The dr. is great. The staff is absolutely horrible. Every time I go in they never have my insurance on file like they’re supposed to, customer service is garbage and they really make this whole process difficult.
I have gone to the Walmart Vision Center three times for Eye Exams, and to purchase glasses, and have had really positive experiences every time. The doctor (I am blanking on his name) is knowledgeable and personable. All the staff has always been kind and helpful. They only take insurance (or at least the one I have) for the appointment and not the glasses, but I still pay less out of pocket than I would buying glasses from an independent practice.
I go there on a regular because of a neological issue. The doctor is nice, I get my eyes checked and he sends his report to my neurologist. Always had great experiences till today when I was just trying to make an appointment. The manager who was working was so rude. Didnt even say hello. I asked to make an appointment in the afternoon or a weekend and when there were available times she told me one day and I asked if she had any other days open. She told me I needed to call when I can figure it out. Called them later and spoke to a lady named Catherine who was so nice. I hope I never have to deal with that manager ever again.
Up until now I have had great service. I was needing to order contacts and did not realize that my prescription was just over a year old and had not received any sort of notification about needing to come in for an appointment (I had always received one prior to this year). When I sent the order in I was told they would need to confirm with my eye doctor. Since this was just in the last week and we are all under a shelter in place I assumed the vision office was closed down, but certainly there would be a way to communicate with the doctor to approve an extension or provide me with a couple more weeks of contacts - NOPE!!! Keep in mind that I cant even go in for an eye appointment during this time (I would gladly do this if it was safe and possible) yet office refuses to contact the eye doctor or the other Montana Walmart eye doctor to review my file and allow an extension. Flat refused to help me out in anyway. When calling the main WalMart # got the same answer with no one even willing to try and figure out a way to make this work. They just said to wear my glasses - funny its OK for me to wear a 10 year prescription for glasses, but cannot get contacts. I know I cannot be the only person having this problem so why isnt Walmart attempting to find a work-around for this issue. Have had great service for 15 years and this one incident has lost them a customer forever.
I have been lucky I guess by reading these reviews I have had two appointments for my eye exam and glasses both were good. Dr. Mitchell was very nice and service was as stated.
We all got our glasses 6 total. . They all were done well and Alesha was wonderful helping us find the right glasses.
What a miserable experience! I went in for a new prescription and right off the bat, the woman working for the doctor begins ordering me around I felt like I was back in basic training. After all was said and done and waiting 7 weeks for my glasses with no call letting me know they were there the glasses were way way off. I went back and the doc swears by the prescription and said the lenses were not made right. Back to the lab for another 6-7 weeks. I dont get why it takes so long. I still dont have the glasses and probably wont wont even pick them up since now I know the prescription isnt going to work since in the mean time I went to a new doctor, got a prescription very different than here and the glasses are perfect.
Alright, going to list this in bullet statements.1. Zero people skills2. No sense of urgency3. Hygiene issues from the top down. (Body odor, breath that could kill)4. Everyone seemed like they hate working there.5. The good ol’ “my system just crashed” excuse6. Sucked! Will get my prescription filled somehwere else.7. If you are going to work in close proximity to people have some clue about personal hygiene.8. Don’t belch before you sit down with me.9. I don’t work for you.I understand that people don’t quit jobs they quit people. The person who is the cancer in that place needs to go, so the others can be happy at work. Or the person doing the hiring is a D+ leader and won’t hire A and B+ people.
Dr Mitchell is great & the elderly lady is a sweetheart. Employee Aleisha has had a bad tude in person & over the phone. Also tried ordering contacts via phone & she advised would take 3 weeks to receive but if I come into the store & have them shipped to home address I would receive in 3 days. ???
I see a lot of bad reviews on here but I went the past 2 Saturdays, one of which was made late the evening prior, and thought the service I received was great. I got a pair of contacts while I was there and ordered new lenses for my glasses. When I went back today my glasses were ready to go and I purchased more contacts. I have no complaints about anyone I dealt with there and got exactly what I needed.
Mutiple real argumentative experiences by customer service. Will sell you unfinished or broken glasses. Act like its normal to accept sub par work for top doller. Do not buy Zeiss it ends up being HD only not the Zeiss version. I go to all walmarts and sams clubs nationwide. This is by far the worst vision center experience out of all. Many years ago they did well. Thats No longer happening.
Had to wait more than a month for eyeglasses. First the doctor gave me wrong lenses send them back 2nd time finally after more than a month i get them he gives me used broken frames. Hes a idiot Dr Mitchell. Dont go there if you want eyeglasses. Tries to rip people off. Thats my opinion.
6 weeks have waited for trial contact lenses. one eye i vision is same with or without lense. went 2 months before my vacation. now going on vacation and have NO CONTACT LENSES.
We had a very poor experience with the Walmart Vision Center. They did our sons initial exam for contact lenses and we purchased several sets. But when it was time to re-order the contacts, they said we had to drive to the store to give our credit card in person (we live a rural 100 miles from the store so this would be 200 miles) and then we have to drive AGAIN (200 more miles now equaling 400 miles) to pick up the contacts. Unless you live in Butte, dont use this vision center for contacts.
Fast friendly and fixed my eyes without any long waiting and received my glasses within 14 days.
I receiver the wrong Rx & couldnt even walk with new glasses. Horrible service. Didnt do bifocals correctly. Ended up insisting on refund & going. to Walmart. Vision center in Helena
Horrible customer service. Rude and condescending in person and on the phone. Every time I tried to pick up my glasses something new came up.. waiting a month and still nothing...
Terrible, terrible customer service. Always put on hold only to have her answer and say...well call you back. Two friends have gone to this place and both are highly disappointed.
