the either naïve or outright lying you are currently doing. So I will end with this. I will not be back and I will not and can not recommend this establishment in any way, shape or form to anyone who value customer service. Save your money and go somewhere that actually knows how to treat people with respect.

My computer turned on its lights and fans when I left it there. I was told to pay $50, that the review was free and I was deducted from the final bill. Three days later I called and was told that the motherboard was damaged but that the processor had tested it and was working well. I bought one and they told me it wasnt good either, that they were selling me one. I authorized them to put on their motherboard and again they called me to tell me that the processor was damaged too and they was able to selling me one. I told them they told me before my processor was good so I went to get my computer back because I understood I was been exploited . When I received it I saw that it was missing a fan and when I turned it on in the house was totally dead, without lights or power. Paid $50 to receive the computer in worse condition and without a vital part. I got my fan back because I show them the photo I took to the computer the day I put it in the store, they was denying it have the fan. I recommend any possible customer of them, take a photo of the inside and serial numbers of parts, I believe my processor was changed.

It was a cool Michigan evening as I perused Facebook on my HP notebook while sipping brandy on the patio while deer and antelope lolloped about. As I sat there, I noticed I began to sweat, as if a great heat was coming over me. Was it Covid, the brandy, or a late evening heat wave? I soon realized it was none as my laptop proceeded to become hotter than Jennifer Lopez. Naturally, I threw my prized HP into a nearby lake to cool down. Unfortunately, upon retrieval, my device no longer functioned taking along with it photos of my beloved cats. The next morning, I rushed to Computer Junkies where I was greeted by a delightfully charming young man who was able to use his water bending abilities to remove all traces of the liquid from my device! I took my computer in there yesterday, there was something wrong with the screen when you open it up it was only opening up at approximately 30 degree angle and working only at that angle. I took my computer to the Computer Junkies and they gave me an estimate and insured me that it will be able to be fixed my computer was fixed within the same day, and the price was excellent. Do not be afraid to give them your service they are awesome.

They have recovered my data from my thumb drive, they have fixed my computers when they wouldn’t work, and they have been able to unlock my laptops. There’s nothing they haven’t been able to do for me when I’ve came in! They’re great.

LIFE SAVERS!!! I was stressed, in a real bind and was desperate to find a rare laptop charger. I called every computer store in 3 counties and none of them had what I needed - in fact, most tired to sell me a $75 universal charger kit that I already told them wouldnt work! I finally called Computer Junkies and not only did they have the rare charger I needed, they were fast, knowledgeable, wonderful to deal with AND charged me less than half what the other stores wanted! Id give them 6 stars if I could.

Yeesh, if Brian didnt do such a good job I wouldnt have went through the hassle of figuring out to sign onto Google to give him 5 stars.My computer tanked yesterday. Before that my laptop tanked. I let that sit and collect dust for a year or so while I used the one that just tanked. These guys combined the 2 into one new (rebuilt by them, new for me) computer. They also fixed my laptop.Like most, I needed my computer fixed yesterday. They installed Windows 10 and took care of all those privacy things. Great service. Excellent price. Im not savvy enough to know peoples computer needs, but Id at least give these guys a call before I went to Best Buy or one of those type stores. If you dont need a brand new computer with the latest of everything, Computer Junkies is certainly worth a look.For what its worth, my laptop from Best Buy crashed the very first time I tried to use it. I got the blue screen. They were willing to fix it, but wouldnt exchange it. After a hassle they did finally agree to exchange it. So much for that buying experience and a happy new purchase. Then the thing lasted 6 months. I wish I knew about these guys back then.

It took them a long time for a fairly simple repair on our Apple laptop. We dropped the laptop off on a Wednesday and didnt get it back until the following Wednesday, which is a long time to go without your computer. They were not overly friendly or informative and we had to call 3 times before they even got around to looking at it. When we finally picked the fixed computer up they let slip that We dont work on a lot of Macs so thats why it took us so long. Yikes! dont tell me that! I probably wont entrust my computer with them again especially if they openly admit to not knowing about apple products.

Im a local business owner and have been using Computer Junkies for about 6 yrs now. I just got a Trojan on my server that my antivirus would not get rid of. I called Computer Junkies! I tried to take the server in myself but it was too heavy so I called them back and they sent someone out to pick it up for me. Yes I had to pay a trip charge but that was cheaper than physical therapy if I tried to do it myself. I also need my hard drive partitioned as I was running out of space in my C drive. I paid for a rush as my office & clients were down. They had it back to me in 3 hours. They are miracle workers.Also had a problem about a week ago when Windows did a Security update and my PC would not boot up. They got me up and running the same day also.Do not hesitate to call them or take your computer there!

I came across Computer Junkies about 6 months ago while I was shopping at the pet store and purchased a refurbished computer from them because it had Windows 7. I had to take it back a few times because it was really slow and the sound didnt work but they kept telling me nothing was wrong. So I took it somewhere else and the guys told me that the computer was so old that it was only capable of running Windows XP. They also told me that the Windows 7 that was on the computer was stolen and illegal. They said they had seen this so many times from Computer Junkies that even before they looked at it they knew what they would find. Apparently they steal the software from HP and put it on computers thinking they will get away with it but later on the customer gets screwed if they ever need any work done on it. This was my first and last experience with Computer Junkies. They took advantage of me! I ended up buying another computer and the guys at the other computer shop took this computer and threw it on the trash pile to show me just how worthless it was. I learned the hard way... I read other reviews saying these guys were trustworthy. From my own experience and what I hear this is far from the truth. Shame on you guys.
