I just went there to buy a new chainsaw, I had an idea of what I wanted and he just reassured me I was making the right choice. Bought a Stihl MS 261c and certain it will meet all my expectations. Keep up the good work, you guys are great!

When it comes to customer service, this place has it down perfect. They are professional and knowledgeable. Have purchased equipment from them and have never had an issue. They will do the right thing if the situation arises. I decided I wanted a more powerful power washer after I used mine once. They upgraded me with no questions asked. Now I know I have the right piece of equipment for my needs.

I wish I could post this with no stars. This establishment picked our Cub Cadet mower up in April for some warranty work. Our mower was returned in early October. Mower had less than 5 hours and would not stay charged. Voltage Regulator. They could not get the part - not their fault. Asked about a loaner so we could keep mowing - NO. We paid for a service to cut the lawn from April until early October. Asked about getting the oil changed while they had it - they wanted $100+ for that - could not even throw in a complimentary oil change after we had to pay a service $250/month while this establishment had our mower. Garbage. This is the absolute WORST customer service I have ever encountered. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone - in fact I will tell people to avoid it at all cost.

This place was great! The service guys were very helpful and polite. They took the time to explain things and have great interaction with the customers, very unlike other equipment sales places in this area. Customer service was top notch! I have a small lawn service with approx 20 clients that I started up this year. Its my part time job to help pay for my kids college. This past week I had finished 2 accounts and was about to start my third. I turned on my exmark Lazer and it started up and stalled. I tried starting it again and would not turn over, completely dead. I proceeded to call weingartz and lumberjack shack and they both advised me to bring it in and they could look at it in couple weeks. As I mentioned Im a small business and I dont have the luxury to have back up mowers. A 2 week lay over would cost me $2000. I then called Atherton and spoke with Brandon in service. I explained the problem and said to bring it in and he could test the battery. I immediately went up there and he tested the battery and it was good. Brandon and now Dan noticed that a wire was bad leading from my battery to the engine. Within 15 minutes they had diagnosed the problem and got the mower running. When I asked then what I owed them they stated, no charge, just come back. It was so hard to believe that these days there r shops that r not out just to make a quick buck, but to have loyal customer. Im that loyal customer now. Thank you so much guys u made my day. I will b a lifelong customer. I recommend anyone to Atherton.

I had to have an ECU changed on my Exmark Lazer Z. The part had to be ordered and I was quoted a price for the parts plus labor. The pricing seemed fair for the parts and the labor. I went to pick up the machine after the repair was completed to find other items such as belts, air filters, oil, oil filters and spark plugs were replaced and was being charged. I agreed that the hydro belt needed to be replaced, but I never authorized the rest of the work to be done at all. It was not in need of plugs, oil/filters or air filters as that was all replaced less than a year ago. I told them to take off what they could and refund me. Did they not expect me to look at the detailed invoice and notice the extra items that had nothing to do with an ECU conversion? Dont try to get over on people, ARS! I should have asked for the original oil and filter to be put back (but we know that was not an option).

After having a horrible experience at a nearby mower shop, I came into ARS and was greeted promptly and with friendly side talk. The salesman was one of the owners and very knowledgeable about the mowers I-was inquiring about. I had about a 10 minute conversation and I was sold on my new mower. Great guy, great prices, very painless process here. I’d definitely recommend them to family or friends.

Why wouldnt you give your money to the local shops? All big box stores sell trash and treat the customers like cattle.I walked in the door, where i was imediatley greeted by J.W. I told him I was looking for a homeowner grade zero turn to replace an aging Dixon. He showed me the few options the shop had on hand as well as units that could be had in short order.Thats when J.W. hit me with 0% Finanace for the life of the loan. I dont know about you; but thats free money folks. I chose an Exmark Quest 50 that was on the showroom floor .After signing my name on the dotted line, a total time involved process of 20 minutes, I scheduled delivery for a saturday morning timeslot. A quick pre flight safetey check with the delivery guy and i was ready to go, with a considerable quantity of gas already in the tank.Fast forward 3 days later. I had the oppurtunity to get some seat time and there was a wheel speed issue that was causing the unit to turn slightly on straight runs. It required constant stick correction. I called that morning and without hesitation, J.W. had someone over that afternoon to pick it up for service. And just as quickly returned the next day with the bonus of it being washed down.Your not going to get that level of service hardly anywhere in this day and age. Stop in and spend your money liberally and im sure theyll hook you up with a hat if you ask. Thanks guys.

Went there today on June 30th at about 3pm told the parts guy that my exmark was bogging down when in motion with the hydraulics he said its the regulator not well lets start with this and go from there. So I call back up and tell him hey I just bought the regulator come home mounted it and nothing changed he says Im not a mechanic and its non refundable. I asked what I needed he told me I didnt tell him what I needed because I didnt know lesson learned will never spend my money there.

I bought my mower from Atherton Road Sales & Service in May 2020 during the COVID. Home Depot had it $50 cheaper but I didnt want to go there due to exposure. Last week I lost my gas cap. I called Atherton to get a replacement. They told me it could be one of four different ones, I would have to tell them what to order. If I ordered the wrong cap, I would have to keep it. I walked into Home Depot today and they had my replacement cap on the shelf. I tried it on a mower like mine, it fit, and out the door I went. So much for shopping small business.

I have gone there for years with my father to buy equipment for our office and home. I have found them be increasingly rude with each visit. It feels like I receive bad service because Im not a professional lawn and landscape service. On my last visit I was greeted with a sign suggesting patrons to use a mask as it is currently required. The salesman and his coffee buddy for the morning were both not wearing them. Im happy to support local so thats why my business is going to Grand Blanc Outdoors. Thanks for helping me make that choice.

I bought a water pump from ARS in late 2019 to pump our backyard due to all the rain that we were receiving. The pump stopped working after a few months and took it back to ARS for warranty repair. Due to COVID-19 everything shut down. ARS attempted to work with Honda parts and warranty to obtain the repair parts for over 6 month’s. After no consideration from Honda, ARS made good and gave me a new water pump. Great service and this is why I will continue to do business with ARS.

Bought my Scag there several years ago and they do all my service and repairs. My only concern, if you want to call it that is how busy the service department is. If you need an emergency repair it takes about 2 weeks. They do good work so that mitigates the time it takes.

Ive both bought a machine from here and enjoyed repair and maintenance service from here. All the folks on staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Just picked up a mower that they repaired and was ECSTATIC with how it came back - looked like an entirely different machine!
