Not only were the men in this establishment sexist, they questioned my ability to do my job. They questioned my ability to do what I payed $15000 to do. I went to school for HVAC. I know what I am doing. Just because you think that you know a lot and that women aren’t smart enough does not mean that you have the right to voice that opinion. Even my children know to not say anything when it is going to hurt others. Did you need to see my certification? Because I had that. Along with all of my licenses.

My furnace/ac unit was purchased here by the contractor I hired.The a/c has froze every summer since it was new. I recently found out it has a leak and has to be replaced. I wouldnt purchase anything from the Flint location. They dont stand behind their products.After 3 years and allot of service calls, including $1650.00 to replace the evaporator coil, I took Flint warm air to court.Just like the letters I sent pleading with them to do the right thing, they ignored me.I spent weeks preparing invoices, spreadsheets from all of the freon charges and work I had done to keep my a/c working.They also ignored the court and no one showed.I now have been waiting around 9 months for them to pay the judgement ordered by the court.I have a chronic illness and recently had surgery, so havent had time to find out what my next step is to collect the money they owe me, but as soon as I am healed, I will.This has been years of a huge inconvenience and lots of money that I had to borrow for the expensive repairs.Whatever you do, if you can... avoid this company and when your contractor is buying your hvac equipment, ask what company they use.If its this company, ask them to find one that will stand behind their products.Flint warm air feed does not.I was lucky in the end and found a great company:H.A SUN HEATING & COOLING.Good luck!

Recently a friends furnace broke down. Im not a professional but I got some skills when it comes to HVAC so I took a look at it. Turns out the problem was a component that is a combination of a gas control valve and ignition control system, fairly easy to replace. The problem became that this particular part had been discontinued some twenty odd years ago and of about a half dozen professionals, no one seemed to know what to use as a replacement. Finally, Steve from Blue Flame referred me to Flint Warm Air (FWA), who is the local distributor of the furnace and part. They were incredibly helpful in researching a suitable replacement part. However since Im not a certified contractor, not only would they not sell it to me, they wouldnt even quote me a price. At least I had a part number so I could go back to Steve and find out how much he could get it for as well as look for it online. Apparently though Steve decided he was gonna make some money off the deal because the price he gave me, $500, was double the average price from online wholesalers, $250, including next day S&H. Hey guys, thanks a million for your help figuring out what I need; in this category you get 5 stars. No thanks to your trade guild practices that discourage DIY spirit and allow capable individuals to be gouged by service people; for this you get 0 stars. The founding fathers rejected it as do I. Problem solved, problem staying solved.

If I could leave no stars I would. I went in there to buy a couple of heater vent registers. The old man behind the counter just had a bad attidude and his demeaner was not welcoming at all. He then yelled at me telling me he doesnt do business with people like me. I asked why and then he told me to step outside with him and he would tell me why. meaning he wanted to fight Unreal.
